J'aime Fitness

Although I climb and run a couple of times a week, I had not had any formal fitness training ever before signing up for personal training here. Training with Jaime has radically improved my overall fitness, strength, and balance, and has given me the knowledge and strategies I need to continue on my fitness journey independently. I love coming here so much, I just got my SO to sign up for partner training sessions with me! Highly, highly recommend.

Jaime is fantastic! She personable and community-centric, and she emphasizes technique over number of reps. The gym is a welcoming space for folks with all fitness levels. Support local!!

Excellent gym and staff. I have been going there for six weeks and already have seen the benefits. All the trainers are great and they always come up with challenging workouts routines. You will not be bored here. Highly recommend this gym.

This is a wonderful place! Jamie, an owner, is so nice and so helpful. The trainer I’m working with, Robin, is a gift. Some days I have sciatica issues, and she knows just what exercises will help. She comes up with a new and fun routine for every session. And she’s a lovely person as well. The space is very pleasant, with just enough equipment for a great workout.

Haley's barre classes are the best! The class size is max 10 people, the sets are always different and I learn new moves. I'm always sore the next day.

Jaime’s Fitness is the best! I’ve been going there for years and they single-handedly keep me in shape. Reasonably priced, super professional, and so much fun! J’aime and Jimmy, the owners, are the best and highly recommend them and any of their trainers to you if you are looking for a personal trainer :)

Haley's encouragement and positivity make even the toughest workouts feel manageable. To say the least- we love Haley and J'aime fitness!

The team at J'aime Fitness are amazing. The attention to all detail by Jaime and Jimmy shows, from the sparkling new location, to the planning of classes, to their expansion of classes. All the instructors are excellent. I highly recommend J'aime Fitness for personal training or classes. And the price is right.

I've been going to Jaime since early 2021 and I actually look forward to 7a workouts now! Jamie trains me twice a week and for the first time in 40 years, I've now realized how important weight training is and how good you feel doing it. She creates my session just for me, I feel so much stronger and love it. It's an atmosphere where all the trainers know each other and make it fun while working out - it's a great community. I've been to classes as well and the group size is just right and they give you modifications if you need them. It's a good group of clientele who like to have a good time while working out. Jamie and Jimmy are a local neighborhood family who love being in fairmount and their new space next to the post office is perfect for personal training and classes.

I've been working with Jimmy for nearly 2 yrs. He's a great trainer! He encourages me to do more than I would on my own. He has introduced me to new ways to get results and has helped me to see how strong I really am! I've lost 10lbs, and have kept it off. I am more tone than I've ever been. Working with a personal trainer has helped me exercise while dealing with a chronic back issue. Jimmy listens to me and adjusts the workout to accommodate my limitations and level of pain. I highly recommend Jimmy Sutton and J"aime Fitness. The personal touch is obvious from the minute you meet anyone on their team.

Love this new studio! I've been 3x now and used the childcare and love it. It's such a great way to get a workout in and take a baby break :) all of the instructors and babysitters have been great so far. Super convenient for Fairmount families, highly recommend.

I have been a client of J'aime Fitness for over 6 months. My first session was with Jaime who I instantly liked. She was thorough and patient. Since that time, I have trained consistently with Lisa who challenges me just the right amount. My fitness level continues to improve and you can believe that I am never bored! Always something new being added to the mix. If you want to get in shape and are are willing to make the commitment to do your part --- give Jaime a call. By the way, I was in Key West 2 months ago and a stranger complimented me on how great my arms look. Makes it all worth it!

Jaime is a fantastic trainer. She really knows how to tailor the workout to your fitness level while still pushing for better results. I've been with Jaime over a year, lost weight, toned up and she even helped me maintain over summer vacation out of country with a plan. She makes working out fun. It's never boring. I highly recommend Jaime for personal training and group classes.

So I accidentally ran into her boot camp class. I more or less crashed it. I had signed up for a Groupon where you could take classes from different places for one small fee. The problem with that is the "small" fee mostly likely means something is going to go wrong. Go wrong as in, I woke up early, walked all the way to the art museum and THERE WAS NO CLASS!. Yeah no class. I walked all around looking for it, even asking Jamie twice "are you SURE this isn't the class?". I assume she saw the total irritation in my eyes and asked "do you want to join my class?". I did and it was a great class. A great workout without over doing it. She didn't have to let me take her class, but she did and it really made my morning much better. Thanks Jamie :)

I had just completed 3 half marathons and was worrying about hurting my knees and likewise, knew it would become humid so I was into trying different stuff. I went to Jaime for 4 sessions. She was previously a volleyball champ and done sort of different aerobic material, so this would be entirely a new background for me to explore. From my 4 sessions, Jaime introduced me to exercises that I was not familiar with, some of which I was uncomfortable with initially. But by the end, I had new exercises I could add to my workup as I look to do different things than run. What I really like about Jaime though was that she was very personable and easy to talk to. She's really listening to you, hearing you about your fitness needs and concerns. Even when you're not saying anything, she's very observant of body language and can sense what you like and don't like. There was an exercise or two I wasn't love in, I didn't say anything about it, but it when it was done, she mentioned, "Not a fan of it, are you?" For me, she gave different ideas on how to work out which is what I was looking for. For others, I know she will find what you need. Its no accident she already has a a 5 star average (as I write this). She is a good trainer and a good person.

I highly recommend Jaime! I met Jaime when I first moved to the area and I'm so happy I started working with her. Jaime listens to what you're looking to achieve through training with her, and then she tailors the workouts to get you there. The workouts are fun and Jaime does a great job of mixing it up. She also knows when to increase the difficultly or intensity, and she is willing to alter the exercises based on what you're looking for at the time. I've learned so much from Jaime about how to get the most out of a workout and what to do at the gym, and I have tons of new moves from her that I can do on my own. It's so useful that Jaime emails the workouts to me after we do them so that I can replicate the workouts on my own. It's also great that she will come to your home for the sessions. Not only does Jaime know what she's doing, she's also just a great person! Overall I've had a great experience and would recommend her to anyone.

Run, don't walk to J'aime's new space in Fairmount. Just a little background; I had the gastric sleeve surgery at the end of September, signed up with her in October; she researched what my limits were and we slowly worked our way up. I've lost 41 lbs; and I couldn't have done it without her; I have energy, confidence and it's all thanks to Jamie. She knows exactly how to motivate you to do your personal best. There is no judgement, no screaming - but she knows how to get it done.
