Jack Mac's Swill & Grill

This place is amazing. I come here frequently due to the friendly, family-like staff and amazing ever-changing assortment of craft beer on tap. The bartender John treats me like we known each other for years and is one of the many great personalities you will encounter here. Also easily the best Mac-n-Cheese in town!!!

The biggest thing keeping this from a 5 star is slow service. I understand and appreciate the casual, relaxed atmosphere. However, 15-20 minutes between interactions when needing beer or food is a little too slow for me. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Food is unique and on point. Craft beer selection is diverse for all palates. This is definitely a place to go and relax with your friends, chat, and have good food and drink. However, if you're trying to have an efficient meal this is not the place.

This is one of my favorite places anywhere. And I'm picky. While the primary attraction for us is the great selection of constantly rotating Texas beer taps, the food is awesome, the atmosphere relaxed and pubby, and the servers are the best ever. Oh, and the owners, Jack and Amy, are fantastic people who care deeply about making there customers feel at home and leave happy. Jack's food is magical. Just go there. Be happy.

This is a staple for North Dallas. I have been coming here since 2013. Moved to Austin 2 years ago, of course you can always find a good fresh craft brew in Austin.. but Dallas is a different story. Visiting recently I decided to drop in for lunch. The bar is the same. Love that. The food is still amazing. Draft rotation is in full swing, nothing on the board I have seen before my visit today. The service here is some of the best in Texas. Jack MacDonald the owner is a very friendly soul and always talks with his customers. I will be a patron for life!

I really like this place. They have a great craft beer selection, specially infused spirits, and great food! Their hamburgers, pizza, and chicken and biscuits are amazing. Also, about once a month they offer really creative and delicious food specials that rarely fail to please.

It was okay. I don't think the server understands how to be attentive. Took me five minutes at the bar to get a menu then five more minutes for him to take my order. Did not seem to move with a purpose. Usually, if a customer sits at the bar and does not drink, the customer wants to eat. Server gave me daily specials but really did not sell them to me. Did not tailor to what I may want. I ended really buying an appetizer when I was expecting a meal. Food was really good but service was lacking. I left still hungry.

A great variety of Texas brews on tap and a knowledgable and friendly staff. It was my first time visiting, but the bartender new the names of most of the people at the bar. The people with me at the bar were friendly. I had a pizza and it was very good. A great pub.

I honestly didn't think that coming into this place that the food would be so yummy. The menu was different and I didn't want to just get a basic burger. I ended up getting the Cobb salad. It was one of the best salads, as easy as this one was, I have ever had!! We walked in and were not greeted and didn't know you were suppose to seat yourself. The bartender saw us walk in. Would be nice to be greeted and told what to do instead of standing around. Luckily we were there for a club meeting and followed what they did when they arrived after us.
