The Best Restaurants in New Cross | Where to Eat in SE14 - Eater London

"Jade’s Jerk has become a south east London institution over the years, particularly well-loved for its competitively priced Caribbean food and warm, friendly service. The restaurant’s jerk pork is certainly of note, both well cooked and generously seasoned, but the fried fish, chickpea stew, patties, and mutton soup are what really set Jade’s Jerk apart from the local competition." - Jonathan Hatchman

We been there for jerk chicken and we choose the chicken curry! Taste was perfect. Thanks a lot guys - we came hungry and it was good experience to be there.

Really bad"jerk"if you can call it that. It's not jerk chicken but some chicken drowned in a sweetish chemical taste sauce. Never again

Really lovely food full of flavours and friendly service. Jade made sure that we were happy with the food and let's us try everything before with no pressure to buy after. As I was taking my friend to try Caribbean food for the first time for her birthday! Highly recommend :D

This business has been here for years and I am glad they still going dtrong. The quality of food has not diminished in any way. The food is absolutely tasty and a delight to the taste buds. The entrance is wheel chair accessible and the staff are incredibly helpful as well as knowledgeable about the food the prepare and what flavours go well together.

The shop is under new management It's now called Reet Eats. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. This is the kind of attitude we need in all West Indian take away shops, I'm sick of the sour face's servings food from behind the counter. Loool Well the food was gorgeous stew chicken, rice and peas. and Steam veg. fried Dumplin ,coleslaw ,Bloody yum PLEASE GO SUPPORT.

Jade’s food is great, such a great bargain, kitchen is tidy and clean. So don’t listen to Mario’s review, from the photo he didn’t even get jerk, looks like something else on offer, stew chicken maybe? Today’s plate of jerk pork (amazing!), r&p, some plantin and callaloo was really great. All nicely cooked and seasoned. The thing you absolutely cannot miss is the Bombay potatoes. It’s just excellent. To cap it all, Jade is friendly and happy to have a little chat. I’ve only been twice after a local recommended the pork (did I mention that it’s great?!) but I’m sure to be a regular now. My new favourite Carribean joint in SE London. Cheers Jade, x Skully

Attracted to this restaurant due to the ‘buffet’ claim. Not your conventional buffet, very misleading, but legally correct. The food was not worth the cost, there is a smokey jerk opposite the Five Bells pub.
