One of the best pho bowls I’ve had in a while! I’ve ordered their chicken pho for take out. The portion was generous and full of flavor- you could tell it was made with love. And for a great price. The store is small and cozy and has great vibes too. Will be ordering again!

The take-out pho is prepared with the ingredients separated so it is very fresh and the servers are very kind. The pho was delicious and tasty.

New Thai restaurant in the Washington heights area. It’s a small restaurant, mostly for take out. A few chairs that could fit about 12 people. The food here is very tasty and fresh. I had the duck soup and was very satisfied with the taste and the portion size. If u like my review click like.

How lucky are we to have pho in Washington Heights?! I’ve been ordering delivery and picking up takeout from this spot since they first opened. 1) The woman (I wish I knew her name) who runs the place is SO kind and friendly! 2) The restaurant is sparkly clean. 3) The food is fantastic. I’ve never had a bad or “off” experience here. The quality has been very consistent. I usually order pho and as a non-vegetarian, I have to say that the tofu pho is surprised my favorite. My boyfriend has ventured more into the thai dishes (usually curry) and we’ve truly enjoyed everything we’ve tried so far. 5 out of 5 ✨

Been looking for Vietnamese Pho Noodle in Washington Height for years. Finally one is here in the heart of Washington Height just right behind Columbia Hospital. The rice noodle is super fresh, the broth is sooo flavorful and the beef is tender. We also tried their Pad Thai which is so yummy than I ever had!!! This place for sure will become my regular restaurant for my dinner. They also have vegetarian option and healthy option like Vietnamese salad with meat options! The staff is very nice. Highly recommend!

Definitely my go-to at least once a month. The food is delicious and great portions. The staff is very kind and accommodating as I have some allergies. I enjoy the fried rice dishes, and the pho broth. I’m not a fan of the pad Thai unfortunately. Food is always arriving fast and hot. They’re awesome, definitely continue to recommend them. Thanks!

Delicious! Ordered from here for the first time via Doordash and it arrived very quickly and was very hot on arrival (they use their own delivery people). The pork spring rolls were INCREDIBLE and the lady on the phone was so nice explaining when I told her I had a gluten allergy she told me how the pork spring rolls are fried in separate oil, and almost the entire menu is gluten free! I did add soy sauce to my pineapple fried rice as I felt it lacked a little salt (a rare thing for me to say!) but this could be beneficial for anyone wanting lower sodium or to add sauce to taste and was still delicious! The portion size was great, I don't know who thinks that's too small....I had more than half of my fried rice leftover after eating that and half of the pork spring rolls, and I basically hadn't eaten all day and I'm so full! Competitively priced for the other thai places in the area as well. Definitely will be ordering from there again, can't wait to try the other dishes!

I'm happy to see this place is still thriving. I recently saw someone on my feed like one of my pictures and was happy to see that it was still open. I went to make a visit and was not disappointed with my order. I got some crispy shrimp rolls, Thai lychee tea, and some green curry with shrimp. I wasn't that crazy about the rolls because they were not crispy at all when I made it back home. I love myself some lychee tea, but I would pass next time, and as for my green curry with shrimp. That was delicious. It was sweet. It was spicy. It was comforting food. Now I don't know what happened to the rice, but once I added the curry to it, it wasn't that bad. The service was great because the woman who took my order helped me decide which curry I wanted because they offered different kinds. It looks like they have less space for you to dine it, but they still have space. I'm gonna give thumbs-up for this spot. Happy Yelping!

I was craving something hot and well rounded when I stumbled across Jad Jaan. The store front is inviting with their "A" rating in the window and clean minimalist interior. I inquired of the woman behind the counter if there were any lunch specials, sadly no. No worries, I ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken. Delicious! It has good heat meaning it is not obnoxious to the point you can't taste the food. The heat is complimentary to the flavors in the meal. The spritz from the lime gave it another layer of flavor. This was just what I needed to continue my shift.

Sooo good. I was sick and I got the vegetable pho and summer rolls. I felt so much better and you get your moneys worth

Had a strong craving for some Pho on a smoldering Tuesday afternoon and needed it asap. Thankfully there was Jad Jaan's near enough to me and available to deliver. They're in Washington Heights so if you're in any of the surrounding neighborhoods put them on your radar. I was able to get the basic Pho Slide ('Slice' typo I think) Rare Eye Round delivered piping hot. Broth and meat were kept separate from the noodles so nothing is soggy and the meat is ready by the time it arrives. They give you plenty of garnish and sauce so you aren't missing anything by not going in...except probably air conditioning. Would also recommend the Chicken & Shrimp Dumplings!

Some of the best, if not, the best Thai/Viet in the neighborhood. The service is easy. The food is great. I had most of the menu. I judge a place by how good the Tom Kha is and theirs is excellent.

Watery curry, more like broth. poorly packaged coconut rice was a nightmare ball I'd plastic wrap.

Last night I got food delivered from here and found it forgettable. Considering the great reviews, I was hoping for better quality. I got the smiley pork, grilled bbq pork buun, the drunken noodles with chicken and the Thai basil with duck. The food was barely warm when it got here, and not too inviting. Both the smiley pork and the grilled bbq pork buun were very dry. The noodles in the latter were left completely undressed and the sauce they sent could barely cover a small section. The drunken noodles had very little noodles and were also dry, especially the chicken. The Thai basil with duck was better, because the meat was prepared with more care. However, most of the dish was just barely cooked green pepper and string beans... I got bored of it pretty quickly. No basil in sight... which I found weird. Overall, I don't have much of a reason to order delivery, again. Their menu has many other options, but none of the 4 dishes I got motivates me to try more.

I would make this a 1 star review but I want to be as objective as possible. I've been ordering via delivery from this place for years because I like the taste of the dishes that I order. I would be ordering online via their website, which offers free delivery for orders $30 or more. I usually order way over $30 and don't get charge for delivery. But this last time, their website credit card option was not working, making me order by phone instead. I spoke to the owner and was quoted a higher total amount than the total amount from the website I put in just a minute ago. The owner explained that I was being charged a delivery fee. I disputed the fee considering I was not supposed to be charged a fee if their website credit card option was working. I explained to the owner that it was not my fault her credit card option isn't working online and in-store, hence I have to order over the phone, pay a delivery fee and pay cash instead. I also told her that I always tip her delivery drivers way over the delivery fee each time. She still would not bulge with the delivery fee hence I told her I just won't tip her delivery driver if I'm being charged a fee then. The owner just stated, "ok, thank you" and hung up. I order at least $50 each time at this establishment. I really want to continue to support this establishment to be successful but it is obvious that the owner only cares about getting as much profits as possible. Btw, I still tipped the driver since it's never their fault when their owners act the way they do.

I had a craving for pho and didn't know of any places in the area, so I was very happy to find Jad Jaan. It's not very close to me, but delivery was much quicker than I expected. The highlights of my order were the delicious BBQ pork skewers, and the chicken fried rice which was one of the best I've ever had. The braised angus beef shank pho was really really good and the meat was very tender, it didn't need the hoisin or sriracha and actually tasted better before I added the sauces. The Bangkok beef (pepper steak) was very good and is definitely order it again. The spring rolls were spring rolls, hard to go wrong! I'd definitely recommend placing an order which you can do directly on their website.

I was in the mood for Vietnamese food and was pleasantly surprised to find Jad Jaan in the Washington Heights area near Columbia Irving Medical Center. I ordered for pick-up through their website when I visited for the first time, but they had not processed my order before I arrived. The lady at the front was very apologetic and gave me a Thai Iced Tea on the house which was nice. For appetizers, I recommend the Pork/Vegetable Spring Rolls and Pork Buuns. The spring rolls are crunchy and come with a sweet chili sauce--I generally prefer a fish or vinegar sauce with fried spring rolls, but the rolls themselves were very tasty. I usually get the Slide (Slice?) Rare Eye Round Pho. If you get take-out, the noodles and vegetable accompaniments come packaged separately from the hot broth.

I was craving Thai food and being so close to home I figured I check out this new place. I ordered online and picked up at the restaurant. Inside was small but very clean. The female at the register was friendly. I've had drunken noodles at several places, this is the first time I've had it with tomato chunks. It felt so misplaced, I didn't care for it nor was I a fan of the excess onions. I also ordered the jad jaan shrimp, it wasn't spicy but the flavor was decent. I had high expectations for this place. I like the idea of variety foods in the neighborhood but this wasn't exactly up to par. This place wasn't bad, I just wasn't impressed. I may try something else on the menu at a later date.

I just got delivery from seamless and two bites in I can tell this is by far the worst pho I've ever eaten. Oh well.

We ordered delivery from here since we were craving Thai food for dinner. We got a yellow curry (came with rice) and the flaming green bean dish, both with chicken. The chicken in the veggie dish was a bit drier than we would've preferred, but the flavor was on point and the meal was satisfying overall!

The delivery was spot on. The delivery person was cordial, friendly and professional. Delivery was quicker than anticipated and arrived piping hot. More importantly, this was perhaps the most delicious and well prepared meals that I ever ordered. I intend to share that with my friends and acquaintances. Jad Jann, you have a new and happy and satisfied customer!

Very clean establishment with upbeat music and minimal but cute decor. They have a fun pop playlist in the background and enough seating for 16 ppl total in restaurant For the price point the Thai iced tea and pho are very good. Veggies in the pho are fresh.

Great little spot. The woman taking my order that day was extremely nice and my order was ready really quickly. There was no one else there and I got the beef eye round pho. It's not the most amazing pho but it does trick. Def a bit more expensive than most bowls but very filling. They packaged my noodles separately from the broth to avoid giving me soggy noodles. I got mine to go. Considering the area has very limited food options outside of Latin food and Dallas BBQ, I welcome this addition to the neighborhood. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is hella strong. Needs a good shake before sipping since that condensed milk sits at the bottom. Go show these peeps some love!

This restaurant deserves all the credit in the world for being hit with GrubHub's "free lunch" promotion yesterday and still delivering my order. If I had known GrubHub was going to announce this promotion to all of NYC except the businesses it relies on, I never would have ordered. The food arrived late but I'm shocked they delivered at all, and it's still tasty. Thank you Jad Jaan, and next time I order I will be calling you directly because these middleman companies are trash.

This is my first time ordering from this place and I was very much looking forward to it. I must say that the Jad Jaan shrimp was Delicious!!!! The flavors were on point and the spice level was perfect for me. I did ask to make extra spicy though, not sure what the regular spice level is. Only draw back is that for price, I would expect more shrimp and not so much veggies. The chicken and shrimp dumplings were a little tough but I guess I'd have to try it fresh to get a better idea of it. My friend ordered the spicy basil fried rice with beef and it was good and spicy. They are also quiet generous with their portion sizes. Overall I liked it and I'll try something else someday.

Fast delivery. Food was piping hot! Got the slide rare eye-round pho. Great flavorful broth- just like my moms. Large portion size. And perfect noodle-to-broth ratio. Also got the vegetable spring rolls. They punctured the container to keep it crispy! Those were good too. No need to trek all the way to Chinatown for a good bowl of pho.

Ordered delivery from this bc I was craving pho from back home (from LA- so it's gotta be good!) Delivery was on time! Woo! And the packaging was so safe (separate sealed container for broth/meat, one for noodles, extras in a bag) and all warm!! The soup was SO GOOD. Definitely hit that craving. Would 100% order again on a cold night :)

I don't truly know what the food is like from this place. I've ordered delivery 3 times. Each order was 3 dishes for $67 including all sorts of fees and food arrived 90minutes after order every time!!!. Bloated noodles cold food, just delivery from hell once it arrives. . I feel bad for the delivery men, but this is unacceptable. Getting food prepared and out the door is their responsibilities, so this review is just. I believe in adding reviews after 3 reviews minimum, and tonight they've done it again.

I've tried three Thai restaurants in the area and this one was the worst . I always get pad kee mao at the others and for some reason I wanted to try the one in this restaurant . It was extremely spicy . I love spicy food but just one bite and it was too spicy where you can't enjoy the food . It also taste bad not like the others I've had in the area .

Quick delivery. Delicious pork and shrimp dumplings, though too expensive for only 4. The drunken noodles were flavorful and wonderfully spicy. The green curry was great, but I would have enjoyed it if there were more vegetables included. But overall, some of the highest quality Thai food I've found in the area.

To be honest, I detest writing less than stellar reviews, especially to places that are new and eager to try. However, I do believe in constructive criticism so here it goes: There are 4 Thai food restaurants, within a 5 block radius, that provide a better lunch special than Jad Jaan & for a cheaper price. The other places give a free drink, separate app and/or salad and separate a large main. With my to-go lunch order earlier @ JJ this week, there was only one container with 2 divisions; one for a small salad next to my small order of drunken noodles. The peanut sauce was delish but the drunken noodle was meh and had 2 inches of multiple pieces of hardly cooked green pepper. I was left hungry and annoyed I paid so much for so little in comparison to the other restaurants I've frequented. In addition, their Thai Iced Tea was disappointingly cloyingly sweet and an unfortunate incident occurred where a homeless man came into the shop begging all patrons for money. This uncomfortableness lasted quite some time, 7-10 minutes, when all the employees were in the back. In a place that small, a business front should not be abandoned for that long. I sincerely hope they get better, the cashier young woman was nice and the place seemed clean.

New Thai/Vietnamese restaurant in Washington Heights. After Empire Noodles closed, no other place to get pho! I got the grilled pork bun and it was overall, tasty. I wish they had more fish sauce, and their carrots were julienned instead of cut bulky, but the flavors were present. The crispy pork spring roll was crispy and chewy - loved it! There was a descent amount of pork, but I just wished the vermicelli was full rice noodles - it tasted more like tapioca style since it had a harder texture. My coworkers for the chicken pad Thai which went well with the peanut sauce that accompanied the salad, and my other coworker got the drunken noodles. The taste is MUCH lighter and cleaner than Thung Thai - and their food is much hotter in temperature. I like it here since their service is also better given that it's a newer location so the food is prepared quickly. I wish they had banh mi but maybe once they refine their other dishes, banh mi will make its way. Saiguette in UWS is definitely much better, but I'm excited to have this spot open. I hope they continue to refine their menu and make small changes. I didn't taste the chicken pho but I wish they would strain the broth so less of the chicken protein sediments at the bottom. Overall though, descent portion, and all the fixings come along with it, including a lime! I would definitely go back since I want to try their Thai food. I wish the Alaskan crab did not have yellow rice, but white jasmine rice. For over $18, it would be nice if the rice quality was a little better.

Was super excited when I saw that a Vietnamese place opened up in Washington Heights. I grew up eating Vietnamese and have to go to lower Manhattan to get it. I got the chicken bun and asked them to substitute the peanut sauce with the sweet and tangy traditional sauce that bun usually comes with. The appearance of the bun is a little disappointing. It looked like an attempt to make bun for the first time. The noodles are thin rather than the thick vermicelli, which made the texture off. The lettuce was yellow and cut into huge chucks. The portion of noodles and lettuce is also off. It's mostly just noodles. Giving this a 3 because the chicken was really tasty and the overall taste was correct so it hit the spot for my craving, but I would probably not go out of my way to get the bun from here. Not worth the price for what you get since you can get better bun for the same price elsewhere. I, however, would go back to try other things.

The food is awesome! Me and my girlfriend order home delivery once a week. Very authentic, clean and fresh food! Super fast delivery! Recommend: Thai Tea , Chicken fried rice and the drunken noodles.

Nah yall this food ain't it... there's mad bugs in the restaurant and the food smelled weird / old. I've had Vietnamese before and Pho is one of my favorite dishes but this was just not it

We're on a medical trip from Hawaii which has many good Thai and Vietnamese restaurants. We ordered delivery and it came promptly. We ordered the Smiley Pork, Spicy Basil Fried Rice Shrimp, Bangkok Steak, Thai Iced Tea, Jasmine Rice, and Tofu Pad Thai. Although the prices are a tad high, the food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the Basil Fried Rice (perfectly spicy), Pad Thai (great flavor), and Bangkok Steak (tender and tasty). I requested that the peanuts for the Pad Thai be kept separate and was happy to see them in a separate container. I wish we had found this restaurant earlier in our stay. Hopefully we'll have a chance to order again before we leave for home.

Not great Vietnamese but beggars can't be choosers in Harlem when it comes to Viet food. It's actually less than ok. It's almost intolerable considering the prices & the blahish ingredients. The prices are kind of crazy expensive considering... Having given a mediocre review, I'll be honest I have ordered from them 4 times this week. Each time disappointed that it's not as delicious as Viet food should be. It's like going to the Mill in the UWS only because it was the only Korean option in the area for decades... I keep hoping it gets better but it doesn't... don't fool yourself like me... Pass unless desperate.

First and foremost, I consider myself the absolute authority on Thai food and a close 2nd in the sensitivity of my palate in fine Vietnamese dining. I had the pleasure of sampling a good many of Jad Jaans Thai Viennamese house specialty dishes & appetizers, including their really tasty Pho. Results = fresh ingredients, low sodium dishes, all made to order from scratch. For me, it doesn't get better than that bravo! 5 stars

Thankful to have found Jad Jaan! As a first time order, I got the chicken pho and vegetable spring rolls (both dishes were sooo good and fulfilling) and let me tell you...it was delivered quick hot all the way to Harlem. I also like that you guys put a little spoon in the bag for the Pho soup and added the Thai chili sauce as noted. You're awesome! (the little things that make me happy lol). The direct order through their website is great, easy with pics and fast. I couldn't be more happier with finding this spot. I will be ordering again soon.

I'm obsessed with pho and I'm usually a regular at another spot in the bronx but I decided to give this place a try. I have never had a more lackluster pho. The beef pieces tasted old and was majority fat. My boyfriend who pretty much eats anything did not want my extra pieces of meat because of how chewy they were. There were absolutely no onions or jalapeños and the broth was all salt no flavor.

The flavors of this restaurant are crazy good!! Best Green Curry we've ever tasted!! Drunken noodles were good, too. Mango sticky rice was spectacular!! Attend the Thai iced tea had real lychees!! Lunch specials available, too.

Brand new Thai Vietnamese spot in Washington Heights. The loveliest service, fast and efficient. Their cold vermicelli salad is perfect for this summer. The Thai iced tea always hits the spot and I love their shumai and smiley pork, which is basically a mini pork bun. Their Tom yum soup is a good balance of sour and spicy. Portions are great and price is the same as anything you can get in the area.

Worst pad Thai ever. Super dry and ccs without peanuts don't come here ... the Thai iced tea was flat and came with no ice!

Their pineapple fried rice is soo good! So much better than a random Thai place's! Also like the green curry too. Haven''t had other things yet, but will try more!

Needed a quick bite that wasn't fast food or pizza. Jad Jaan sounded intriguing, and I love Thai food. I got one dish, the Drunken Noodles with chicken, so take this review for what it is worth. The dish was spicier than I'm used too. (It was hot!) But I liked it. The flavors were nicely separated and the chicken and vegetables were quite fresh. It was a unique drunken noodle dish but a nice unexpected result. The veggies could have been cooked a little more for my taste. The service was very friendly and quickly prepared. I will definitely return to try out more dishes.

The food was very fresh and yummy. I never expected such a delicious fresh meal from a local spot up in Washington Heights. The Super Pho was really fresh and well done. I will happily enjoy lunch or takeout here in the future.

Solid little neighborhood find. The food and service is great. Over a few visits I've had the Blue Crab Fried rice, Drunken Noodles, Chicken Skewers, and Shrimp Summer Rolls. All prepared very well, and so delish.

So good, authentic and a great idea to combine cuisines given that Thailand and Vietnam are right next to each other. So far the fried pork spring rolls, crab fried rice and fish cakes are good. Not so fond of the pork chop dish.

I believe this is my first time eating Vietnamese and I'm glad it was at Jad Jaan. Everything from the chicken & shrimp dumplings to the pork skewers was delicious and that was just the appetizers. Our server was also very nice and accommodating.
