Jackworth Ginger Beer

Jackworth Ginger Beer, PA’s only ginger beer brewery, crafts crisp, sharp, and boldly flavored ginger beer. We got a few mixed drinks including the classic Moscow mule. The inside is really cool and staff are great. Jackworth has a cozy atmosphere so you can hang out here and have drinks for hours.

Jackworth Ginger Beer is a singular experience. This is not the flat, flavorless soda water others peddle as ginger beer. Jackworth Ginger Beer is spicy, tasty, and refreshing. It's a cut above, and deserves all the praise it gets. At the bar, they'll mix it up in cocktails (all good) or you can take it to-go in cans to impress your friends at your next cocktail party.

Come for the spicy ginger beer, or grab a beer and a fernet. The alcoholic ginger beer has a bit of a strange aftertaste, and the cocktails are just okay. The crew, though, is solid — friendly and down-to-earth.

Jackworth is a great spot for the whole crew due it's selection of both alcoholic and NA options. Most offerings feature their ginger beer (which is amazing), but you can get some other really great drinks as well! It's a laid back spot with really cool, and very nice people working the bar! My favorite is the spicy ginger beer, but drinker beware, it is in fact very spicy! It packs the most ginger spice that I've ever had and I love it!

Amazing. Simply amazing. I was a fan of ginger and a fan of alcohol. But this is not a mere mix of the two. The product is unique and peerless. This establishment could easily be mistaken for a super chic, pretentious high artisan sign of gentrification, but no. There is an old-fashioned appeal, authentic yet forward-thinking and modern. Tyler, who was tending bar, explained that they use classical techniques in their process, maintaining an authentic approach. All done in house. The drinks are exceptional. Nothing is as crisp and refreshing as that OG JGB. The ginger flavor is strong but perfectly balanced with the mild sweetness of the beverage. The 0 proof original seems markedly sweeter than the OG JGB, offering a distinct flavor profile. The spicy 0 proof is bomb, delivering a satisfying kick. I only wish I could enjoy a hot summer day with a spicy alcoholic JGB, but it doesn’t exist… yet. The bar itself has an inviting vibe. It’s been the greatest bar/tavern/pub I’ve patronized in recent memory. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a genuine charm that sets it apart from other places. If you couldn’t tell, I’m super impressed and generally am critical to a point of fault. However, I don’t have a bad thing to say at all. I will be back.

We had an amazing experience at your establishment. The service was excellent and the bartender was so friendly. The cocktails were so delicious and I enjoyed the three types of Ginger beer that is made. We had the Dark and Stormy and Texas Medicine. I saw you feature on PTL and could not wait to try it. Fun, unusual drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, made with real ginger. Very tasty and exotic. Very nice friendly bartenders too, and good prices.

So happy I got to finally give jackworth a try! A friend and I grabbed pizza and then headed to Jackworth. I tried a cocktail and a canned drink. My friend had two delicious non alcoholic drinks. For our first drink we sat outside and then for our second drink we moved inside. Loved the vibe. Definitely will be back soon.

We stopped by for karaoke on Friday and the cocktails are top notch as always. I loved the Sixteen Candles and the Spill the Tea! Their cocktails are delicious and very reasonably priced. Karaoke was super fun and all my friends and I had a blast! They have karaoke on select Fridays. If you don't want to partake, there's a connecting outdoor space where you can vibe.

Such a cool space in the Regent Square area -- if you're familiar with KLVN Coffee, JGB is across the street. They have a large bar area and a few tables. They make the ginger beer in the same space too which is cool to see. The classic ginger beer itself is amazing, I am not even the biggest fan of ginger but I could easily see myself drinking this more frequently, on its own (it's that good!). I also tried the spicy ginger beer which had a nice kick to it but wasn't overly spicy, and the dry (n/a) which I really enjoyed. I got some 4-packs to go and am super excited to enjoy at home! They have an awesome curated cocktail list using their ginger beers, as well as other local products. You can find JGB in a ton of local restaurants and bars too!

This is such a great spot. The vibe inside is really cool. There is bar seating, seats along the window, and a small table area in the back. Most cocktails can be made with NA spirits or with regular alcohol. Drinks cost between $10-$12. There also have local beers available. This time I had the Blood Orange margarita with Hidden Still tequila, blood orange, lime, and spiced syrup. This evening they also had a massage pop up in the back. They often have DJs and small events. Lots of free street parking is available out front and it is close to a few other great spots that are walking distance.

Everytime I go to Jackworth, it continues to amaze me! I got the cocktail of the month, which was called Die Dreaming. It is probably one of the best drinks I've had this summer! The staff, owners, and service are all wonderful. Highly recommend trying Jackworth if you get the opportunity.

Jackworth is becoming one of my favorite spots to hang out at. I like their drink menu and they always have something fun going on. My friend and I stopped in on a Saturday evening. There was some live music on the patio so we ordered some drinks and sat out there. I ordered the Texas Medicine which is tequila, spicy JGB, lime, and simple syrup. My friend ordered the Hey Hun, which is elderflower gin, lavender honey JGB, and lemon. Both of the drinks were so good! I ended up ordering the Hey Hun for my second cocktail! They also have 4 packs of ginger beer that you can take to go. Overall, I love this place. Definitely check it out!

Great service and vibe. Outdoor seating perfect on a warm summer day. Ginger beer a bit too gingery for me but delicious. I should have gone for the dry alcohol free which is milder. Bartender awesome and friendly. Wife got the spicy and was fine with it but it took some getting used to. I bet cocktails are amazing and we'll be back. Street parking which might be challenging on a busy night.

This is such a great place. The tasting event was such a great peak into the offerings of the "bar". The owners are enthusiastic and uber knowledgeable about ginger beer. The menu offers ginger beer offerings, non-alcoholic offerings, and cocktail (partnered with other PA distilleries and brewers). It's rustic yet upscale and a perfect addition to the Pittsburgh scene. It's well worth a trip and a drink. Not only is the inside offering the perfect Pittsburgh feel, but there's an outdoor space that offers music and food trucks on occasion. You can find out what's happening via IG or their calendar. It's a must check out for everyone as they offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Love their ginger beers! So spicy yet versatile! Their bartenders always do an amazing job with their selection of cocktails and NAs. I love every drinks that I've tried so far. The staffs always so friendly and it makes you feel like you're right at home chilling with your friends. Fun fact: their ginger shots are a good detox option if you're not into the mix juices.

Wow wow wow!! So excited that they're finally open. The ginger beer is crazy good! The spicy one is my favorite. And the ginger beer cocktails are out of this world delish. Service is superb. Such a cool setup. Comfortable and welcoming vibe really enhancing the originality of the building.

I was with a friend group of 8 and we stopped in during a rainy afternoon slump, thinking we'd just do a ginger shot and head back. We ended up getting lit at this Star Wars-esque bar! After we all did a ginger lemon cayenne shot, we sat down at the bar and ordered a bunch of drinks. I got the cocktail of the month and a Tender Love and Pear (both very good). Thank you to the one bartender who was very attentive and flexible with our separate checks!

This place has such a good vibe, and played great music on a Friday night! My partner and I got the original and classic ginger beer (one had 5% alcohol and the other 0%). The non alcoholic one had a nice sweetness to it, and the alcoholic was quite mild in sweetness and not too dry! Can't wait to try the spicy and lavender honey flavor (so creative)! The place has a nice ambiance, just hoping they expand the seating a little bit.

This is a hip little bar with unique offerings. I enjoyed the classic ginger beer. I would love to return again to try one of the cocktails like their Moscow mule. They had food in the courtyard when I visited (from a visiting restaurant) which was great, and while there wasn't any live music when I visited, the events which do look really cool. I'll be back! (It's in the neighborhood, after all!)

This spot is awesome! Love that they are open on a Monday and it's pretty poppin too. They have food trucks parked out front - look on Instagram to see who's there and when. The ginger beer cocktails here are awesome! I really loved the whiskey ginger drink I had and they do specials with the local pop ups they partner with like Malaysian Kitchen. The calamansi cocktail with ginger beer was excellent. Staff is also pretty nice and the space is very hip and vibey too. They have an outdoor space which is nice. Love that they do NA ginger beer and have zero proof options. Definitely recommend them if you love ginger beer!

Once in a while, I visit an establishment that makes me a little jealous that a neighborhood has this certified gem... and it's 2000 miles away from me! Pay attention here. I do not do bar reviews. I do not usually drink pop or soda (but I am a Vernor's Ginger Ale fan and a Ginger Beer lover). I am not into mocktails. Take all these facts into account and notice this place was so perfect that it has me going against my own norms, and it gets 5 stars. Relaxed, upscale (yet casual) atmosphere. BEYOND-EXCELLENT ginger beer. LIFE-CHANGING ginger shots. Mocktails that are DELICIOUS and make sense. Jackworth's is the opposite of the Pittsburgh dive bar scene. This place is a haven. I also have a feeling it is the foundation of Pittsbutgh's Ginger Beer Movement (Yes, it's a thing... Well. Now it is.) Anyway, Jackworth Ginger Beer and it's Bar are officially engraved on my favorites list!! That's right, greatness has been achieved. Jackworth, remember this day. My approval holds more value that any award or validation in modern society. Wear it with pride.

Came here during their holiday party and found a good crowd. The staff were great, working their way through the different asks. Many people, myself included, inquired about the four packs (presell and sold out today, check out Instagram for the next sale). The bar area was intimate and I found the outdoor area had a few tables and took up a spot (soaking up the unseasonably warm weather). I got a draft ginger beer (non alcoholic) and it was refreshing. It's the spicy kind of ginger beer and not overly sweet. Beautiful. Check out the spot!

Congrats to Jackworth on the recent one year anniversary. I've gone a handful of times over the past few years and have been blown away every time. The vibe is trendy/hip while still being pretty laid back, and it draws a similar type of good crowd, regardless of if it's during quieter or peak hours. For the drinks, the ginger beer and any associated cocktails I've had have all been great. It feels like the type of place where you could throw a dart at the cocktail menu and whatever you got would be amazing. For non-drinkers, they have several mocktails that I've heard good things about, though can't speak to myself. And they also do have a solid small craft beer selection, as well as cheap IC light. It is still Pittsburgh, afterall. On weekends there are foodtrucks, and if not, you are welcome to bring in or order your own food to the bar. There is a projector screen that will sometimes show major events (Olympics, Super Bowl, Daytona 500), but it is usually not on and is certainly not a sports bar vibe. In terms of the staff, I had met the owners early on (and they're often around), and you could immediately tell the passion and excitement they had for what they were doing. In the time since, I've met a handful of other employees, from the production side to the bartenders, and they all are the same way. These are people that have a lot of pride and love for their product, their bar, and their community, and it certainly shows. If you live in the area, or are visiting, I absolutely recommend stopping in.

Delicious and so well priced and great ambiance. Where else can you get a delicious and different cocktail for only $10. Ginger beer is $5? Can't beat it. Owners are super nice as well. Excited for their new cocktail series.

Had this place recommended and stopped by to try out the cocktails. Ended up just drinking their Sorrel Ginger Beer on tap because it was so good. A friend ordered a round of the ginger health shots, which were delicious, and the bartender did one with us. It was a really friendly and intimate vibe with a great menu.

Neave is AMAZINGLY hospitable and BEYOND accommodating. Pleaseeeeeee go see them for their delicious products, but even more so for the aura and overall welcoming vibe they so effortlessly give here! Such a great new place! The drinks here are amazing! The best mule I have ever had! The staff there goes above and beyond! The owner is personable and makes sure your experience is over the top. Great inside and outdoor patio. You can bring your own food. A must stop!!!!

Amazing bar, Neave the bartender really made me feel a deep connection to the drinks I was having. Did you know they source their organic ginger from Peru?! 10/10 would love to host an event there. Apparently karaoke on Fridays is where it's at!

Looked forward to trying this place especially since our friends are ginger beer lovers. I will say the drinks were good but I feel they rushed to open the place. It felt more like a pop up bar than an established place. Furniture was stacked sky high in the back and a bullet hole in the window was not welcoming.

Such a cool and unique spot! My partner and I have been here a few times for events and I can't wait until the official opening! Staff and owners are so friendly and fantastic drinks! The ambiance is great: cool color changing lights, and string lights outside. 10/10!

Great spot! Fun and the drinks were tasty. Was very busy but drinks were on time and those folks were hustling. Great atmosphere and chill place to hang and have good drinks with a staff that was very accommodating. I'm definitely going back!
