Jagdhaus Waldfrieden - Siegmund Baierle

We had dinner at Jagdhaus Waldfrieden – Siegmund Baierle and really enjoyed it. The place has a nice, rustic atmosphere and feels very welcoming. Our waiter, Tanja, was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We had the tomato salad and the lamb — both were delicious and beautifully prepared. The lamb was juicy and perfectly cooked, served with gnocchi, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes — a great combination of flavors. Overall, a lovely dining experience. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!

Beautiful hotel surrounded by a little forest, with super friendly staff. We enjoyed staying here with our dog, he even got a towel to clean the paws, bowls and a little food present. The forest was ideal for a short walk. The building is just magical and we were lucky to have a bit of snow the next morning. The bed was really comfortable and the room cozy, but big enough. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great. Can only recommend this hotel!

We had a Birthday lunch here for Grandpa. Lovely place but it is apparent that they have a new Chef, the food was not as good as we remembered it from years of coming here with our family. Also there is a service issue, they had new personnel which was not as well trained. The place was always old-fashioned but the food was absolutely excellent just not this time for all of us 8 people visiting. So, not sure if we return for the nx birthday lunch

A very nice, quiet and comfortable small hotel North of Hamburg.||||I stayed there on a recent business trip in the region north of Hamburg. It’s a very nice and comfortable small hotel in a quiet location. The welcome was very kind. I got a room to the woods. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, however, for a business traveler, the working space could be larger and have more connectors. Wifi internet access is included in the rate and working well.||||I was told that the restaurant is very well renowned and I deeply regret that I arrived too late on Sunday night and that the restaurant was closed also on Monday at noon. Will report on a next stay.||||The rate is very competitive, give the fact that you are staying 20 Minutes from the Hamburg airport with easy access to Hamburg’s north-west suburbs.

We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel located in a relaxing forrest environment, away from the buzz of the city yet still close enough to get you anywhere within about half an hour. |We enjoyed our nicely decorated room and the breakfast with carefully selected quality products. Next time we hope to have the opportunity to have dinner in the restaurant that looks quite promising.|Lovely place with looks right out of a fairy tale and excellent service.

Happened to stay 3 nights in this place, for a job in the neighbourhood. I was porsitiviely surprised. Huge and charming room in a hunting house in the middle of the north-german country. The personal is very helpful and pleasant. You can park your car in front of your room and the restaurant offers excellent dinner.||Wifi is for free and works well. During the spare time I went jogging on the countryside.||On Mondays evening the restaurant is closed but you can have some Flamekueche, it is coming from the freezer, but it makes its job.

Beautifull setting and rooms, small romantic hotel in a forest and a private garden, only 2 floorrs, excellent bright rooms, excellent beds with white crisp sheets, sitting area, tv, functional toilets, very quiet area, garden bar in a beautiful setting as is the restaurant, excellent food and wine, breakfast is extremely well prepared and presented and the staff are very passionate and service minded and truly like their job. I will come back

During the last 17 years we have been coming to this lovely hotel 1 to 3 times a year and it has always been good and we have always felt welcome, this time however things have been a little different. Some of the staff are new but normally when new staff starts to work here they are very friendly. We have not felt welcome this time and that is sad. We were not served by any of the old staff this time, probably because it is the busy seanson, when we did meet them they were very kind as usual, this is not however thw case with the new staff. From the waiter at breakfast that made us sit at a table that was reserved for someone then to find out that the couple that was ment to sit there came in looking for the table and it was clear that the other waiter there thought it our fault, to the cleaning lady that thought it right to tell us off for letting our adult son (almost 20 years old) share a room with our 11 year old son, because boys are just kids. We asked her if there was any problems (mind you, we had a room just above theirs and the only time they were in their room was when they were relaxing or sleeping) but she said that there wasn't a problem, they we not noisy or anything she just had boys herself and did not think it right to have a room by themself and she thought we ought to look after them. It was very insulting. We have been staying at this hotel so many times, and many other hotels as well when on vacation and since the kids have grown older they gradually got to have their own room close to ours of course and it has never been a problem. The whole thing was very unsettling and I thought about leaving before time and finding another hotel but we have decided to give them a another chance, it can be that the staff is just new. It's only been three months since we were here last and at that time everything was perfect as always, and I so hope it will be again.
