"Jack van Praag was a chef before he became a gelato master, working at the likes of Cotto, a revered Cambridge fine dining restaurant eventually forced to close by COVID-19, and at California institution Chez Panisse. But since 2010, he’s kept things frosty, doling out the best ice cream in the city (despite some worthy competition from Sicilian specialists Aromi). The original shop, on Bene’t Street, is the place to go for flavours that range from the beautiful simplicity of dark chocolate and sea salt to boozy ice cream — say, Japanese whisky or Barbados rum — that comes with a shot of its main ingredient for some added pep." - James Hansen

Stopped in for an ice-cream treat after a long day out in Cambridge. We ordered via the QR code and our order was served at the window within 5 minutes. I opted for cherry and chocolate scoops, and the portions were very generous! We sat down to enjoy at a little table, and it was easily the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. 10/10 recommend.

Visited this popular and highly recommended gelato shop where I had to queue for about 5-10 minutes. They offered 5-7 flavors; I tried the double chocolate, which, while enjoyable, felt pretty standard. Next time, I plan to explore some of their more unique offerings to see if they live up to the hype.

We visited this lovely Gelato shop recently! He let us try different flavours which is very sweet of him. All the flavours are surprisingly taste good however I think mine is chocochip Stracciatella and I loved it! They create some really nice gelato flavours which my friends really liked it. If you’re a a Gelato lover, this place is great. :)

I may be a bit biased here as I attribute Jack's Gelato to many happy and good things -- but hey, that's a sign of a good establishment right?! I love the variety of flavours here and make sure to order the 'secret flavours' they have and be surprised by how good they are. The lines can be crazy long so best to come with a friend and chat the long line away, or use the QR code by the service window for a queue jump (you'll have to miss trying flavours inside tho!). Go ahead, try Jack's cos let's be real -- your trip to Cambridge is never complete without it.

Gelato is deli, i tried cocunut & vanilla very nice combo. Price is pretty cheap for 2 scoops and its worth it. No parking, no toilets,no sit in arrangements just take away only. No highchairs for children. Good ice cream . You get vegan options

A modest-looking ice cream parlour in the heart of Cambridge. I was told to visit a very popular gelato place, thus I was assuming it was this place. It wasn’t busy at all and managed to get served quickly. They offered some unique flavours. I was quite surprised they had a coconut & ube offering so I had to try that. I was also exposed to palets bretons for the first time as I didn’t know what it was. After tasting a sample of it, I was quite intrigued. The coconut & ube was nice, but very prominent coconut flavour and I didn’t taste so much of the ube. The palets breton had more of a subtle but yet sweet taste in contrast to the first flavour, a good combo of flavours. I liked the actual cookie pieces inside. Loved the chocolate coated cones But this only leaves me to actually get the actual cookies when I go to my Paris ventures. Total amounted to £6.30. Definitely worth coming back.

Always a fun, interesting flavour on the menu! Creamy, fresh and quick paced, Jack’s is the star of Cambridge!! A must visit, by all means necessary :)) Heads up though, the menu changes every day. But be sure to ask for their secret menu, and to sample the options!
