The 21 Best Restaurants In Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Whether you’ve been in Berlin a day, a week, or a decade, you should know that ja means yes. At Jaja, you’ll say, “yes, yes,” with every small plate that lands on your table. And you’ll need a few here—the food packs a punch, but there isn’t much of it. Get the fried sea bream with sesame and ginger, the onsen egg, andthe oyster mushrooms in a plum miso sauce. Jaja excels at the Berlin wine bar bistro formula—white brick walls lined with bottles of natural wine, and a small but thoughtful menu using local, in-season ingredients that changes daily. You’ll need to book ahead on weekend evenings, when the bar is buzzing with couples who have just become exclusive, and friends picking at celeriac tortellini before continuing the night elsewhere." - Olivia Ladanyi

Google
It was amazing. They were super kind and especially prepared some delicious vegan plates and a birthday dessert. They have very good wines but also really amazing and original alcohol free drinks. Absolutely perfect.

Nothing better than sharing food & drinks on a Tuesday night… 👌🏼 The atmosphere was super relaxed and while everything was delicious and I am not really a dessert kind of guy, the sorbet with meringue is my recommendation here… 🤤

Please go here! Stellar service, very very thoughtful dishes that make the ingredients shine and are cleverly combined, great wine. Can’t wait to come back.

Wine was good, more expensive than other good wine bars I've attended. The basics were great- bread with amazing butter and cheese with a special plum sauce. But pretty much everything else was disappointing. The more expensive dishes were just not worth the hype, and the service was not very good. I had a nice time but will not return.

Got there without a reservation, it was full hey we were lucky. The waiter was funny and had a great humor which made it very enjoyable. The menu is interesting, prices are o k. I feel like some portions were a little too small, of course the bread was fantastic. Just not quite sure the dishes are fully made to share, as again some of them are… very tiny. Not to be confused with minimalistic, as all dishes are very creative.

Cute, cozy place with good lighting, great food and immaculate vibes. Celebrated my birthday with a couple of friends. We ordered almost the entire menu, and it was divine: fresh, seasonal ingredients with a creative twist.

Google
The wine (which is quiet pricey) was good and the staff knew their way around the products. The starters are solid but main dishes did not deliver for the price demanded. The service did not meet the standard that would be needed for the prices asked (don‘t get me wrong, everyone was nice and friendly, it was just obviously a side hustle type of job for everyone involved)

Google
Positively surprised by the outstanding quality of the food, there was not a single miss (and we ordered almost the entire menu). We especially enjoyed the roastbeef, the hamachi and the celeriac. Would have loved some more options for wines by the glass, but still, the selection was good. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
We came here curious about "natural wine", having tried some in France earlier this year. Three or four tables outside on the pavement. Service was prompt and friendly, we were offered a choice of three reds from which I chose a full-bodied wine from the Ardeche, my partner a lighter, almost rosé. Both were excellent, and after the complimentary saucisson and nuts we ordered cheese (three varieties) and bread (sourdough, I think). Prices per glass were between €3.50 - 5.00. Much more than a passing fashion, this place felt like it had already found its clientele despite only opening recently. Definitely a place to watch.

Yelp
Jaja is a hipster trap. The wine was bubbly and expensive. 0.1L was 7.50 euro. The place was smoke filled from the sardines being fried in the kitchen

Yelp
Tiny portions, big prices. Neukölln service. Wine was nice, Ceviche was good, salami plate was tiny and only a small amount of bread. You will need more than one dish, so if there are three of you, you'll need to order the whole menu (if it is all available). We ordered the ravioli only to find out they had run out. They gave us this information an hour after ordering. Terrible.

Yelp
JAJA it's one of those places that one could come second home. Shop/Wine Place/Bar, amazing food and the most important thing amazing natural wine selection: wine made without chemical and minimum technological intervention. The guys in the shop are also really cool, always up to share their knowledge or suggest a wine for the occasion. Such a little gem! We will repeat for sure!
