What a wonderful time we had! We stayed in the Group A site. Beautiful Ramada and area. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and the trash was collected twice a day. The only thing we didn’t love was that there wasn’t actual individual sites. There were just divets around the Ramada. In the end, it was actually decent to have everyone face that way. Also the campfire pit had benches. We would love to come back here depending on what happens with this fire right now. It’s just a quick jaunt to the north rim but from what I’ve been told, it’s burned down 😭. The store and lodge across the street is fantastic and has amazing cookies!

Clean campground with camp host's that do an excellent job. A little loud so I would get to the back as much as possible. 40 miles from the campground to the North Rim NP. Beautiful drive. Clean restrooms. Worked well for us. We were in the National park most of the time.

We stayed here for 2 nights in late-May 2024 and used it as a base to visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was an easy, early morning, 45 mile drive to the North Rim. It is a nice US Forest Service campground. We were happy to have reserved site #45 for our camper-van, as the campground was pretty full. The site’s gravel driveway was flat. The campground is near the highway, but there was not much traffic noise at night. The vault toilet was very clean and well-stocked. Highly recommended!

Clean, isolated camp area with large campsites, potable water and clean restrooms. Lots of rvs, trailers and tent campers. Also pet friendly for leashed friends. Definitely a beautiful place to stay and explore. Check out the amphitheater too! Wander into the woods and enjoy breathing in some fresh nature.

We stayed here between visiting the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon. It’s one of the nicer campgrounds I’ve stayed at. The staff were helpful and friendly, and there were several campsites available when we visited in early June. The campsites have a picnic table and a fire pit with a grill. The bathrooms were easily the cleanest I’ve seen at any campsite, and other campers were respectful of the noise & light rules. The camp store and gas station are a minute a way, have any supplies you’d need for a night of camping.

Great campground - clean and very well maintained. Nice large spaces. Hosts Sharon and Russ were great - helpful and friendly. Watch for the kaibab squirrels - very beautiful with white tails and dark gray bodies. The 24s

Yelp
Beautiful campground! We were driving east on Route 89A towards Marble Canyon and we were all tired and hungry. The sign for the campground was a welcome sight even though we were not thinking about camping there. We were looking for a comfortable picnic ground were we could have a festive lunch, a little nap and a couple of hours of rest before getting back on the road. So we turned right onto AZ-67 a little passed the campground entrance, and a few hundred yards, left onto the entrance of the no fee picnic area. The place is beautiful and well maintained. The picnic tables are nicely shaded by big trees and the public restrooms are clean. After filling our bellies we went for a walk exploring the surrounding, and I can tell you that the campground itself is just as well-kept and maintained. Right in the corner of Route 89A and AZ-67 there is the Jacob Lake Inn and Store. So if you want to stick around for the night, but are not big on camping check this place out, it is a good alternative to roughing it out under the trees! And the place is only 45 mile from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon!

Yelp
Stopped at Jacob's lake nest the north rim of the Grand Canyon national park entrance toad. Busy place with gas , food , lodging . Seems like private concessionaires have the lease? on this busy corner . Beautiful part of our state .

Yelp
We were wanting to see the North Rim & we were able to get in here. It was a bit of drive to the Rim but gave us us a chance to enjoy the area. There is a restuarant & store/ gift shop across the road. We didn't eat there. We did buy some of their " famous" cookies. Guess Im spoiled but we didn't find them as great as their reputation. There was a ranger station in the same lot as well as a gas station. We were very comfortable for 4 nights & would go back again.

Yelp
Such a wonderful campground. I have been to multiple sites and this by far has been the greatest. The camping spaces are all spread out, plenty of space for my family and our 3 pups. The employees are WONDERFUL, very friendly and very informative of the area. There is a cute shop and cafe across the street, employees are super nice, very delicious cookies and shakes! This is a great area, it does get cold at night so bring layers! I will definitely be coming back here!

Yelp
We did not stay at the campgrounds but in the Cabins, which I've posted photos of. We had a really lovely time at Jacob Lake Campground. The cabins are clean and cozy. We rented ours, which was technically a two bedroom, for $127/night. A really good deal, especially if you have more than two people in your party. The rooms are connected by the bathroom, kind of like a Jack and Jill bedroom so you can shut the door and have some privacy. The amenities were clean, everything was functioning, water was hot. The bedding seemed fresh and they clean the cabins daily. No TVs but they do have WiFi (although don't you come out here to get away from those things? :)) You can't cook or have a fire so keep that in mind - if you want somewhere to roast weenies or marshmallows, the cabins may not be the place for it. If my husband gets his turkey tag here again, we'll definitely stay in the cabins again!

Yelp
The cleanest campground restrooms I've ever seen or used. Nice quiet campground! Great surroundings with the tall trees.

Yelp
We had booked our stay well in advance due to the fact that this area gets booked out months and years in advance. They have the Jacob Lake in hotels motels and cabins across the street which are very nice well care Ford and you can tell that they keep up with the appearance and the upkeep of the place. With the campground we were lucky enough to get in for a slot for three days. We had planned on cooking our own food all three days but as soon as we got in we went across the street to Jacob Lake Inn and had a hamburger cookies and a shake there. Let's just say we ended up having breakfast lunch and dinner there all three days and we really didn't do too much cooking. We also bought about three dozen of cookies for us to take home to friends and family. If you're staying at the campground I wouldn't waste my time packing food to eat I would recommend going next-door and drowning all of your sorrows in there good quality amazing food and solidify the deal with a couple of cookies

Yelp
What a great little campground. Half the sites are reservable and half are first-come, first-served. The hosts in this campground are very friendly and they keep it clean and pristine. The restrooms were spotless. Only down side is it's close to the highway and there is some road noise during the day.

Yelp
Very nice camp ground. Really really clean!! Clean restroom located throughout the campground, large campsites for any type of camping. Restaurant, gas, store just across the street. Quiet, easy access.

Yelp
We had a great experience at this campground. The map location on Yelp is incorrect, placing the campground in Fredonia, AZ. This campground is very clean and well run. Sharon and Russ were our most excellent hosts, delivering our firewood and keeping things up to snuff. The sites here are spacious, with level spots for both tents or trailers. The road noise is there, but it quiets down nicely at twilight. And really, are you hanging out in your site during the day or visiting that big hole in the ground nearby??? If you are complaining about the road noise, reset your priorities. It's not THAT bad. Camper tip: we pack shooting earplugs for just such occasions...comfortable to sleep in and completely effective...plug in and tune out. The restrooms here were the cleanest and nicest smelling we have encountered in our travels. Keep in mind, these are pit toilets. Keeping them clean requires effort and time. The hosts here do an exemplary job. They hang a small scented sheet on the hook next to the door...instant nasty aroma eliminator. Take note California camp hosts, these folks do it right. The loops here are nicely spaced, and we never heard or really saw our neighbors. If you love camping and seeing the sights, Jacob Lake Campground might just be the spot for you. If you camp to sit in your sight and watch tv...move on to an RV Park. We will be back. Thank you for a great experience Sharon and Russ.

Yelp
Clean, well taken cared of. Groundskeepers regularly come around to check on bathroom cleanliness and occasionally offer firewood for sale. No showers. Water available (non drinking). Plenty of shade. Next to a highway but cars do not come often. Just down the road from a gas station, inn and convenience store. Sells ice. 1 hour away from Grand Canyon North Rim. 2 hours away from Zion. 3 hours from Las Vegas. $70 for 3 nights.

Yelp
Great facility with even better service. The best campground of our three week adventure. Conveniently located between the North Rim and Kenab, Utah. Well maintained and super clean. We loved our time here.

Yelp
I've made a lot of reservations online for campgrounds at state and national parks, and there's almost always an issue (arrive too late to get reservation, no sign of camp host, etc). This time, my name was already on the camp post, and the camp host asked if I needed anything within 10 minutes of my arriving. Well done.

Yelp
Its a great site in the Kaibab Pine forest. Bathrooms are clean; the gravel roads are well maintained. However, we've been using our National Park Annual Pass to make reservations for camping on the recreation.gov site for many years. On the site, if you enter your card number, you'll get half off on nightly rates. We did that also for this site. However, after we arrived and set up our camp site, the site manager came out and asked for ID and to see the annual pass. Then she built a case with documentation claiming the card is not good for camping discounts. Then she forced us to cough up additional cash in order to remain. It kind of set the tone for the rest of the camping trip. My wife could not discuss anything else. We've used the card dozens of times to get half price on camping. This is the first time anyone challenged us about it. She recommended that we call Recreation.gov to remedy the situation. So we did, and they said there should be no problem using the card to get a discount on camping. She said she has been collecting money from many campers throughout the camping season.
