Always a great experience. Local favorite of mine. Best staff around!!! Mother's Day tradition for me. But also love going for happy hour. And their breakfasts and dinners are great too. A must try if near the Arvada area!!!

Plans for Father’s Day quickly dissolved when my son’s truck broke down. Our change of plans was to head to Jack’s Bar and Grill for a burger and we were not disappointed. We were quickly seated and had the full attention of our server. Beverages were quickly brought to the table and we were allowed ample time to make our selections from a menu that had something for everybody. I ordered a “custom burger” with cheese and onion straws. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious. I opted for the sweet potato fries instead of standard potato and was very happy with the choice. We sat inside with a view of the dining area outside. It looked very comfortable in the shade of trees on a hot day. The service outside seemed equally responsive to the needs of diners. All in all Jack’s is a great place to grab a meal. I will be heading back and trying other menu items.

First timer to this place. Wasn't impressed with the male server as her forgot our drinks. We did have a gal take over for him so I am assuming he is new. The place is cute with lots of TVs, great for having a drink and watching sports. We ordered food and the Pueblo slider was cold, disappointed but tasted okay. Sweet potato fries were good. The fish and chips were way over cooked and tough. So the main food was just subpar. The best is their fried artichokes, super AMAZING and highly recommend. I gave 4 stars as generosity as the main food wasn't good but the app and atmosphere were great.

Google
We had a really nice server... The food was not good at all... My wife had a completely tasteless French dip... I'm not sure what I was served, it was supposed to be a chicken fried steak sandwich... Im not even sure there was any meat involved or if it was just breading... There was no cream gravy on the sandwich nor on the side. It had no flavor or seasoning and had lettuce and tomatoes on the sandwich, both sides of the bun for filler. I'm thinking shoe leather might have tasted better... Where is Gordon Ramsay when you need him? I would never eat there again!

After being seated, we placed our drink order with our food order. Generally the drinks get delivered to us within a couple few minutes of the order. Our drinks didn't come to us until after our food was delivered and the food runner had remind the bartender who was a brunette female who appeared to be spending more time talking to people at the bar than filling drink orders. There was another couple who arrived well after us who got their drinks right away and before our drinks arrived.

Fun place for breakfast. Steak and eggs were delicious. The coffee is also very good.

Google
We enjoyed our experience here for brunch. Very well priced food and great atmosphere. Loved the mission of the place to help out those with disabilities and provide them with jobs/opportunities. The coffee menu is very good and I had a solid café au lait. Definitely get a coffee here. Really enjoyed the “home fries” which was potato wedges. Definitely like the healthy side of things. The NY steak tasted good, but unfortunately came out cool/cold. Definitely a great place to eat at.

Yelp
A Wonderful Place! Everything Jack's has is made in-house. The pies, ice cream, jams, sweet treats, in addition to a full breakfast and lunch menu, makes for a great business. They have an extensive drink menu as well and it did not disappoint. I ended up purchasing their homemade strawberry and champagne jam - one of their top sellers - and it was delicious. Athan Miller, the owner, is fantastic and has a keen sense of business. Miller makes a point to establish a safe space for employees of all walks of life. She understands business, but more importantly understands people. It's a great space to be in! I only wish Jack's was closer in proximity to my house so I could visit more often.

Yelp
I just moved to the area and thought I'd try it out but they cross contaminated my vegetarian entree and I found bacon in it! Also the poached egg was undercooked and too runny (even part of the egg whites was clear) so definitely not cooked thoroughly. Also the avocado served on my plate had brown spots on it, so not too fresh. It looked nice from the outside but inside a dive bar feel with loud old rock music from the 70's blaring. Not too nice on a Sunday morning for brunch. I won't be back. Nothing special about this place and when I informed the server about the cross contamination of bacon in my vegetarian entree she was argumentative and said I ate too much of the food for her to do anything about it even though I didn't ask her for anything. I was informing her and I didn't discover there was bacon til I was almost done eating with 40% of the entree not eaten yet. I don't eat pork so I take cross contamination seriously and someone could get sick from that. They don't care about dietary restrictions here at all. I felt I could've gotten a better breakfast from McDonald's and I'm not exaggerating.

Yelp
Everything was really good, made to order. I love the fact that Special Needs people are employed there! They are so happy to wait on customer and fix their order. Good work ethics!

Yelp
We had the pleasure of meeting with one of the owners, Athan Miller, and getting a tour of the neighboring prep kitchen at AJ's Deli. We were impressed with the business savvy, model, and care that have gone into Jack's/Steamer's. This bar & grill has become a neighborhood staple in Arvada, serving good eats, coffee, cocktails, homemade ice cream (vanilla bean, amazing!), baked goods, and jam. Named after owner Jack Miller, a former Olympic skier with bib #37, there is ski-themed decor in this welcoming place. Food and drink are reasonably priced. Homemade jams are $8, and merch runs from $1 for a sticker to $50 for full-zip hoodies. What really makes Jack's special is its inclusivity. Jack's employs adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and pairs them in the appropriate environment. (Do you prefer the circus or the library? Circus, you work in the noisier restaurant. Library, you work at the quieter prep kitchen.) Definitely stop by Jack's. It's worth the trip even if you don't live in the area.

Yelp
Dinner out with my sweetie. We wanted something cozy so we went to Jack's. I love their green chili. It is delicious. That is my go to order so I stayed true to form. My husband had the BLAST: bacon, lettuce, avocado, Swiss and tomato. He chose texas toast and enjoyed every bite. There was plenty of parking the evening we went. It can get crowded though. Good food does that. The service is always welcoming. Great overall experience.

Yelp
Always a great place to gather and enjoy a great meal. The casual atmosphere makes you feel at ease and the full bar offers many selections of custom cocktails to local and domestic beers. I love coming here for breakfast! The steak & eggs with smothered breakfast potatoes is my go to favorite! The breakfast burrito is HUGE! Everything here is house made with love! Wait staff is very attentive and friendly! Great local Colorado Vibe here and dedication to local charities is to be highly commended! Five Fabulous Stars! Love Jack's!

Yelp
It was our first visit there and had a great experience. Our server Evan was awesome! We went with his suggestion of the Reuben sandwich and French dip. The Reuben was devoured so fast and best I've ever had. French dip was also delicious. My niece got the happy hour burger slider which comes on ciabatta with a good portion of fries. We also tried the green chili fries (good portion) and potato skins (3) on happy hour and I'll literally come back for those potato skins. It was quiet but had a couple tvs and a bar, nice outdoor patio area as well. We finished out with a slice of s'mores pie and it was hard to choose because every pie looked amazing. Evan said that the deli across the street makes all of their desserts fresh! The fan faves are the peanut butter and the banana crème pie. The s'mores pie was not too rich and great to finish a meal with. Overall great experience and can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Had breakfast with 3 gals from the gym. I had the eggplant Benny w. an iced tea. Wow! The eggplant was crispy & not soggy, the poached eggs were perfect. Potatoes were not greasy & undercooked (like an afterthought @ most restaurants). 2 of the gals had something I think called a Skinny Mini. They opted for the potatoe medley (reg spuds, purple spuds & sweet potato), saidctgere eggs were done perfectly & that the greens & poached pear were a nice touch. They both had a Bloody Mary that looked impressive. I can see why this place fills up on the weekends. Plenty of goodies in the menu & lots of grab & go by the coffee bar. Our server was friendly, answered all our questions & handled our special requests. Check it out

Yelp
I ordered cheeseburger, french fries and some hot wings to go. My order was ready on time. We took it home. It was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed picking my dinner up next time we're going to Jack's we will be dining in.

Yelp
Was at Jack's again recently. They had a special price going for Margaritas--I dared to try one and was pleasantly surprised. Go for it!

John H.

Yelp
This place isn't great honestly. The food is under seasoned, and correct cooking techniques aren't really followed here. I was eating here the other day and it was dead. I can see why it's slow now lol
google avatar

Yelp
Omg where do I begin I ordered multiple dishes because I had never eaten here before and J have absolutely no complaints I ordered the fish and chips, The veggie burger and the French did I would definitely recommend the French dip I can't even describe how delicious this sandwich was all the flavors were amazing!! The service was amazing! And the environment was perfect for my preference the music was not too loud so that was amazing!

Yelp
My fiance & I just moved to the neighborhood and this was our first outing at a restaurant in the Leyden Rock area. The food was unbelievably bad. Ordered: - Potato skins- not good. We only ate it b/c we were hungry from a long hike. - Fish & Chips with sweet potato fries- Fish tasted like frozen fish you buy from the grocer store. Upgrade to sweet potato fries cost $2 but they were literally all end pieces. Not worth it at all - Poblano burger- came out completely overcooked that I had to send it back. It was actually hard when I bit down b/c of how burnt it was. The burger patty was also TINY, it wasn't even the same size as the bun. One would think that if we sent the burger back, they would put a rush on it. Nope, my fiance was done with his meal and I was still waiting on the burger to the point that I decided I didn't want it anymore & I was HUNGRY. When I told the bartender that I didn't want the burger anymore, she said that the burger was just ready & packed it to go for us. Again, the 2nd burger was also burnt & tiny & literally had no toppings. Where's the lettuce, tomato??? They advertise like the burger had a ton of toppings but if you see the pic, that's what you get. I had ordered a side salad with it for an upcharge of $2. It tasted fine but given how long they had me wait for the burgers, they should have had taken the side salad off of my tab too. The bartender was friendly but the food just doesn't justify us ever coming back here. Also, we ordered 4 noses Pineapple IPA on draft on happy hour, and it was still $9, so regular price is $10!! Completely overpriced for the area. FYI- we visited Saturday 7/2 around 5pm and we sat at the bar

Yelp
Great brunch spot. Took myself out here after my dentist appointment. My teeth were so clean and ready to get all its fav things back in all their nooks and crannies. Will be back in the future.

Yelp
So sad. I have a friend. She is an amazing woman, and she had the most miserable ADA experience ever with this establishment. I have pasted her post/review here. Shame on this establishment. From a woman that needed a little bit of help and some good coffee (she got neither): Do know this coffee shop...what a terrible experience!!! I was stranded no service to order an Uber... so I sat outside and a nice girl helped me. She went into the coffee shop asked for the wifi password so I could get an Uber... I gave her my credit card and said order yourself and me something bc I needed to use the wifi. The lady working there was sooo RUDE!! She WALKED (lucky her) out the front door and slammed my coffee down and said I have people inside and I'm not a waitress! I thanked her for my shitty 6 dollar small coffee and tipped her a dollar for taking the 4 steps out of her shop to her table so I could use her wifi to order an Uber!!! I also pointed out that nothing about her place was handicap accessible! (Hey I'm not saying it should be). I am saying it's an awful place coffee was horrible and it was empty. Merry Christmas to you too.

Yelp
I'll only give this place two stars because the employees are kind but kindness can only go so far when the overall service isn't there. It took over 45 minutes to get our drinks & more for the food. we had to ask for refills on a bottomless mimosa and any other drinks. The mimosa was good. I got the belgian waffle with chocolate chips & I thought it was delicious, except the butter was inedible because it was rock hard. My husband got the steak & eggs and he definitely did not like his. His steak was cooked ok he ordered it medium rare but it was a really dry and tough cut of meat with no type of flavor at all. It made his overall meal unenjoyable since the rest of his food didn't seem to have any flavor either. The toast was great with the jam though! My sister got the build your own breakfast & they took forever between her items she ordered. Her bottomless mimosas wouldn't have been bottomless unless she asked the waiter, she seemed to be in her own world and didn't attend to us much. The gentleman who brought us out our food was amazing though he was very attentive on what was still missing between the longgg wait between items being brought out. My brother in law found a hair cooked in his food towards the end. Overall, it could've been good, but it wasn't. Maybe on a better day, because all the food did look delicious

Yelp
Visited this coffee shop while in Arvada, I will definitely be back to try the food. Their mission statement of employing people with disabilities is magnanimous, and if for no other reason, makes me want to support them.

Karen B.

Yelp
Had the Blackened Chicken salad with hot bacon dressing, perfect portion size! Was not overloaded with greens, nicely dressed and chicken wasn't so hot that you missed the flavor. Friend had Taco Salad with fajita chicken, same serving, plenty of guac and veggies, not lost with greens. Served with homemade tortilla crisps instead of huge greasy tortilla bowl. Everything was very fresh!

Yelp
This is got to be the worst food I've had in a very long time Very poorly run and managed as we waited over an hour and 20 minutes to get our food and no one had the courtesy to even come for coffee or to minimally just apologize After waiting all that time to go home and then several hours later everybody was not feeling good from the food they I can't see why anyone would eat at this place. Even their coffee was very thin doubt tasted like dirty water I guess if you're desperate this is where people go to eat in the neighborhood

Yelp
We'd worked up an appetite after chasing a little white ball around, so we decided to give Jack's a try. The guy at the course told us they served breakfast all day, but alas, they do not. Our server did tell us that we could get a Breakfast Burrito which did not tempt either of us. I opted for the Poached Pear & Beet Salad which was delightful. The tasty blackened chicken, port poached pears, pickled beets, blue cheese crumbles and candied walnuts on a bed of crisp greens served with a light citrus vinaigrette definitely hit the spot. My companion ordered the Burger your Way with Sweet Potato fries and it also yummy. Bonus: It was such a nice day we were able to sit out on the patio and enjoy the sunshine.

Yelp
Jacks has awesome customer service. The food? Meh... It was lacking. My waffle was cold and crumbly. The butter was cold and unspreadable. The potatoes were over greasy. I ordered an egg that arrived undercooked. Over all, I was not overly impressed.
google avatar

Dennis T.

Yelp
Just a heads everyone my wife ordered a burger your way from the menu, ordered it medium rare and it was a hockey puck. She had to cut it with steak knife. The fries were burnt and were uneditable. I order a steak salad. I ordered the steak medium rare and received a rare steak and was as tough as a chuck roast that was under cooked. We ordered some chicken wings and received 7 in total and some carrot stick and celery stick that seem not to be that fresh and desirable. For $76 dollars we had sub par bar food. I will no longer recommend steamers to anyone. The quality has failed at this restaurant. We have order here several times in the past and quality and portions were excellent. Good bye Steamers and good luck.

Yelp
We recently discovered this gem. Wonderful people, delicious food and great service. Easy parking too. Its a popular place where you might be asked to share the large tables. We loved all of it.

Yelp
I love jacks! Its a tremendous place with an awesome atmosphere. At the bare minimum you will have fun with friends or family and enjoy great food. I highly recommend the crab benny, the blend of crab, egg and bread is just incredible. During the snowing time the vibe is even better as they have heated areas for you to enjoy the outside while eating your awesome food! Service is quick and efficient, I've never waited too long for food!
google avatar

Mateo K.

Yelp
The food is average but not special. The service is good and the people are likable. I REALLY LOVE THEIR MISSION TO HELP That said, I've given the 3 star review because of the added % on the check to pay their employees a "living wage". My job is to pay my tab and tip generously, If the service is awesomely delivered. It's the restaurants job to pay a living wage. Been to eat at jacks about 50 times and sadly... it will not be in my regular rotation due to this.

Yelp
Food was excellent Service by Abby H. Was Outstanding!!Green Chili Sliders Ambiance was Happy!!

Betty C.

Yelp
Service was very good. Polite, personal, timely. Food was tasty but felt the sliders were a poor value. Tater-tot sized meat portion in my sliders. Thats the good - I will never go back due to the HIDDEN 5% fee. Check your receipts. probably a Covid remnant, but didn't see it on the menu and it sure wasn't mentioned by the server. Unethical, deceptive, desperate and downrate lame.

C J.

Yelp
Sunday 1/28. Sure wanted to like this place. Steamboat ski vibes, nice place. The food was less than average. The service was nonexistent. Nice people, just clueless. Breakfast chimichanga was not cooked or hot. Green chili was tasteless. And you better be able to serve yourself if you want something to drink. Do yourself a favor and skip the misery. And you get the bonus additional 5% hidden charge on the gross charge. P.S. The place could use a bath. Check out the stairs going up.

Yelp
Comfortable spot for pub food, drinks, and always friendly staff. My wife and I try to make it to Jacks as often as possible. Share an appetizer, salad, and entree. More than enough food for two, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend the Jacks IPA if you're a beer drinker. One of my faves...
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great dinner last night. Food was simple- delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Thank you! Always a good idea to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks here.

Yelp
Came in for dinner tonight for date night with my husband. We'd never been and wanted to try somewhere new. The interior was well lit, very clean and organized. Everyone was very friendly and approachable. We ordered happy hour drinks, Thursday's are $5 Moscow Mules (your way, with either vodka, whiskey or gin). I got the traditional vodka and it was delicious. We decided to keep the appetizer simple: chips and salsa. I was very impressed by their salsa, very good flavor and the chips were delicious as well. My husband ordered the fish and chips, I ordered the Pueblo Slopper (3 open-faced beef sliders smothered in green chile). Everything was absolutely delicious. Their natural cut fries are thinner than traditional fries and had great flavor and were very crispy. Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name...) was very attentive, informative and friendly. She was able to easily answer any questions we had and always made sure we were squared away and had everything we needed. We will definitely be making this a new go-to spot for happy hour and dinner. Can't wait to try their breakfast, too!
google avatar

Olivia L.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this place since it's not far from home and there isn't many breakfast spots near us. For breakfast, it was very mediocre. The place was cool and I'd definitely come back to try lunch or to have a drink and watch a game. I thought the coffee wasn't great but I'm not a huge coffee person so my opinion might be very different from others. I got the breakfast burrito with the chili on the side because the waitress let me know it was pretty spicy. It was very mediocre. I also got a side of guac but it was too much cilantro for my liking. It was pretty busy while we were there and it took about 25 minutes for us to get our food even with us ordering right away.
google avatar

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Fun spot with great food, friendly staff and great service! Great options for vegetarians and everything is locally sourced. Highly recommend and we will be back!
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
Steamers makes a great cup of coffee for the area. When you stop in, it is pretty hoping but it's worth the wait to get a not too sweet latte. The pumpkin spice I got last week wasn't my favorite but Milky Way never disappoints. I wish they opened a little earlier but with staffing shortages around the state many places open at 8am. They also recently opened AJs across the street which also has a coffee menu. They carry different flavors but I believe it's the same coffee shop.

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Been curious to try this place for a while so we finally did. Service was incredibly slow and when we finally got our food it was terrible! I've had much better at a cheap diner. We were all starving and it was barely edible, our did could barely choke down her macaroni and cheese and they served her applesauce in badly stained plastic packaging. We will definitely not be back.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Omg that was fantastic! I got The Hunter and my boo got the Breakfast Borrito. The food was amazingly fresh and delish! We got a jar of their peach jam that they make in house. They had a bunch of other flavors as well. It's a nice little spot in Arvada. I think it's become one of our favorites! *Been many times since Covid and everything is still awesome! Specials are always a nice go to, bakery is great. Haven't tried the ice cream, but I'm sure it's good. They have indoor dining and everyone is encouraged to stay safe. Check it out! You won't be sorry!

Khalil B.

Yelp
Hostess told us to wait 20 minutes Sent us upstairs didn't take our order but told us we couldn't order until they were ready to change for lunch. Hostess had bad customer service also a very bad attitude. The waiter upstairs didn't even give us any drinks just told us to wait even longer. Am very dissatisfied with this restaurant. Total wait time for this situation was about an hour with no food or drinks. PLEASE HIRE EMPLOYEES WHO CARE ! this was by far the worst place I have been to in a while ! And will not be continuing to eat here
google avatar

Jeanine E.

Yelp
This is our "go to" spot. Jack's is near our home and on the route home from work. We enjoy sitting on the patio and having a drink. As a matter of fact we spent many winter afternoons sitting on their patio after skiing during Covid. The food is good, not phenomenal but good and consistent. We order the wings extra crispy! There is a nice atmosphere and even the patrons all seem laid back and kind. The best part about Jack's is they seem to really care about their employees and the community. They have limited their hours during these difficult months so they can properly care for their employees. I'm glad to see they have hung on and I look forward to them being back, fully staffed, unmasked and thriving in the future!

Yelp
Enjoyed this place. It was like a coffee bar and upscale restaurant had a baby. Food was fancy bar food. Food was good...but it wasn't exceptional. Had the crab cake sliders, plain bun and crab cake...nothing else. Seemed like it was missing something. Overall good experience. Great staff...restaurant cares about its community.

Carrie H.

Yelp
Unfortunately eating there tonight was not a great experience - the server was the best part - the food was awful! The Mahi was rubbery and not even edible in my opinion Come on Arvada can't we get so e good food out this way. Sadly disappointed

A M.

Yelp
Servers are nice. Food sub par. Manager is an asshole. Absolutely the rudest guy I've ever met. Wouldn't even let me tip his server and pay for all my coffee after I just had to politely decline the slop that was served to me. Unfortunate for the servers to have to deal with that. Also, an additional 5% tax is placed on top of the prices. my family and I have been there several times. We always leave disappointed. It just time to give up on the place.

Abby H.

Yelp
Jenni is a rude manager and does not treat people with respect. I don't like this place... but the food is bomb.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
This place moves at a different pace. Once your food is delivered it will become obvious that they're struggling to make payroll and rent. Poor value for your money. Don't plan to return

Brian S.

Yelp
I ordered a cheeseburger with gluten free bread and no side for takeout. The bill was $17.79. When I got home I was less than impressed. Take a look at the pictures and tell me if what they gave me was worth $18. Disappointed to say the least.
google avatar

Jorgi R.

Yelp
So so. Cappuccino was really good and bottomless mimosas on a Saturday morning was fun. The atmosphere was super relaxed and nice too. But the food....meh.... not good and not bad. Negatives.... they wouldn't take reservations, when asked how long our party of eight had to wait...they didn't know. Answer was, "maybe five minutes or maybe an hour", the upstairs gets rather warm and bathrooms are kind of outside the restaurant, and we didn't see any parking lot. Parking is off street.
google avatar

Craig E.

Yelp
Very warm welcoming place. Friendly atmosphere. Delicious food. I love to sit outside.

Brent H.

Yelp
Beware, if they do not like the tip you leave they add to it. Plus they add a 5% right to a living wage fee. Very bad service from the waitress. Went in for a late lunch. They where not busy. Took over 20 minutes to get a soda another 20 minutes to get the food that was just ok. Then asked for a refill on soda and it never came. Asked for the bill and it took 15 minutes to get. Left a tip that was more then the waitress deserved and then found more was added to the tip on credit card statement. I am disputing the charges, I would bet this is a common practice of this business and it is fraud.

Hayan B.

Yelp
There are so many things I like about this restaurant: food staff, good thoughts and good deeds. However last time my husband and I were there for lunch I noticed in very small print that there was an automatic 5% liveable wage fee on the bill. Not sure if it included alcohol or just food items. But there is also an expectation of a tip. Sooo 5% and then another 20% for standard tip (we generally tip 20%)? Sooo effectively all prices are 75% (perhaps a bit more, not sure if the 20% is calculated before the 5%) of the real cost to the customer. I'm sorry to say we will not be returning.
