The food is amazing, and the people are kind and accommodating. We wanted to throw a small birthday celebration for a vegan co-worker, and when it turned out that they didn't have a vegan cake, they offered to make a custom vegan cake for us. I am absolutely blown away not only by their ability to pull off such a request with so little notice, but also by the skill of their pastry chef. I had my doubts about vegan cake, but it may have been the best cake I've had in years! I cannot thank all the amazing employees at Jackson Hall enough for what they did for us today💓. As far as the general ambiance and food choices, there are a great variety of options. I saw someone complaining about the price, so I think that should be addressed. Obviously some options are a bit more expensive than others, but they really do have something for everyone. What you are paying for here is quality. You can taste that the food is all fresh and made with care. All the food has a very home-made taste, and the fact that the side options at charcoal keep rotating makes it so much fun to keep going back to see what's new. If you are on a budget charcoal is very reasonable. The chicken is always flavorful and I cannot get enough of the sides. They also give you the option to get a bunch of sides if you don't want meat. The other places are slightly more costly, but the foods are much more unique and tastefully made. The bowls look like works of art! I could ramble on all day about how wonderful everything is, so I will stop myself here. But please, thank all the people who work there when you go. They really are such a fantastic group.
Update: If you haven't had a cappuccino made by Chris yet, you need to go right now. I've only ever caught him on Thursday mornings, but it is well worth the effort. That man makes foam that you could bounce a dime off of. By far the best cappuccino I've ever had.
