Such a peaceful and well-maintained trail — Jackson County Greenway is a local favorite for good reason! Whether you're walking, jogging, biking, or just enjoying a slow stroll with the family, this greenway offers a relaxing experience surrounded by nature. The path is wide and mostly shaded, with beautiful views of the creek running alongside. It’s clean, safe, and family-friendly — I even saw a few deer along the way! There are benches to sit and rest, and the trail is stroller- and bike-friendly, too. Perfect for early morning walks or late afternoon bike rides. Great spot to clear your mind and get a little fresh air. 🌞🌿 Definitely one of the gems in Jackson County!

This is a beautiful 2 mile trail that runs along the river. It’s paved, but also offers a dirt path for part of trek. There a porta-potty at one end and benches & picnic trails along the way.

I absolutely loved walking this beautiful trail! To begin the walk, you cross over a big iron bridge. It was a mile walk to the end where there is a port-a-potty, if you need it. Then you walk a mile back to the beginning. I liked the posts that marked 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 miles, so you knew how far you went. The trail is mostly shaded, and in the middle of the hot sunny day, it wasn’t too hot. I could see the creek for the majority of my hike. Next time I plan to bring a water bottle. They allow dogs on a leash on the trail.

A beautiful park, less than 5 minutes away from my college apartment. There’s a nice bridge you can walk over, to a path that is about a mile long. Some educational signs about the area, including where “Cullowhee” comes from and a local hero, are spread around the park. Taking a leisurely walk down the path and back takes us about an hour. The river is beautiful, and sometimes, wildlife can be seen. The path is shaded nicely by the trees. A great place to walk and jog.

Really enjoyed this roadside park. My wife was able to take a stroll on the two mile round trip trail while I took a few cast 🎣 into the flowing waters just below the arched 🌉. I think she got more out of the park than I got from the river? No the less a very enjoyable greenway. Come see for yourself. Bring a lunch there are tables and 🚻 plus handicap ♿ parking and paved foot trail. If this review helped you please select LIKE. May GOD bless you.

We were visiting my wife’s alma maters and discovered this beautiful bridge in the area. I highly recommend a walk through if you get a chance.

Great level path that is wide and easy. Great for all ages. It is wheel chair accessable and they do a good job of keeping path clean. Awesome for dog walking and little kids. Kid friendly bike park is awesome. The bike park is about a half mile down the trail and includes sitting pavilion and small exercise park.
