The 17 Best Restaurants In Allapattah - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Dominican spot specializes in pica pollo—a combo meal featuring savory fried chicken with a side of french fries or tostones. It’s not heavily seasoned, nor does it have a thick, crunchy crust. In fact, the chicken at Jacqueline’s is crust-free. It hits the spot when you’re looking for an uncomplicated but filling lunch. And it’s a pretty good deal at about $10 for three pieces of chicken and some tostones, which we recommend getting over the fries. Just remember that it’s cash only and it’s mostly street parking in this neighborhood." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

Jacqueline's Fried Chicken - Review - Allapattah - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Dominican spot in Allapattah specializes in pica pollo—a sort of combo meal featuring very savory fried chicken with a side of french fries or tostones. It’s not as seasoned as Haitian-style fried chicken, nor does it have a thick, crunchy crust like Southern fried chicken. In fact, the chicken at Jacqueline’s is crust-free. It hits the spot when you’re looking for an uncomplicated yet filling lunch. And it’s a pretty good deal at under $10 for three pieces of chicken and some tostones, which we recommend getting over the fries. Just remember that it’s cash only and it’s mostly street parking in this neighborhood." - Carlos C Olaechea

Google
The dishes came out quickly and tasted freshly prepared — you could tell care went into the cooking.

The food was good but it doesn’t taste like Dominican Pica Pollo. There is not parking on this place

Chicken was seasoned well however, the pieces should be bigger. Also, the customer service needs improvement. I asked for five (5) chicken legs and I was given three (3) legs and two (2) other pcs. that I couldn't even recognize. My order should have been correct since the beginning. The employees need to be able to better understand English in order to close and eliminate the communication gap.

Kindly update your hours. The internet says you're open and I took an expensive Uber to you and nada...nadie. I'll re-review once I catch you open. Thanks.

First the food it super good and at a great price i love it! But the customer service not so good, as most places in Miami. Plus parking is horrible.

Yelp
In an out, quick services . Good flavor. Better than kfc & Popeyes. Not really for sitting just takeout.

Yelp
Would've loved to try it. They don't answer the phone, drove 45 minutes for them to be closed an hour and a half early with people inside. It must be amazing.

Yelp
This place is excellent for quick fried chicken and fries or stewed chicken and rice. Chicken is seasoned and tasty!

Yelp
Better/Fresher/More Flavorful than KFC, Popeyes or any of the chains. Hole in the wall type spot with great pricing, $5 for chicken & fries, can't beat that. Park in the lot behind the building, be advised it is CASH ONLY.

Yelp
Very basic, very good fried chicken, perfectly cooked. Large, juicy pieces of chicken breaded and cooked to a reddish golden color, leaving the skin crispy, and sealing in all the juices. They had three friers running for chicken on Saturday night, and we're serving orders of chicken and "papas" or tostones- also perfectly cooked- at about one every two minutes. Busy and brisk. The neighborhood is mostly Dominican, with other interesting and busy restaurants nearby. This one is mostly takeout... Although a couple patrons were standing at a counter off to the left of the door having their chicken. There were other selections in the display case... A pork chop dish that the customer ahead of me ordered the last of, and some macaroni salad. The salad was off in a side cabinet and looked untouched... Perhaps left over from lunch; no one else was ordering it so I passed. The establishment isn't fancy- very utilitarian. Service was polite and fast. There was a soda cabinet also. The chicken and tostones, which were taken home to eat, were delicious. I'll be back!

Yelp
This chicken is life. Extra surface area of crisp. Juicy. $5 bucks and you're gooooooood. Puts KFC and Popeyes to shame. Yuma is my girl.
