The 25 Best Restaurants In Fort Lauderdale - Miami - The Infatuation

"Jack’s is a Broward classic that serves burgers that taste like the year 1972, which is when the little burger restaurant opened. Since then, Jack’s has been the place to celebrate youth sports victories, consume aggressively thick milkshakes, and dive headfirst into burger nostalgia. There’s really nothing trendy about these burgers—no smashed patties or secret sauce. It’s just beef, bun, and there’s a little toppings bar in the center of the dining room so you can customize to your liking. The roughly inch-thick patties range from a quarter-pound to a half-pound and are cooked on a flat top that remembers when Nixon was president." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

Good ole fashion hamburger! Simple and super tasty! It’s a landmark in Fort Lauderdale! Definitely a must try, not the best burger I have had but it’s simplicity make it nostalgic! Love the fixings bar and the place/decor is classic. Be sure to try a shake! Super tasty!

Not being corny, I’m having a ratatouille moment like nostalgia will slap you in the face in a good way. Phenomenal burger bringing back memories from 20-25 years. Tears of deliciousness. Drove from Orlando to Broward county.

Google
Classic wood paneled burger spot complete with secret burger sauce and a jukebox in the corner. The burgers are delicious with options from classic cheeseburgers to create your own options with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and peppers. Fries are your standard burger spot fries, but they’re a good vessel for that secret burger sauce. The onion rings were particularly good. Plenty of booth seating throughout, plus some half table seating booths. Good sized parking lot wrapping around the south and west side of the building.

Google
This is definitely the Best burger I’ve ever tasted! I like to eat 1/3 or 1/2 of it completely plain, because the beef tastes so delicious. But the toppings and sauces are fun to try too. And tasty. And no extra charge for the lettuce and tomato. We love this place and keep returning, even though it’s close to an hour away for us. Shakes and fries are too-notch as well.

Google
You thought you've had a great burger before? No, you haven't, come here and really enjoy an old-fashioned burger. You order at the counter, get a number, and your food is brought out to you. Get the 1/2 burger, you won't be disappointed!

Google
No frills, time has stood still. Have prices gone up, has service slipped, of course, its everywhere. Just be nice and support this place. The burgers, fries, shakes still great. Go for the largest burger. Doesn't pay to go small. Enjoy.

Tried this place for the first time and it was great. Cheeseburger w chili cheese fries were pretty good. Will have to stop in again soon.

Oh if Jack was alive today. Normally a great place to eat. Tonight a Saturday night at 630 pm at the Fort Lauderdale store on US1 I ordered my food. When I got it I went to the center area to dress the burgers. To my surprise all the condiments were removed. They were there when I ordered however an employee decided to remove all of them and place them on the counter where you normally pick up your orders. That was not really the issue. I asked the young lady why she did that and where was the ketchup and mustard. Her answer was we put everything away. I then asked her to please bring them back out. She preceded to go in the back and start chatting with the other 4 employees that were also in the back. I then asked the lady in the front remaining if the manager was present. She said Shannon is the manager and she was not present at this time. She also explained that she worked at the other store and was helping the pompano location tonight. She saw what was happening and went in the back to tell the young lady to get the stuff back out, as the 4 employees were laughing and joking in the back. Finally I asked what her name was and was told her name was Angelique and she really didn’t care about getting the stuff out to all the customers waiting to garnish their burgers. I finally got the mustard and ketchup add the four young employees were joking and laughing together in the back as the only one working was the senior person who worked at the other store. I asked what time did the store close I was told 9 or 930 I don’t recall. I then asked Angelique can you wait until we are done to start putting everything away after all it was 630. As the 4 employees stayed in the back chatting and laughing I took pictures of the dining room with all the baskets and food not being cleaned up. As they saw that I was taking pictures one of the cooks came out to clean the tables. I have been going for years and it’s sad that a few non caring employees are hurting the brand. Shannon the manager asked me to meet her today as she wanted to hear in person my experience. I must say that this was a truly great gesture from her. Writing reviews is not just about criticizing it’s about how companies deal with issues as we all have them. Following our discussion I must say that she impressed me in the manner of how she is dealing with this issue. Jacks still remain the best burger in town. Thank you Shannon for all your candor and forthrightness.

Yelp
This is a staple of N. Lauderdale/Pompano Beacb. Jacks has been around since my high school days in the 80s and it's still as good as it was back then. The menu really hasn't changed much. This is greasy spoon burger fare, but it's done right and done consistently well. The service is more perfunctory than friendly and the ambiance is sometimes akin to a cafeteria in high school, it you know what to expect when you open that paper bag. Great burgers simply done well and done right!

Yelp
Was really craving a hamburger and the boyfriend decided to stop by here. Very straight to the point establishment.... A hamburger and spice it up with some of the hamburger necessities. They have a nice simple menu not to get lost in. Milkshake was enjoyed the most, hamburger was too simple to me with flavor. My boyfriends is a simpler eater and he seemed to enjoy his. They have to the left of the cashier a condiments section to top off your burger with some favorite spruces. Would I come back is the question I am still stuck on?! $30 overall but the fries were very plain Jane as well, don't even think they were salted .... Maybe I'll give it another shot ? Probably not unless my boyfriend wants to go

Yelp
It is National Hamburger Month and what better way to celebrates than a visit to his Pompano Beach Institution. Jack Berry was working nights as the maitre d' at Dante's Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale (now the location of a Harley Davidson dealership) when he decided to make a burger place that everyone could afford. The first Jack's opened in Ft. Lauderdale in July of 1972. This, the second location opened in 1973 at south Cypress Road in Pompano. Located close to Dixie Hwy, parking is a breeze around the building and inside is 48-seat pine-paneled dining room complete with jukebox. The resin covered tables are imprinted with Jack's logo. On the walls are old pictures of South Florida that date back to 1908. The restaurant is counter style. You order and pay and then hang on to your receipt because they will call your order for pick up when your food is ready. The menu posted on the wall is brief, burgers, hot dogs, and fries. There are also sandwiches that include grilled roast beef, smoked ham, turkey, and grilled cheese. Burger toppings are an additional charge. The two relishes served came from Jack's mother's recipes. Of course no self respecting burger joint would be complete without shakes and they serve those too along with chocolate chip cookies. Burgers are hand pressed from choice top round and brisket which are cut and ground twice a day in house. The result is a thin patty that comes in half pound, third pound, and junior sizes. For my lunch I ordered the 1/3 pound original cheeseburger ($7.95) and fries ($2.95). Jack Berry stepped away from running the restaurants in 1996. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 82 but 50 years later his burger restaurants are still going strong. Many long time business associates and family members are still running the restaurants today and they cite their quality as the reason new generations of people are still eating here today. The prices may have gone up through the years but you are always guaranteed a juicy burger and crisp fries. One visit to Jack's and it is easy to understand why they have lasted so long.

Yelp
$26, 2 hamburgers, and they Under cocked Would never go back again. I will say the service was good. And the place is clean, but the food wasn't good.

Rhees N.

Yelp
Left the main drag to save some $ and try something classic. But old and nothing desirability about all I'll give it. The jr kids burger was $8.75. The big guy burger was $13 and was just patty and bun. Cheese extra on all. The water was yellow. The fries had zero salt and were just a Sysco foods special. And the place could be classic but was just grungy. Spent $60 with no drinks and three kids. The "large" basket of fries had maybe 20 fries 1.5" long. The juke box was probably the best part.

Yelp
I'm from New Jersey and this place reminded me of a burger place my dad use to take me to all of the time when I was kid. My son and I stop in around 7pm on a Wednesday night starving hungry. We ordered a jr cheeseburger, big Jack's cheeseburger, regular fry, cheese fry, chocolate shake and a strawberry shake. Customer service is great friendly staff. Clean environment. Fast service. My Big Jack's cheeseburger was made incorrectly. However, they where happy to remake and also provided a refunded. Prices are definitely reasonable.

Yelp
These reviews crack me up. What are you people expecting from Jacks ? If you don't like a juicy burger that will make the wettest girl look dry, go elsewhere !! JC it's a greasy spoon burger joint. It delivers on all eight cylinders for what it is ! Fantastic greasy burgers and plain old fries that taste great also. Although you have options to amp em up if you want. For everyone complaining about juicy burgers go back to your spinster or eat McDonald's you don't have a clue. Also I love how the pompano location educates all on how the poinsettia is a tropical plant because they left out out since Xmas. LMAO. LOVE IT !

Yelp
I've heard about this place having amazing burgers for a while, but hadn't visited until yesterday. The burgers were definitely hot and fresh off the grill, but they were kind of bland. Thankfully, you can do it them up with their toppings station. Not bad, not great. Little pricey, but I'll gladly pay a little extra to support local businesses that are worth it :)

Sean S.

Yelp
How can you not love jacks? fresh and tasty burgers, simple menu, friendly staff. Fries are great but seems like they never salt them which is fine just add salt if you want it (my wife likes them as is, I add salt but I do to everything just ask my blood pressure lol).

Joan T.

Yelp
There's not too much to say except YUMMMMMMMM!!!!! The only think I'll say is don't get the large burger, it's HUUUUUUUUGE!!

Yelp
The best hamburgers! You will always come back to Jacks once you have had one of their burgers. No comparison.

Yelp
Old school burger joint fresh Pattie's and crisp hot fries the quality of the burger is unmatched as far as old fashioned place goes. This is a must go to for a old school place

Yelp
It's okay. I am not overly impressed. Simple menu, mediocre food. It is fast and appeals to picky children- simple options.

Yelp
For close to 50 years Jack's Old Fashion Hamburger House has been making some of the tastiest, juiciest, and most tender hamburgers you can buy. The have a secret house blend that they grind fresh daily which is a mix of brisket and what must be some amazing cuts of meet. Lots of the craft burger joints have fancy buns, elaborate toppings, and other trendy go to's. But if you want a delicious "old-fashioned" hamburger, Jack's is the best. Make sure you try the mustard relish. It goes on my burgers, on my fries, and I would imagine just about anything else you might order.

Yelp
Who doesnt LOVE Jacks! Everyone I know does and so do I! I have been eating here for as long as I can remember. I am a native floridian and Jacks is a natives restaurant. Locals only, naww just kidding. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a juicy thin hamburger anytime they like and last night I ate there again. I cant imagine why i hadnt reviewed Jacks. I made my order at the counter, a 1/3 lb cheeseburger, cheese fries and a bargs root beer, Three things i love! The order was made promptly and I grabbed a booth and dug in! I will say this the cheese melted on the fries was swiss and I didnt actually like that but I ate all of the fries anyway. The burger comes naked and I added onions, pickles, mayo mustard and catsup. Delicious! Located on cypress road a little south of atlantic blvd is where this landmark resides. Its always a treat for me to eat at Jacks! IF you want a burger and want a good burger then I suggest you try Jacks and thank me later. You wont be disappointed! I never am and I eat there a few times a year.

Yelp
This adorable hamburger join makes you feel like you've stepped back in time and landed in the 1970's. The idea here is simple. Burgers, fries, and shakes; made simple, made right. Burgers here come in 3 different sizes with or without cheese, and with grilled onions, lettuce or tomatoes being an extra charge. They also have a fixings bar with pickles, relish ect. My favorite though was the mustard relish mixture they had, it really elevated the flavor of the burger. Their milkshakes are quiet tasty as well. Burgers were made with fresh quality meat and a bit on the greasy side. I was a bit surprised by how high the prices were but overall I enjoyed Jack's.

Yelp
Good burgers and fries and sweet tea . Service is quick and easy bathrooms are clean. I will be back

Yelp
The food was amazing. We ordered cheeseburgers and they were so yummy. I definitely recommend this place come try if you won't regret!

Yelp
I stopped by yesterday after a few years - It ain't what it used to be like so many others. I ordered a Big Jack Big Deal and was told they don't offer that. Then ordered 2 Burgers and 2 Fies that came to $27.50. What did I get? Two Cheeseburgers with nothing on them in soggy buns and 2 Fries that were the Frozen Variey and undercooked. NOT what is used to be ther. I would not recommend anymore Larry Reimer captlwr@gmail.com

Yelp
Fantastic burgers, all the way from half pound down. Great environment too. Not a big fry fan, but their cheesy fries are great roo.

Yelp
These burgers taste like McDonalds burgers. Except you can get some pretty big ones here. A very VERY old-fashioned place. Think about it, they tell you this upfront. Anyway, we got the quarter pounders and they were very good I must say. I would definitely come back. I think some trendy milkshakes and some loaded tater tot options would give this place a pretty big word of mouth boost. Maybe some chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets or even investing in a grill rather than griddle could definitely boost things up. Although it was rather empty, it was peaceful and the service was cordial and polite. Might be back again when in the area.

Silas P.

Yelp
I had this today after driving by it several times and noticing that the restaurant always had a decent amount of cars in the parking lot. This ideology led me to think "hey this has to be pretty good!" First things first. There was a kid working in here that had just sat down to eat lunch and when he noticed the line getting long, he left his lunch to come over and take orders at the register. Sadly that was the one bright spot about this place. Its a Five Guys price point and options without the good Five Guys burgers. For a burger, fries, and a drink I paid $17. When your order is ready (Cooked), you have to add your own condiments to your burger and for a $10 burger I shouldn't have to do anything but sit down and eat it. $17 "combo", was it worth it... NOT AT ALL!! Total let down. I almost feel robbed.

Yelp
For the first time in years, I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed that I had a work mate of mine join me at the Pompano location. The reason being, is that the meat was too 'greasy'. There was a time that the lettuce and tomato was neatly in a zip lock bag, and when we would eat the burger the bread didn't disintegrate from the excessive grease. It was as if my burger was crying from embarrassment from how it was prepared for my 'eating'. Lastly, the only reason I didn't give a 'one' star is because the young lady behind the counter smiled when we walked in, and for the most part the staff was friendly towards us. However, to an earlier comment - there weren't that many cars on a Friday evening - which was very weird. I was concerned and now I see why. Please go back to pre-COVID meat quality or whatever you guys did in the past. It was great. But don't charge your patrons more for less. Oh I almost forgot...the kicker! My wife went into the bathroom and when she came out she literally said, "...honey I'm not sure what happened in that restroom, but it smelled as though something was dead or actually died in there..." Dear Pompano location please read some the reviews and actually work on making some serious improvements...Please!

Yelp
Well........I guess we now know why WHATABURGER is so popular. Today I ate my first WATERBURGER at Jacks. So here is the breakdown. And this is coming from a Pompano Beach local since 1957. We had to leave the house for awhile while the real estate agent was showing the home prior to our selling and moving to NC. We are moving to NC for a multitude of reasons, including the fact that every food service facility has to place the last cleanliness inspection on the front door....God forbid we did that in Florida, right? So I told my wife, a Pompano resident since 1973, lets hit Jacks over on Cypress for lunch. We used to go there often as teenagers before they, or their sister business in Ft. Lauderdale, had some sort of rodent problem. But that was years ago, and admittedly Jacks used to make a killer burger. Call it a bucket list stop before we move. So we go in and order. First off......the staff is very nice. No doubt they are underpaid. But the menu prices....Wow! 7.10 for a 1/3 pound burger. An extra .45 cents for tomato and lettuce in a plastic bag......folks, Covid is a droplet infection so stop being so silly.......and only 1 thin slice of tomato of course. 2.75 for a handful of fries. Good fries, really good fries, but 2.75? The amount we received for 2 orders could have come from 1 potato. Actually, I would have expected the plastic platter to have been full of fries with an additional platter for the burger at those prices. Anyway, now we get to the good part. Of my review, not the meal :) The burger.......it was dripping. Not dripping fat, but water. Lots of water. Yes, it was a big 1/3 pound patty, But this thing had to have been frozen, or iced, or whatever, and not cooked on a high enough heat to dissipate the moisture. My wife is an RD and knows just a little bit about this stuff from monitoring hospital cooking. Don.t get me wrong...it was tasty, just very wet. Soggy wet. Bun dripping wet. We also ordered 2 unsweetened ice teas which cost about another 5.50. So for two soggy burgers, two orders of fries, 2 iced down ice teas.......I mean, seriously? How much profit margin do you need from an inexpensive iced tea???....27 and change for all that. Manomanoman! I asked my wife...should we leave a tip? Me being a softy at heart. Her response....are you kidding? I get all the nonsense. Having worked at one of the major AIDS hospitals through the 80's, back when no one gave a dump about the medical staff taking care of these poor folks, or the AIDS patients themselves, back when the President would not even acknowledge AIDS existed, Hell, back before it was even known as AIDS, I understand. With all the lovely Covid coverage and pissing and moaning and whining and Govt. support..........everyone, from distributors on down to workers in every field, sees an opportunity to screw the customers. But if this is the best a small business owner can do, here is my suggestion. Close your doors while things are good. Because at some point the public will wake up, or is it woke up, and do this for you.

Yelp
Jack's is no frills but delicious. Will you feel like you have stepped back in time? Yes! Will you enjoy a wonderful burger? Yes! Everything here is simple and straightforward. Do yourself a favor and get a cheeseburger, fries, AND a shake. I routinely order takeout from here to enjoy after a long day at work or if I've been day drinking watching football at home.

Karen M.

Yelp
Went to Jacks for the first time. It was ok. We got 3 big Jack cheese burgers. They come plain and you step off to the side and add as little or as much ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, relish, jalapeños and something that looked like salsa as your heart desires. I didn't like the fact that the buns are way smaller then the patty. But what ever. It tasted great and was hot and juicy. The chili cheese fries were good. The chocolate shake lacked chocolate. It tasted like plain vanilla ice cream. A little disappointing. I would eat here again but I would skip the dirty vanilla shake next time. Haha
google avatar

Stacey G.

Yelp
Burger was fine, I got mine to-go and it was kind of funny that they pit the tomato and lettuce in a plastic bag instead of on the burger but that makes sure it doesn't get soggy so I appreciated it. The hot dog was also fine, it was the weird grey color on the outside of a dog that's been steamed/boiled to reheat it and then sat for a while but it tasted fine. The strawberry milkshake was disappointing sadly. They put some kind of thin syrup on the top but didn't mix it in so when I was trying it on the way home all I got was vanilla soft serve. I tried mixing it when I got home but, even with some of the ice cream gone, there wasn't enough strawberry flavoring to affect the taste, just made the ice cream really light pink.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Burger and fries were perfect. Make sure you ask for extra cheese on your burger
google avatar

Angie S.

Yelp
Jack's is a no frills, old fashioned burger place that looks like it hasn't been touched since it opened in the 70's. The menu is small with basic burgers, a few sandwiches, fries and cookies for dessert. We ordered a couple burgers (one with bacon) and some cheese fries. Everything was simple but tasty. I can see why my bf was a frequent visitor when he lived in Pompano.

Michael A.

Yelp
Very cool old fashion hamburger place. It looks like you're in the 70s I ordered a cheeseburger and fries which was cooked perfect. I have been hear a few times throughout the years and it's always consistent. Will be back.
google avatar

Jason P.

Yelp
I know the signage has been here for a while but they should drop the pretense and just call this place "We really aren't screwing around when you order a medium rare, freshly ground beef you won't care that we don't accept Apple Pay hamburger house." They have been here forever. The beef is ground here fresh every day. They know how to cook and season a burger properly. That sounds like something we should take for granted but really, in a world with a lot of stupid high concept burger places that buy pre ground meat from commercial suppliers and can never hit desired temperature on a reliable basis this old school place that had been here for decades is a breath of fresh air. Simple half pound griddle cooked fast food style hamburgers that have become increasingly extinct in south Florida. It's still a benchmark, and still excellent. Just go.

Clark W.

Yelp
Ordered from Uber Eats. I literally downloaded Yelp so that I could review this place. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Bland, overcooked burger, disgusting chili, and completely unflavored fries. I would never order/go to Jacks ever again. Also, Uber refused to refund what was a horrible experience. DO NOT EAT HERE
google avatar

Monica A.

Yelp
This our go to place for burgers when we are in Broward county. The burgers are moist and flavorful. They have other sandwiches, but I always get the cheeseburgers because I like them so much.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for more than 30 years. I've been to their sister restaurant on federal highway as well, but not in quite some time. I have to say that I used to love this place. Would drive a distance even to come here when craving a non-fast food burger. And they used to warrant it. We stopped here for a quick bite before food shopping. I'd already had some snacks and hors d'oeuvres at a birthday party. I really wasn't that hungry. I ordered the junior burger. It cones plain unless you want to pay 40 cents more for lettuce and tomato (which comes separately packed on a plastic bag). There's a condiment bar with pickles, mustard, ketchup, relish, etc. along side the counter to doctor your food to taste. I tried their new horseradish sauce mixed with a touch of ketchup. The small burger was about the size of a McDonald's burger -- as thin too -- but the meat was dry and tasteless. Honestly I think the cheapie McD one is better. What a disappointment! And the fact that it's almost $5 adds insult to injury. Sorry... Jacks just ain't what it used to be.
google avatar

Harold J.

Yelp
I have been going to Jack's since 1999 with my son and the hamburgers are consistently delicious. There's something about having a Jack's, fries, and soda and sitting in this unassuming place that's good for the soul. I'm now going back with my son and my grandson, Jack's is a family tradition!
google avatar

Dylan H.

Yelp
Ate here while in town and it's a little pricey for a burger but boy was it good. Cool atmosphere and friendly people. I'd eat here again if I'm in town again.

Yelp
Disgusted, disgusting! I went on Monday sat at a table and started eating my burger and fries... it was served in a brown paper bag because I had called it in. The fries were in a bag and the burger in a small bakery box...the usual. All of a sudden there was a black ANT crawling in my burger. I was cool about it. Brought it up to the front and the associate was friendly but weird about it. She took the burger and said we don't do that and then she said I'll remake it and give you your money back...I said ok. Very quickly she gave me new food and then I said what about the refund (again, she offered) so she asked for my receipt even though I had just a paid her she needed my customer number off of it. She still hasn't processed the return so I asked again and she again asked me my number so I reminded her that I had just given her my receipt. She walked back and forth and then somehow figured out my number it made no sense. She gave my my $13.00 back and I wasn't even going to write a review...but I went back on Friday the same week 8/2020 and again right as I started eating a black ant appeared walking across my arm. I threw out my food and left. I didn't inform anyone, I've been going here for 40 years but I'm not ok with that happening twice! I'm thinking they have ants where they keep the paper goods in the kitchen because again my food wS served in a box and bag not a red tray. Sorry Jack. Please clean up your act.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Been here 4 times last 2 weeks my only complaint is they hate giving you pickles/ mustard and most of the girls upfront are really rude and it shows they don't enjoy working there.

Trudy R.

Yelp
Don't know what happened, either new owners or they can't get good cooks but the food and presentation has changed for the worse. We have been sticking with the place even though the prices have been creeping up, but now the quality has changed drastically. Would rather pay for food prepared the way it was than to have it change in quality and quantity in the worst way. New counter girls aren't very helpful when you point out the differences. They just shrug their shoulders at you.

Yelp
Fries eh. burgers eh. Saving grace was that the cheese was melted and the takeout box is convenient. Bacon from a McGriddle basically.

Yelp
It's a Pompano staple. Been here forever. Burgers are still made fresh daily as they were 20 years ago when I started coming. Cashiers come and go. Most of staff is helpful. Would prefer chocolate icecream in my shake instead of chocolate flavored syrup. Try some other options on menu.

Yelp
Jack's Old Fashion Hamburger House keeps it simple and to the point in terms of both food and service. As you enter, you'll notice the surroundings live up to its name - a retro looking diner from the 1920s. I arrived around lunch and surprisingly it wasn't that busy so I was first in line. The cashier was friendly and ordering only took a few minutes. I kept it simple, ordering a burger, fries and a drink. The food took less than five minutes to arrive. They have a pickup counter where they call out your order number, though I suppose they could bring it to your table if you'd like. The food is very basic --- and that's definitely a good thing. You won't have to worry about any crazy toppings, sauces, undercooked or overcooked meat, or stale bread. There are toppings in the condiment section, such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, etc. The burger is cooked at a solid medium and arrives within five minutes of ordering. The fries are lightly fried and cut at medium thickness. Drinks are fairly limited with your typical selection of soda and tea. Taste-wise, the food is pretty solid and really nothing to complain about. The venue is very clean and spacious. There are multiple booth style and regular tables to choose from. Due to this, I would consider this place to be ideal for large groups of hungry friends. If you're looking for quality burgers during a relaxing lunch, consider adding this over to your list!

Yelp
By far the best burger I have ever had. My parents have been bringing me to this place since I was a little girl, their classic cheeseburger is epic! They grind their own fresh meat so that your food is never frozen and always fresh made to order! The burger is so soft and juicy! I like the jacks cheeseburger well done with extra cheese! Mayo ketchup and their mustard relish are the perfect condiments for the burger. I drive all the way from Boca to come here!! I won't ever eat a burger from anywhere else. Delicious classic American burgers and hot dogs....fast service always clean and you have to check out their beautiful jukebox!

Yelp
UNSANITARY My fries looked like they had been dropped on the floor and nawed-on by a rat. They were also Luke warm like they had been sitting out.. This was the first time I had a problem at this restaurant. It was rather unsanitary and I noticed one of the teenie bopper cooks looking at me and smirking when I first sat down and started eating. When I looked up he looked away. Maybe they should have considered this review before they decided to be cute. If you are the manager there and want to have a talk with me I will be happy to give you a piece of my mind.

Yelp
My burger was okay. They forgot my lettuce and tomato so it was a little bland to me. I had chili cheese fries too that were pretty good. I've eaten at the other jack's location and I like that one better.

Yelp
This place isn't what it used to be... absolutely hot garbage. Staff is horrible. The food had absolutely no seasoning on it what so ever. It felt like I was eating prison food I do not recommend.

Yelp
Let me say this, nothing beats jacks. I've been going to jacks ever since I was little, and I'm 19 now? That's at least 13 years, give or take a few. It will always be my favorite burger spot. The beef is so lean, so fresh, and the burgers are so simple, but so amazing. Not just the burgers though, the fries are top notch too, and the vanilla milkshakes are a killer. Haven't tried anything else on the menu because I love their burgers, fries, and vanilla milkshakes so much that I can't get anything else while I'm there. Not to mention, I drive 45 minutes to come here, and it's well worth the drive. Keep it up the amazing food, jacks. You have a life-long fan with me!

Yelp
Jacks is a great spot for authentic homemade burgers! I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. Last night I came around 9pm, 30 minutes before closing. The lobby was empty and our food was ready quickly. The decor is old school and really takes you back to the simpler times. The staff is always friendly and helpful and ready to assist. The food comes out hot and my favorite is the topping bar where you make the burger a customer creation. Overall this is my local go to spot for an old school burger without the flair of the new spots. Just traditional stuff here and mmmmm so good. I give Jacks 5 stars because they truly deserve it!
