My mom picked up food for dinner, and I found a piece of metal in my sesame chicken. 2/4 of us got food poisoning/ stomach issues from both the vegetable lo mein and shrimp lo mein. We ordered on 12/18, will not be eating here ever again.

First time ordering from here! EVERY item was absolutely delicious. We got pepper steak, beef and brocc, chicken lo mein, and egg drop. It is RARE every dish you get from a Chinese restaurant is good but, this place changes that! Definitely will be back!

I ordered chicken and broccoli, shrimp egg rolls, and vegetable lo mein for take out. My order was ready when I arrived. The food was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and crispy and the chicken & broccoli sauce was flavorful and there was plenty to put over my white rice. This is one of my new Chinese spots!

Love the family feel, great food, and great service!!! Wish I had a few more employees like this! Lol they are welcoming helpful and FAST. 3 things can make or break a location. GOOD FOOD, GOOD TIMES, and GOOD SERVICE. They have it all!!!

Worst Chinese I've ever had. The food looks horrible with a disgusting fake red color.

Shrimp Fried Rice...not it. Normally get from another spot where it tastes better and more ingredients but they were closed. Will not be returning.

Food is always great. I always get the Singapore Mei Fun and it’s always quality. But I don’t understand how anybody complains. Especially saying how one experience is worse than before? I don’t understand how you live in a world where your standard of quality is perfection. No restaurant will ever be perfect and replicate perfection every time. You have to understand that. Giving a place one star is insane because of one bad night. Maybe back to back to back bad times is understandable but not once. Keep giving food places a chance and just stay positive. Remember that food service workers are human too. We make mistakes and aren’t always perfect.

Food was very good and servings were very full! It was great that when we ordered online it was ready in under 15 minutes and it was packed to the brim! Even got free spring rolls since we spent over $20.

We are a Jade Garden family. We have been coming here for decades. This family run. Hines's restaurant never disappoints.

The nicest family and the absolute BEST Chinese. Love them! Will continue to visit this location for all of our cravings for many moons to come. The food is always piping hot, fresh, and has delicious flavor. Love them!

If you want something quick and to go only. Food is not bad but good for carry out. Sit in has plastic plates /utensils and no service. Pick up at counter.

This place turned out to be pretty good. I tried it because it was close to my house, and I was quite surprised by the prices. They have a lunch special for less than $7 and a dinner special for less than $10. Their house lemonade, ice tea, or mixed tea & lemonade were only 1.75 for a 32 oz cup. I cannot say I am a Chinese food professional connoisseur, but I do love food and the shrimp with vegetables were good. They were not over cooked and the shrimp were huge. The rice and egg roll were also good.

Always good hot and fresh Easy to order. I like how they give you a number for your order...but sometimes I will still forget number..lol

So, I recently read about how some of the best Chinese restaurants Gavin a sweet spot rating at 3.5, I went with that guidance in mind when choosing Jade Garden. I have tried 4-5 star and have not been impressed at all. I cannot give a rating in accordance with what I read because I don't feel it does justice. I don't care about dining in or decor, I picked up my food. The food was great!!! Not one complaint. The order was taken quickly, was correct and ready in 15 mins. I sampled each item ordered and they all tasted great. I have enough for lunch tomorrow and cannot wait!

Discovered them during pandemic. They are great!!!! I'm love with the chicken wings and I've tried fried dumplings, beef and broccoli, boneless spareribs, and the shrimp fried rice so far.....ALL AMAZING!! Price is fair compared to other Chinese places and the food is worth it! I am a repeat customer now

I can only comment on their food since a co-worker and I had our food delivered. I found it convenient we could place our order online - this allowed us to better "focus" on our work the other day. My co-worker ordered for both of us - she had some sort of chicken dish and I had the small roast pork lo mein. It arrived at our office maybe 30 minutes after ordering, so kudos there. My lo mein came in a small container - $4.95 for just lo mein without rice. A Chinese spot I frequent near my home offers the same dish, but for $5.95 it's a bigger portion with rice AND an egg roll. By comparison, Jade Garden is overpriced. Their lo mein is decent, and I was happy it wasn't slimy. I've had lo mein cooked with too much soy sauce, and if they don't render it enough the noodles will have a slimy consistency. Theirs wasn't but it was almost dry and came with more vegetables than roast pork. Overall, JG isn't bad but it's not great, either. Their price points are higher than I'd like but overall they're not a bad option. JV

Their food is good most of the time, but the fried rice is never fully cooked and their lunch special shrimp with broccoli is made with baby shrimp, and it's not worth the price. The menu redoes not indicate that the shrimp are baby shrimp.

Ordered some take online. Got the combination shrimp lo mein with pork fried rice, order of chicken wings and egg drop soup. Food was ready when I arrived even though I was a little earlier than the time I selected online

Tried for the first time today! Delicious...light...non greasy or heavy. Szechuan Chicken- Fresh meat and veggies. Yummy Wonton Soup. Chicken Wings with General Two's sauce finger licking good.

I was hoping this place would be my go to Chinese spot as it's close to work. But...I think I'm going to keep looking. The food wasn't bad but it also wasn't great. The highlight was the egg rolls. They were nice and crispy and that's exactly how I like them. I ordered Gnerals Tso a standard and staple Chinese dish. I wish the chicken would have been crispier and the flavor was just ok. I waited inside of the restaurant for my food and there were a few people to come and go so I took that as a good sign. The lady at the counter was nice and pleasant while taking my order and I would probably go back if I had a craving for Chinese and was on a time crunch. However, for the time being my search for a above sub par Chinese restaurant continues.

I have never had bad food or experience with this restaurant. My food is always hot and correct and great! My sister discovered this place and now much whole family loves it too!

STAY AWAY! DO NOT ORDER PERIOD FROM THIS PLACE WORKERS ARE VERY RUDE! We had ordered waited over 30 mins , paid for it and everything just for the driver to leave after we said hold on. We call which by the way is hard to get through, he argues with my husband lying saying how he came back and even opened our door no one was there. How guy? How? Im pregnant and have been craving food how the hell do you think that ill allow chinese food to be missed are you shitting me? Fuck this place man

These guys are a great place for take-out dinners... we have not dined in, but the food I have brought home has always been delicious! Their prices are awesome for how much food you get, and they're fast and friendly! We did the family-style dinner and had more than enough to go around plus leftovers for the next day! So far, we have just stopped in once, but we'll be back for more and another review soon!

I always go to this location during lunch break from work and their Chinese food never disappoints! They definitely have the best fried rice from a Chinese takeout spot in the area and have fast service whenever I place my pickup or delivery order. Will be coming back again!

Best hot and sour soup I've had in a long time something so simple could be so GOOOOOD !

My Braid Specialist shared this restaurant with me and I must say that they don't disappoint. I've been twice since a couple weeks ago and my order is always fresh and delicious. My Family Lived their choices of menu items as well. The Crab Rangoon is so delicious, I Love that it has a more triangle shape. The Shrimp Eggrolls are Crispy and delicious as well. 5 for surr

I love eating at this place accept they're way over priced and the workers are hella rude...I get my food delivered all the time now they try and tell me we don't deliver that far since when...I won't be back to this place I'm cool I'll find a new Chinese food spot to eat at where the food is equally good and the people are much nicer...CUSTOMER LOST AND WILL NEVER RETURN I WILL ALSO TELL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE Update:I WILL NEVER BE BACK/ORDER DELIVERY EVER AGAIN...my I ordered the lunch lo mein and chicken wings my chicken was soggy due to moisture and I had more white rice then lo mein and no utensils to eat with

Whatever you do, DO NOT order General Tso's chicken. It was mushy and bland with no broccoli and had this weird sauce on it. Not the reddish spicy sauce that General Tso's usually has, but a clear sweet sauce with some red pepper flakes and 2 dried peppers thrown in. The pork fried rice wasn't good either. It had way too much soy sauce.

It was alright. I had banned this place a couple of years ago because of a very rude encounter with the woman who answered the phone when our delivery order was incorrect. She basically told me I was lying about my missing dinner. Fast forward to yesterday...I went into the restaurant and ordered. While I was waiting I heard the same woman on the phone with a customer who didn't receive something they ordered. I was shocked to hear her apologizing! Guess they got the hint about being rude to customers. The food was good, I had the chicken & broccoli. I would suggest to go in and order verses having it delivered.

Was really good. The best takeout Chinese I've had in the greenbrier area. Definitely recommended!

I travel a lot and almost always order tso's delivery. The chicken/rice/egg roll were all amazing. I got the doughnut ball things and they were ok, I wish they had more sugar but that could be the munchies talking.

Very nasty , rude people working there. Ordered online . Almost two hours went past so I called to find out about order and decided to cancel my order. I was yelled at by a rude female employee with a horrible attitude and told by her not to order delivery or food from them again several times. I told her don't worry I won't. Poor customer service with a side of arrogance!!!!!!! I have never cancelled an order from them at any time over the last year that I've ordered from them. Never will I spend money at their restaurant again. Customer service is important to me and clearly the female employee needs training in this area.

I am not a fan of Chinese food but my niece and nephew are visiting. They begged for sweet and sour chicken and I was driving past and saw this restaurant. They owner was very kind and the food was prepared fairly quick (waited 15-20 minutes). For two orders of S&S chicken, it was $22. This was because they wanted noodles instead of rice. The food was fresh and hot. I recommend you grab packs of soy sauce, fortune cookies, and condiments because they do not put them in your bag. Get plenty before you leave, FYI. The kids loved the food and I would take them back here again.

Surprised to find a decent Chinese place in chesapeake. Very reasonable pricing, especially during the lunch hours. My favorites have been the crab ragoons and general tso's chicken. Will be coming back

Got the butter pepper shrimp. It's battered, which I didn't expect. Maybe "butter" was a typo for "batter." It was so delicious and plenty to make into two meals. Wasn't very peppery for me. Came with bits of chopped onion and pepper (ah, that's where the pepper comes from). Food is piping hot.

Food sucks. Chicken is dry and has a weird taste. Rice is hard and taste old. The egg roll def taste frozen. I'm 3 miles away from this place and they say that they don't deliver here but yet didn't bother calling to tell us. Dude just had a nasty attitude when the food was dropped off. So needless to say I will never order from here again. I shall go to my safe place in the fetal position feeling sick from this food.

I am an avid chinese food consumer. I discovered this restaurant by accident. Boy am I glad it is the best Chinese food I have had since college.(my roomates parents owned Blue Hawaii in Hampton). Good portioning phenomenal quality and excellent prices...

This place is awesome! I went in during lunch time so it did take a while for them to make my food which isn't a big deal at all because of what I saw when I got my bag. I didn't realize this place gives you more food than what you pay for when it comes to lunch . I've never had so many crab ragoons in a bag and the trays are filled with food. I'm very impressed , I had so much food that I'm actually able to get two servings out of it and share with my boyfriend. I will definitely come back

I love Jade Garden. The tofu w/mixed veggies is out of this world. I wish I could replicate their tofu, but no such luck. It's amazing! They also have good vegetable dumplings. The service is exceptional....I think it's the owner who always comes to check on us. J. Biz orders chicken lo mein every single time he eats Chinese, but this tops the charts. Surprise! It's in a strip mall on Battlefield. Interestingly, it's right next to a massage place with a similar name; not sure if it's the same owner. I haven't ventured next door, but if the massage is anything like the food, maybe I should.

Coming here was an odd experience. I thought it was a sit down "authentic" chinese restaurant, but the menu was just plain chinese american with better decor. I really wasn't interested in mudbutt american chinese food, so I just ordered some steamed dumplings. It was no good. I'm not sure what the funky taste was, but it was tough to down 'em. The dough was pinched so that it was 50% dough, and even the dough wasn't cooked completely. Yuck.

I ordered delivery through their online website which was very easy to use. My order showed up at my door hot and delicious. I ordered fried rice with chicken, pork and shrimp in it. I was pleasantly surprised that it had bean sprouts (which I love) in it. I also got crab ragoon and spring rolls that were also delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here next time I have a craving for Chinese food.

Extremely nice staff, well price food, however the General Tso chicken was tasteless & very bland.

Very dissatisfied with my take out order. You don't get your money's worth. We used to visit quite often but won't be back.
