Unprofessional and Inappropriate Behavior
I visited Jackson Diner in Jackson, NJ with my family, and we had an incredibly uncomfortable experience. My mother politely asked for a side of bacon with her meal. The waitress, Kimberly, responded with, “Would you like it on the left or right side?” My mom, confused, said “the left,” to which Kimberly replied, “It has to be on the right side, not wrong side.”
This felt like an unnecessary and inappropriate political reference — completely out of place in a diner setting. We were shocked. It created a very awkward atmosphere and left a bad impression on all of us.
This kind of behavior from staff is unprofessional and unacceptable. A diner should be a welcoming place — not one where political innuendos are aimed at customers.
We won’t be returning.
