For the main course, choices are grilled octopus with quinoa salad or lomo saltado, a dish of beef tenderloin, fried egg, potato, tomatoes, onion, and sillao sauce rice. I went to Jaguar a few weekends ago with some girlfriends for a girls' night out. The food was good (for the most part), but we weren't fans of the drinks. Here's what we tried: a spicy margarita (which we sent back because it was way too sweet), a passion fruit margarita (5/10), two passion fruit mojitos, and a Paloma Sour (in my opinion, the only decent drink). That said, the service was absolutely spectacular. Our server was incredibly kind and made sure to ask for feedback so they could improve anything we didn't like. For food, we ordered: the Ceviche Vuelve a la Vida (AMAZING), the Peruvian ceviche, and the fried calamari, which we all agreed was the best dish--so much so that we ordered another round! The queso fundido was also very tasty. Two dishes we didn't love: the fish croquettes (which were more like fish meatballs ) and the steak tacos. They weren't bad, just unremarkable. At the end of the meal, our server graciously gifted us a tres leches dessert, which we all fought over--it was hands down the star of the night and one of the best we've ever had! In conclusion, l'd consider going back for the food, but the drinks definitely need improvement. It's not the best spot for a ladies' night out.

Google
Happened to walk by this restaurant as we were searching for a place to eat in Coconut Grove close to our hotel at Courtyard Marriot. We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman outside who quickly walked us through the menu and answered our questions. We decided to walk in for a lunchtime sitting. The place was very clean and the menu clearly explained all the different Latin dishes. Our server was extremely professional and knew all the dishes on the menu and made some really good recommendations. All in all thoroughly enjoyed the food and service and would recommend this restaurant.

Google
Everything was a 10/10 I definitely recommend especially for tourists who might be concerned about sitting outside to catch a great view of the scenery. There are multiple servers and even the owners outside standing close by at all times making sure you feel safe comfortable and welcomed . The waitress we met was so nice and she was funny and just a vibe I came here to try a new dish, I was very skeptical about but when I tried it I feel in love with it instantly come here if you want to try new food and have a nice time enjoying your food while gettin the guaranteed help and treatment you deserve.

Google
Jaguar is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. I’ve been there over five times, and every visit has been consistently amazing, both in service and in food. Every single dish I’ve tried has been an absolute banger. The flavors are fresh, vibrant, and totally unforgettable. And don’t even get me started on the desserts, they’re SO delicious and unique. But what really sets Jaguar apart for me is the service. Let’s be real, Miami isn’t exactly famous for great service. But Jaguar breaks that mold every time. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure we’re taken care of. We’re never left waiting long for a refill or a check-in. If you're looking for a spot that delivers incredible food, top-notch service, and a consistently great experience, Jaguar is 100% worth your time and money. Highly recommend!

Google
Love it here!!! I’ve been coming for about 2.5 years now and I am always taken care of so well. The managers Paul and Jorge are amazing and really make sure you have a good experience. Calamari is always a hit and the steak tacos are to die for. Sangria is a MUST!!! Best red sangria in all of coconut grove!! Do not hesitate to come here!

Google
Been coming here for years. It's nice to see that this place has lasting power. Incredible small selection of menu items, but all are sure to please the most discriminating pallet. Generous Happy Hour with longer hours than most. Nice weekly lunch specials; all different. Looking forward to many more visits in the years to come. Bravo!

Google
If you’re a ceviche lover, this spot in Coconut Grove is a must. We tried three different ceviches, each one packed with flavor and unbelievably fresh. The ceviche tostadas were the perfect start: crisp, tangy, and full of texture. The guacamole and chips were super fresh and creamy, you can tell it’s made to order. And the ceviche tiradito? A standout. Silky slices of fish with just the right balance of acidity and heat. Great vibe, great service, and everything was incredibly fresh. Can’t wait to come back and try more, when you go tell them Flavia Sent You!🐟🍋🌿🥑

Google
Excellent food with large portions. The grilled fish tacos had a full filet of Mahi Mahi in each taco! Cerviche is a must. Unique dessert options...whole desserts or you can order a large spoonful of any dessert for $2. We had dinner for four and everyone loved it. We are planning on having dinner for 15 there very soon.

Yelp
This place is absolutely stunning! I don't mean just the place itself, but the food as well! I visited this place twice this week, when I first saw this place I told myself "This place seems like it's super expensive". Well let me tell you, I was wrong. The items on the menu are perfectly priced. Both times we visited we went during happy hour times. Drinks are good , well priced between $5-9 depending on what you decide to get. And all the apps that are on the happy hour menu go for $8. Their food is EXTREMELY flavorful & their cocktails as well. From the happy hour menu we ordered 3 things , and not one of them disappointed me . This is my new spot ! Can't wait to go back

Yelp
Feel like having a good laugh? Every time my wife and I ordered the LARGE Steak Quesadilla ($27) we noticed we only got 4 very tiny slices. We thought they kept giving us the SMALL Steak Quesadilla by mistake. So one day, we decided to order the SMALL Steak Quesadilla which was $21, just to see what they would give us. We picked up our order and when we got home and opened that container we must have laughed for 15 minutes straight. Just look at the picture. We even placed a dollar for a size comparison. I think the laugh was worth the $21. Normally, this place is great but I don't know what the heck happened with this menu item.

Yelp
Requested outdoor seating for lunch last week on Monday. It was not overly full indoors or out. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was fresh and tasty and the ambiance nice and breezy due to the overlapping canopies outdoors which was nice :) The restroom was well kept and clean and the indoor decor was rustic and welcoming. Next time I'd like to go for dinner and request indoor seating.

Yelp
I must've walked past this place hundreds of times and I wish I had walked in sooner! The interior is much larger than you'd expect from the outside and super cool decor too. Menu is expansive and creative - we had brunch and enjoyed everything - definitely will return to try more menu items - recommend checking it out

Yelp
What took me so long to try Jaguar?! Jaguar is a spot near Cocowalk that celebrates LATAM cuisine. The menu pays tribute to Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and more. I had some of the best ceviche ever, along with excellent guacamole that was so fresh, and generously portioned mahi tacos. If Chef Oscar is there, just get what he tells you to try!

Yelp
Happy hour or dinner at this place is always a hit! Cute interior and great food and drinks. The service always has a smile on their faces. Love this classic Miami spot :)

Yelp
I haven't been here in years.... sad that the ceviche spoon appetizer is no longer a thing. But the food was just as good as I remember. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating... even though we asked to switch tables, twice. Super attentive with food allergies and ensuring we had a pleasant visit. Also having spoon bites to try the desserts is genius!

Yelp
I'm going to start out by saying I'm really surprised reading some of these negative reviews! I came here one weekday afternoon with a girlfriend and had excellent service and loved all the food. To drink I wasn't sure if I wanted the lychee mojito or the coconut mojito and my server was so kind and said she can get me a mojito with a mix of both! Like what? Above and beyond right there! I was waiting for my friend for quite so time (she runs on Miami time) so while I was waiting I want to say my server came around like 3 or 4 times to check if I wanted another refill, order anything in the meantime, etc. I really have to say the service was awesome. To eat, my friend and I got the Queso Fundido, the Ceviche Oriental, and the Fish Croquettas to split. Everything was delish!!!!! The queso hit the spot and it took everything in me not to lick the sauce off the plate of the ceviche oriental! The fish croquettas were so good we literally inhaled them! Also, the presentation of the plates was so nice. I really enjoyed this spot and would certainly recommend it to anyone in the area! I can't wait to go back!! The ambiance is also really pretty, trendy and chić, love the vibe here!

Yelp
What a great place for happy hour! I'd been to Jaguar long ago when I was in college and they still served their ceviche with the little spoons and I remember it being very good. After moving back, when I learned they had a happy hour, I decided to go with friends since I was in the area anyways getting a facial at Sana. The drinks were an incredibly good deal and were fantastic quality. Most impressive was the food on happy hour - so good and gigantic portions! I could have shared the ceviche and the tacos with another person because you get two giant servings of each per order. It was so much food, I actually took some home! Jorge and some of the other team members were also so attentive and personable with the service. We sat outside on their patio, which had very nice shade and people watching. Definitely recommend Jaguar and will be back for dinner!

Yelp
After a Saturday morning run, my friend and I decided to try this place out. We chose to dine outside, had we been dry we probably would have chosen to eat inside as the restaurant really is beautifully decorated. We were told we missed their brunch menu by a week-so sad! Next week they'll be rolling it out on the weekends. (So we'll just have to come back to try it). We ordered from their regular menu, which is extensive. It was difficult to decide what to order as every dish sounded delicious. After much debate, my friend and I decided we would split two dishes, the Lomo Saltado and the Arroz con Mariscos-mixto (which came with tuna, shrimp, calamari, and octopus). Both were large portions, we definitely had leftovers. The arroz con mariscos really had a healthy portion of seafood. But I really enjoyed the Lomo. The Flan de queso was also very tasty! Would highly recommend it for dessert. (Definitely shareable.)

Yelp
The restaurant was nice in the inside, conveniently located next to a parking garage. We had a reservation and sat immediately when we arrived. The servers very attentive. I ordered the fried rice chafua with added protein (chicken) adding the chicken was $8 and honestly the amount of chicken I had in my rice was minimal. The rice was great but if I knew I was going to barely get protein, I would've not ordered or paid more for it. Overall the rice was not your traditional chafua but it was good! I enjoyed the tangy sauce at the bottom and the unique add ins. The steaks tacos were ordered by my sister in law, I think that was the best deal in the restaurant, five small tortillas with a good amount of steak. My mother in love loved the ceviche. The prices are a bit high but you are in coconut grove. If I come again I would've ordered the steak tacos.

Yelp
Walking in and knowing instantly we wouldn't be able to hear each other was strike one. Being sat with no menus for about 15 min was strike two. We were truly about to be extraordinarily disappointed with our choice for restaurant for our large group of 9 when the server finally came and won us over. George was absolutely phenomenal. He was exciting and just what we needed. Not to mention the happy hour deals and food were amazing. The salsa for the chips was surprisingly similar to a slightly spicy tomato bisque but they were able to bring out a spicier sauce which was dang spicy. The queso fundido- heck ya. The fried rice was surprising but actually very good. I was anticipating something more basic but it was lovely. The steak tacos were presented more like fajitas where you could make them at your table. We loved it all. Thank you George!

Yelp
This has become my absolute FAVORITE spot in Miami. Located in the recently revamped Coco grove/coco walk area, Jaguar offers an incredible indoor/outdoor ambiance. Their happy hour is amazing (some food included!) and the service is attentive and friendly. The food tho.... SO GOOD!! Every dish is packed with flavor. Portions are perfect. Already planning my next visit here...

Yelp
You know you have found "thee" spot when a restaurant becomes your "go-to" place. It's hard to find a place that is tasty, unique, and just overall excellent for just about any occasion you can think of! This place is good for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, dates, holidays, birthdays, company parties, gatherings, anything you can think of involving eating or drinking. Anyone and everyone you bring to Jaguar will be impressed. If you've eaten Latin American, the foods are familiar, but everything here is taken up to the next level, done amazingly and fresh! My go-to as of recent has been their queso fundido con chorizo as an appetizer, served with warm flour tortillas, and their grilled octopus (Cooked masterfully) with a side of fresh Caesar salad, as I drizzle their in-house sauces that are a must try (from mild-hot or just flavor enhancing options). You can taste the quality and effort into the pantheon of flavors, and what's most impressive, the consistency of everything, from food to service, it never fails. The drinks are always spot on too. This is a place to order a cocktail if you enjoy fresh bright flavors. All of their ingredients are made or squeezed in house, giving that drink the crisp edge that quenches any thirst. What's also interesting is that they are always adding in new flavors of food and drinks, exploring new possibilities to share with their people either through special event menus or just additions that made the cut, making this place forever evolving and Interesting and the reason why I continue to come back, because they will always have the great plates/drinks I've come enjoy, or have new options/experiences. A true treat.

Yelp
This is my family's current favorite restaurant. The service is incredible and while all the food is delicious my go-to is the Chicken Costeño, you gotta try it, flaky and light skin and super flavorful white meat served on sliced veggies. The young guy who runs the front of house (might be the owner) is so friendly and customer service oriented. Love Jaguar's, it rules. Ambiance is great, always chill and you can have good conversations.

Yelp
This is our third time to this restaurant and we have loved everything we have had. Today I had the lomo saltado and my husband had the arroz con mariscos and they were both excellent

Yelp
I had always overlooked Jaguar in all my years of going to The Grove. After deciding to go here on a whim with a friend, I cannot believe I had not been sooner! Wonderful music, not too loud so you can actually have conversations, beautiful decor & super friendly staff. We started with a pitcher of red wine sangria. It was DELICIOUS although I did expect the pitcher to be a bit bigger. It serves 2 people about a drink & 1/2. Super refreshing! We then ordered the queso fundido. I forgot to take a picture because we basically inhaled it! It comes nice and warm with fresh homemade tortillas. Wow! Then, I went with the chaufa and added chicken. Now this was so amazing I can't even put it into words. It was the perfect balance of flavors with the right amount if chicken, rice, & veggies. It comes with a sauce on the bottom that gives it just the right amount of spice! My friend had the lomo saltado and I simply cannot wait to go back and order that for myself. The portions are pretty big so I was able to take home my leftovers. Cant wait to visit Jaguar again!

Yelp
Great Latin restaurant in the heart of coco walk! Friendly staff, delicious food, good portions, and their Miami Spice Menu is small but very flavorful (: The atmosphere felt tropical but classy with the decor. Their is a parking lot right next to it, so parking was not a problem. Keep in mind that the parking is $4 an hour. Tried the Shrimp Appetizer (like a ceviche), Lomo Saltado, and for dessert Flan de Queso (Cheese Flan). All for a price of $35. Not including drinks of course. The reason I gave Jaguar a 4 and not a 5 is because the Lomo Saltado was too salty for me and was drinking lots of water in between bites. But everything else was marvelous. We sat at the bar and our server/Bartender was awesome, gave us great tips and made our drinks perfectly! Highly recommend! ^.^
google avatar

Yelp
Ah the food was amazing ! The ceviche I had was so good and the sauce on the plate made me consider licking it if I wasn't in public . Our server Jorge was very attentive and made us laugh we caught the end of happy hour costs for drinks and overall Jaguar is a vibe
google avatar

Yelp
1st time coming. But I'll be back. Probably the best calamari I've ever had. All the dishes were really good. Our server was fantastic. Can't wait to try more items.

Yelp
This place was delicious! We came here since my fiancé has never tired great Peruvian food which seems like a crime. The ceviche was incredible, loved the creamy mango sauce, it was more tangy than sweet, which I loved, and the tuna was so fresh! The entrée was yummy, the rice was cooked perfectly and salmon delicious. The dessert suggested as the best was the bread pudding with checked all the boxes. The only thing that my fiancé was confused about was the tipping situation in Miami, service fees are always included in the bill at 20% but they told us that the tip was not included. Which was told differently to us at all other restaurants. Now it could be that we are tourists and should know better or they weren't telling us the truth after all. All in all service and food was great, and wish the the tipping situation would have been handled better.

Christy K.

Yelp
I was not impressed with this place after getting recommendations to try it. My server wasn't very friendly and by the time our appetizers came, we decided not to stay for dinner. Our ceviche was just okay but the queso was terrible. It was overcooked and hardended cheese. Wouldn't go back which was kind of a shame since our friends recommended it.
google avatar

Yelp
Omg! First time here and won't be the last! Food was awesome! Service was excellent! The ambience was perfect!

Daniela I.

Yelp
The lomo salteado was 10/10. Service was great and good ambiance. The steak tacos weren't all that, I would skip on them mostly because it didn't have much flavor. And the guac and chips were amazing! Overall wonderful restaurant
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
It's a very cute restaurant. Service was good. Food was ok, when you compare to other Peruvian restaurants it doesn't come close. The lomo saltado has no juice and the beef is a bit tough.
google avatar

Yelp
I really wanted to love this restaurant! We were sooo excited to try it since it had amazing reviews. Don't know why it has such a great reviews because our experience was not good! The ambiance and music was great, classic salsa playing in the background. The server was very attentive, but the food was below average. We started with the guacamole with pork rinds & corn chips. We thought the pork would be actual pork pieces with the guacamole, instead we got por grinds that were stale and corn chips that were drowned in salt! We had to literally dust off the salt of the corn chips it was terrible. The queso fundido with chorizo was drowning in oil and the cheese was sooo hard which stuck to the pan, which made it difficult to eat. Now for the mains, we ordered lomo salteado which was great. Then 2 orders of Shrimp Al Ajillo one with fries the other with rice and beans, they were good but nothing out of this world. And Picanha Adobada with shrimp, the picanha was sooooooooo salty it's like they dumped a bucket of salt on it. Again we were so excited to try this restaurant based on the prior reviews and and the diverse menu! However, I would never recommend this place.

Yelp
Came here after a couple drinks next door at Key club. Nice place very attentive staff and atmosphere. Wife got a Paloma sour which she loved, they also use real egg white which is the right way to do it not sour mix , got a beer myself. We had the calamari, which was all just the circles which always makes me nervous but was served with a spicy sauce that was amazing!! We shared the churrasco which is why they didn't get 5 stars. The meat was very tough, and not impressed at all. May give it another shot but think it might be a one and done.
google avatar

Vancy S.

Yelp
Stopped by while shopping in the grove and the food never disappoints. I wanted a light snack since it was early evening. The server was friendly and recommended the dish I had. The tuna was so fresh and the sauce that it was served was so delicious. You kept wanting to have more. The staff was very attentive and brought out there salsa to snack on with them chips. Everything was great! The place was very quaint because the lunch rush just left.
google avatar

Elana K.

Yelp
Great restaurant! We mainly came here for the ceviche (I highly recommend the Black Market), but we also ordered some happy hour calamari, as well as the churrasco to share. The food was really good. Sauce on the Black Market ceviche was especially a highlight. The churrasco was perhaps a touch more than medium-rare, but still good. Service throughout Miami was pretty awful, but it was excellent here (other than the fact they reported us as a no-show to OpenTable...). We sat outside, which was nice for enjoying the comfortable temps and people watching. The indoor decorating is very captivating as well. Prices were a little high, but not crazy for Miami (or Chicago).
google avatar

Francine L.

Yelp
We loved this place! It was so fresh and delicious. Still day dreaming about the octopus, my husband said the salmon was cooked perfectly with the raw center that he requested. The drinks where perfect with the ceviche appetizer
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing spot for a Sunday brunch (or date night)! Indoor and limited outdoor seating with phenomenal service! Besty and I came for brunch (well I thought they had brunch) on a gorgeous day in coconut grove. Apparently they don't advertise it BUT they do have a "secret brunch menu" that the manager let us onto. No unlimited mimosas though so we ordered a couple of bottles and a couple of dishes to share. Very Mexican/Peruvian style and it was scrumptious! We didn't even have room for dessert from how much we ate. Great portion sizes and very good brunch price. I plan to go back for date night and see what other "secret menus" they might have!
google avatar

Onesha L.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant located next to a parking garage. Very well decorated and clean. Host at the front entrance was friendly but unfortunately service was bit off. My order was taken twice by two different people and although there was no lunch rush the service was slow, however friendly. I order the salmon with grilled vegetables. The salmon was cooked well and was good on its own. The came with a 3 chili sauce which had no spice, lots of onions, and salty. The vegetables were underwhelming, a couple slices of bell pepper, 3 slices of zucchini, a slice of red onion and watercress in lemon. I expected a better selection of vegetables.

Yelp
My friend was visiting from LA and hadn't been to the Grove in years, so I decided to take her to Jaguar as part of my tour to show her the "new" Grove (aka, a Grove that no longer includes Señor Frogs and Mr. Moes...RIP). Jaguar was a wonderful experience! My margarita was delicious and my steak fundido tacos were seriously amazing. I also really appreciated our server - I accidentally dropped all five of my tortillas on the ground (I kid you not - still in awe of how I managed to pull that off) and our server was not only super nice about it but got me a second batch in no time. He was also incredibly friendly and named a number of other dishes that were must-haves on the menu. I will certainly be back!

Yelp
The ceviche is amazing! Freshest ingredients in their dishes! Excellent service! The decor is also beautiful to look at.

Yelp
I ate here Friday night and the best way to describe it is disappointing. I started with a spicy caipirinha, which was fine except the drink arrived at the table with the ice already watered down. Not sure if the server took too long to bring it after it was made or their ice isn't up to snuff. The second drink was the same. As an appetizer we ordered the Tiradito Oriental ($24), which consists of tuna, ginger-jalapeño sauce, avocado, and cucumber criolla. It was completely bland, tasteless, although the tuna was definitely high quality. We also had the smoked fish croquetas ($13). The stuffing was very good but the croquetas were over fried, making the coating dry and ruining the dish. For my main dish I had the fried rice chaufa with skirt steak ($29). The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, but the rest of the dish was overpowered by the sauce. The sauce had a nice kick but there was too much of it. My wife had the fish tacos ($22) and she loved the mahi but the fish was inundated with too much chipotle aioli. Our friend's each had the cheese burger ($17), which they reported as nothing special and too well-formed to be made fresh in-house, which, if true, would be appalling. We finished off with the bread pudding ($10) and it was good, not too dry or hard, but again, nothing about it stood out. When the waitress asked if everything was okay with our appetizers, I reported my complaints and had her clear the Tiradito Oriental (mostly uneaten). The manager eventually came over and asked what was wrong with the dish to which he responded with a patronizing "I've never heard that before" and then offered to comp our desert after one of our party (not me) suggested it. His response and offer were as uninspired as the food. How about offering a different appetizer? How about making sure the desert was comped (we were charged)? How about some other response than disbelief? As for the ambiance, it's upscale and happening, but incredibly loud. Very difficult to hold a conversation with anyone other than the person sitting next to you. The best thing about our experience was the service. It was efficient and professionally friendly. I won't be back and I don't recommend anyone waste their money here. While not the most expensive restaurant in town, at this price point I expect more from the food and management.

Yelp
You know when a place has just been there for so long, you don't expect much? That's how it was for me when I went to Jaguar with my wife for date night. And I was proven wrong every single second I was there. For the first time my mouth was watering looking at the pictures of the food in the bathroom. Weird but hear me out. Everything that came out looked like he pictures. It was unreal. We got the Nikkei and me Ivan ceviche. The only mistake I made was getting the small not large for the Mexican. It was amazing. Some of the best ceviche I've ever had. We licked the bowl clean. We got the picanha (spelling) and added a couple pieces of shrimp and veggies to share between us. Honestly, best steak I've had not in a steakhouse. Slightly undercooked if I was being annoying, but it was a perfect medium/medium rare and I asked for a medium. So I take that back. And the shrimps? Honestly, I wasn't excited because they were priced per piece. But after trying them? I would've ordered 10. Amazing. Not over cooked, juicy, plump and tasted like they were cooked on the plancha. The veggies were so good too. Honestly it came with a chimichurri that I didn't even end up touching because everything was so good. Ended it with the bread pudding which was great. I'm not a huge fan of caramel, but their bread pudding was perfect. Give me some cream anglaise next time cause I'm fat, but really. I wouldn't change a thing. And their staff? All were great. The lady we had was so sweet, she was nice and attentive, came around to make sure we were good and i never felt like she came too much or that I was needing her for something. Perfect. And the red headed dude, was great. I don't speak Spanish (I'm learning), so him coming around I got some questions answered that I wanted just for fun. Honestly, I have not a single bad thing to say about this place. From start to finish, even the woman clearing our tables was so nice about. This is 100% my new regular spot. Love jaguar!

Yelp
It has been awhile since I've been to Jaguars and right away I noticed the menu has been revamped. I used to get the churrasco salad, but didn't see it anymore. I debated on the grilled mahi versus the fish tacos. I thought the tacos. Isnt be too light of a meal, so went with the grilled mahi and selected the quinoa salad as my side meanwhile several orders of quac was ordered by the table. It was so good. I thought it might not have any chips with the order. But two orders were enough for the 8 of us, so I guess I was wrong. Someone also ordered a creamy reddish dish with shrimp and I think it was a ceviche. It got gobbled up with the chips so fast, I only got to try a bite, but wow...I can understand how it disappeared. SoI had the grilled mahi and oftentimes fish is t that attractive when it comes served but this had a pretty golden color after grilling and was quite tasty. But the quinoa salad was spectacular. It was colorful and healthy and delicious. I had wondered if the grains would be too plain (unflavored quinoa is very unpleasant, imo) but this salad was gorgeous and flavorful. I didn' t care for the wine selection. There was only one pinot noir, no house wines, and the wines were all $16, which seemed just a tad high. And the pour wasn't that generous, either.

Yelp
We were stranded and hungry at Coconut Groves busiest area near Cocowalk... so many choices! And we decided to stop at Jaguar since it was listed as a "taco spot" Come to find out that while they do make good tacos and have a wicked super hot killer sauce, they are this "Peruvian mix" type restaurant with an apparently great ceviche as well! This time we went for their Mexican menu and ordered some Margaritas, chips with guacamole and their Tacos- all the food was good/ their salsas were also good but beware of the one listed as super hot because: it IS super hot! Lol Anyway, the place really starts popping later in the evening as it has a very long bar that seems to be a local favorite and so groups of people come in after 8pm and the vibe gets to be vivacious and chatty: love places like this for larger groups as well, you should stop by and check it out! Enjoy!

Yelp
It's been a minute since I've shown some love to one of my favorite spots in Miami and on this #ThankYouThursday I'm revisiting my review of Jaguar. How many restaurants in Miami can say they have been open for over 17 years - that is seriously WILD! For as long as I can remember Jaguar in the Grove has been serving up my favorite ceviche in Miami. Their menu has some classics like the vuelve la vida ceviche, oriental (my personal fave), Celia's salad, and of course churrasco. You can find those on my heavy rotation regularly. I love Jaguar because it's a family owned business, and every guest does feel like family. While you can tell the recipes are prepared by a skilled Chef Oscar and his team, you also feel like you're stepping into your fave family member's home being served traditional latin american food. The service here is so friendly, and if you visit more than once they're sure to welcome you as a regular. They have amazing drinks as well and their happy hour is great. Visiting Jaguar is always a good idea, and today and every day I am thankful for you!

Yelp
The restaurant is pretty, it was empty inside but we went early. The outside seating was nice, however, the sun was very strong that day, they have umbrellas but it wasn't enough and also the table was very close to the door of the restaurant and servers and other staff were very close to us talking and gretting customers. The food was very good, I had huevos rancheros, very tasty. Overall, a nice experience but next time will sit inside for sure, more private.

Yelp
I have heard about jaguar through a friend and decided to give it a try with some of my friends. I booked a reservation for 7pm thinking i wasn't going to make it earlier; however, I got early from my errand and decided to make my way to the tea. I was able to seat down 30 mins prior to my reservation, which was lovely of the host and server to do. I was greeted with a lovely smile and my server was extremely hospitable. It turned out my friends were trying to find parking and was were having a hard time seeing how it was raining but the staff still came by to check if I was doing alright. I had order Guacamole as a starter and it was delicious. At first it tasted a bit dull and under seasoned but when you mix in the red sauce they add on top it makes the dish flavorful. Once my friends had arrived we order some espresso martinis and margaritas. The espresso martinis were just perfect! My friend commented on how tasty it was (I'm sure it was the frangelico that I decided to addon). I think overall the highlight of the night was the fried rice chaufa with chicken. Wow... this dish was the best chaufa I've had in a while. I hesitated to order this at first but my server highly recommended it for a flavorful dish. Overall my experience was excellent. My only complaint really was the support staff kinda harassing to take out plates even though there was still food on them. It was a bit too much. My poor friend was in a middle of a bite and one of the staff members ask to table her plate. I appreciate the attentiveness but it was a bit too much. Would definitely come back though.

Yelp
Refreshing my Jaguar review from 7 years ago with 5 stars again! I had not visited in a couple years and wow, i was once again impressed w the delicious tuna ceviche. It was my favorite 10 years ago, and it still is! They updated the cocktail menu, I tried the Mula Fresca (Mezcal mule with Tajin rim) and was impressed, so refreshing!

Yelp
Picanhna (rare) w, Grilled Vegetables and added prawn. Ambiance, service, and food/drinks were excellent. The drinks were a bit high in price but very well made and very balanced. Our table had ceviches, adobos, Churrasco Argentino, Arroz con Mariscos - everyone enjoyed their dinner. Banana/nutella crepe and cheese flan were both delectable (desserts were shareable portions).

Yelp
We visited Jaguar for the first time, after passing by a handful of times while hanging out in the Grove. We had a great experience! The food was delicious and had powerful flavor. I was a little cautious ordering the steak tacos, as typically restaurants overcook the steak. Not Jaguar, the steak was so juicy and tender! All of the food we got was delicious, and the cocktails were yummy. They were fantastic about my dairy allergy and our server Joey was very nice and funny.

Yelp
Jaguar is an awesome Miami restaurant. Definitely encompasses the rich culture of the city. Every dish looked beautiful and tasted great too. Lots of yummy seafood dishes. They have happy hour from 4-7 everyday which is a nice perk. Service was amazing everyone who worked at the restaurant was so friendly and accommodating. The interior is very cute as well. I like the decor. I would recommend the pork sliders from the happy hour menu and the salmon Norma. Come here if you're in Miami!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday right when they opened and had a great experience. The Jamaica Mule was delicious, my girlfriend got the Mexico Melon drink and really enjoyed it. We ordered Calamari as an appetizer which was honestly some of the best calamari I've had in Miami. I ordered the Shrimp Ajillo dish which was cooked perfectly! My girlfriend ordered the Chilaquiles and that was soooo good. Usually Chilaquiles come out a bit soggy with the egg really undercooked but they knew what they were doing here, I highly recommend it. We passed up on dessert which was a hard decision but finished our experience with a shot of espresso. Hard to find really good quality food and top notch service at the same place in Miami but Jaguar offered exactly that. Added to my favorites and will be back for sure!

Yelp
We've been to Jaguar twice now, while hanging out in the Grove. The first time, we sat without any issues waiting and our server was super friendly and helpful. We loved the ceviche options and beans and rice ... it seems like simple choices, but takes a lot to make them yummy. The second time, I came to try their happy hour menu which was nice to enlighten even on the weekend. My friends and I enjoyed their wine selection and calamari, ceviche tostadas, and salads. We had the best drinks and food but our server went ghost... like, we legit had to go find him once and the second time we saw he left for the day! Sitting outside shouldn't equal being left to our own devices, I think. I'll be back, as it's a great spot to hangout and eat great food but don't let anyone forget you!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with chic ambience. Food was good, drinks delicious. Great service. Why three stars? We spent $240 for a family of four, I ordered the octopus with grilled vegetables. If I was a 90 lbs model it would have been fine but I felt cheated. A bit more veggies to make the tiny portion of protein would have been better. I think it's a good place for young people who want fun drinks and perhaps one appetizer.
