Popped in for a haircut in Shoreditch for my 11 year old son, barber was highly skilled and communicated so well my son got the exact haircut he wanted. Friendly staff and tasty refreshments. Great “souvenir” experience in the East End!

Google
Brilliant experience at Jack the Clipper! The team are professional, welcoming, and know exactly what they’re doing. My haircut was sharp, clean, and exactly how I wanted it — they really pay attention to detail. The vibe in the shop is great too — relaxed but classy. Easily one of the best barber experiences I’ve had in London. Highly recommend!

I've been meaning to write a review of this place for a while. I go to the Spitalfields one and they're the most consistent barber I've ever used. They always take the time to really listen to what you want and I've never come away feeling unhappy with my haircut or beard trim. I've usually been with Ali who is amazing but I've also had several of the other barbers and they've always been great. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a haircut or beard shaping.

Google
Needed a quick last minute haircut so went to Jack the Clipper for a walk-in appointment - so thrilled I did! The team are so warm & welcoming, and Corrin (sorry if I spelt wrong!) did such a good job on my cut, and really listened to me throughout. Will definitely be back 😁❤️

Usually I cut my own hair but decided to get a London cut while I was on holiday. Strolling around the Spitalfields Market area I stumbled upon this shop. Very welcoming group who offered me a drink right away as I waited for the next open spot. I told my barber Ahman (probably misspelled, sorry) what I wanted and he did exactly what I described but even better. Most friendly, clean, and skilled barber I've been to in years. Thanks for the memory!

Been using Jack the Clipper (Shoreditch) for a couple of years - excellent service and haircuts. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Google
Took my little brother to get his haircut at Jack the Clipper and the result was lovely. Customers service was 10/10 too.

Yelp
Really liked the whole London barber experience. My barber had more than 15 years experience and I could tell he was a pro. From the first hair washing, the careful prep, and scissor cut to the finishing with fire to clean up the ears, second wash and styling, this barber was on-point. Inside, the shop was a quintessential barber establishment with dark, rich finishes and coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Yelp
Great service. Wonderful attention to detail. Expert work and styling. They saw me right away, washed my hair (twice!), and gave me a top-notch haircut, beard trim, shave, and even a first-time flaming ear hair removal!

Yelp
I was staying in London during the second week of my trip to England and was overdue for a haircut. I found JTC on Yelp, and I decided to give it a try. I received a shampoo, a great haircut, a scalp and shoulder massage, and a updated hairstyle. It was like I had a spa day, lol! I walked out feeling like a celebrity. I highly recommend Jack the Clipper!!

Yelp
WALK INS ONLY Great service. Enjoyed a Turkish tea while I waited. Husband had a Turkish sparkling water. He said it was the best haircut he's ever had. We came here all the way from San Francisco. Pricey but worth the experience $60 USD Hot towel treatment, Turkish ear hair flaming, arm massage, great haircut. They need to branch out to California I think they'd kill it out here.
google avatar

Joe A.

Yelp
Great haircut and excellent shave, ear flame, etc., but no real arm massage, they ran one of those Brookstone beater things over my arms. That was a bit lame.
google avatar

Jack J.

Yelp
Best haircut! Great price! I have never had this kind of service. And apparently what I got was a Turkish style haircut and it was fantastic. But don't ask me what the look on my face was when my barber put the cotton ball in the liquid and then lit it, bringing the little flame around my ears to singe off the baby hairs! It worked, though! Attentive, extremely polite barber whose detail to attention was unparalleled - with a hand and face massage too! @jacktheclipperbarbers ROCKS #haircut #jacktheclipper #london #spitalfields

Yelp
Wow. I'm not sure I could ever get my hair cut or beard trimmed in the US ever again! My hair looked like a lawn in front of an abandoned building before I stepped foot into this barber, but then, my life changed. From the sweet fade to the razor perfect beard lines to the unexpected toasted ear treatment, this place will serve you well AND at a great price! Many other barbers in the area require an appointment, so the welcomed walk-in was a total bonus. +

Yelp
I've just moved to London from San Francisco and got my first haircut in my new city. After reading multiple reviews on different barbershops in London, Jack the Clipper caught my attention because of the name but more importantly great reviews. The shop in super clean, very friendly staff, and awesome atmosphere. My barber was Robert in the Bow Lane location and I highly recommend him. He wasn't pushy and asked me how I wanted my cut. I honestly had no idea what I wanted and took his recommendation and let him style my hair and I absolutely love it. I will definitely be coming back to Jack the Clipper and asking for Robert from Romania!

Yelp
This men's barber just south of Spitalfields Market has been around for years. They've recently upgraded their decor (and name) to fit the changing neighborhood characteristics. It's an 'old-style' men's barber, but with a much more modern staff and clientele. The attention to detail is what stands out. From the moment you walk in you'll see it's different. The decor is 'sexy', and they'll offer you a free drink while you wait, or during your haircut. Last time I went I had a Turkish coffee - nice touch! I think you can also have a soft drink or juice, or even a beer. In terms of services, they'll will work with you and do what you ask, which isn't always the case at many barbers. They offer shaves as well, and get ready for the turkish flame flourish at the end. There's no need to book, just walk in, have a seat and peruse the trashy red tops or men's mags while you wait.

Yelp
Deserves the high ratings! Visiting London from the U.S. and got the full treatment (haircut, shave, nose wax, flaming ear hair removal). Thanks Pablo.

Yelp
Premium prices Amateur job.. didn't speak great English so wasn't interested in discussing what I wanted or fulfilling brief. Interfered with haircut,

Yelp
Needed a cheap and simple haircut, which is not so easy to find on a Bank Holiday. Stumbled on this place from my trusty Yelp search and I called ahead to make sure they were open. It's a Turkish style barbershop. Was pretty busy, but I only waited 5 minutes. The haircut was good! My barber's fade ability was good and I left feeling happy with my do. I'll likely come back, but it's on the south side of Spitalfields and not that convenient for me. I think I do prefer Legends on Old Street though. Their service and touches feel a bit more refined. Time will tell.

Yelp
In town from California. Went to see Serdal. One of the best barbers I've had in a LONG time. Dude knows what he's doing. Put it this way, if I won the lottery, I would hire Serdal to follow me around the world as my private barber. Dudes legit! I will be coming back to see him every time I'm in London.

Yelp
Had a two week Holiday in London and went to these guys twice--they were that good. They provide the legendary Turkish Barber experience--attention to detain, superior skill, top-flight service, and that flaming wand to singe off ear hair. My shave was among the smoothest I've ever had and I've had many. Also, my 12 year-old son got the best haircut of his life there. A superior experience!

Yelp
Ok I came here because of the rest of the comments and all I can say is this place far exceeded all my expectations. It's arguably the best haircut I have ever received. The barber's attention to detail with the straight edge razor, and their unique methods were a fantastic experience. They used fire to singe off the hair on my ears. No need to be alarmed, there was no pain at all. In fact, it was very entertaining! Will definitely come back next time I'm in London!

Yelp
I've had two cuts here now and feel like I've experienced the spectrum of what they have to offer. I'm committed to becoming a regular. The first time I had a talkative young lad who followed my instructions very closely, made me feel really welcome and gave me a great cut. I also opted for the shave which was again very good and only took a couple of minutes. In all I think I was in there for over an hour and left feeling great. The second time I was served by an older guy who was a bit less chatty but more efficient, which was very convenient as I was on my lunch break and short on time. I am generally a bit unsure about what I want done, but this guy gave me a great cut and a style I didn't even know I wanted. I'll definitely be going back when I next need a haircut, and I don't mind which barber I get.

Yelp
Was in London for a vacation with my son and he suggested that we get hair cuts and a shave. Found "Jack the Clipper" on google. What an experience. I've had many straight razor shave but never quite as good as this. For my son, he's never experienced a shave like this. He'll never find one quite as good. THANKS. So. California, USA

Yelp
Been coming here for years and never had a bad cut. These guys definitely know what they are doing. They always take great care and attention in what they are doing. No booking ... Just take a seat and wait... It's worth it

Yelp
First time having a straight razor shave. First time having all of the hair singed off of my ears with fire. First time I had a barber tell my girlfriend to leave the building because she was bothering us, lol... All in good fun! I had the guy named Musa and he was hilarious and did an amazing job. Would definitely go back if I was in that neighborhood of London again! Thanks Musa!

Yelp
Just did a walk-in and just got an awesome haircut. It was a terrific experience. Very welcoming of an out of towner like me.

Yelp
Best haircut... Ive ever had... not even close to the barbershops ive gone in NYC/Miami etc... worth the trip... thanks fellas!

Victor C.

Yelp
Paid $50 for a skin fade - which I didn't get. Along the sides and most of the back is not smooth like a true skin fade. I even showed him a picture of what I wanted so there wouldn't be a misunderstanding, didn't help. I've gotten this cut for 1/3 of the price. Maybe I just got the wrong guy... He was good with the scissors though, I'll give him that.

Yelp
Great precision barbering. Recommended on a business trip to London. Couldn't be happier with my haircut. If you haven't been to a Turkish barber before then you certain must. Check out these guys
google avatar

Ira P.

Yelp
I've been getting my hair cut by these guys and no one else since arriving in London, and they've done a great job about 11 out of 12 times. I always just show up and walk in, and while they're always busy, there's rarely more than a 20 minute wait. The guys are friendly and skilled, and they always offer water, beer, etc. I'm a big fan of their attention to detail - they always shave the back of the neck, flame the ear hair, and trim the eyebrows in addition to cutting hair quite well. I haven't had them shave my beard yet, but I have no doubt they know what they're doing there too. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place is great - very reasonably priced - great haircut, friendly people, will definitely go back
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
The guy who game me a beard trim took out too much from underneath causing it to slightly fork for a few months afterwards. The hair cut I got at the same time was fine - super tight lines if you are after that sort of look.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Was here on vacation and wanted a nice proper shave and was extremely excited to have an awesome experience, especially after a terrible hair cut. They were friendly, nice and did a great shave. I would say that if you want to come get a good shave go here. It also has a great atmosphere for men. :)

Yelp
I've got what can be defined as the worst haircut of my entire life. And being a guy whose hairstyle is no more complex than a slightly longer on top than on the side cut, it really is incredible. Maybe it was because the guy who cut my hair (the older one at the Shoreditch shop) kept talking with the other barbers, barely looking at my head. Or maybe because eventhough I asked him not to cut too much on the temple, even after expressively specifying the name of the cut I wanted, the guy kept cutting more and more, till I resembled a moron, with no way of fixing it. When I trimmed my hair by myself I literally did a much better job. I will spend two months in hiding, and I will never -ever- get back to that place.

Duncan S.

Yelp
Quite expensive, slow and a crap haircut. Went in there at lunchtime, so it can be slow when a place like that is busy... they weren't especially, but there you go. When i was finally seated I had to wait for the guy to stop yapping. He then stopped every now and then to chat with his mate, or at one stage to pop out to give a business card to a passing punter (rather than focus on actually maintaining business). At the end of the experience I was left with a non-deliberate, and quite randomly lopsided haircut which will need to be corrected, a slightly burnt scalp from aggressive hairdrying, and a £20.50 shaped hole in my pocket. I have been to cheaper and far better Turkish-run barbers in the East End, especially in Hackney. This was probably the worst haircut I have ever had. Avoid.

Yelp
Jack The Clipper Shoreditch Review: DO NOT GO. One of the barbers cut me with a razor on my face a month ago during beard trim to the point of bleeding - this was in the Shoreditch store. Still trying to get rid of the mark over 4 weeks later. Not only that, but I also got charged full price for the dubious "service" - and a mark that is set to take months to heal with several applications of a special cream daily, and that's if it heals at all. This shows Jack the Clipper is complete hit or miss. Some of the guys are good (I've been going there every few weeks this year), and some are absolutely terrible. Cutting your clients when you're in the barbershop business is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, it takes just one bad apple to spoil the whole lot. Wouldn't recommend, too risky, you never know if you're gonna get some scars as a bonus to your trim.

Yelp
In town for a few days on business and stopped in for a trim. Very hip place, cool atmosphere and friendly barbers. Got a great haircut.

Garrett B.

Yelp
I went to this establishment after watching "Haircut Harry's" barber videos on YouTube and I must say, it was not what I expected. The service seemed rushed and the barber was asking me if I wanted other services after I requested the "Royale" package, which is £56. If I'm paying that much, shouldn't the services be provided with no questions asked? I don't know, altogether it seemed very underwhelming and I probably won't be going back unless the shop isn't busy.

Daniel W.

Yelp
Too inconsistent, sometimes you get a good haircut sometimes they just cut it ignoring everything you have asked for. Will not go back as too expensive a gamble.
