Atlanta’s signature skyline lookout, made famous by film and countless sunsets. Recommended by Discover Atlanta and chronicled by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it’s a simple, free stop with a big payoff—especially at golden hour.
This bridge is a much of Atlanta then anything I can think of . Homage to MLK is within walking distance. Parks are all around the place. It’s just a wonderful spot. It’s difficult to get the skyline of Atlanta because of all the foliage you know the city in the forest yeah we like that.

Pretty easy to get to. This is where the opening scene of The Walking Dead is filmed. Lovely view of the skyline from here. You can get nice light trail photos at night with long exposures.

If you want an iconic shot of the ATL, this is one of the best possible choices!
There’s just enough space to park on the north side of the overpass but put on your emergency blinkers!
Expect some other people to be there trying to take photos, keep it friendly and respectful of the neighborhood 👍.

That famous spot from The Walking Dead when Rick starts meandering around with the horse (RIP horse).
Lots of graffiti and trash and judging by the smell, it’s a local gem for a #1 🤢

If you're a walking dead fan, this is the bridge from the cover of season 1. The poster was edited for the show

A beautiful view of Midtown at sunset..You can reach here from the Peachtree Center Station ..It is 1.2 mile easy walk..Gets very windy ..get there early as the sun sets behind the tall buildings and get dark pretty quick.Picture taken on 11/20/2024

One of best places to see the Atlanta Skyline! Views are best around dusk or sunset. There is a parking lot near by that offers free parking. Stick around till after sunset and bring your tripod and wideangle lens to capture the beautiful light trails from the vehicles.

I wanted to see the sunset but it wasn’t the best spot imo. The area was run down and I didn’t feel completely safe there alone. The sidewalk was trashed. I don’t think I’d come back or take visitors here to show it off.
