Jack's Cosmic Dogs

this place was amazing! staff was so helpful. the food we ordered was brought to our table so quickly! it was delicious! even the kids adored it as well. the scenery was epic! 500/10 deff recommend!

This was the BEST part of our weekend! You have to go to jacks cosmic dogs when you’re in folly next. The dogs are delicious, and not too heavy which I feel like is a hard thing to do with a loaded hot dog but they do it very well!! The customer service is hands down amazing. They were more than pleasant and went out of their way to be incredibly kind and personable!! Barne in particular was so nice!!! Can’t wait to come here again!

They use all beef Boars Head hot dogs. I ordered the Galactic Dog, the large hot dog and all the stuff on top was so big I couldn't get it in my mouth. It was a very messy affair trying to eat it. Hand-cut fries were tasty but a little greasy.

Hands down best hot dogs I've ever had. My family and I ate them so fast that I forgot to take a picture - so the pic is of what's left! Great food, great service and very affordable prices.

I'm only in town for a couple of days, and I had to come back for seconds. The service was fast, the food was delicious, and the employees were kind. While the management/ownership has changed since the I moved out of town, the food is still great. (Tho it appears they no longer include a pickle)

Super cute place. The hot dogs were really good and the prices were very reasonable. I was in the mood for a hot dog and this place hit the spot.

This is such a cool place! I would venture to say a must stop if visiting Charleston. I don’t like hot dogs, but I had the sloppy jack! Super tasty but a tad messy. And the fries were the best!! I could have made a meal out them. This was the last place a friend of mine and I ate at before he passed, so Jack’s Cosmic Dogs will always be special to me.

I didn't know what to order. But the people who worked there really helped my friends and I with amazing service. Thank you for the amazing food and the amazing service.

I really wanted to like it. Really! But it was average to below average. The hot dogs tasted reheated and the fries were raw. Since they looked a cooked-brown, I'm guessing they hadn't cleaned the oil. The service was basic and the ambience was meh. If the owners visit So Cal or So NV, they would benefit from a quick visit to Dirt Dog.

Super friendly people. Had stopped in for the hot dogs as we saw they were rated #1. Granted, not a lot of hot dog joints, but very clean and a lot of homemade ingredients. A lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Only negative is 1 bathroom (they're adding more), so a bit of a wait but otherwise, great food!

Wanted to have a few hotdogs before the football game this afternoon. Stopped by Jack's Cosmic Dogs. They have many different specialty dogs sure to please the biggest foodie. Hot dogs with blue cheese, coleslaw and their signature Jacks Cosmic Dogs mustard. To compliment the hotdogs they have fries, coleslaw and beer on tap. The place had an outerspace, laid- back fun vibe. Lots of seating inside and outside. Service was fast and friendly. I had the make your own dog. For $4.95 you can build your own dog with many tasty toppings. I had one with saurkraut, onions and mustard and one with chili, onions and mustard. The hotdogs were bigger than most restaurants serve so keep that in mind. The hotdogs were crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. Good flavor with the chili and saurkraut. I would recommend trying Jacks Cosmic dogs if you like hotdogs or just enjoy a fun, relaxing place to eat.

This would be a good place to take kids. The outside is all fenced in with games. The inside has arcade games in one room and lots of seating. It all very casual. The dogs were ready very quickly after ordering. They were pretty good. The slaw was good and they gave a generous portion of it on each dog. The French fries were good.

The blue cheese coleslaw was one of my favorite things about both of these hotdogs and it was definitely a delicious twist on a normal hotdog. There was quite a bit of outside and inside eating and even a small arcade area that you could play in. It seemed really family friendly and there were quite a few families there when we went.

I was super disappointed with this restaurant. Started with when we placed our order, I got the Galactic Dog, one with Sauerkraut (can't remember the name), and the Jacks "House-Made Rootbeer". I was excited for the root beer, but quickly saw the tap for it was Abita, which is fine, but when the keg went empty after only pouring half of the drink, I became worried. The cashier just handed me a half-empty $4 rootbeer, and wasn't knowledgeable on how to change the keg, and didn't change it. Now on to the food, the dogs are nothing special, you could easily make these at home. Piled high with toppings you almost forget you're eating a hotdog. I wish them luck, but don't think I'll be returning.

I am not a big hot dog person but their atomic dog was really good and I'd recommend. The inside was pretty cool looking and very unique. Service was fast and friendly.

I left Folly beach Sunday late afternoon and needed something to eat. I was craving hotdogs! So I decided to try Jack's Cosmic Dogs. What a fun place. The interior was brightly colored with spaceman hanging from the ceiling and perched by the soda machine. They had an arcade room with a few games and an outdoor seating area. They had a shelf with merchandise like T-shirts with the Jack's Cosmic Dogs Logo. The menu had various specialty hotdogs, French fries and coleslaw or you could make your own hot dog. This establishment also served beer on tap. I ordered the make your own dog. O e had saurkraut, onion and mustard. The others were chili, onions, and mustard. The hotdogs are bigger than grocery store hotdogs. They were crisp on the outside and juicy inside. The bun was steamed and was the same size as the hotdogs. Service was fast and friendly. This is a fun place for families or anyone wanting to eat hotdogs in a playful setting. The make your own hotdogs was $4.95 each. I will be back to try some of the specialty hot dogs. Tried this spot for the first time and loved it! Super casual and great for kids and families. We tried a variety of their hotdogs along with the fries and milkshakes. Everything was awesome - the fries were my favorite! Perfectly cooked and salted. Service was great and all the tables were super clean. Tons of parking! I'll definitely be back.

I ordered a chili dog with cheese, coleslaw, and ketchup with fries. Everything lacked flavor, from the dog to the slaw to the chili. It was very bland and not good. The fries where good. They had plenty of seating, and the service was quick.

Really very good dogs with tons of options for the foodies. Brought the family out and they had a blowup slide for the kids in the new playground out front. Huge free parking lot in the back for groups, and SUV. We were on the way to the beach at Folly and this is a great spot coming or going. Good pricing and the food was freshly made and excellent even for the picky kids. Check out the old school fizzy drinks for a bit of nostalgia and tell the little ones not to miss the astronaut in the ceiling!

The corn dogs are out of this world (lol see what i did there), the staff is so friendly and attentive. 1000% will be back

They couldn't have been nicer to me and my family. It was a super pleasant experience and we will definitely return.

Kids loved the under ten meal, it came with a coin for a soft serve. Please add more sugar to the sweet tea.

Our dinner was amazing! I love going to jack's !! Service is always great and the jack's on James Island is such a cute place to eat!! I recommend having anything with the sweet potato mustard on it it's amazing!!! We also had a chocolate ice cream cone but I ate it before I could get a picture lol

0 stars if I could. $32 for 4 small hotdogs and they 1. Tasted horrible. 2.) got the order wrong. Save your money and thank me later !!

I was thrilled to take my son to Jack's, but I'll be honest: I was a little worried that the new location and new owner might have changed things. And luckily, my concerns were eased the second I walked it: the vibe is still there, my favorites are still there (shout-out to the Atomic Dog!) and they've added some wonderful additions like a kid's combo that includes free soft-serve - complete with a wooden coin to redeem! The staff was wonderful and made the experience pretty special for my nine year old. We will definitely be back!

I have to admit I was a little worried to see 3.5 stars as we headed to Jacks. However, my kids had latched onto it, and I figured I could handle a mediocre meal if it made them happy. Instead, I am happy to report it was delightful! My kids each had a kid's meal, which came with a corndog or hotdog, fries, a drink, and an ice cream (!) for 6.95. I got the smashburger, and my husband got an atomic hotdog. The burger was perfect in its nostalgia. My husband would have liked a spicier dog for "atomic" in the name, but it was delicious if not spicy. The kids loved their meals. The bonus was absolutely the staff. The gentleman taking our order made sure I would like the beer I ordered, and he and another staff member teamed up to provide the perfect ice cream for my kids. Both children want to go back tomorrow. Maybe not tomorrow... but soon!

BEST HOT DOG EVER!!!!!! This place is insane! The blue cheese goes HARD! Everyone should stop by this place if ever given the opportunity. Life changing, inspirational, and out of body experience. Do not visit this place for me, visit it for yourself. Be selfish! Let loose! YOLO!

The restaurant was very clean. You can tell everything is new!! The workers were all very attentive and nice! I did a build your own dog, side of fries and a sweet tea. The total including tax was $16.41. & I then chose to tip 20% for the workers on top of that. That's pretty steep for a hot dog lunch meal. The fries were very burnt, I believe they redrop the fryer basket back down when people order, so they come out hot but very greasy, since it is previously cooked fries.

OMG! The best hot dogs. Build your own or order from menu. Amazing. Fries are great and their drinks whether regular fountain or vintage floats; you are in for a treat. The best service and Patrick is the star of the show. He makes everything work. I live near Summerville but travel to James Island often just for the hot dogs.

Food was absolutely amazing. Customer service was impeccable despite the restaurant being filled with a high school field trip. The cashier on 4/9/24 @12pm was incredibly patient, the cooks were so kind. This place rocks and the people are even better! 10/10 :)

Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm in outer space with this fantastic dawg! I had the Classic Cosmic Dog! Boars hotdog with Blue Cheese Slaw and mustard! It's definitely out of this world! LOVE this place! A M A Z I N G! I'm hooked!!

Best hot dog ever. And French fries! The service is excellent - fast and very friendly. Everything is nice and new and clean. I could eat a Cosmic Dog everyday they are so delicious. The veggie one is great too!!
