Jacksonville has a wonderful farmers market. Ther have a lot of beautiful fruits and veggies. Great vendors. And a nice sense of community. My last visit was when we first moved to west Jacksonville. I was like this place is a diamond in the rough. Pet friendly so bring your puppy. And come on down to beaver street.

Google
Visited the market today. We had not been to Jacksonville Farmers Market in years. We got there really early, so we were able to move around pretty easily. I love all of the different fruit and vegetables choices. The prices are why you should visit. Much lower than at the supermarket. We picked up some green peppers, onions, oranges, lemons and ginger. The lady that sells the honey was not there yet. There is a fish market and an area where they sell plants. There are restrooms available. On site there is an air conditioned restaurant. The menu looked good. I would recommend going on a weekday if you’re able. The weekends are crowded, and parking can be limited.

Google
Been coming here for a long time! Great place for little ones to look at fruit and help you pick it out:) Went this past Sunday to the market. Wasn’t very crowded at all. There is a very sweet gentleman in the very back of the market that has some of THE BEST collard greens and sweet potatoes you will ever eat! He cuts & bags greens which is awesome! And definitely go see Dave & his wife in the front side of the market for some of the coolest species of plants & AMAZINGLY delicious juices in his “chill bar.” And only $3 bucks!!! How can you beat that!🍓🍊🍉 oh yes! And don’t forget the cake lady in the front. Her slices of cake are heavenly! The Key Lime & Walnut black velvet are worth every calorie! lol! And if you’re indecisive… she gives free samples.😋yum! Enjoy:))

Apart from the wonderful produce, there is a plant sanctuary that is amazing. With a natural juice bar using pasta straws!! 🥹🥹 I had a soursop/blackberry hibiscus drink and it legit was the best thing I could ask for on a hot day and only $3 gorgeous plants, carnivorous ones too!!!! 😱

Google
I have to say during the week day I'm not to enthusiastic about being here. I have 2 vendors I love getting items from. I'm kind of disappointed I have to make a drive to another state just to get some yellow meat watermelon but the prices will be worth the drive since the market won't have any for another 3 weeks. I will continue to show up for my 2 vendors which they're good about telling me about the quality of the fruits and veggies. Also I will be back to see who the herbal vendor is. I got pretty excited when I seen the listing so I hope I find some awesome herbs with them as well.

Google
Had the best time visiting the farmers market today for the first time 🙂 it had this really awesome plant place that reminded me of a little tropical paradise 🙂 they also had drinks there made from fresh fruits and lemonade 😀 I got the blackberry hibiscus and my son and his dad got a pink guava lemonade 😀 both were delicious and only $3 a drink ! They had lots of fresh produce and so much more !! I loved it! We will be returning ☺️

Google
Great market! Wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetable along with a lot of other local vendors.

Google
We go for the fruits and vegetables. Always a good selection and prices are reasonable. It can be hit or miss sometimes but usually it's a hit. Absolutely make sure you stop by the plant guy there right up toward the front. He's got some cool beverages to refresh your experience and some of the coolest plants that I've ever seen. They're well cared for healthy and vibrant. He is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Support small business where you can they're the backbone of America.

Yelp
Pretty awesome family friendly event. A lot of food options and food is good . Loved all choices.

Dawnie B.

Yelp
Small. All the vendors are selling the same stuff. All produce basically. Walked through in 5 minutes.

Yelp
This farmers market was such a hidden gem! There's 3 overall areas, one shed in the front of the markets, a middle area with all the fresh produce, and then a greenery/chill bar area to the right side of the market. My friend and I tried the freshly made juice in the chill bar area, and it was delicious. There are so many fruit flavored options and each of them was perfectly made fresh and flavorful. The juice maker also adds a pasta straw for biodegradable usage:) The people were friendly and it's such a peaceful way to spend a Saturday morning. Would come back!!

Yelp
This smoked mullet was a good deal at $8.88. I bought it at the Seafood Shack by the Tracks located in the Farmer's Market. It's an enclosed air-conditioned little building. I also bought a whole white snapper and they gutted and descaled it for me for $6.

Yelp
Hidden in the Beaver's Street farmer's market is a quaint and adorable oasis simply know as The Green Spot. After buying some fresh produce in the market, head over to the corner of the market for a maze through cooling greenery to reach fresh juice mocktails. The prices are a steal, the flavor combos are plenty and the garden is speckled with a variety of well-priced plants to home for all you plant parents out there.

Lady P.

Yelp
I had a great experience here! Very friendly and such beautiful, fresh produce! I appreciate great service.

Yelp
The employees were really friendly and helpful, which made my first visit great. They had a big selection of fruits and vegetables, including some I'd never heard of before. If you're around Jacksonville, you should definitely go there.

Mary C.

Yelp
Lots of very nice vendors and different items for sale. I liked the variety it offered, and the shade as it was a very hot day.
google avatar

Kendra H.

Yelp
Diverse selection of produce, cute plant shop with fun lemonade flavors, and other miscellaneous shops to browse. Dog friendly and a great spot to pick up produce.
google avatar

Chanelle G.

Yelp
I love coming to the Jax Farmers Market on weekends for my weekly produce. Everything is fresh and I can easily pick out what I need. Love that they have a seafood market and desserts table. Plants are available for purchase as well in a separate area called The Green Spot. They also have a nice little juice bar in the plant area, which I thoroughly enjoy. The fresh juices are so delicious and it's a nice little zen area. Great service as well.
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
Nice selection of fruit and veggies but most are not fresh. Check the fruits and veggies before purchasing.

Snow T.

Yelp
As like all the reviews have mentioned. They're not local farmers but vendors selling fruits & vegetables from unknown locations. I was able to find great deals on veggies & fruit.
google avatar

Ynna S.

Yelp
I always buy my fresh fruit and vegetables there! Amazing pricing for organic produce!

Yelp
They've not changed much since I started shopping here when I was 18 years old(1978). The fruit and vegetables are almost always fresh & that's hard to do! I bought a small watermelon from the back of the market on the East side from an Hispanic man for only $3.00! He was so nice. He offered to carry it to my car, but I had brought a heavy duty reusable bag from home. I bought from the back which I believe was one of the nicest booth out there. I believe they were called "Miller's". I bought cut up greens($5.00), a few onions and bell peppers along with a box of sweet potatoes. They're in the back middle section. I also bought some huge strawberries, some bananas and a few other items from a nice booth. It's been a while since I've been here, I need to put them on my regular rotation schedule for at least a monthly visit. I also grew a little weak and hungry, so in between my shopping-I stopped off and had lunch in the grill called Blume's. I will do a separate review on my visit there. They used to have the Farmers Market Restaurant and I do miss them. But, Blume's lunch was just enough to get some emergency nourishment. I would like to try there BBQ next time. There is parking in the front, not recommended. The parking in the back is much better, so you can drop off said groceries as your bag becomes too heavy. I recommend this market to anyone! The booth closest to the front parking was selling the small watermelons for $5.00. I bought mine in the back for $3.00. Check around and ask for the prices. It pays to do some comparison on prices before buying.

Yelp
It was a very large place lots of fruit and veggies, I was looking for sour sap but not in season Had a pink pineapple which is rear to find

kris ..

Yelp
You need to know how to pick out fresh fruits and vegetables before you attempt to buy here. If you know then you can get stuff at a decent price and good quality. Lots of vendors to choose from. Open everyday which is great.

Yelp
Today was such a beautiful day, so why not visit the farmers market located on West Beaver Street. With reasonable price and a variety of items, you're sure to leave with some amazing goodies. With that being said, it's important to be sure to wash your haul down with vinegar and water or you may have some unfriendly guest in your house (fruit flies). I got a ton of product for under $50 dollars including two beautiful bromelias. I'm in love with this plant and super happy to get a reasonable prince for these plants. The produce was also very nice. I was able to secure some great fresh produce and fruit. I also learned the technique for picking a ripe pineapple by one of the sellers. I'm sure I'll be back many more time. It's a nice change from the traditional grocery stores.

Yelp
Don't heed the tourists giving one star reviews because they showed up to the Farmers Market at 4:00pm on a Saturday expecting it to be fully stocked and picture perfect after sitting in the Florida heat for nine hours. Show up when they open, know how to check your fruits, and you will have a fantastic experience. It is mostly locally-grown produce with a few small-scale businesses also selling their crops. The fruit is ripe and plentiful, and the veggies are fresh and crisp. The timing is crucial, as most of the best produce will already be gone by 10:00am.

Yelp
I must confess that I am a fan a farmer's markets. I like that this one is open continuously, as well. Good prices from the vendors and for the most part they are friendly. I would definitely give them a recommendation. It is a bit out of the way though.
google avatar

Yelp
Mimi's stand is always the place we purchase our produce from at this farmers market. There is such a variety and her prices are always reasonable. If I'm purchasing a lot of produce, sometimes Mimi will toss in a few extras!
google avatar

Chan P.

Yelp
Love this neighborhood farmers market! Every stall owner that we encountered were friendly and inviting. Two were Cambodian own/operate. Across the way, offer wholesale items! There's also a seafood shop located there. It's a one stop shop!

Yelp
In A Nutshell: -The Jacksonville Farmers Market is a very low-end farmer's market. -I wish I could give it higher than a 2 star rating, but if you shopped there you can see why. -The fruits/veggies are not very fresh, they mostly very soft and too ripe. -Don't be surprised to see flies on the produce either. -The customer service from some of the stalls are poor, some staff need to take a shower (see the photo). Overall, I've experienced so many better farmer's markets around the world, even most developing countries have better farmer's markets than this one.
google avatar

Melody C.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way through town on a Wednesday at about 11 AM... not too many stalls open everyone was kind but prices were a bit high. I ended up not buying anything.

April Jeanine S.

Yelp
They have PinkGlow Pineaples, so sweet, so delicious!!! $8 each, well worth the price
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
It's really kind of hit or miss here depending on the time of year. Sometimes the place is packed with vendors and the prices are great. Other times there are only a few stalls setup. There are things you can find here that I haven't found other places in Jacksonville. From what I can tell little of it is grown/made by the seller the way I would think of a farmers market.
google avatar

Ashley U.

Yelp
Who doesn't love fresh fruits and veggies. I started coming here again after years and I'm happy I did. The price and quality speak for themselves, there also a seafood market on the other side. There is a nice selection of produce available and everyone is friendly.

Yelp
I have been looking for a farmers market for a little bit since I came to Jacksonville. I had seen this one and thought I'd give it a try so that I could bring some goodies back to NY with me. Fresh oranges are always a hit. The place was quite for Thursday, which in these Covid days is fine with me. We found some good deals. We had to pucks through the produce, which is common. What I didn't like about the pace was all of the bugs and flies; they were everywhere. I should not be surprised, but there was more that I expected. I would definitely stop in again and see what else I can find, especially as the different crops come into season.

Yelp
I LOVE THE FARMERS MARKET. I can't push it enough, like seriously. Stop, I repeat STOP buying overpriced produce from Publix! Everything is so fresh and beautiful, they ALWAYS have perfect avocados. They have herbs and bulk garlic and other spices too. Examples of prices: $2 for 5 zucchini, $5 for 3 baskets- lemons, limes, Chinese eggplants, $5 for 6 avocados!! Don't even get me started on the cutest little cafe nestled in the corner of the market. The owner grows hydroponic lettuce and other veggies, peppers, and flowers! He is so sweet and has actually taught my friends and I so much! The cafe serves made to order juice drinks and lemonades, and the owner often jokes with us to BYOB as he plans to build a tiki bar in the back. He had poblano chicken empanadas the last time I was there and they tasted like I died and went to heaven. I'll let the pictures and videos speak for themselves on this one. Look out for marshmallow the bunny and his chicken friends!
google avatar

Yelp
I come here regularly for ripe spotted bananas (over 2 lbs) for $1. I hate buying green ones at the store. They also have a really cool plant store to the right of the building that also serves tea drinks. Sometimes I buy my veggies but usually I just past. I only spend about 15 minutes here. I recommend visiting if you live in Riverside/Murray Hill.

Yelp
First visit today. What a find! Prices for veggies are incredibly low. Had intended to eat at the Market Grill but it was closed on Sunday. Luckily the 2BQ BBQ was there to take up the hungry shopper slack. Delicious hot dogs and sausage dogs. Kenny Atkins ( the owner) says they will be there every Sunday from now on and his prices for dogs, drinks and chips are very reasonable. Since moving to Florida less than a year ago we have been horrified by the produce prices in the chain grocery stores. This market is open every day until 6 pm ( I think). And the access from Interstate 95 is incredibly easy and quick. We will be making it a weekly visit from now on!

Yelp
Awesome place. Went late a couple of Saturdays ago and it was still going strong. If you are a fan of high quality fruits and veggies you have to make a visit. Dozens of vendors, all friendly and ready to make a deal. Had great conversations with all the vendors. Bought everything from peaches to dog soap. If you are into cooking fresh foods or just like fresh fruit to munch on, give this place a try.
google avatar

Quy M.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a farmer's market? This place has been around since my Pre-K days and I'm sure it's been around a lot longer than that. There's no fee to enter and parking is plentiful. On a good day you might catch the popcorn / pork rind truck and it doesn't et any fresher. Most of the stalls have similar items, pricing may vary slightly. Bring an umbrella if it's raining, although most of the stalls are covered the walking portion is not covered very well. There's also a restaurant on-site that I have never been into.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice experience would come back again most definitely everybody was very polite and they got what I wait for exam
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for veggies and tropical fruit. I wish there were more booths but it was limited. For a Saturday I was surprised that there weren't more vendors. I highly recommend Larry's stand who was selling peach cobbler and collards. That was worth the trip
google avatar

Leah A.

Yelp
I'm in total FRUIT HEAVEN! This is still the best place to go for amazing FRESH & IN SEASON fruits and veggies! This time around I took home some yummy fresh Lychee for $5/lb. I also picked up two bowls of sweet, giant organic blueberries ($8), two cantalopes ($1 each), a small watermelon ($2), a bunch of string beans ($2), a bunch of ripe bananas ($1 for 8), a flat of yellow mangos ($10), a basket of large juicy tomatoes ($2), a large basket of grapester tomatoes ($2), two bags of giant carrots ($1 each), two gorgeous pineapples ($1.50 each), a bag of small onions ($2), and, the best part, three larger variety mangoes & six sweet potatoes given to me for FREE! Go any time in the week. The parking is super easy and the vendors are so friendly and generous. I particularly like to visit Larry's booth. He has some amazing kale, but unfortunately he sold out on Saturday and I went on Sunday. No worries. He said he would have more on Tuesday. Another great vendor is Ladda. She is a sweet Thai lady who sells a variety of great produce at super cheap prices! Overall, all of the vendors here give great customer service and are really flexible. They let you sample what they have and will usually work with you on their prices. Did I mention they have fresh young coconut here that is cut on the spot by a man with a machete for only $3? How great is that? Love this place so much and happy I live really close! Go get your fruit (and veggies) on! :)

Yelp
Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes.....You Naaaaame it!! I love this Farmers Market. It's open early and often (Daily). It's also local and inexpensive compared to shopping for produce in your neighborhood grocery store. You may have to search around a bit to find exactly what you need, but you'll usually find what you're looking for. They also have a restaurant on the premises which serves up some nice breakfast and lunch. It's a true staple in the community.. Stay Yelping my friends!

Yelp
Jacksonville's farmers market is a great place to find a variety of fruits, vegetables (some whole and some pre-cut), legumes, and random spices. When in Jacksonville, my daughter and I love shopping at this establishment. The people are friendly and you are bound to find most fresh fruits and vegetables that you may need and probably a few things you never knew that you wanted. My daughter is a fan of sugar cane ,which you can find whole or pilled for easier cutting later. The ambiance is fine for a farmers market. Overall it was clean with no signs of infestation and such. I would definitely recommend this establishment for your whole food needs.

Donald Z.

Yelp
Produce is plentiful and very fresh. Lots of different meats to choose from. Lots of shoppers but lines move fast thru the registers. Love going here for fresh items!
google avatar

Kerry C.

Yelp
I love this farmer's market. It's a bit smaller from when it was located (literally) next door, but you can still find just about anything here. Lots of excellent deals can be found - but you should always walk around once before buying since the great tomato deal you find at the first place may not be as good of a deal as the tomato at the 3rd or 5th stall, etc. There are usually a couple of bakeries here with fresh baked goodies, and you can find things like eggs and preserves along side of more exotic fruits and veggies. Many offer free samples of their fruit, to try before you buy. Always best to come first thing in the morning. I've heard the little restaurant here is good, but I haven't had a chance to try it. Sometimes there are food carts here as well.
google avatar

Yelp
I really wanted to be able to give this place a good review, but alas, I can't. The fruit and veggie venders are ok but Esau's farmer market grill ruined the whole experience. The customer service was BEYOND HORRIFIC! It didn't even matter how the food tasted because from the moment you walk in you're greeted with sheer rudeness. The 2 stars are for the vendors only. I know they work hard. But Essi's? The negativity at this place was such that I'll never go back there again. Unfortunate. Can not recommend Essi's

Yelp
After reading the article in the paper we decided to take a ride from Melbourne to Jacksonville to see the iconic Jacksonville Farmers Market so highly reviewed. We arrived after 3 hours to find very little but produce that was about ready to be disposed of. I found No produce farmers their only foreigners selling boxed produce much of which had no visual appeal , touting store stickers and barcodes many showing signs of decay. The vendors were all foreign difficult to converse with ...no less buy from. Bottom line it was a very disappointing morning. Please do not waste your time seeking out this market. Prices are not equal with quality. Alas I cannot recommend this disgusting market. Sorry. Linda Fodge

Yelp
The food in the area where the plants are is outstanding. The lemonade she makes with hibiscus or guava is so wonderful. Her empanadas are made with roasted chicken and Pablano peppers. The shrimp burritos are so tasty!! She makes her own sauces that are a tastebud lap dance for free. The cakes and pastries are fresh and make you happy. Quite happy. I look forward to trying all the seasonal lemonades as well as anything else this lovely lady creates.
google avatar

Debbie F.

Yelp
I finally was in the area and stopped for my first time. The location has promise but I saw several vendors with vegetable waste which caused flies and such. Some vendors had clean sites that were set up with care and those are the ones I choose to buy from. It was a slower day so I will try again in a busier day.
google avatar

Allie A.

Yelp
Still one of my favorites, but wanted to update: There is an ATM machine at the front of the market, in case you have a vendor (and there are quite a few) that take cash only. (And of course there is a fee, but better than heading home empty handed. There is also a cute little place to buy some plants as well. From flowers, to herbs and veggies!
google avatar

Ed V.

Yelp
I was impressed with the fact this is a legit Farmers Market. They had some really good deals on local fruits and veggies. We got several bags of veggies to take back to Charleston. There is several vendors selling all kinds of fruit and veggies. Many have similar items but several had some one offs so it was worth checking them all out to see what each has in store for you. We also were excited to get some fruit trees from the vendor in the back of the Market. We got 6 various Fruit trees, 2 flower bushes and a mini pepper plant for an amazing deal. We haggled a bit and they were willing to negotiate. We have already planted them since arriving home in Charleston and they are doing great. I recommend arriving an hour after opening so as to get the good deals but also to give the vendors some time to be set up fully. I will definitely return the next time in JAX for the good deals and unique offerings!!!
google avatar

Ashleigh L.

Yelp
Man I love this place I get all of my produce every week from here at last me a whole week spending a fraction of the cost of what I would at a local grocery store! I HAVE EFFECTIVELY cut my grocery bill for a family of 4 down at least $60 a week! The guy in the front had pandulce this week!

C R.

Yelp
Disappointed the vendors offered little produce from actual local farmers. Much of the produce appeared to have been purchased from wholesalers or big box warehouse club stores.

Yelp
I visited the Jacksonville Farmers market for the first time on the sunshiny selfcare Sunday!! What a treat! Fresh fruit and veggies for a great price. I even got a felt wrapped handmade soap! Ony way home to make strawberry shortcake and pasta salad...yummmm
