Jail Joa

Jail Joa was the highlight of my LA trip. This was best and freshest food I put in my mouth. The servings are huge and family style so we shared everything. Of course banchan was included. Thats those small veggie dishes that Koreans serve up so well. We ordered Mulhwe and that was my first time ever having a sashimi salad. It was the best seafood I’ve ever had and that is saying alot because Ive had seafood on 4 different continents. The dressing on this salad sealed the deal. It tasted like a gochujang vinaigrette. It was a perfect blend of sour, spicy, umami, and sweet. We also got the beef bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, spicy rice cake and seafood ramyum. For swallows we had a Chamisul which is smooth like water but dont be fooled that drink packs a mean punch 🥊! Everything was excellent and seasoned to perfection. This will be my K-Town stop every time I’m in LA. My pics suck because I was so hungry 🤤 I forgot to take pics before we dug in lol.

Phenomenal dishes! Prices may appear steep during the first looks at the menu, but it comes with complimentary potato salad, cucumber salad, kimchi, and japchae! The salad and soup that came with the stew and bbq was absolutely delicious as well. Great flavor, great sides to eat the entrees with, and the service makes it so much more worth it! Our first time visiting LA koreatown and this place is an absolute must!

The staff were all friendly. And the food is really amazingly delicious. We finished soju quickly. What an amazing restaurant.

Prices look scary at first but IT IS SO WORTH IT. The portions are huge and we got a huge assortment of side dishes including kimchi, japchae, soups, and so much more. I got the Al Bap and it came with so much masago, so worth and so delicious. The staff is also so so so friendly, highly recommend!!!!!

Best Korean food in LA. Great atmosphere, good service. I would recommend the kimchi fried rice.

Amazing food and service!!! Kind and attentive owners were very thoughtful when they explained their dishes and gave awesome recommendations! Decor definitely has a vibe where you come to drink with friends/coworkers. Banchan were delicious, with their kimchi on the lighter side which I prefer. Main dish was the Sashimi Bibibamp. Quite a large portion and refreshing with a good amount of veggies and sashimi! Pictured below is the sashimi bibibamp.

me and my brother went after kcon and the workers were literally the nicest people ever, they gave me a chair so that my bag wasn’t on the floor! also they were pretty busy considering it was after a concert and we waited for a bit and said gave us free chocolate milk to say sorry for the wait. the food was amazing and the service was extra amazing. theyre the nicest people ever. i would come back just for them🤭😽 such a 5 star michelin!!! stan skz

Delicious, large portions and amazing service. Great sashimi and popcorn chicken, highly recommend.
