Jack’s BBQ – Grand Opening Breakfast, Federal Way Today was the grand opening of Jack’s BBQ in Federal Way, and I took my grandson for breakfast. The first thing you notice is the life-size cow on the roof — it’s impossible not to miss! The exterior is spotless and freshly painted, with bright neon window signs adding to the fun Texas vibe. Inside, it’s cozy and welcoming, with red-and-white checkered tablecloths and Texas décor filling the walls, including classic cow horns for that authentic touch. We arrived just minutes after they opened and were customers #3 and #4. The staff was friendly, and the full menu already featured all of Jack’s classics, plus a new breakfast section that’s a real winner. Breakfast includes three BBQ-meat tacos on flour tortillas with eggs, cheese, and potatoes — your choice of brisket, pulled pork, or jalapeño sausage. I ordered the brisket and sausage; my grandson Matt chose sausage too. Both were hearty, smoky, and packed with meat. The sausage had that signature BBQ flavor, sliced perfectly, while the brisket was tender and full of rich smokehouse flavor. Their breakfast is highly recommended — Matt even ate his taco in the car on the way to school! It’s great to finally have a place like this in Federal Way. We’ll definitely be regular customers.

We checked out this new location. Staff was friendly and they were very busy. The ordering process was self serve and not good (you have to order first and then find a seat) and there's not much seating. They should have a sign advising of the process on the door or at the counter. Items were available to order on the computer yet the location didn't have things like lemonade. No fryer at this location either. Every person that came in after us also had the same frustration with the ordering process. They should change their menus (computer/print) to reflect what's actually available at this location. The set up lacks and it is a small location. Food was good but expensive. There was about a 15 minute wait after ordered and we sat down before we got our food which was reasonable. Drinks came out right away. Brisket was tasty. Collard greens were good had stems still on them, potato salad was bland and macaroni was mushy. Portions were great for us and we had leftovers too. We understand this is a new location so we'll give them some grace.

Fantastic experience! The ribs were delicious and the beans were very well seasoned, but the highlight of the night was the cornbread, simply wonderful, definitely my favorite! In addition to the impeccable food, the service was top-notch. The young man who served us was extremely friendly and helpful the whole time. I highly recommend it! 🇧🇷 🤌🏼

Our server was super nice!! My dad really likes jacks bbq but prefers the Algona location as they have a full menu, this locations menu is much smaller. The pulled pork sandwich was a bit smaller than I anticipated but still good. My dad ordered the brisket and loved it. I’ve seen other reviewers complain about the Mac and cheese…. But If you read the menu it’s “queso” Mac and cheese, which is not traditional Mac and cheese. I really liked it. I’ve seen other reviewers complain about the meat being dry. That was not my experience. They don’t cook the meat at this location. It’s brought up from the other location and probably heated up as you order it so that could be why. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to trying the algona location. 😊

Well this is my first time eating here. I ordered two breakfast brisket tacos. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. They have a repeat customer. Great job guys 👍

Convenience BBQ. Sandwich was filling enough but the meat was cold and the coleslaw was bitter and mushy. The condiments are regular BBQ sauce and a spicy jalapeno sauce which is kind of mid. The server was super friendly and the interior is nice and clean.

Jacks is always great. Delicious BBQ and friendly staff. This is the same at all locations. Highly recommend the queso mac and cheese! Best I've had, truly.

Great experience and great bbq! Food, margs, and everything was great. True Bbq! Empty plates and leaving FULL. They sat us like normal and took our order for dining in. Waiter was great!

The best BBQ we have had in a long time. Got the food to go, very promptly and the staff very friendly. We definitely will ad this into our dining out rotation. But next time we will dine in. A bit spendy but very worth it. We had the brisket plate with Texas caviar () and Mac n cheese . So yummy

I finally dropped in to try this place since it's closer to me than the Algona location. I was pleased to find that it's just as good. The brisket was juicy and smokey and the breakfast tacos were the best. Try the tacos, they're awesome. The service was fast and friendly. I'll be back.

Not my first trip to Jacks, but first day at Federal Way store! Delicious, low slow Texas style bbq. Pick your meat - can't go wrong! Today it's the Pork and it's soooo good. Stop by and enjoy it all.

Tried Jacks a second time as I usually do. NGL, this probably is not my spot! I got the trinity plate this time. 2 ribs, brisket, 2 sausage (1 hot, one jalapeño and cheddar) potato salad and Mac N Cheese. Wasn't feeling the ribs or brisket this go round! Brisket was really fattty and on the drier side with the meaty parts. Ribs didn't wow either. Cheddar sausage was good, Mac and cheese was okay but remember if you are ordering based on this review that it's not traditional Mac. It has a little kick bc of the queso cheese! I might try some of the desserts another time!

Hello and Good Morning, I want to share my experience while it's fresh in my mind. I'm southern, all the way around. Southerners like to taste what we're eating. I had the chopped brisket, with Mac and cheese and a side cornbread. The chopped brisket, although being tossed in a sauce, was BLAND. Undersalted, no sauce on the actual sandwich. The Mac was the WORST. Yall need to salt your noodles better, or the cheese béchamel needs more salt... EITHER WAY..TASTE AS YOU COOk!! I ate it because I was craving your food for about 2 months now and I drove by yesterday and saw windows being put in and life in the building so I decided to come for dinner. I'm glad I did... but I need yall to do better. FAMOUS DAVES is out the competition so you guys should be good to go..

My boyfriend and son and I had lunch here today and it was really good. We ordered the picnic . The place is a little bit smaller than the other one the staff was nice and polite and the was clean and the restroom was clean but smaller the price was good we will be back soon

Check your receipt they charge you more then the menu. The price on the board is more then the menu price. You have to prepay before you can sit. If you want more then one drink you have to go pay again and again. . I don't recommend federal way. Go to any other location

Welcome to Federal Way, Jack's! We've been watching and waiting. Just stopped by for a quick lunch and left happy. I had a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad, and he had a brisket sandwich with Texas Caviar. Both were excellent and we like that the sauce is your option. Definitely try the Texas Caviar, made with black-eyed peas and so good. Nice folks, fast service, good bbq...what more could you want?

So grateful to have them in our town and local. Food is phenomenal and the staff have been amazing.

Jack's to Federal Way? Yes please! Can't wait to have this place in our community. Food at all other locations is amazing.
