Where to Dine Near Great Basin National Park in Nevada

"Cellblock Steakhouse offers fine dining with an Old Western twist. Located inside the Jailhouse Casino, this steakhouse is a kitschy experience that serves some seriously good steaks. Diners can settle in for wine, a shrimp cocktail, and prime rib with au jus all from behind bars." - Krista Diamond, Janna Karel

I was advised to book in the West wing, and I was glad I did. My room was nice, clean, comfy. No complaints. I was on the 2nd floor and was thankful for the elevator. The check-in counter is in the casino, so be prepared for some smoke, but no hint of smoke in my room. There was a fridge, coffee maker, tv, etc. No microwave in my room, but there was one downstairs in the lobby'ish area. I didn't have need for one, so that was good. The doors to the west wing are all keyed, so only guests could enter. All in all, I was surprised at how nice it was.

The place is old but clean. Check-in was easy. Located at the west end of town. BUT… the first room I was given had no window to the outdoors and was hot and stuffy inside. It had some sort of stand-alone cooler vented into the hallway but did not seem to cool anything, even though set to 62 degrees. The next room I was given was a “pet allowed” room. Again, clean and WITH a window that sort of opened. BUT… NO HOT WATER!||I won’t be staying here again.

Google
5+ You must eat a Smash and Grab burger at the Jailhouse Hotel and Casino! Excellent burger with fresh french fries. They bring you fry sauce and ranch without having to ask for it. Huge burger and very generous portion of fries. Extremely friendly too! So glad we stopped!

Google
Super cute retro hotel with a small casino. Service was awesome, room was clean. Didn't gamble so can't speak on that. Gets 4* because they really need to replace the carpet and put up new wall paper as it was peeling in places. I would stay here again.

Google
We stayed here in June 2024. The room we stayed in took 10 minutes to get hot water from the faucet. The mattress was the worst one I have ever had in a motel, and over all the room was worn out looking. No laundry or ice machine. Don’t stay here if you have a choice.

Google
Priced way to high for what you get. Room was clean but portions of the wallpaper were peeling. Check in time was 3.30 and when l arrived at 3 I was told to come back in half an hour.

Stopped at the Jail House Motel and Casino on a roadtrip across Nevada. Got into town early, picked up an hour crossing into state from Utah, and so decided to check-in a little after 2, since that was the check-in time stated on the reservation confirmation. The lady at the frontdesk/customer service desk informed me check-in was 3:30, and when I told her my confirmation said 2, she just said "yeah, they're suppose to change that". I made my reservation over the phone, but if made online, it does say check-in is 15:00, or 3PM, so not sure where her extra 30 minutes came from. Motel is across the street, room was big, and the bathroom large. There was an elevator, even though only 2 stories, but the room was clean and quiet, with 2 chairs and a table, and a rocking chair in the corner. There was no microwave in our room. Room was good, customer service not so much. g

Yelp
I'll give this one a five for a few reasons: -Clean, comfy bed -huge room -Roku TV, kinda sorta. It's mainly over air channels -Room rate was excellent -Neat, historical place that is themed about the wild west. Worth stopping by. - Has a steakhouse on premises and is walking distance to Dennys Cons: -Spa and pool closed -Back parking reeks of dumpster juice. Hold your breath before you get in your vehicle is that bad -WiFi was down

Yelp
After a long Drive and exhausted we choose to stay at Jailhouse Casino. we went right to bed to wake up with bodily fluids on the bed (blood) and on the bathroom door was blood. I took pictures and obviously very upset the management came and looked and were equally upset and changed our room. the business only took off $30.00 when we should have been compensated for the room due to the poor conditions. our shower we had to break the hard water deposits to turn on and the toilet didn't work properly. were not one to write a review but this is just bad business! I do not recommend staying here.

Richard M.

Yelp
The Jailhouse hotel is the absolute Worst place we've ever stayed at! The rooms were disgusting, had roaches and bed bugs. We saw just how nasty the room was and asked for a refund, however the front desk lady was extremely foul and rude. She refused to issue a refund even though we never stayed in the room. I've since tried calling management several times without any calls back. I'm contacting my credit card company and hopefully will have the charges reversed. I'd stay anywhere besides this dump! We ended up leaving and staying elsewhere.

Yelp
So we checked online, and the rooms were all taken, and when we arrived they had the no vacancy sign lit, but we decided to check anyway. The front desk lady at check-in was thorough and friendly and informed us that they had two rooms they seldom rent because they had no AC. We did not care as we are from Phoenix, and it was a bit chilly for us. So they put us in two rooms as we had two adults and 4 children. The rooms were dated, but clean, and huge. More than accommodating. Anyone that leaves a one-star on this motel has some expectations that may be a bit unreasonable for the price point. Most casinos smell of smoke. I do quite a bit of traveling and I would absolutely stay here again. It's a sleepy little mountain town but interesting. We put this on our list of good stays for the future.

Yelp
First, don't order the Shrimp Cocktail appetizer. Think it was frozen shrimp and quick thawed. Jumbo shrimps but warm vs cold and tasted like rubber. If you can't do it right, don't do it. The house salad was mainly spinach and very little dressing . The prime rib was very good and suggest it. The baked potato was well cooked but the smallest potato I have ever had at a steak restaurant. The service was ok at best as for a Steakhouse spending $61.00 for one person should have been better.

Yelp
We were traveling in the area and decided we were done driving for the night started looking for a room in Ely and no luck as it is tourist and fire season. We took what we could get. The rooms haven't been upgraded in decades dirty furniture, place reeks of smoke as they have ash trays inside the entry ways. Our room faced east so even with a cloudy morning it is damn light in the room @ 5:00 AM when the curtains don't fit or close properly. Wifi was good. Pillows were a joke, flat I had to fold two over to get any support. Of course having a ground floor room people at 1:30 in the morning outside our room just added to the experience. Non working lights, outlets loose, torn wallpaper......

Yelp
Nice hotel, old school, very clean and comfy king size bed! Quiet and great water pressure! Room that I stayed in was nice and big.

Jake D.

Yelp
arrived late and was checked into my room- I went right to bed- it was comfortable, the parking lot was well lit and I felt comfortable parking my car in it. This was a quiet casino hotel- all the amnenties one would expect- warm shower- spacious rooms. Nice, convient location.

Yelp
Waited WAY too long to be served really bad food. Asparagus and carrots were NOT cooked and the mushrooms tasted moldy. Chicken was very dry and small portion. Hubby's prime rib was stringy pale and tasteless along with the bad dipping broth. His veggies too hard to eat as well. We will stick with Mr G's. We will not go back Sorry but there it is

Yelp
We're staying here for the weekend. Rooms are cheap but clean. Door to our room will not close. Mattress was worn out. You're in Ely, Nevada and it's pretty much the same with all the motels and motor lodges. I travel quite extensively in my job so I would stay here again for the price because the service was good and the hotel was clean.

Yelp
Fun jailhouse themed establishment. We checked out the casino and ate at the steakhouse which is a must try (see separate review). Next time through we will have to stay the night here.

Yelp
Excellent stake house. Cooked beautifully with veggies and spinach salad. The staff are great and your served in a jail cell. Each private table is in its own jail cell with bars. Good food and cool atmosphere.

Bill G.

Yelp
Dont stay here. I booked a room 5 days before going . When I arrived since every other hotel was booked when I looked, after 20 minutes the manager came to me and said sorry we have no rooms. What a joke I had to go to the La Quinta hotel and pay $200 they had one room left. Sad place and sad management to do that to people.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the service and stay at Jailhouse. We stopped by for a night on our way down to Vegas. The price most definitely does not match the place. You have to expect the unexpected, especially at a motel, but certainly would you not expect to find bed bugs crawling on your neck, getting into your luggage, and being in constant fear that you are bringing them to your next destination, and even possibly home. Our toilet was rather sticky and the room smelt of very strong chemicals. The guy at the service desk was understanding, and did put us in another room, far away and clean. However; there were bugs and little nats in that room as well. We were not compensated for launder costs, preventative costs for infestation, and were only given trash bags to put our belongings. I did try to be compensated (as it is the hotels responsibility) but my plea was ignored and avoided in conversation. Never, ever again.

Yelp
Clean rooms friendly people if you want to live in the fast lane this is not the place you need to be. Appreciate the Nostalgia of the town the slow-moving pace and the slow-moving people.

Yelp
Service was not great showed up 20 minutes early for reservation waited another extra 10 for sit down. She was not attentive at all. Didn't have soup and bread was very cold. Steak was modeoker

Yelp
This is my 5th or 6th time staying here at the Jailhouse Casino over the past 10 years. I can't say I have ever had a bad experience here. Last night I had the Lobster tail for dinner. Wow, was I impressed. The chef did an outstanding job with my family's and my meal last night. I tip my hat to him. The staff was above reproach and I have no doubt I will return to the Jailhouse many more times in the future. Not to mention the view of the snow covered mountains from our hotel room is amazing and refreshing.

Yelp
We stayed at this Motel on our road trip and were pleasantly surprised! We stayed in the West Wing Suites and I would rate them 4 * The restaurant however after being told it served good hamburgers and pulled pork sandwiches was not so great. The hamburgers and pulled pork sandwiches have to be ordered from the bar. After we were seated we found that out and ended up ordering the prime rib. Thin cuts and not so great. Baked potato overdone too. Bread was awful. Ordered shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and the shrimp didn't have a fresh taste. 2 * for the restaurant.

Yelp
We chose this place site unseen because of the good yelp reviews it had. We are a family of four with two small children and quite unsatisfied. The only thing good I can say about the place is the room and bathroom are clean. There is no complementary breakfast like someone had said in their yelp review. The restaurant food was not good and overpriced..especially the ribs. Front desk staff not helpful at all our TV didn't work and she just said "well there's no maintenance here now."I will say the restaurant staff was nice but what good is that when you are in your room hungry and no TV to keep your children entertained. Definitely not worth the money. Wish I would've spent that little bit more now to stay in a nicer place.

Yelp
Old school motel / casino/ restaurant with a jail theme throughout. Cool place to visit for a bit as you are passing through but I'm not sure I would want to stay here. Restaurant was ok.
google avatar

Lonnie K.

Yelp
They still safely sit you in the restaurant and then they have great food. We had a party of 5 and ate just about every item. Every thing we ate was cooked to perfection. I hotheadedness ribeye and it did not disappoint. Even the salad and veggies were fresh and tasty.

Erin V.

Yelp
We needed to stay the night and this place had a room. There were a couple small bugs in the bathroom, the floor had not been swept in a while as there were a few little things on it (hair and crumbs maybe). Couple towels dirty not sure if they were stained but one definitely had something rust color on it - not a stain. It was very quiet here. The pillow cases and bedsheets looked clean.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for two nights and on the last morning requested a late checkout. I had stayed many times previously and late checkouts were never a problem, and this most recent winter the lady told me I couldn't have one- even though I appeared to be the only one at the hotel! But I had a guest with me so I paid the extra $50 for another night so she could stay in the room for a few hours while I took care of business. When I returned I went back to the office to ask the manager about getting a refund for that extra room. A young woman, I believe her name was Jessica, told me she would talk to the manager. Later that day Jessica called me and told me that they did refund it for me! And I saw it on my bank statement. Then I started my 7 hour drive back home. And three hours into it, I stop for gas to find that my card was declined. I look at my account too see that not only did they charge my account for the extra night (again, after refunding), but another $60. I called and they said the maids saw a pet in my room. I already new this was BS because the maids did not come into the room at all during my stay. The only person who entered was the maintenance who came to help us with the heater because it was freezing in the room. I asked them to ask him if he saw a pet. They didn't bother. I asked if they could describe the "pet" and fought for weeks. When I got to the owner the maids had changed their story to seeing a "dog hair". The owner kept repeating to me "when you bring a pet we have to charge you to shampoo the rooms in case the next person has allergies". Well I wonder why they didn't do that for me? He didn't listen to me. My loyal, monthly patronage was not worth a refund or even a compensation for my next stay. Not even an apology. They treated me like I was a liar just trying to get $ from them. Frustrated And ignored, I just decided to never return. I now stay at the white pine hotel or motel 6 and it is just great! They don't appreciate their customers They will make up for slow business by scamming every penny from you. Inconsistent, greedy, rude. Tip: just pay the $10 pet fee while checking in so the maids don't lie about you having a pet and screw you over. Maybe they get compensated.. Was it because they realized I was visiting an inmate every month and being prejudice? Or maybe they chose to treat me like this because they believed my guest was my girlfriend? Either way the message was clear: I wasn't welcome here. Word travels fast in my community, many if not most of your guests are traveling to visit incarcerated family members.

Yelp
Stayed over the Memorial Day weekend 2021. Hotel was almost full but the rooms were just fine and clean (I got moved after my first night as they accommodated my request to stay beyond Friday night). Saturday night I put my name on the list for dinner at the Steakhouse at 4:40 pm. By 7:30 pm my name had yet to be called after checking twice about what was taking so long. Finally in desperation I asked to order and eat the the bar. Once served at 8 pm the meal was essentially UNEDIBLE! The salad was extremely small and never did find a piece of blue cheese in my dressing. The ribs were a burnt, hard and dry pile of wasted meat. The potatoes would have been good had they been warm. The beans were runny but flavorful but needed a spoon to eat. Over all it was a waste of time, money and all I could hear was the employees apologizing over and over again for the wait. Will NEVER eat there again!

Yelp
I've been to the Jail House Restaurant many times, but this time had a horrible experience. It's as though everything that could go wrong, did. We arrived at 7:30, a little late for me to have dinner. We were given glasses of water that the hostess had her dirty fingers in and around the rim. The waitress didn't come to take our order for 15 minutes. She informed us that they were out of bread (one of the things they are known for) and there was no soup (despite it being listed on the special board). I'm not really a salad person, so I was disappointed about the soup. We were more than ready to order, so my husband asked for a rack of ribs. Oops! She also forgot to tell us they are out of ribs. We asked her to come back in one minute so he could make another choice. She came back in 10. Our order went in at about 8:00. Our salads were delivered timely, and by that time, we were starving! After out salad plates were taken, we waited 30 minutes. I was about to go complain, when the waitress stopped by to tell us our food was just about ready. I asked what was taking so long. She said they were having a hard time adjusting from 35% capacity to 50% capacity. Are you kidding? What are they going to do when the have 100%? At 8:50, I went to the hostess and asked her to check on our meal. She disappeared into the kitchen. The waitress came out and apologized again. She finally brought our food at 9:00. My medium rare filet was just barely rare, the baked potato was burned, but the vegetables were tasty. We didn't get out of there until 10:00. There was no adjustment on the bill for the lack of bread, the absence of soup, or the fact that it took 90 minutes to get our dinner. At any good restaurant, if they have a particularly bad night, I've been offered a coupon, a discount, or maybe a free dessert. Not here. There was zilch, nada, absolutely no consideration for the poor service and experience. I hope this is a one-time deal and Jail House will go back to being a great steak house. If not, I guess I'll have to cross this one off my list.
google avatar

Janet G.

Yelp
Very disappointed it's the motel. There was not a sign of a jail hose theme in the rooms at all. And as far as the WiFi it was as good as non existent. Will not stay here again.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Steak was terrible , raw meat when asked for med rare. When I receive the steak back it was med but the quail it's was 1 star at best. The waitress was amazing and super nice , the potatoes we also a hit , I love them as well as the beans. Never get the steak there , it was a mistake

Yelp
They are the great service. .. I really enjoy this place a lot... And they are very respectful people here... They also very helpful when I ask for things... Great job... :-) However, there is no wifi reception at other hotel building across the street.. They should have put more wifi signal at those buildings...

Yelp
We have stayed at all of the "big" hotels/casinos in Ely. I won't name them because I did not like them. One is old, small and stinks. Another one is newer and the smell of cigarettes is so strong that my lungs hurt walking through the lobby, then there is another larger new hotel that is at the end of their Main Street that costs more and the rooms are not as large. Then of course you have a national chain brand hotel that costs more than double the cost of the Jailhouse. The owners at the Jailhouse have been refurbishing this hotel and casino. The WIFi did not work well in past years but now they have fixed that, since I always have my electronics and need to conduct my business even while on vacation this is why I went to some of the other hotels. Some of them had bad wifi too. :( The staff at the Jailhouse hotel are friendly, courteous and efficient. The rooms in the "West Building" are large clean and comfortable. I read a review about pillows, these are the same pillows as the Marriott hotels, I stay in Marriott and Marriott brand hotels constantly. If your looking for a decent hotel, comfortable beds, nice staff who work with you, and clean quiet rooms at a good price then you'll like it at this hotel. They just recently brought back a complimentary breakfast buffet, it has scrambled eggs (that were dry) sausage, bagels, toast, cereal, granola drinks for breakfast. It's not huge but it is a nice addition and I'm glad they brought it back after years of it being gone.

Yelp
Very cool place in a small town. Surf & turf was very well prepared and buttery.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
The prices here are awfully high compares to other establishments in town that have better service and food. I do like the booths and the restaurant but there isn't much to write home about when it comes to this place. The food was ok. Overpriced and average at best. The server was really sweet but seemed to be bored but preoccupied with something else in the back room. Overall there isn't much to write about this place. Average at best, nice booths, overpriced food for such a small town.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
Nice place for the price. Much nicer than other places at this price range. Was unlucky at the casino but the room was clean. Would stay again if I was in this part of the world. Front counter staff was very helpful and very friendly.

Monica G.

Yelp
LOVED IT! Memorabilia of the town's history was everywhere! Our room was clean and quiet. The huge King size bed was tastefully made up and very comfortable. Loved the bedspread and towel display in the bathroom too! Very clever. The staff were all very friendly. The food in the Cell Block Steak House was outstanding. Best meal we've had in a long, long time. Where did they find such a skilled Chef and kitchen staff ? I give this whole shebang Ten Stars! * * * * * * * * * *
google avatar

Joel S.

Yelp
The joy of this place is that you get to enjoy your meal inside the replica of a jail cell. This is behind the bar which is behind the casino which is wrapped around a coffee shop that is not the steak house. If you like ribs, you'll do all right. My wife's scallops, however, were not tasty in the least. I think they made them walk across the Great Basin.

Michael M.

Yelp
This would be an odd place to stay overnight for someone like me who abhors the smell of smoke and gambling but the local choices were rather narrow. The room was OK but it did reek of stale cig smoke. Checked out before sunrise.

Becky D.

Yelp
We are staying here tonight after a long day on the road. We just wanted to relax in the room and watch our favorite shows. We have no sound for CBS or NBC and have been told that's just the way it always is. I wish we had paid to stay somewhere where, for the same price, you can get sound with your picture on tv.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
If you've been to Ely Nevada you know there isn't a lot of places to eat. We tried the jail house steak house for dinner and it was better than expected. The new York was good and cooked as ordered (med rare). Seasoning and taste was ok. Not a 5 star place, but not bad. The server was decent and on top of his job. I would come back for a steak if I were in Ely again. It's a little better than the hotel Nevada across the street.

Yelp
A HAIKU REVIEW Was in hotel cell Couldn't get WI-FI to work Hand wrote Yelp review

Yelp
there an odor upon arrival, but you can get past it. The rooms are a good size, and their service is great too. This place doesn't offer breakfast. And i've seen some bad reviews about their steakhouse so i wouldn't risk it. but overall is a good discount place
google avatar

Barbie S.

Yelp
Love love love this place, rooms are big and beds are comfortable. The cell block steakhouse has very nice dinner options, and the café has a nice reasonably priced menu. Friendly staff always willing to accommodate.

Yelp
This time, I entered the place off a side street and discovered a completely different, more formal restaurant. Who would have thought this motel/casino would actually have such a night-and-day difference? So this restaurant actually had quite a nice menu. It's a steakhouse and the menu reflects that with a couple dozen different steak/rib items. There's some fish. If you're a vegetarian, good luck. I ordered the NY Steak and the portion was pretty huge. It was $18 and included rice pilaf (pretty good) and their cowboy beans (more pepper than beans). There was a salad (very yummy) and sliced bread (great). The steak itself left a lot to be desired. Texture and all was great, but it just didn't have any flavor. None. So I threw some A1 on it and all was well. The service didn't impress me. They were nice, but not an $18 meal nice. I get better service from Applebee's. What WAS neat about the restaurant was the decor. It's called the Jail House for a reason. The restaurant (and from what I could see, the entire hotel) was reminicent of an old jail. Your dining table is actually inside a jail cell. Signs and other decorations on the wall added to the effect. I'd eat here again but would try something else. 4 stars for the decor, 2 stars for the overpriced food and service.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Great rooms for the price! Clean, spacious and quiet. The pillows are a little cheesy and they used to have a community microwave that they don't have anymore; but they have fridges in the rooms. They also give discount coupons for the cafe. I will definitely stay here again.
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
This review is for the Coffee Shop...Ordered the half size Chef Salad. Interestingly, it's about the same size as the full size with lettuce tomato cucumber ham and turkey and cheese. Very good and extremely fresh. I asked for their own homemade low-fat Italian dressing. It also came with two pieces of garlic bread. Big portion and very reasonable price. Excellent service, though it was a slow Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
This is NOT the place to stay, unless it's the last place you can find. Unfortunate choices and complete exhaustion ended our day here and we wished we'd chosen somewhere else or gone further down the road. Nearly every electrical outlet was rigged, the faucets on the sink and shower were broken. If you happened to "use the switch" (light switch) installed to shut down the AC, you were on your hands & knees to turn it back on. The fridge wasn't on (understandable to save energy) and unfortunately took forever to get going - also on an extension cord with a 3way extension for lighting and the microwave. Crazy stuff! The bedding stunk like body odor something awful. Dirty washcloth on top of the shower curtain from previous or housecleaning. This place is for those who want to be out of the room and don't care too much about sleep or atmosphere. Reports of these items were made on the way out, when calling the motel telephone number, as there is no other way to get around the smokey lobby.

Will G.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. We reserved this hotel because of the price and was blown away by what we seen. The rooms were super clean and the staff was more than friendly. The room we reserved had 2 queen beds and a nice small flat screen TV and a mini fridge. It has the feel of an older motel with the parking right outside your door, which was good for us, but the place is a newer model. The discounted breakfast was excellent. We got a prime rib breakfast with eggs, potatoes, toast and coffee for less than $6.00. This is my new go to motel when we go up from now on.

Yelp
Unbelievable! 3-4 stars? Really? This is probably some of the worst food I have ever seen served in a restaurant. Ordered prime rib, a twice baked potato, and a spinach salad. My daughter ordered the same except "Lemon Chicken". First the spinach salad arrives. About a 1/4lb glob of mayo + honey goo, sitting on a bed of spinach. My god, has this chef ever had a spinach salad? Trader Joe's is far bettter. Next the prime rib is served, a fatty tasteless mess, but kinda what I expected. Thank god for horseradish. The twice baked potato was unbelievable. It came with a massive cheesy/rubber coating. I got to mine before it congealed, and was able to scrape it off. My daughter wasn't so lucky. It hardened and became a 2lb cheese turd before our eyes. But the piece de resistance was the "lemon" chicken. "My god, this tastes like Pinesol", my daughter said after the first bite. I tried it, even more unbelievable. Pinesol Infused Chicken! Brilliant. They probably use the leftovers (since no one can eat it) to wash the other dishes. Despite this place being a culinary train wreck, will leave a star. This is why. If you are in Ely and you are hungry, you are in trouble right from the start. They are open. The second reason is that the waiter was professional. I am not sure about this, but I think he was slightly embarrassed about serving such a disaster. Also, we did have an excellent bottle of Kenwood cab for $18. When I mentioned that is was a great value, the waiter said with a wry smile, "they don't know wine". The place is consistent in that regard. In the end, plan to bring your own dinner to Ely if possible. If you live there, go online and take a cooking class. You will be the best cook in town in a few hours and you can open a restaurant. The town desperately needs one.

Yelp
This is definitely one of those places that you worry about the cleanliness ....and it was NOT clean to my standards. I even found some spots on the" comforter"....that's not comforting! Haha. So that was taken off immediately. The rest of the room was okay and pretty much what I expected. I would not want to stay here again, but we were so tired that we didn't care enough to go somewhere else.

Yelp
After reading reviews on several website both good and bad. I decided to book a nights stay and had a really enjoyable experience. I went in knowing that it was not on the top end of motels, but I was going for a "taste of history" weekend trip which included a train ride on an old steam engine also located in Ely. The motel had a charm all it's own with the jail theme they have going on through out. We had breakfast in their diner and the portions were HUGE. Staff was helpful and friendly. I wouldn't mind going back again. I give it four stars just because the cigarette smell that lingers in the hall because of the casino. But they do have a dang cute players card.

Yelp
We stopped here to EAT only. We ate in the steak house and I would say the food was average. The ambiance was tacky and dated. Also when a restaurant is very dark you wonder what they are hiding.

Yelp
After reading all of the negative reviews I was a little apprehensive, but my sister and brother in-law assured me it wasn't bad. That did little to reassure me, but I went in with an open mind. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, baked potato, with a salad, and a bottle of Le Crema Pinot Noir. First off, the wine was 33$, which is about a 30% mark up from retail. A huge difference from the normal 300%. The meal started with a nice mixed green salad, although the dressing could have used a little more salt. The prime rib was a little over cooked, but flavorful and accompanied by a great au jus. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall we had a great time, and would definetly come back.
