Where to Eat, Stay, and Play in Jackson Hole

"Hotel Jackson, also in the heart of town, is a modern boutique option with a decidedly Western aesthetic, though it's also a draw for its mediterranean restaurant, FIGS."

I haven't reviewed This Place because I kind of have had Mixed Feelings. The Location is Great. Love the Lake... Had to jump in & grab My Dog when She didn't realize it was a lake & tried to walk on it lol Great Spot tho & Right smack dab in Town.... Centrally Located for sure. My Partner& I were Restoring the Schools Gym so Stayed a few Times Here at Jackson Inn as well as Paul's until We just stayed rest of time in Our 5th Wheel near the School. The Owners are Great and Yea They run & Clean the Place Themselves. They live Close But have Lives so aren't There 27/7. I believe They try to be around More tho when They have Guest. This was right at the start of Covid & it was hitting all around Hard. The Rooms were Clean with No creepy crawlies. Loved the Peace & Quiet!! Nobody really bothered Us and for the most Part the Stay was Pleasant & Uneventful. Until it wasn't. Unfortunately the Owners Son was living in a room in another building from Ours. I had seen His Dog even pet it a few times before staying while We were scouting the Place & eating Lunch by the Lake. We loved the Place & Decided We'd stay a few Nights. Now the owners Sons Dog was just as sweet as can be as She ran all around & was super social. Sense I didn't have My Dog with Me this was fine. My Girl is not okay with People or Animals getting close to Me at all. So knowing the Other Dog was around I was extra cautious keeping Piper on a leash or tie & close to Me. I had assumed that seeing My Dog out that the Owner would do the same or at the very least keep their Dog away from the area We was in by the Lake. No such luck tho! Son pulled up with car full of buddies and next thing I know His Dog is flying at Us and My Dog is beefing up... On total Guard/protective Mode. They tangle a second But I am able to manage it and His Dog runs back to Him. Him & His Friends are just standing there gawking So At this I Pop off and say He needs to control His dog maybe use a leash if He can't. That He shouldn't let His Dog run around like that when Other Dogs are around cause 1 or Both could get Hurt as well as anybody near Them. No matter how unintentional it all may start out. Well He yells back some vulgar things while grabbing Himself... His Friends Chiming in. I charged up to Them not backing Down while He acted arrogant and completely unapologetic even tho He was completely in the Wrong. It left such a bad taste in My Mouth that I started packing up right away ready to leave that place and The Owners pulled up Super Apologetic. I actually felt bad for Them. They didn't say This But from what I understand They couldn't take Him living with Them anymore so tried letting Him live at the Inn. But sadly that wasn't working out all that Great.... The Guy is a Real Class Act!! Now We did stay There a time or two more But Never even saw that Clown again which I am Grateful for!! I hope He has sense straightened up or gotten outta there & stopped being such a Leach to that poor Couple who work way to hard to have an ungrateful selfish Punk with misplaced entitlement among Other things Ruine it. So Yeah not really a bad place and they also have a few spots with Power for RVs & that to park overnight. Facing the Lake too which is Nice. All in All I'd Go Back & I Recommend it.

I feel like even the owners didn't want to stay here. We had a hard time finding them during normal hours. We couldn't even check out. Full sized towels and toilet paper were hard to find as well. We chose this place for the pool, but there is no pool. There is a nice fishing spot and hopefully when the other buildings are complete this will be a nice place. We had a party of 12 staying in three rooms. Another big party in the hotel had the same issues.

Other people have posted some comments here and I would like to shed some light. The owner is kind and the rooms are well maintained. The showers are hot, the water is clean, and the location is close to all the necessities. If ever in town I will be back :)

The Inn is a bit worn and the flood damage had things limited during our stay but the rooms were clean and comfortable and safe. The management could not have been more welcoming. They offered warm hospitality and an eagerness to solve problems. We will be back.

The 1st time we stayed in one of the renovated rooms which was extremely nice. 2 weeks later we were in town with our motor home and used an r/v hook up sites. It was level and very nice. The owner was extremely accommodating and the price was unbelievable. When in town again we will do business with them.

Under new management. Renovating as I write this review. Room is clean. Bed is soft. No bugs. Water is clean and clear. Warm room and feels relatively safe. Couldn't ask for much more. Was originally hesitant to come but I made no mistake in coming to this Inn.

Renovation in progress! New Carpet! New Tile! Great Water Pressure! We are so pleased to see that the new Owners are taking steps to make this a very nice place to stay in Jackson. Some rooms now complete and more to be done soon.

Used banquet room for family get together dining area & bathroom was really clean. Dining area was bigger than expected. There was around 30 of us and room left over. It was really more affordable than we thought it would be.

Yelp
This is totally remodeled I was told. It's absolutely disgusting! Bathroom is gross. I'm afraid of getting bed bugs.

Yelp
This place was a nightmare. I need rooms to move residents from a property I manage while we were having some problems with electrical. When I was helping a resident to her room, and the door opened I could have cried. It was filthy. There were bugs everywhere, the bathroom was mildewed, and it just flat out stunk. Another resident was sent to 5 different rooms before she finally gave up and came back to the building. 1st they put her in someone else's room, and the room they moved her to the toilet was full of poop that had never been cleaned, and it just kept going from there. The pool was not open, it was green. They have people living in some of the units, and during that time one of the ladies was forced to deal with a barrage of sexual harassment from them. DO NOT STAY HERE. Go to the Campton Parkyway Inn, Its spotless!

Yelp
I was a bit skeptical about staying here after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. It was very clean and newly remodeled. The beds we're comfortable and the room was quiet. I'm giving it a 3 because the drive-by appeal is lacking: gravel parking lot and run-down surroundings. Also, there isn't necessarily someone on the premises but there is a sign to "call this number" if no one is around. But, when I called, they immediately picked up. I was at a conference at the Robinson Center so this was super convenient. Request Building 2 because Bldg. 1 has not yet been updated.

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The first clue should have been that they took cash only, no card. When we pulled up outside our room there was a filthy blanket just laying there in the parking lot, and empty bathtubs too. From the outside we could tell that the curtains were hanging off the rod. Inside, my husband tried to turn on the light. Nothing happened. Then he tried to set some luggage the table and it tipped over. Next, I used the bathroom and the toilet did not flush. At this point we were exhausted, it was late, and we didn't realize there was an alternative place to stay. We got out asap this morning. What a hole.

Yelp
Do not stay here what a flea trap literally! Price is cheap and if I were not working here I would not stay in this place! Dirty little rooms cheap beds feet hang off the end and I'm only 5"11 smells like an old antique store inside! Pool is green maid service just takes out the trash feels like a crack stop as cars come in and out all the time! I would drive to Hazard KY! Nothing in the town to do either restaurants are at a minimum at best hours posted open yet they are closed! Felt like Bates Motel!

Yelp
I honestly am not fully sure how to rate the Jackson Inn as it was an experience not quite like any other I have ever had. My wife and I came in late and did not have a reservation and the other motel in town was full so we came to the Jackson Inn. The price was reasonable at $66 for a room with two double beds, but more than Paul's motel. While booking my room (at about 11PM) a woman came in and when the clerk asked if he could help she said, "Got ketchup?" He went into the back and came out with about 15 packets of ketchup like you see at fast food restaurants, she took it an left and then I proceeded to get my room. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke, but the room smelled fresh and was clean. The deadbolt on the door was almost impossible to lock and difficult to unlock, but the doorknob itself automatically locked to the outside, which did result in my getting locked out of the room once. The bedspread was very soft and the bed was fairly comfortable. I did wake up with a backache, but that is not terribly uncommon and occurs any time I am not on the perfect mattress (sadly I do not know my perfect mattress and even my bed at home can give me backaches sometimes, but I digress.) The towels were clean, but obviously rather old and had become similar to sandpaper that I used when I worked as a carpenter. Soap was provided, but not shampoo. There was free coffee, but that was the extent of "breakfast." Overall it was not a bad experience and I cannot compare it to Paul's motel because I have never stayed there, but it was not a great experience either. It was just rather average overall.
