It is located at the largest shopping mall in Honolulu. Fantastic and upscale renovation. We visit there hopping to find a place served the authentic Cantonese style chicken. We ordered two different dishes. Texture of the chicken is not as good as local raised chicken. It is plain and soft. Other dishes are not bad though.

Came here for lunch. This is at Ala Moana mall. Plenty of parking when we went. Glad we had reservations. When we arrived the place was packed. We had ordered so much food that I forgot to take pictures on all of the dishes. Fried rice was very good. The peking duck was the best! The pork buns were superb.

Large restaurant with plenty of seating- so we didn’t wait to get in,an extensive menu, plenty of helpers (went at 11am on a Friday). Had dimsum which were served fresh and hot. Enjoyed the custards & roast duck.

This is simply wow! Everything feels like I was in HK! My family enjoyed the authenticity Chinese taste this restaurant offers! I was so scared it might not taste good but we all enjoyed them so much! The staff who served us was so friendly and knows many languages! Made us feel like home!

After having a very subpar experience back in 2013 where almost everything we ordered was out, we never returned until now. A decade plus has done them good! ATMOSPHERE: From the outside it looked like they were closed. But after checking in with the host and rounding the corner, the packed and bustling dining room revealed itself. FOOD: Beef Look Fun Roll Steamed though not as moist or flavorful as Legend or Happy Days’ versions. Roasted Duck Crisp skin and tender meat. The spouse was in love with the accompanying sauce. Steamed Shrimp & Pork Dumplings (3 pcs.) Bigger and thicker than the norm, these were excellent. Baked Egg Custard Tarts (3 pcs.) Light, eggy, buttery, heavenly! Steamed BBQ Pork Buns (3 pcs.) Like a flowering bun exposing its stigma of red pork, the spouse loved it. Fried Rice w/ Chinese Sausage In Hot Stone Pot Yowza! Delish! Especially with the lup chong. Chicken Feet with Black Bean Mmm my all time fave dim sum dish. The flavor was very bold, perfectly steamed and tender, except for one foot that was rubbery. Pan Fried Chicken Potstickers These things were huge! Thicker than normal shells, expertly seared with crispy exteriors and steamed insides. Highly recommended. SERVICE: I was taken aback as the service was quite good in terms of how Chinese restaurants go. The expected curtness was absent, replaced by professionalism. OVERALL: Who knew they’d become a favorite?

This restaurant is inside a mall. I was here for a wedding farewell lunch so was able to sample lots of different dishes. Delicious food and everything tasted amazing. It seems like a popular place and was fairly packed.

Service and ambience is good. But I don't know how this restaurant gets its yearly awards.. makes me disregard anything awarded by that organisation. Food is at best mediocre. I have much better food at Fook Yuen restaurant. Seriously, I would have enjoyed Panda Express (both located at ala moana shopping center) a lot lot more

Nice atmosphere and good food. The staff will sing "happy birthday" for your group and supply dishes for your cake! Great professional service!

Yelp
Just went to it last week and thought I might give a lovely review! I took me and my grand babies to there and they loved it! Got the chicken wings and they were just so crispy and em kids gobbled it up right away while me and hubby watched! As a women that grew up in the country side and moved to this small island in my 40s with my husband and kids , it ain't easy to find real good places to eat but this place got them all, Crispy chicken wings and delicious Chinese food!! Double win!! Might come back for more cus hubby loves a good Chinese dim sim!! Service was great too! Took a bit long for the food to come out but overall the workers were just so sweet! This one lady, forgot her name but she looks a bit chubby and super sweet and Always checking up on em kids and us old ones! The only bad thing is the line cus it took us like 20 minutes to get in but other than that, everythin was just lovely!

Yelp
08/24/25 Took my friend for her birthday. So glad I made a reservation action for 10:30. When we arrived, the line stretched to the escalators! Yikes! They seated us right away and we completed the order sheet... this is where it gets squirrly. Concrete sheet is completed it seems we had to find someone to take it... then who know when the dim sum is coming. . Good was good except for a beefook funn dish we got... the pleasant surprise was when I mentioned it to the server, he quickly responded "I'll take it off your bill".... And he did. All in all it was a good experience

Yelp
We dined here yesterday. One member of our party had made a reservation for 11 people at 10:30. However, when we arrived, we were told by staff they didn't have any record of the reservation or any reservation for 11 people. At 10:45ish, after some talking, they said they could find a table to seat us but they'd need the table back by 12:15. A few minutes later they came back saying they found the reservation and that they made a typo in the name. Jade is usually our go to dim sum place due to its convenience, however we felt like the quality has gone down over time. Har gao wrappers were falling apart in the steamers, and the overall taste was more bland and oily than we remember. As my family states, hard to beat dim sum from the motherland, but jade is a good option if you're in the mood for it! When 12:15 came around they still asked us to leave (even after confirming our reservation) but we had finished and were ready to go. Definitely make a reservation (preferably for opening time at 10:30) or you'll have to wait in a long line!

Yelp
My favorite dim sum spot on the island! Plenty of parking, fast and efficient service and the dim sums are hot, fresh and tasty. Prices and portions are reasonable and I understand why you gotta wait in line. It's best if you come right when they open. If not, you wait awhile and we had to wait 30 minutes. Also, you better dash when they call your number in the microphone! They only call your number about 5 times then they move on with the "Last call!" It's hilarious to listen to and love how quickly they move on. This place is packed especially on the weekends and I loved the hustle and bustle of this place. Every seat was taken and I loved watching the servers continuously dropping off dim sums. The green pan fried dim sum is a must get! It was my first time eating it and the texture is crispy on the outside and pretty unique. I'll definitely order that again. Our favorites to order here: Mochi rice, shrimp hargow, spring rolls, Crispy noodles with bean sprouts, and now the Green shrimp and chive buns!

Yelp
Came her for wedding dinner the food was great! We had so many dishes such a duck, walnut with shrimp, fried rice and dessert. They were bringing everything out so quickly and fast! The one thing I wish they did differently was to bring fried rice out first, that was the last dish brought out right before the dessert.

Yelp
This place is located in the Ala Moana Mall on the 4th floor by Gen's KBBQ. I wasn't as impressed as I thought it would be. This is one of those places that you feel high end when you eat, but the taste doesn't feel high end and the portions aren't high end. If i want good Dim Sum I'll stick to Chinatown. The service is amazing though, I will give them that. This miss one of those places that are great for large crowds, however, the prices for 3 shumai compared to the normal 4 you get is crazy. I wouldn't come back here again, but then again that's my personal preference.

Yelp
I love Jade dynasty for good and somewhat reasonably priced dim sum. there is always a wait for a table unless you make a reservation. But you usually need to make a reservation quite well in advance for a larger party. My favorites here are the shrimp and chive dumplings. They are fried in a green wrapper, and they are lava hot inside when you get them. I usually just take a small bite and let some of the heat out before I dig in. Be careful! The char siu bao are really good. They have an option for like a snow bun or whatever and it has a sugar topping on the top of the bun. Those are good too, and the bun is super soft. However, I prefer the steamed buns. All the rest of the dim sum is really good. Not super unlike what you would get at any other dim sum restaurant. Jade Dynasty does have the advantage of being a somewhat nicer restaurant at a somewhat reasonable price point. There are dumpy Chinese restaurants they charge more for dim sum, which is crazy. I think the takeout place at the lanai food court charges more than Jade Dynasty! Everything here is really good except for the fried noodles. The fried noodles are fine, but you can get better fried noodles almost at any other Chinese restaurant. The noodles they use are not the thin kind. They're not very crispy; the meat is kind of sad. So maybe get their scallop and egg fried rice, which is much tastier.

Yelp
After Google Maps led us on a wild goose chase, we finally found the correct part of the HUGE mall where the restaurant is actually located. Thank goodness we had reservations and others in our party made it there early. We ordered quite a few different dim sum items. I didn't want to keep taking pictures and holding everyone back from being able to eat so no photos. The BBQ pork was really tender and tasty, although a little bit too much fat. I was surprised my wife liked it because she normally doesn't care much for char siu. Everything we ordered was excellent but 2 items really stood out. The snow mountain char siu buns and baked taro buns and very unique. The pastry on the outside is very light and coated with a touch of sugar. You really should not forget to order these. I've never had anything like them at any other dim sum place. Sooo delicious. Service was spot on and food was brought out in a timely manner. Servers were all friendly and did their jobs efficiently. One customer arrived late for their reservation and the man tried to argue his wife was already there. The greeter told him she only arrived a minute earlier and they most likely had a 12:30 reservation but showed up a little before 1. The restaurant is extremely busy so throwing a fit will get you nowhere. I'm not sure when I'll be returning to Hawaii but my family will definitely make a stop here when they come back in a few years. It's worth the trip. Just don't be late for a reservation (ha ha!).

Yelp
Jade Dynasty gotta have the best Dim Sum ever, great for family functions and parties. Good service and nice friendly staff. There's so many different types of foods here. Can't get enough of it.

Yelp
After much delay, having been to Jade Dynasty for eons, I'm finally confident to recommend it with a review. Really, Chinese restaurants are often hit and miss. One day it's sunshine and rainbows, the next day, it's a sh$%show. Growing up Chinese, I got used to it. It'll mean one day you love a place, the next day you vow never to return. Until you have to come back for the roast duck, or something. Jade Dynasty, no one I know would say no to. Service. It's like any other Chinese restaurants. Good service is a gift. Be glad when you get fast and responsive wait service. Be glad when you get the food you ordered. Be glad when they remembered to check in on you. Chinese restaurants are chaos. It may be one of the last classic Chinese restaurant dining rooms on the island.

Yelp
Still the Mecca of Hong Kong style dim sum in the area, notwithstanding many competitors un the vicinity, and of course, free and easy parking tops it all.

Yelp
Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant serving Classic and Innovative Dim Sum in the morning and Outstanding Chinese Cuisine for Lunch and Dinner. We tried an amazing assortment of Dim Sum today. Their signature Shrimp Dumplings and Snow Mountain Char Siu Bao were at the top of the list. Followed by Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce, Tiger Shrimp Bean Curd Rolls, Seafood Dumplings, Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumplings, and Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings. Loved the Shrimp and Chive Buns. Take out available, but you must experience their huge dining room. From the front of the house to the back staff and management do a good job serving guests.

Yelp
We were kinda bummed to find out dim sum stopped at 5pm. But since Maui doesn't have any good Chinese restaurants, we didn't mind. This is our 2nd time at this restaurant. So far each dining experience has been great. The wait staff are super efficient. You're not limited to your waiter/waitress. You can stop any of them and they'll help you. There are so many dishes to choose from. We tried the pork with ong choy in shrimp paste, sizzling oyster plate, and the salt and pepper prawns. I'm not a fan of oysters, so this comment was from my husband. "Get action!" Needless to say, he loved it. The pork and ong choy were exactly how I expected them. The ong choy was still crisp. The pork was tender. And the sauce wasn't too salty. (If you have ever cooked with harm ha, you know a little goes a LONG way.) The prawns were my fave! So crispy, you can eat the head, tail, legs, EVERYTHING! This may be our new go-to Chinese restaurant!

Yelp
Came by on a whim for dim sum with a couple of friends, and it was pretty okay. We ordered shrimp look fun, tiger shrimp fried bean curd rolls, fried dried shrimp puff, taro puff, and baked taro dessert buns. Each plate came with 3 pieces, which was perfect for our group, and each plate was around $5-6, which is a pretty good price. The dim sum itself was just so-so. The shrimp look fun was my least favorite - it had a weird texture... kind of gummy and mushy. The other dishes we ordered were better, though. The sweet taro bun was probably my favorite, with good natural taro flavor and little chunks of taro. I've come here before for a regular meal and remember that being pretty good. So maybe this isn't the best spot for dim sum, but they do other dishes pretty well.

Yelp
The dining room is Huge! Haven't been here in probably 12 years. The air is filled with yummy smells and the noise level is quite loud due to very busy restaurant with patrons occupying tables of 2 to 5 or more. Very eye catchy decor with crystal light fixtures and columns, partitioned doorways for private parties and black metal carved out with dangly prism like elements filling the central main dining room. At least 4 huge flower arrangements at each corner of the room. No dim sum during dinner, no Peking duck available tonight. Wanted Minced beef soup but too large for only two of us. First entree has arrived. The ung choy was the best I've ever had, deep green, the flavor was excellent with garlic. The capital pork chops was moist, juicy and tender. It was an orangey color but tasted similar to sweet sour spareribs. One more dish to come... we need to dash off in 20 minutes cuz we have a show to attend. Just in time. The food is worth the wait.

Yelp
After years since my last review, I'm happy to say that Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is just as exceptional as I remember. We recently celebrated with a team feast here, and everything exceeded our expectations. Even though the restaurant was bustling, the staff handled everything seamlessly. Our group of 10 was seated at a large table with wall partitions... a thoughtful touch that provided a nice level of privacy and helped reduce noise, making it perfect for a big group. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and despite the size of our party, the food arrived quickly, piping hot, and packed with flavor. On the menu: * Mochi rice with shrimp and dry scallops * Shrimp dumplings * Pan-fried turnip cake * Steamed pork and veggie buns * Deep-fried taro puffs * Tiger shrimp bean curd rolls * Seafood seaweed rolls * Snow mountain char siu bun * Chicken feet with black bean * Pan-fried crispy noodles with shredded pork and bean sprouts * Baked egg custard tarts * Almond float Every dish was a hit, and the service remained prompt and attentive throughout the meal. Hot tea continued to flow, ensuring everyone felt well taken care of. Jade Dynasty continues to impress, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for gatherings of any size. Just be sure to make reservations in advance to ensure a smooth experience.

Yelp
We're visiting Hawaii for the first time and saw this in the mall, we looked up the reviews and saw that they were 4.0. Long story short, we left because after sitting for 10 minutes all we had were waters. The waitress passed our table several times and looked at us but never came to take our order. Oh well.

Yelp
Came here for a family reunion and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was decent. It's truly an old school banquet style Chinese restaurant through and through !

Yelp
Food always delicious. Service was good. Plenty of tables. We got there early so there is not wait. It is a good place to have dinner. As we were leaving it started getting crowded. This is a great place to have a nice family meal.

Yelp
On Tuesday, 2/4/25, our group of 16 club members had a luncheon meeting at Jade Dynasty at 10:30a in the private room on the right of the entrance. We were seated at 2 tables. Our preordered meal came out promptly. We were served our water and hot Jasmine tea as we waited. Our first dish that came out was the Jellyfish Chicken Salad. I haven't had jelly fish in a while and it was very good. It was nice and soft, cool, and had the texture of a fungi mushroom, or noodle as my table mates described. The savory flavoring of the jelly fish married well with the Chicken Salad. Up next we had the Prawns with Tea Leaves, Spring Rolls, and Sweet Sour Fish. The Fried Prawns were very flavorful with the Tea Leaves. My friend said that you could eat the Tea Leaves and it was tasty with it. The Spring Rolls were nice and crisp on the outside and the vegetables inside were tasty. I really enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Fish. It was tender and the sauce was flavorful. Next, our Mochi rice was brought to the table along with the Stewed Beef with Look Fun, and the Noodle Dish with Choy Sum and oyster sauce gravy. The Mochi rice was filled with dried scallops, chicken, and mushrooms and the flavors blended well with the other dishes. The Stewed Beef was tender and added to the texture and tastiness of the Look Fun. The Noodles in oyster sauce gravy and Choy sum combined for a perfect bite. Finally, we had the Goji Berry Gelatin for dessert. It was a light and refreshing way to end our meal. Overall, our group had an enjoyable meeting celebrating our Chinese New Year lunch at Jade Dynasty. I will definitely be back for more Jelly fish.

Yelp
We love Jade Dynasty. A few people recommended this place so we definitely had to try it especially as I am from the 626 and I KNOW dim sum. This establishment is located inside a la Moana shopping mall and located right next to Gen Korean BBQ. It is very easy to find. Parking: ample as it is in a la moana Service: typical dim sum place, but they are pretty attentive and their service is usually pretty fast Food: we love the half moon, shrimp and pork dumplings, beef look fun roll. The one we love the most is the snow mountain char siu buns ESPECIALLY when it's super hot and fresh. I can eat like 10 of these!!

Yelp
Always Great place for Any Gatherings We had our Annual Gathering by our Sony Open 2025 ShotLink leader I missed it last year but always enjoyed seeing everyone doing well and enjoying life Here's the Food and some I've never had it before and it was great You definitely need a reservation people are wanting hour before opening and fills up in No Time for second seating wai

Yelp
This is one of da best dim sum spots in town! The ambience is lively and welcoming, making it a great place for both small gatherings and large parties. The food is consistently excellent, with a wide variety of dim sum dishes that never disappoint. We always bring fam or friends here if we want a good overall experience. That said, the quick turnover and fast-paced service can sometimes lead to a bit of messiness, so be mindful of that. If you're particular about cleanliness, just keep an eye out. The wait times can also be long during peak hours, so it's best to visit during off-peak times for a smoother experience. A major plus is the ample parking at Ala Moana Shopping Mall, which makes getting here hassle-free. This is our go-to dim sum spot, and we always look forward to coming back!!

Yelp
When I don't want to go to Chinatown, this is the place I like to go to for dim sum. Always a wait, no matter what time. Went around 11ish and we waited around 20-30mins, not bad considering we just walked in and there was a bunch of people waiting already. Food is great but a bit on the pricier and smaller side. They have different items on the menu that you don't find at a traditional Chinatown dim sum restaurant so we love it for that! No dim sum carts; they give you a paper & pencil to choose which ones you want & cross it out after they deliver it. Service is fast but the restaurant is so big that it might be hard to get water or tea refills if you're not flagging down a worker. Typical dim sum restaurant with old school Chinese decor and semi loud atmosphere. We usually order the har gow, siu mai, deep fried shrimp bean curd roll, pan fried shrimp and chive dumpling, chicken feet, deep fried taro rolls, fried shrimp puff, snowy mountain char siu buns, baked taro buns, deep fried seaweed shrimp roll, & deep fried shrimp dumplings. My husband loves the seaweed rolls, the deep fried shrimp dumplings and siu mai so we order double of those. This is probably one of the only places I've seen have snowy mountain char siu buns. Love the crispy cookie top and sweet char siu filling. The taro buns also have a cookie top. Fillings for all the dumplings are pretty plump and it comes out piping hot. We always love coming here!

Yelp
This is a huge restaurant with lots of seating and excellent service. Dim sum is incredibly generous and tasty. We couldn't finish it all and I left feeling stuffed. While the food is very good, it's the special touches I'm fond of, from the red cushions to the chandelier light fixtures to the professional uniforms and friendly yet speedy service.

Yelp
Thank you, Jade Dynasty for providing us with the lovely VIP private room (all groups were in enclosed rooms this time). The service was so great despite the busy lunch hour! Tea, water, extra utensils and napkins, were replenished upon request. Staff have earpieces and microphones to communicate your requests to their colleagues. Dishes are announced so you know what's being served. Tip: Hot mustard is by request. (A tray with the chili sauce and soy sauce are already set with the serving dishes.) This is our office's return visit to celebrate an early birthday, and is one of our "splurge" venues. We go over our normal lunch budget and share all the leftovers;)! This time, we reordered everything from the first visit, then added the beef chow fun with black bean sauce and the xiao long bao soup dumpling. (I think we just increased our menu to repeat, as everyone enjoyed everything!) Another tip: If they happen to serve the Baked Egg Tart first (your dessert), and it happens to be fresh and hot, enjoy it ASAP without burning your tongue. It is heavenly to enjoy the fresh egg custard, and the layered crust is just so flaky! Yup, it's what we did. PS We even made a new fan out of a last minute invitee, who loved our menu choices!

Yelp
We were referred here from our Uber driver. The establishment was very clean and the staff was really friendly. We were seated promptly and they have a very extensive menu. We ordered steamed buns, sweet and sour pork, beef chow mein, chicken fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. The sweet and sour sauce was some of the best we've ever had. The pork was tender and juicy and the accompanying pineapple and veggies were excellent. The beef chow mein came with pan fried noodles (which was a little different than what we were used to getting), but it was good. The beef was tender and the sauce was pretty neutral. The honey walnut chicken was tasty and big. The steamed buns were tasty also. The star of the show was the chicken fried rice. It was the best that we've ever had. The rice was cooked completely, the veggies and chicken were plentiful and very good. If you're in the area, it's on the 4th floor of the mall, you will not be disappointed with what you order. It was outstanding.

Yelp
Love this place for celebrating events. Wonderful how this place has kept the more classic older designs of a dim sum place. Workers are efficient and attentive. The dim sum is good and portions may be a little smaller than what most are used to. Cant speak on the larger dishes, but the dim sum is worth it even if there's a wait.

Yelp
I recently attended a huge event here and wanted to update my review. This is a great place for a large event, we squeezed 30 tables, max capacity for the restaurant. The food, service and ambiance was so amazing! I enjoyed eating chinese food at a place with lots of free parking as Jade Dynasty is located at Ala Moana shopping center. The menu that we had was: ON THE MENU: Chilled Abalone w/ Garlic Cucumber Pumpkin Seafood Soup Peking Duck w/Bun Crispy Lettuce Wrap w/ Duck Meat Honey Garlic Spare Ribs Steamed Salmon w/ Black Bean Sauce Stir Fried Chinese Yam w/ Pumpkin, Black Fungus & Squash Steamed Rice Mango Pudding Everyone on my table enjoyed every dish and it's the first time most of us had fresh chilled abalone and it was really good. The pumpkin seafood soup was unique, tasty and really good! My favorite was the lettuce wrap with the duck meat, it was very tasty, I also enjoyed the duck bun. We really enjoyed all of the food, there was no bad dish. The restaurant is such a nice place to have a huge event.

Yelp
Food was standard level as all Cantonese restaurants, nothing too fancy but you can trust the quality at any time even never tried. The waiter was very friendly and served us very good. Maybe back for dimsum the next time. Spotted the dragon dance in front of the restaurant as the event was hosting in the lobby.

Yelp
3.7/5 Although everything was served warm and everything tasted good overall, the portion was really small. Only 3 pieces in each plate (typically it's 4). Service: fast paced place. The line never ends so they want you out when you're done. The staff were polite enough Ambiance: I got a table on the "patio" section. It wasn't so crowded.

Yelp
We made a quick stop to eat some dim sum and I'm happy we did! Since it's located in Ala Moana, having free parking is guaranteed. The entrance is grand and the interior is even more grand. High ceiling, many MANY tables, big stage, big screen -- if the restaurant was full with people, I would have been pretty overwhelmed lol. But it definitely feels like you're in Hong Kong or Shanghai with the ambience inside. Service is quick and attentive. I really enjoyed it and I'm excited to go back. However, keep in mind that the price is on the higher side since it is located inside Ala Moana. But still worth a try!

Yelp
All I can say is very busy.. staff is efficient. Need more menus on the table. But once you make You selections food does come out very quickly. Garlic honey ribs were dry but sauce is good. Other than that everything was good. Pork and shrimp dumpling were missing something. Crispy noodles were great.

Yelp
From appetizer, soup, main dishes to dessert, food was pretty good. Service of the food came out in good order as the restaurant was fully booked. Typical Chinese restaurant, it was noisy with many voices chit chatting, but it brings back memories of the old days.

Yelp
We were starving after a day spent mostly at Queens. We walked over from the Ala Moana hotel and chowed down.. Missed their dim sum but ordered from their regular menu and everything was great. Definitely going back. Check them out.

It was busy on a Sunday afternoon at noon. Don't go after 1 pm, dimsum is usually fresh as close to noon as possible. They said the wait was 20 to 25 minutes and I set an alarm for 15 minutes. I came back by 20 and they already called my number. They were super sweet and seated us in 5 minutes. They had these nice dark heavy brocade type tablecloths on each table, not the paper or plastic ones. It really made the place look nice with all the lights. We were seated at a table for two, the chili oil was missing its spoon and the one condiment dish was dirty. The soy sauce dispenser had a ring of soy sauce under it. Less one star because that really makes a difference. Wait staff resetting tables should watch for that and they should replace it when needed. Other places will bring soy sauce and or chili oil when requested or when you are seated and it seems much classier when they do. Of course I had to check the other tables and some had nice metal condiment trays all intact and some did not. It's the little details that make a difference. The dimsum menu did not have a check off box for Peking duck otherwise I would have checked it. I could have asked but I forgot. There were lots of hardworking busboys, waitresses and servers. I asked the wrong bus boy for leftover containers. I saw one getting containers for another table and stopped him and he was quick to get them for us. The tea and ice water came quickly. The dimsum was good. The shrimp roll wasn't super hot and fresh like it is when it comes out of a dimsum cart. I'm part of the generation that's use to steaming hot dimsum off carts and they carry scissors to cut everything in half for you. Overall, Good experience & Good dim sum. I would come back.

Yelp
Came here many times. Every time we have come...its the same...after your first round of ordering Dim Sum, whenever you try and order anything else, they tell you...you order too much food, its going to take very long to cook another order of whatever you want...etc. Basically....they want you to go in, order some dishes, eat and get out as quickly as you can. No second rounds. After the first server tells you that...and if you insist on still ordering, they send in reinforcements and more people come by saying...going to take an hour to make another order of Char Siu Bao? Really? So no one else in the restaurant is ordering this and it is made to order? Prices are expensive also...at almost $7 for each dim sum dish....save your money and head elsewhere.

Yelp
I haven't really had any dim sum on Oahu, and this spot was pretty good. I like how it's located at the Ala Moana mall, so need to trek over to Chinatown and figure out the parking situation. There was a line about 10 minutes prior to opening, but as soon as doors opened, it went fast and we were promptly seated. The inside was nice and spacious, and already packed just a few minutes after opening. We tried a decent variety of dim sum, and I thought it was all tasty, fresh, not too salty or oily. I usually don't crave dim sum in Honolulu because I can get it anytime in Vegas or in SoCal, but next time I do, I know where to go.

Yelp
Lunchtime on a Sunday - Although we had around a 40 minute wait, it was worth it. I was craving their snow covered charsiu bao and since we were at Ala Moana, I was able to satisfy it. The airy fluffiness of the bun combined with the sweetness of the charsiu meat is a treat to my taste buds. Another favorite of our family is their string bean with minced pork. The green beans still have a crunch and is the star of this dish. I wish I could try their ham har chicken (it is made with shrimp paste) since my family swears that it's another must have dish. Service is on point. The workers are constantly checking to see if everything is good and our water was filled constantly. I am not sure why the rating is not higher on Yelp; however, I love coming here for some dim sum and more.

Yelp
Went to Jade Dynasty for lunch with the grandkids.......yummy...the service was excellent even tho it was busy, busy, busy. Very noisy, but typical for a Chinese restaurant. We ordered several dim sum and our favorite Crispy Noodles with pork and bean sprouts. We also ordered manapua, shrimp dumplings and several others (i have pictures. ). We like to eat there, when we are able to get a table that

Yelp
Overall experience was a 3/5 s! Jade Dynasty is the first Dim Sum place I've been to in Hawaii, and it's a great spot if you're in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The service I would say was good, but definitely could've been a bit better. The waitresses would very often give the wrong orders to the wrong parties (we had two parties with us), and whenever we asked for sauces, we never actually received them. During the time that we went (~1:30 pm), it was definitely busy but after about 1 hour, the commotion simmered and it became more of a quiet/calm vibe. We had the pork buns, Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Shumai, & Deep Fried Mochi Balls. Out of all of them, the Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings were definitely my favorite! The crunch to them were PERFECT and once you start, it's hard to stop (we ordered these twice). The Pork Buns were a bit dry, but they're good to start with and share among two people. The Shumai was my sister's favorite and is definitely could be a solo plate if you want it to. The Mochi Balls were actually pretty large in size (twice the size I'm usually used to), so I only ate one this time around, but I stood by my usual routine and ended my Dim Sum experience with it!

Yelp
Classy upscale dim sum at affordable prices. Many items are quality with large chunks of shrimp. Hard pressed to find quality and affordable in Honolulu

Yelp
This place has great dim sum. Their service is faster than your typical cart dim sum as the waiters here are pretty much carrying everything and will go straight to your table once you order it. One of the staff was friendly enough to talk story with our family and say how blessed we are to have as much kids we have and to have help, too. Again, food is good here. You will find your self ordering more than you need to as the portions are decent sized. The only issue I had was that it is a large space but it is so packed. It's overstimulating especially if you have little children. The walkways are narrow so it's hard to get around and the partitions that separate some of the tables are so wobbly I had to catch it before it fell down a couple times.

Yelp
It was Sunday, so really busy but service was quick! All foods are very delicious It's spacious and can accommodate a lot of people, so it's little noisy.

Yelp
We had our wedding rehearsal lunch here. Making reservations was easy and we picked our food selections from a pre-made menu. The service was fast and the food was so good! It can get a bit noisy in the restaurant but our party was still able to speak to one another. We can't wait to go back to try their dim sum.

Yelp
We chose this spot specifically for Chinese food and appreciated the convenience of walking in without reservations. While seating was a bit tight--it was hard to move around with a chair directly behind me--it's a great option if you need space for a large group of around 20 people. The food was excellent, as Chinese cuisine always delivers, and I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. I'd definitely return to try their dim sum!

Yelp
The decor at Jade Dynasty tells me it has hosted its fair share of wedding banquets. The many tables, meant for large groups, could certainly accommodate such a crowd. Of the numerous dim sum items we ordered, Baked Taro Buns ($5.95), Deep-Fried Mochi Balls ($5.75), Baked Custard Tarts ($5.50), Shrimp Look Fun Roll ($7.75), & Deep-Fried Taro Puffs ($5.95) were comparable to our favorite spots back home. However, we felt we've had better Chicken Wings ($12.75) as it had no seasoning, Honey Glazed BBQ Pork ($18.95), & Lobster Fried with Toasted Garlic ($60 market price.) I would also skip Mochi Rice ($6.75, their version of Lotus Wrapped Sticky Rice) & Pan Fried Turnip Cake ($6.25) next time. Though not everything we tried was a repeater, Jade Dynasty has a plethora of options between their dim sum & main menus so there's plenty left for us to try, at reasonable prices, to boot. My group ordered a feast, plates came out fast & furious. At times, we wished we could've paused service the way you can at Brazilian steakhouses!

Yelp
So many people come here for dim sum because it's so convenient! It's located on the 4th floor of Ala Moana shopping center, right next to Macaroni Grill! It opens at 10:30am daily and there is always a long line! Best to make RSVP because it can be a 45 minute wait time! Be sure to make RSVP on the weekends: 10:30 or 12:30pm. If you are ordering roast or Peking Duck, it is better to make a 12:30pm RSVP cause the ducks are not served until after 11:30am. There is alot of staff to sit and serve you! You are given a menu handout with pictures and prices to make it easier to order. However, check to see if any of your choices are "X" out which means, no longer available. The server doesn't always tell you and it is hard to tell on those white order slips? Best to ask or you might be waiting for something that will never come!!! How disappointing! Prices are high and portions are small. See pictures of the custard tarts and seafood dumpling soup!
