Excellent customer service from beginning to end. The food is great and what you’d expect at a tavern style restaurant. The portions are generous so come hungry or be prepared to share! I recommend the wings. I enjoyed the salad but I realized I may have just wanted a steak dinner instead but that was on me. I only ordered water but there were plenty of beverage options from NA to beer, wine, and cocktails.

Went on a Monday for lunch. It was amazing! Staff was fantastic and food even better! Great drink menu. Got the French Dip and Buffalo Mac

Cannot say enough good things about the food and the SERVICE! Amazing fries. Service was absolutely top notch. In town for family girls weekend and they treated us so well. Perfect place to start our adventure.

Google
Really interesting menu.... Was all very good. First time to give it a try on a work trip. Staff were all great and attentive. Our group ended up all trying different salads. Would recommend!

There was over an hour wait for a table so we sat at the bar. Jack was tending bar and provided exceptional service, giving us some great recommendations. Ended up with Ahi Tuna nachos and the Reuben with sweet potato fries. The Reuben was top notch, great flavor and loaded with Pastrami. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. When you visit, don't discount sitting at the bar for great service. Also have to give a shout out to the manager Joe who gave credit for their success to his team. Will visit again if we make it back to the area.

We arrive around 4pm New Year’s Eve and we were the only table there at that time. There were some folks at the bar. After 5pm is when the restaurant started filling out. We had some starters which were excellent! I personally would not get the bruschetta starter again but it was not bad. The wings were out of this world amazing, crispy, flavorful and just so delicious. It was my first time trying mussels and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the firecracker martini and it was great! For our entrees, we had the California club, the Cobblestone salad and the Power Caesar I think it’s called, can’t remember. Service was great, will be back! One last thing - we got the kids Mac and cheese and it was flavorless, my son did not eat it. We got him fries instead. Not a deal breaker!!

The vibe here was great. Good lighting, great decoration. Good chatter throughout the restaurant. Immediately inspired good conversation and I appreciate that a lot. Server was quick to bring us drinks and take orders. Appetizers we got the charcuterie and the bruschetta. Bruschetta was ok, there was a lot of balsamic and it made it all uniformly sweet. It was pretty one dimensional. You couldn’t taste the tomato, basil or mozzarella. The charcuterie was very upsetting actually. Ratios were way out of wack. 4 pieces of toast, 2 jams, mustard, apples (red delicious, questionable choice), grapes, Nuts, ham and salami. The salami was great. That was the only thing on the tray that was great. Artichoke hearts out of a can and canned pears!!! That was upsetting for the price. High school cafeteria pears! Entrees were pretty good, I tried everyone’s. Fried chicken (entree and sandwich), was very good. Not sure if they brined the chicken, it wasn’t very salty, but the breading and fry job was fantastic. Very crispy. The chicken was moist. Toppings on the chicken sandwich were nice and light and the bun held up well under the grease. Sweet potato fries were VERY sweet, but I thought it went with the chicken well. Mashed potatoes were fine, they were good because mashed potatoes are good but nothing to write home about. Beef stroganoff is not my favorite but I thought it was fine here. The chicken Parmesan was really nice, tomatoes and sauce were very flavorful, that was probably my favorite dish on the table. Overall, I’d return here. It was a great place to meet up and tell stories and hang out. It would be a great place to take your family. The food, for the most part, is pretty good. Location is great and it was fun to be downtown.

Google
food was great! VERY slow service - had to track down our waiter or ask someone else & got our check before one of our drinks came.. wish i got his name because I doubt the whole staff is poor.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner with friends on my last night in town. We ate on the patio and it was perfect weather with perfect service. We shared a platter of wings to start and I moved on to a Nebraska burger with a side of poutine for my main. The burger was huge and a bit under seasoned, but cooked a perfect medium. The Dogfish Head was served cold and the poutine was a generous portion.

Yelp
We had an exceptionally nice lunch. Service was friendly and attentive, restaurant was relatively quiet for mid afternoon. We enjoyed the charcuterie plate was which was really generous for two people. Pretty outdoor seating area works well during good weather. Metered Street parking is available but can be a little tight during busy times. Difficult these days to find a restaurant open during the day for a meal and Jackson Street Tavern is definitely a place to stop! We also had the ribeye, which was a very good meal that included mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and shoestring onion rings. Can you say : to go box?! Overall, a nice visit to an old haunt. A little bit of sticker shock for the price of the meal for two people, but I think that's just the general direction of things these days. Full bar service available as well as many N/A options. Highly recommend the Jackson Street Tavern !

Yelp
Arrived solo for lunch. Seated quickly with menu and ice water. I ordered the chicken club sandwich with fries. Sandwich was tasty but a mess to eat by hand, so knife and fork were employed. Fries were above average but not crisp. $20 with tax and tip.

Yelp
One of the best burgers I have had in Omaha, if not the best. The burger felt fresh and had the perfect combination of ingredients. The place fits perfectly the ambiance of the old market. Service was nice and quick for the amount of people they had. I would love to come back and try the other plates which looked really good. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped into Jackson Street Tavern after a day downtown, and we were so happy at the discovery! The whole ambiance was very homey and casual, with an exposed ceiling, wood panel walls, black and white photos, and industrial looking hanging lights. The staff were also really kind and chill and gave great recommendations. And the laid-back/cool vibe also translated to the food. Very hearty, big portions, and super tasty! We started with a Caesar Salad and the Poutine, and both were excellent. The Caesar was well dressed and large (we shared it), and the Poutine was also a big portion and had lots of toppings of a brown demi-glace gravy, cheese curds, and chives. Our entrees were also amazing: -My husband got the Jammin Salmon, which was a good size filet, topped with a jerk rub, pineapple mango salsa, and a side of jasmine rice - which sounds like a lot of different components, but all the flavors worked so well together! -I got the Gnocchi Saltimbocca (I'm a huge Gnocchi fan), and this dish was AWESOME. Proschiutto wrapped pieces of chicken, delicious béchamel sauce, and of course the pillowy gnocchi. It reminded me of a fancy version of the Chicken and Gnocchi from Jimi D's. It was so simiar that I Googled and found out the two are related restaurants! Love it. We were stuffed at this point, but had to top off our meal with something sweet, and we picked the Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding. We are both bread pudding fans, and this was one of the best we've had! Not too sweet in terms of the bread pudding portion, but topped with caramel, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream - so definitely a nice dessert, but not overly sweet! If you're in the downtown area and looking for a nice local spot with great food at a nice price, give Jackson Street Tavern a try - you will definitely find something to fall in love with!

Yelp
I am ashamed I have not updated this review until now because Jackson Street Tavern is one of my husband and I's go-tos. Our favorites are: JST Steak Sandwich, Tavern Wings, Crispy chicken, California club, spinach and artichoke dip!!!!! We love their lunch and dinner so much. I am always willing to try something new because what we have had is incredible. The service here is always amazing and it is a nice atmosphere. We really love Jackson Street Tavern! I'm so glad we tried it again despite the brunch not being our favorite.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with some friends. It was my first time here. It was in the Blackstone area and the restaurant had a cool vibe. We came on a night after the dinner rush so it was not busy at all. We were seated immediately. Our waiter Zane came to our table and once he learned it was our first time, he gave us recommendations on the menu. I chose the spicy margarita which was excellent. It had a good amount of spice and I could also taste the alcohol. For my meal I got the ahi tuna, it was cooked perfectly. Zane checked on us multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. This place had a laid back atmosphere, great staff and food and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Downtown Omaha has a ton of choices, and each one has a little something different. Whether you want casual, bar & grille, or maybe a little upscale, you'll have good luck at Jackson Street Tavern. The menu alone has great range, even if that range isn't all that deep. But from Bolognese through seafood to the predictable steak specialities, there is something for most anyone. In a hurry, I chose some mac 'n cheese with a bleu cheese/chicken kicker and it was really solid. Creamy macaroni, great cheesy sauce, and coupled with a protein makes for an excellent plate. My lovely wife selected the shrimp tacos (and paired that unconventionally with killer sweet potato fries) and the tacos got it done. It's Nebraska, so the shrimp probably isn't as local as beef or pork options, but they were good all the same. Park on the street, if you can, and reserve ahead if you have the time. The service is friendly and attentive, pricing is a smidge high but aligned with the area, and the space is minimally decorated but still very tasteful. If the garage door is open to the street in nicer weather, then the space spills on to the patio to extend the vibe. Great space, good food, and a great spot.

Yelp
Great food and generous portions! The pork tenderloin sandwich is absolutely delicious. So flavorful and cooked perfectly. The draft beer selection is pretty decent. The vibe inside is cool, but the sidewalk dining is even better. This is the place to dine if you are looking for a chillax dining experience. I loved it!

Sandy D.

Yelp
This was absolutely amazing! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Food was amazing and Jack our server was the best!! Go!! Thanks guys - if we are ever in Omaha, we will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The best restaurant on our trip to Omaha. We had the Nebraska burger and the club sandwich. The best club sandwich I've had in awhile (served on a hamburger bun). The fries were great along with the spin dip.

Sara G.

Yelp
Great service! A little bit slow but just nice friendly server. Ambiance is calm and nice. Food delicious
google avatar

Yelp
The food at Jackson Street Tavern is always, ALWAYS a hit for us!! I had the gnocchi and wow, some of the best gnocchi i've ever had! Service is always great too, super helpful and attentive. I'm glad we got there a little early in the evening, because on a Sunday night, the place filled up pretty quickly. Even if there was a wait, the food would be well worth the wait!
google avatar

Leah L.

Yelp
Friendly service...wish I had known they had hand cut friends! My husband loved his rib, and my chicken sandwich was very delicious!
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Such a great restaurant downtown. Service was fast and friendly. Love the wooden ambiance and very big space. Food was big portions and very filling! Gnocchi was a unique taste with the Parmesan mustard but was tasty! Nebraska burger had all the topping and meat was perfectly cooked.

Yelp
Jackson street tavern is a popular choice for tourists staying in the old market area and I thought the food was pretty solid. The service at our table was really good. Our server was really friendly and personable, the hosts however were pretty antisocial and whispered to each other awkwardly. The staff here is mostly teenagers/20 year olds. The ambiance is cute, it's like a regular pub with some larger tables to sit at. There is a lot of room in here for groups. The food was great. I had the cavatappi with scallops crab and shrimp and I was pretty shocked at how good the seafood was considering Omaha is nowhere near the ocean. The dish was a good portion and the sauce was more complex than just a regular canned alfredo which is kinda what I expected. So it was good slightly above expectations and I was pleased with what I ate. Overall I think they have plenty of options for most people and the food was good so I'd be back!

Yelp
Love their ahi tuna nachos. The waiter was polite and fast. And love the look of the old Omaha brick, style and setup. Of the restaurant

Yelp
This place is AMAZING and we received excellent service by Zen. I ordered the Berkshire Pork Osso Bucco and the meat fell right off the bone. The flavor is making my mouth salivate writing this review. I highly recommend... Zen recommended this "All Day Long" and he was right. We had the hot wings for appetizers and super delicious. Inside is super nice. Great place to take your significant other for date night. Has the romantic feel with the casual look. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
We stopped in for drinks and apps before a show at the Steelhouse. My wife loved her strawtini and our friend liked her P&P. My old fashioned was very meh. Drink prices are very reasonable. We got the spinach artichoke dip, shrimp scampi, and taquitos. They were all very good. You get 3 of the taquitos of good size, filling had good flavor. Scampi was solid. Spinach artichoke was good but the chips were a little stale. Was better with the bread that comes with the scampi. Service was friendly, a little slow but we weren't in a hurry so wasn't a big deal to us. Another table did have to ask to be served. It was kinda strange there was no mood music or any sound over the speakers but more of a personal thing. Definitely would go back.
google avatar

Marcus G.

Yelp
We came here for a few bites and beers and everything was great. Even the lady who was helping us was super friendly and recommended some other spots that we can visit afterwards. We got chicken wings here and they were awesome. I would definitely come back and the vibe here seems really cool.
google avatar

Shaunielle M.

Yelp
Food was excellent, perfect temperature, and fresh! My expectations were achieved on my first visit so I definitely will be back again! Menu has a nice variety of choices and I already know what I'm going to try on my next visit!
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I could give a real review, but unfortunately we were never given a chance to order anything so I can't. Things looked promising at first with water and cutlery delivered quickly to our table. It went downhill from there. At least two wait staff approached all the tables next to ours to serve food, refill drinks, take orders, and drop off bills. In spite of this close proximity, not one of them ever looked in our direction. A table of 5 who was seated after us had their food while we were still waiting to order. After 15 minutes without any interaction, we walked out. Maybe we'll try again when they aren't busy.
google avatar

Derek Y.

Yelp
Strong 4 star. Family run and really nice staff. Many of the food choices on the menu sounded good, but staff descriptions made them sound great! Quick and easy to grab dinner. Missed 5 stars due to slight under seasoning of food, but would come back for sure.

Paige J.

Yelp
Really nice ambiance. my bf said he really likes the chicken sandwich and will be returning

Yelp
Amazing place in downtown area. This is elevated bar food at its finest. Great ambiance with its high ceilings and open garage door in the warmer days. The food is awesome. My favorite? The drunken Toni which every now and then I dream about. The service is ok. There are a couple of great waiters and others can be a bit dismissive but overall I've always had a good experience. If you want to try something different, JST is where it's at!
google avatar

Yelp
What a great find !! It's downtown Omaha and easy to get to. Has an outside dining area but we went inside to the bar. Not real busy but plenty of people to add to the ambiance of a "happy place". Joe was our Bartender.... Very nice young man. Attentive but not overbearing. After a short conversation, Joe suggested a beer for me... zip-line. ... I said Yes !! It was good. Not super hungry so we ordered the Nebraska Burger to split. It was a mixture of short rib, chuck, & brisket with cheese, grilled onions and bacon. It was full of flavor !! We ordered sweet potato fries on the side. This is a BIG yes for y'all to stop in. The menu has a pretty wide selection of food from which to choose.

Yelp
This place was highly disappointing. Came here today, on a Sunday afternoon. Was seated promptly. The server asked if we wanted drinks, we asked if we were able to order from the dinner menu, it was 1:25pm and our server said we had to wait until 2. We ordered the poke nachos and the rest of my party placed their order while I waited until 2 to place mine. The poke nachos were underwhelming. The chips were stale. Our server rarely came to check up on us or anything. I looked at the tables around us and they received their orders fairly quickly. They had a male server who seemed attentive, while we had a female server, I believe her name was Lendsey based on the receipt. I looked at the tables around and they had food from the dinner menu.. so why did our server say we had to wait until 2 if we wanted the dinner food? My party received their food about 25-30 mins after placing it and then finally I ordered my pasta. The pasta was okay, needed more salt. Wish I got it without the cheese cause I'm not a fan. This place really put me in a bad mood. I should honestly probably give it 1 star. Seeing the other Yelp elites rating this place 5 stars made me hopeful, but I would not recommend coming here. I'm visiting from California and every other restaurant I went to during my visit was a positive one except this one. Please do better.
google avatar

Li'Son H.

Yelp
Such an amazing little tavern. I went here with a girl friend and everything was amazing. The male server was very friendly! The food was colorful, and the drinks were perfectly crafted. I can't wait to come back to try more food!

Liem H.

Yelp
Prompt service and great food. The steak sandwich and taquito appetizer were fantastic.

Hong T.

Yelp
Ok Omaha, Nebraska! I see you! From the food, to service, all the way down to the ambience, was awesome! The bourbon strip was cooked to perfection and the flavor was oooooh soooo good. Not one crumb was left behind. Next up the cobblestone salad! My friend said it was the best salad she's had this whole cross country trip. Service was attentive and fast. The ambiance was cute, and industrial looking. Definitely will be back!
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
I can sum this one up quickly. The absolute best burger I have ever tasted - period. The Reuben is one of the best Reuben's as well. Both came with fries, which were a bit soggy, but flavorful. Ambiance is nothing to write home about - basic bar scene, but the food is not bar food. Service by Sam was great. He recommended the Nebraska burger over a couple of other sandwich choices for lunch. He was spot on. He told me the Nebraska burger actually finished second in Omaha as the best burger. I told him politics must've been involved! The meat is a local blend of short rib, chuck, and brisket. Fantastic flavor and so juicy. It is topped with thick bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli. Order like they make it - don't screw with the formula!
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
I'm trying to be harder on giving out 5's but man Jackson Street Tavern delivered on my salad today. It's was amazing ! I had the cobblestone. The grilled filet on it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Really enjoyed it. Wife got the beef taquitos. They looked really good. She said she loved them. Our server was so sweet and friendly. Great lunch spot for sure!
google avatar

Robb S.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. I had the bistro steak and unfortunately I didn't think ahead before ordering the poutine fries prior to ordering my steak so I was left with a giant plate full of fries. The poutine fries were tastey but could have used more bacon/cheese. The steak was cooked how I asked and tasted great. Service was pretty decent and we sat quickly even though it seemed very busy.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
I got the buttermilk fried chicken, came with mashed potato's and green beans. HOLY shit. Comes with so much food and it is unrealistically good. One of my fav spots
google avatar

KW ..

Yelp
If your in the area and looking for wing... this is your place. Might be in the top five best wings I have had. Great service.
google avatar

Jessy T.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch during a business trip and had the Nebraska burger. Quite possibly one of the best burgers. The staff was very friendly too. If I ever pass through again I will definitely stop on for that burger!
google avatar

Penny W.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Service was great! I tried the French dip while my hubs tried the cheeseburger.

Yelp
JST has become one of our go-to spots. We love their food and those dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives.

Yelp
I hosted a holiday gathering of 30 people in my home and wanted no-fuss, delicious food. JACKSON STREET TAVERN catered my small event with: - Spinach artichoke dip & chips - Chili Buffalo tavern wings - Bruschetta crustini (not pictured) - Ahi tuna nachos (not pictured) - Gnocchi Saltimbocca - Prosciutto wrapped chicken with house gnocchi The food was AMAZING and my guests are still talking about it! The portions were good sized and the price was reasonable for the great quality food. The manager, Ross, was easy to work with and he was flexible in serving my nachos and chips separately so they didn't get soggy before my guests arrived. THANK YOU, JACKSON STREET TAVERN, FOR BEING A PART OF MY HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES!

Carole B.

Yelp
In general, my dining experience here has been positive. Today I ordered a half order of the tuna nachos. Normally, a full is great and a really pleasant share. A half order WAS a great solo dish. No more. Cost wise, it's 68% of the full. Presentation/quantity, quality- wise, perhaps a third. An appetizer plate, overloaded so it spills onto the table. It was gross actually. I had to ask for a dinner plate to put underneath.

Kevin H.

Yelp
My friends, this is a good spot, be of the many reasons that Omaha has such a good rep as a cool town with good people and good food. Stopped in after the busy weekday lunch period was very and had an amazing burger and fries with a spicy margarita - it's a winning combination. The staff is attentive and friendly and competent and the food is excellent, and fast. The restaurant itself is stylish and cool with a good vibe and unexpectedly accessible for a downtown location. Cannot complain!! Check it out, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Jack G.

Yelp
It was a good restaurant. I had a spicy seafood linguine dish which was awesome and the poutine was delicious. Food came relatively fast, and it was a cozy tavern.
google avatar

Stacy M.

Yelp
Beautiful spot to people watch and enjoy great selections of salads, sandwiches and classic bar food on the 3 season patio area. Indoors a homey, warm bar with great service and fun convo with bartenders. An Old Market must
google avatar

Megan H.

Yelp
We visited Jackson Street Tavern while we were in Omaha for spring break. I was not disappointed! We had three poutine, and French dip sandwich. The food was delicious and was cooked perfectly. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted, laid back but buzzing with people chatting and enjoying their meals. I would certainly revisit when I am back in Omaha.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! Highly recommend. The wait from the time we ordered to the time the food hit the table was impressive! Next trip to Omaha we will definitely be stopping back in.
google avatar

Sandy B.

Yelp
The name of this restaurant doesn't do them justice. There is culinary genius going on in there. We went in on a Sunday around 1600. We were greeted and sat immediately. There were a handful of people scattered through out. The waitresses greeted us with waters. She was friendly and attentive. Checked back routinely. But everything that came out looked wonderful. You can tell when they bring a new entree out. Because they are always met with some version of "Holy Cow". I had the coconut crusted chicken salad. I could eat this every day. It was my only meal of the day, and all I needed! Everything was fresh. It had a mango salsa, avocado and a strawberry vinaigrette. Everything paired so well and every bite was bursting with flavor. Hubs had the gnocchi with prosciutto wrapped chicken. It was excellent as well. We have to come back until we can try everything on the menu.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
Have been twice: once for brunch and once for dinner. Both times, the food was great. Service was great. Pretty casual with a varied crowd. It's best when it's nice out and they open the big doors!

Kristy M.

Yelp
Super good food. Jackson St Mac Excellent service. The employee with the dark curly hair was
