"In Kensington, Jaew Thai Cuisine is a bright green restaurant with Thai food. They have a pretty long menu, with several variations of tom yum, tom jerd, and tom kha as well as the usual noodles and curries." - will hartman, bryan kim

As someone who has travelled extensively to Thailand purely for the love of their food, I can confidently say that this Thai restaurant is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors. For me, Thai cuisine is all about the balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy, and this place delivers on every level. And the best part? It’s incredibly family-friendly, especially for those with toddlers who can’t handle spicy food. Pineapple Fried Rice is a must-try. It’s a perfect harmony of sweet pineapple, savory rice. My kids absolutely loved it. Highly recommend Chive Cakes. The crispy exterior paired with the soft, flavorful interior is a texture and taste sensation. I’ve never seen this dish anywhere else, and it’s something you cannot miss. The Green Curry is another standout dish. It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced—not too spicy, but with just enough kick to satisfy those who enjoy a bit of heat.My daughter, who’s usually hesitant about curries, couldn’t get enough of the Beef Pad. It’s packed with layers of flavor, from the tender beef to the vibrant vegetables, and it’s now her go-to dish whenever we visit. What truly sets this restaurant apart is how accommodating it is for families with young children. The Crispy Chicken Wings, cut in half for easy eating, making them an ideal finger food for little ones.*The Little Bear Dessert* was so delicious ! It was the highlight of the meal for my girls. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or just looking for a great meal with your family to make your kids smiles, this restaurant will not disappoint.

I went there for lunch. I had a great time. The ambiance was perfect. The food was delicious. I had calamari for appetizer. It was the best calamari I tried so far. I liked it very much. I had the beef panang curry. The curry was pretty good but the beef was a little bit overcooked. The Tom Yum soup was flavorful. I had classic mango sticky rice for dessert. It exceeded my expectation. The mango was so fresh and the sticky rice was so delicious. The service was great as well. I will definitely return.

I came to Jaew Thai Cuisine with my family for dinner and had an amazing experience! The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. I was so pleased with their service! The atmosphere was also great. Very warm and relaxing. A perfect place to enjoy a meal with some friends, family, or even by yourself. I ordered the chive cakes, crispy basil shrimp, thai house pork ribs, and vegetable green curry. They were all so delicious, flavorful, and plated so beautifully! I would definitely recommend these dishes to anyone that comes here. I also ordered the strawberry milkshake which was refreshing and didn’t taste artificial or too sweet like some other places. I’m excited to come back again to try more!

My family and I went here today for lunch and everything was delicious. Servers were very friendly. I’m not sure if the owners changed but I’m loving the newly decorated and spacious interior. We had calamari, crab rangoon, red curry, fried rice, drunken noodles, Thai tea and coconut mango frosty. Everything was fresh, delicious and full of flavor! Red curry had a kick of spice that I loved. Already thinking of going back soon.

Jaew Thai Cuisine is an absolute gem and a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The Thai tea is rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. We requested a milder spice level for the drunken noodles, and they were perfectly balanced—just the right amount of heat without overwhelming the palate. The calamari was crispy, tender, and paired with a tasty dipping sauce, while the classic phad Thai was everything you’d hope for—sweet, savory, and comforting. It was our first time ordering the massaman curry with beef, and we're so happy that we did because it was incredibly flavorful, perfectly paired with jasmine rice. Additionally, the coconut soup was refreshing, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. Honestly, everything we ordered was exceptional, and we can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. If you’re looking for flavorful dishes and excellent hospitality, this place is a definite 10/10. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved Thai Farm Kitchen and was saddened to see them close, so when I saw this new restaurant, I stopped in to try them out. I was so pleased to find out that the wonderful staff from Thai Farm Kitchen is now working here. I instantly knew that I was going to get the same kind of service and delicious food as before. And as expected, everything I ordered was wonderful, including the complimentary mango mousse. The prices here are basically the same, and it looks like they changed up the menu a bit. Also, it looks like they don't serve alcohol for those interested. The restaurant itself is clean and beautiful. I definitely recommend checking this new place out, and I will be sure to stop in again in the near future. I wish the new owners the best of luck!

I typically don’t love Thai food, but this place really made me question myself! The food was amazing (recommended: drunken noodles, calamari) and there wasn’t one thing that I didn’t enjoy. The ambience is wonderful and service was great; our cups were never empty. Every dish had a great flavor and I definitely recommend this restaurant.

New Thai restaurant opened in Brooklyn Thai Farm Kitchen closed, and Jaew Thai Cuisine opened up on the same location this week in Kensington, Brooklyn, NYC. They did some minor renovations lending towards larger groups, brighter colors, and more of an open space. 10% off during their soft open. Had the chicken pad Thai, chicken green curry, and duck spring rolls. We enjoyed the food, but didn't love it. Felt like it was tailored towards non Thai eaters and a bit bland for our spiced up tastes. Staff was very friendly and spot on. Our glasses were never empty. They gave us a complimentary dessert. They've got a digital wait list when you walk in and a loyalty program. The credit card fee is 4%. 2 blocks from the subway and in front of a bus stop. We will try again later this month at lunch, trying their lunch specials.
