Congrats to Jackworth on the recent one year anniversary. I've gone a handful of times over the past few years and have been blown away every time. The vibe is trendy/hip while still being pretty laid back, and it draws a similar type of good crowd, regardless of if it's during quieter or peak hours.
For the drinks, the ginger beer and any associated cocktails I've had have all been great. It feels like the type of place where you could throw a dart at the cocktail menu and whatever you got would be amazing. For non-drinkers, they have several mocktails that I've heard good things about, though can't speak to myself. And they also do have a solid small craft beer selection, as well as cheap IC light. It is still Pittsburgh, afterall.
On weekends there are foodtrucks, and if not, you are welcome to bring in or order your own food to the bar. There is a projector screen that will sometimes show major events (Olympics, Super Bowl, Daytona 500), but it is usually not on and is certainly not a sports bar vibe.
In terms of the staff, I had met the owners early on (and they're often around), and you could immediately tell the passion and excitement they had for what they were doing. In the time since, I've met a handful of other employees, from the production side to the bartenders, and they all are the same way. These are people that have a lot of pride and love for their product, their bar, and their community, and it certainly shows.
If you live in the area, or are visiting, I absolutely recommend stopping in.
