10 Great Vegan Latinx Restaurants In NYC

"If you’ve never had vegan Mexican food, or just want to try the best, check out JaJaJa. The popular spot has multiple locations across Williamsburg, the West Village, Hudson Yards, and the Lower East Side. “You would be surprised how many Latin Americans frequent our restaurants specifically because they are plant-based and want to enjoy flavors they grew up eating,” say owners Nima Garos and Koorosh Bakhtiar. While Garos and Bakhtiar are actually first-generation Iranian-Americans who fell in love with Mexican culture after spending summers in Cuernavaca throughout their youth, their chef, Rufino Colex, is originally from Puebla. Order everything from jackfruit tamales, flan, and coconut queso quesadilla, to the excellent meat-free chorizo." - marisel salazar

What an incredible experience at Jajaja this past Monday! As soon as we got to the door we were greeted warmly by the staff and seated quickly. The menu had so many options that I asked for recommendations from the staff and everything was DELICIOUS! I completely forgot it was vegan everything was so flavorful, and the drinks were some of the best I've ever had. Our service was amazing start to finish. I felt very taken care of shout out to the manager Jesus for leading such a great team! Can't wait to return!

I really liked that place. Everything was very tasty. I was also very hungry and the food was brought quickly. Many of the dishes were gluten-free. Cozy atmosphere and good service. One of the best Mexican places. Thank you ❤️

Ja Ja Ja Williamsburg is our favorite spot in New York! This all vegan restaurant has incredible food, and somehow even more incredible service! We visited for brunch + dinner while visiting and both times had exceptional service. Not to mention the location is gorgeous, plus have a mini patio! Our brunch was outstanding!! We had the Chilaquiles Verde, Elotes Pancakes, and Breakfast Tacos. Over a week later, and we are still gushing about the pancakes. We also ended the meal with churros which were delicious. We went back for lunch since I couldn't leave New York without having their nachos! HANDS DOWN the best nachos I have ever had! We also ordered the Chorizo Burrito, Empanada, and Spanish Rice. Their rice is the best Spanish Rice we have ever had. We genuinely loved everything we had! I am coming back to NY later in the year, and already have this as my number one spot to return to! 10/10 both times!

JaJaJa is an absolute game-changer! I’m not vegan, but I was genuinely amazed by how incredible the food tasted. You’d never know it wasn’t your traditional Mexican fare. We just walked in without a reservation around 4pm on a Sunday – super convenient! The vibe inside is fun and cozy, making it a great spot to chill and enjoy a meal. The service? Top-notch. The servers knew their stuff and were really friendly, which always makes a difference. Now, onto the food! I dove right in and completely forgot to snap pics (we were starving!). But trust me, the chimichanga is something you don’t want to miss. Crispy, flavorful, just perfect. And let’s not forget the hot sauces! They're a must-try, and you can even buy them to spice up your meals at home. At just $5 a bottle, it’s a steal! In a nutshell, JaJaJa is highly recommended whether you're vegan or not. Great eats, awesome service, and a cool atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Google
One of the best restaurants I been to! Who knew vegan food can be so delicious. The appetizer, main, and dessert were all amazing. Best part afterwards I don’t feel bloated or guilty :) Everything was well thought out, from the food to the decor. Appreciate all the little details.

Google
I'd kill someone for the Empanada! The drinks were flavorful and not too strong. I had the mushroom and chorizo tacos and enjoyed them. Went back on 5/25 and got the Empanadas, Buffalo Flower tacos, Chipotle Sweet Potato Taco, and a Frozen Magarita. The Empanadas and the Buffalo Flower Tacos are my fave! The Margarita was strong, but tasted great.

Google
This place is gorgeous, location is beautiful with views of the city and the food is delicious and nutritious. Buffalo cauliflower tacos with guacamole is possibly my new favorite food ever. Everything we ordered here was spectacular. Our waitress was so great too, very professional, helpful and prompt. Easy to see why this place is so popular

“Food is not just eating energy. It’s an experience.” - Guy Fieri Get the same experience at JaJaJa Mexicana in Williamsburg. Savor the best service and a variety of plant-based cuisine in an elegant setting. Additionally, their unique drink menu featuring mezcal will make you feel cheerful.

Yelp
If you're looking for great tasting vegan food, this is the spot! I recently came for brunch and I was surprised at how beautiful the restaurant looked. The colors worked well together which fed to the chill atmosphere. My friend and I started with nachos appetizer. It was amazing, we finished the whole plate. I went with Pollo Coco tacos which were absolutely delicious. I also opted for a Cafe Martini, it was good but I tasted more alcohol than coffee. Service was good, super attentive staff - coming around making sure you had water and cleaning up the plates very quickly. I would definitely check it out if you're in the area! PS - I drove here and parking was horrible. There were plenty of parking places.

Yelp
I'm Mexican and have lived in Mexico/traveled all around the country so I'm notoriously hard to please with Mexican restaurants outside of Mexico - that said, this spot is a hit. My friend and I split three orders of tacos so we could each have one of each - the jackfruit, chorizo, and sweet potato tacos. All of them were straight up fire - so full of flavor and a great combination of different tastes in each taco. Hard to pick a favorite, but I think I liked the sweet potato best. Mexican food is wonderful because there are a ton of plant based options, and Jajaja does a great job in showing that. They have fake "meat" but they also just have veggie dishes that don't pretend to be meat, and both are great. The decor here is super cute, the service is great, and the food was fabulous. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Stumbled upon JaJaJa after my original dinner plan fell through, and I will say I am not disappointed at all. When walking in the main seating area was full, so we had the option of sitting on the back or waiting for an available booth we chose to wait the 15 minutes. While we waited, we sat at the bar with Tati who was so sweet and pleasant. I smelled the aroma of popcorn in the air and she showed me that she was making it right on the spot for a cocktail that they have on the menu. She even came to check on us at our table long after we're seated, I thought that was so nice of her. We were called to our table where Anthony was our server. He was honest, patient, kind and gave us plenty of recommendations throughout our dining experience. For drinks I got the Popcorn Y pasión it was ok had a bit to much passion fruit puree for my liking. We also got the Grapefruit Y ginger my friend liked it for me it was very strong and the Cactus prickly pear which comes in a can it was ok. I eventually ordered a Jarritos and was satisfied with that. For appetizer we started with the nachos and of course we added guacamole these nachos were a 10/10! A great portion to share and absolutely delicious. I was a little apprehensive about ordering the pumpkin and beet empanadas however I did, which Anthony recommended. They were really good and that kale on the bottom pushed it over the edge. I must say you should try them you will be satisfied it has beautiful colors, wonderful texture, great crunch on the outside. I also got the Esquites which is basically street corn in a bowl and it was good could have been slightly on the spicier side, my friend who usually doesn't like corn liked this dish though. Now moving on to the entree I wanted to try the chicken tacos which come 2 per order they were good I definitely think I should have went with the cauliflower tacos instead, I also ordered the Chorizo burrito which I ended up taking home now I wish I had enough room to eat it on the spot it was good when I did eat it. I would prefer a little less rice and more chorizo or other ingredients but it was overall good. You can definitely share the burritos here also. For dessert I sided with the churritos which wasn't a hard decision at all it is served with a coconut dulce de leche on the side. The churittos were good served warm but the dulce de leche is amazing! I could eat it by itself it is sweet, has a smooth texture I couldn't get enough! The entire staff here is amazing they work together and are very kind I can't wait to come back and try some other menu options!!! I was so pleased with my experience I asked to speak to the manager Caasi was her name she was also one of the people that came over during our dining to see if everything was alright.

Yelp
Great vegan cuisine--their three dips are amazing, especially their cheese. Loved the two cocktails I ordered, and given their extensive Mezcal list, I know I'll be back for more. Wonderful service, servers and manager were so kind and accommodating! And don't forget to order dessert.

Yelp
We got the jackfruit al pastor enchiladas with their spicy sauce on the side. The box came with the Mexican rice which was actually tastier than the burrito. Anyway the pulled unripened jackfruit was quite unique. They have done a good job but would be a little better if it had a flavor of its own. The entire bite with the enchilada sauce was pretty good. The hot sauce was bomb, it gave the meal a whole other level. We loved it.

Yelp
Jajaja might have been one of my favorite vegan experiences. The nachos were as good if not better than any great plate of restaurant nachos. The restaurant serves vegan food, but the food doesn't taste vegan. You feel great eating it while also eating delicious food. The restaurant itself had a nice, chill vibe to it. Especially in the night, the restaurant was a great date spot. The service was also quick and great! Overall, I can't recommend this place enough.
google avatar

Steven Z.

Yelp
4.5, rounding to 5. Honestly, this is probably the best vegan place I've had. And I love meat. The portions are super large. I got the chicken burrito, which if you didn't tell me was vegan I would have believed it. The Tacos Tazon bowl is also massive, you won't leave hungry for sure. I really like the dim lighting inside -- there are some hip hanging lights and light wood all around the restaurant. My only qualm is that the music is REALLY loud (but could be good for a night out, lots of Bad Bunny).
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
I came here one Friday afternoon. It wasn't busy and since I was alone decided to sit at the lovely bar. The bartender was nice and made a delicious plum y mezcal! I ordered the Chorizo tacos 2per order. However, you could get a 3rd for additional $4. The tacos were tasty but for $6 each a bit over priced for the size. However, there are other things on the menu that looks fantastic, so I will be back to try.

Yelp
it was my first time going to Jajaja Plantas Mexicana in Bk and I have to say that I did have one of the best times of my life. I went with my Primo who isn't vegan at all and he did love everything. It was a great experience, highly recommended please try the NACHOS + Guacamole (bs everyone loves guac) you gonna love it. Their Cocktails are fire . Our server Isabella was so helpful. Also the music is just what you want to hear. Latinos in the house

Yelp
I dont have enough good things to say about Jajaja! The food is always INCREDIBLE, and I have never once thought it was vegan while eating it. They have a magical way of creating dishes to maximize flavor and experience. Portions are perfectly sized, I always walk away satiated but never over full. This is my go to burrito, over meat in this area honestly. The interior is so warm and inviting, with mood lighting but it's not dark. It feels very calming and enhances the food experience. The staff are all lovely, and the cocktail menu is kick ass
google avatar

Yelp
I've heard great things about jajaja and still my expectations were exceeded!! The corn empanadas and fried pescado tacos were absolutely mind blowing. Highly recommend! It's always exciting to see things made gluten free that usually contain wheat flour. So much of the menu is gluten free! The taco shells must be house made, they are delicious and thick. Service is incredible, our waiter was so attentive and pleasant. And the decor is absolutely stunning. My jaw dropped when I came in and took in the ambiance. I felt like I was on vacation in Mexico on this windy dreary day in New York. All around such an amazing experience! I'll be back.

Yelp
Service was outta this word , great service great customer service, great and clean area !! Just the food... the food was so deceiving man , it had no taste what's so ever no seasoning nor flavor taste .. what a waste of money man ... this ain't no authentic Mexican food looked better in pictures. But safe your money and time lol
google avatar

Deborah K.

Yelp
They changed their menu and no longer have the Gordita or the gazpacho. I ordered the enchilada verde which was fine but not something I would order again. The rest of my family was happy with their burritos.
google avatar

Julia M.

Yelp
I came with a couple friends on a Saturday night around 8. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. It's a really cute vegan spot! The nachos were really good, though I could've used more protein. But the chips were crispy and the sauces were amazing. My favorite by far was the pumpkin/beet empanada -- so warm and sweet, without being overly sugary. The ceviche was a nice complement to the empanada, since it was very fresh and tart. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Chinyere E.

Yelp
I am not vegan, but wow, wow, wow. The vegan chicken Gordita is possibly the best Gordita I have had in my LIFE. The chicken was flawless in taste and texture, and as a whole it easily goes toe to toe with every non-vegan Gordita I have ever had. I was also impressed by their vegan cheese, and the fact that I had endless options despite being deathly allergic to wheat/gluten, nuts, and sesame. I have long assumed that vegan food was uniformly going to be chock full of nut and gluten ingredients, so I was so so pleasantly surprised. I'll be dreaming of this food until my next visit. Jajajaja LA anyone?

Yelp
Amazing Mexican vegan food and great cocktails! Service was excellent and attentive and ambiance was very nice. Overall a great bang for your buck!

Yelp
This location accommodates larger parties. Came with a party of 8 with reservations made a day prior. Definitely recommend getting the nachos to share. The kale pancakes are a bit more unique in flavor and may not fit everyone's palate. I was not a big fan of the dried fruit that came with the pancakes as it brought out the bitterness of the kale. The pollo coco tacos were good and the sauce really complements the flavor. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the food as a non vegan. Bathrooms were interesting as each had a different colored lighting.
google avatar

Yelp
Interesting place! We almost didn't realize it was vegan! The food will definitely fool you. The chorizo tacos were great. I think they were a little short staffed but regardless we were taken care of in a timely manner. Drinks were fresh and tasted great. Corn dish was fantastic, could've had 3 more. If looking for an introduction to vegan food, this is a great place to come. The setting is also really chic and cute. Good music in the air and vibes were perfectly chill.
google avatar

Jasmin G.

Yelp
Great, vibey restaurant with a very friendly staff.. We really enjoyed our entrees - I got the gorditas with chorizo which were delicious and my friend got the rice bowl. The gorditas were truly unique and I highly recommend them! The cocktails were incredible and very strong - a dangerous combination! I personally loved the Plum y Mezcal as it's all alcohol and perfect to drink before a night out. ;)

Karen Y.

Yelp
Went here for dinner and asked if the guac had tomatoes. The server confidently said no. The guac came with tomatoes. I alerted the sever who didn't care and walked away. I ordered a burrito without tomatoes. It came with tomatoes. I sent it back. The burrito came back with tomatoes and the server did not care and never came back to check on us. 0/10 would not recommend. Regardless of tomatoes and terrible service, the food was extremely dry and bland.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
I had some really good tacos here. The staff was very nice and my food was brought out pretty quickly. The only thing I would say is that the lemonade was extremely tart and not sweet at all.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
Listen man, jajaja is legit, I wanted to try so much more but I couldn't get past the nachos and the ceviche. They're a must try, trust me! Full of flavor and a much healthier option, you truly won't miss the "real" thing. The staff was super nice and attentive(thank you Karen), if not her, someone else would come by and check on us. Great environment also, my new favorite plant based Mexican spot, going to come back as soon for the rest of the menu! Only negative that I can say was on the drinks side, they were really good, I had an old fashioned but I'm just personally not a fan of those giant ice cubes because as u know, the bigger the cube the less u get in what u pay for.. Presentation is nice but no lol Apart from that, this place gets 5 stars from me! Jajaja, love y'all!
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Jajaja has always been on my list of places to try and finally, I was able to cross it off. This spot is way prettier than I expected- they take their interior design seriously here which makes for a beautiful dining experience. The food is great- fresh and full of flavor. Although, to me, the real star of the show is their unique cocktail menu. A matcha coconut cocktail? They even have a drink that features popcorn. Absolutely delicious.
google avatar

Allison D.

Yelp
I would choose this place over most, if not ALL of the other vegan options every single time within walking distance. The fish tacos are #1 and you could skip the cauliflower ones if you're struggling to choose. I've had them all. The best advice I can give to folks doing take out is that they really should try to eat the food within the hour that it's cooked. I have tried to save some of my tacos leftover from lunch at work a few times and just have them for dinner, but it's just not the same. So yeah, just make sure you eat it all immediately - which isn't hard to do because it's sincerely so delicious. I love their LES location for dining in a bit more!
google avatar

Parija S.

Yelp
Been to jajaja at all locations. They did well with the Brooklyn location. I am impressed with the ambiance and also the view! My god what a beautiful view. The service is on point as usual and the staff is very friendly. My toddler was not a happy camper the evening we visited and the staff did nothing but help. They brought out his food very fast and we're super nice to us. The food as usual was on point. I always get corn on cob and cauliflower tacos and nachos for apps and they did not disappoint. My mezcal old fashioned was a bit on the sweeter side and I learned may be tequila old fashioned is not my thing, but wouldn't blame the restaurant for that. 5 stars! Of note, we order out from here a lot but def recommend going in for a sit down meal.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
I was very pleasantly surprised by this vegan restaurant. Went here with a friend for some finger food and drinks. I got a grapefruit mezcal and we shared nachos with added guacamole which were really good. The manager was new and very nice. He even treated us to churros which come with a vegan dulce de Leche sauce. They were so good and fresh. I will definitely return here.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try out this restaurant since May. I finally had the chance this past Tuesday because I was in the area. It was around 8:00 p.m. and it wasn't too crowded. We got seated right away outside. The server, who happens to be ultra nice, comes out and brings out water and the menus. For someone who's not familiar with the menu, we asked for recommendations. Nachos was on top of the list as well as some street tacos like the "pollo coco" tacos and "buffalo flower". In our hungry state, we said yes to everything and ordered the "sikil pak" on the side. Nachos were tasty. Their chorizo texture gave a nice touch. I enjoyed the abundance of sauce and the cheese. We did not opt for the guacamole but I will next time. Sikil pak's dip reminded my of a pork dip for some reason but it's really crushed Mayan pumpkin seeds, habenaro, and plum tomato. I wouldn't have minded a stronger spice kick. As for the tacos... little did we know, we ordered two sets of tacos thinking it was one in our confusion. We took the pollo coco to go and at the buffalo flower on the spot as that would've been soggy by the time we got home. Cauliflower was nicely battered and definitely lighter than your average buffalo chicken. Very tasty. Though I didn't eat the pollo coco on the spot, I took it home and placed it in the refrigerator. The next day I placed it in the air fryer to heat it up. With the leftover sauce and this newly heated taco. I can't believe it tastes like chicken! Now I want to try all the tacos on the list.

Yelp
I am such a fan of the food ! Everything on the menu is vegan so I don't have to worry about a thing. First time at this particular location and it has a sexy vibe to it, music was great, everything pristine. Looking forward to visiting all the Jajaja locations & trying a new dish every time. Went on a random Wednesday and we were treated great by staff/very attentive. As we walked out we noticed it was busier by the bar area. We loved our privacy towards the back where we were seated. One thing I've noticed with the locations I've been to so far is the drinks. Although they are creative and delicious, they are very much overpriced for what you get and weak. (See pictures) Come for the food & you won't be disappointed, have your cocktails somewhere else in my opinion. Enjoy!!
google avatar

Daisy S.

Yelp
I can honestly say I was impressed by this restaurant!! I am Mexican so I definitely have higher standards for Mexican food when I eat out. The flavors tasted so authentic and I love how they used atypical alternatives for their taco meat. Very creative. We ordered the gorditas with soyrizo, barbacoa tacos, fish tacos, and spicy birria. The spicy birria tacos are not pictured because everything else was so good we had to order more!! Our favorites were the gorditas and the fish tacos. The gorditas were crispy on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside (just like my mom makes them :)). The fish tacos were crispy and refreshing. Also their sauces were actually spicy!! Must try.
google avatar

Leemor Y.

Yelp
Been to their LES location so I knew what I was in for, but they did a really great hob with the decoration and vibe in the new Williamsburg location. The clear winner is as expected: the nachos. Get it with guac. I really enjoyed the tamale as well, probably not everyone's cup of tea. We got a variety of tacos - I was into my second drink so the flavors all kind of blended tbh but they were good. Loooved all the salsas. Playlist: 5/5 for sure. Vibe: 5/5 (also the place is bigger than it looks from the outside!)
google avatar

Judy H.

Yelp
A plant based restaurant with vibrant colors and wonderful decor. I've never been to a plant based restaurant and this place was a great first try. My friend and I split three dishes, the beet and pumpkin empanada, the Buffalo flower tacos, and the spicy birria tacos. We sat outside as we had dogs with us, and there were plenty of free space for our dogs to lay down in the heat. They also offered a dog bowl of water for our dogs to cool down. The beet and pumpkin empanada was delicious and sweet, the pumpkin purée on the top really went well with the beet inside. A little small for how pricey it was ($10) but was nice to split. The tacos had a great presentation and were also juicy with so much flavor. The Buffalo flower was a fried cauliflower and Buffalo sauce, which was a great combo. The spicy birria was indeed very spicy, esp with the dipping sauce. It tasted just like meat! Would definitely come again, because we were outside the service was a bit slower, so we had to flag the waitresses down a couple of times, but overall a nice spot to hit for a quick bite.
google avatar

Tiffany G.

Yelp
I've only gotten takeout from here but each time they were very efficient. I think everything on the menu is vegan. I got the nachos, churros, and chorizo burrito. They were good, but I wasn't mind blown by any of them. Maybe it was overhyped or maybe I spent too much time in California, but for cost vs taste ratio, I thought the food here was alright. I will say the churros were pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of coconut, but I thought the leche was a nice touch for anyone who does.
google avatar

Sha M.

Yelp
This was a great vegan experience in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The chayote fish tacos was so delicious I really thought it was fish. The cookies I could pass on, everything else was on point. Fantastic service, love the energy and vibe from the staff. Great experience. I'll be back. Live, laugh, and love. -Sha

Yelp
I am so annoyed that this was such a bad experience, because I've been to another Jajaja and the food was so good that I wanted to bring another non vegan friend to showcase how good their food is and how authentic it feels despite the whole menu being vegan. The service was abysmal. Like i just don't know how to justify it. I work in hospitality and want to always give the benefit of the doubt, but this was beyond that. To give an example, we ordered the nachos and a burrito. To be clear, I placed the order for the nachos and said "I'm getting the nachos" and my friend said "I'm getting XYZ burrito." My nachos come, I dig in. They're pretty big. We had to ask 3 times for his burrito. First, "I can't check on that I'm not a waiter." (the host). Fine. Then, yeah let me check. Then again, "sorry, i just thought the nachos were your appetizer and the burrito was the entree." In what world, if one person orders an item and another the other, would you bring out the nachos almost 30 minutes before the burrito. Would it not be better to clarify if you want it at the same time if there's any doubt? And i would understand the need to clarify if 3 dishes were ordered, maybe with two apps and a main, because that's not as clear what might be for when. So 45 minutes later, as I'm done with my meal, my friend got his. Not cool. Every time we had to get a waiter, that meant getting up to get someone. No one paid attention to us at all and would whiz by without so much as eye contact. I likely won't come back.

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks at @jajaja The Chorizo Burrito with Spanish rice, fermented beans, guac, smothered with salsa & sour cream was amazing!! The Coconut Queso Quesadilla with guac spinach & basil pesto, serrano, king mushroom, pico de gallo, sour cream & The Verde Enchiladas with green tomato, serrano, palm carnitas, coconut queso, Spanish rice Everything was incredible! And of course don't forget some margaritas :) they have multiple locations and all of them are awesome
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
For a vegan restaurant, it's pretty good. The whole fake meat thing isn't really my jam, but I thought the chicken tacos were decent. The carnitas didn't really taste like carnitas, but the chorizo on the nachos was great. The guacamole & rice were fantastic, and the drinks were great as well. Service was super friendly and the restaurant itself is really cute. Probably wouldn't go back, as I didn't think many of the dishes were a hit, but worth a try!
google avatar

Vianna C.

Yelp
Fun an upbeat atmosphere. There's a lot of booth seating in the front that feels more appropriate for parties of 2-3, but for larger parties, there's table seating in the back. I know there's a lot of positive reviews for this place, so maybe my experience was a one-off. While I appreciated the diverse vegan options here, the biggest complaint I had was that the food was SUPER salty. Felt like I needed to chug water after. The Buffalo cauliflower tacos were also perfectly crispy, but just a little too much sauce and salt for me. Mocktail was refreshing and it is nice they have several non-alcoholic options.

Megan J.

Yelp
Ive been eating at this restaurant for years and im currently on crutches and was passing by and it was a bathroom EMERGENCY. Im on crutches so i can't easily move around and being a usual customer at this restaurant I hopped in to use the restroom . I asked the host politely to use the restroom and she refused me and told me to crutch to the park like a dog. It was very rude and inconsiderate. I won't be coming back.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Very nice spot with good food, now remember because of the area the restaurant is in, you can expect high prices and lesser portions so keep that in mind. My wife and I both shared the enchilada mole along with the carnitas tacos which were both very tasty. The tacos come in two's and three enchilada moles but on the smaller side as well. The drinks are great, I had a frozen strawberry margarita which was sweeter but my wife had the Plum y Mezcal which was just perfect. Also great date spot, the decor inside is very nice although most people opted to eat outside as the day was nice. Good service as well. Overall would recommend.

Yelp
I don't often go to Williamsburg since I live in LI, but when there, I'm sure to find a restaurant with excellent food. Jajaja didn't disappoint. I ordered the Chorizo Buritto. First of all, the large portion satisfied my big appetite. The flavors of the rice, chorizo, sour cream, guacamole, and red sauce were delicious. I want more. I'm going back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Jajaja has been one of my favorite vegan spots for some time now, but I recently visited their outpost in Williamsburg for the first time. I think it may be my favorite! It was a rainy, chilly Saturday night (I swear this won't turn into a horror story) and I was about 10 minutes early for my reservation, so I prayed there was somewhere for me to stand inside as at the West Village location, they understandably won't seat you until your entire party arrives. Due to the weather, my friends were running late. But the kind hostess took one look at me and sat me at one of the booths. It's a festive atmosphere, nothing cliche Mexican. Don't get me wrong. Give me all the Mexican folk art possible, the bright colors and wistful Mariachi music. But I also appreciate the atmosphere that Jajaja has to offer with its natural hues, low lighting and green plants everywhere. The nicest waitress in the world immediately came over for my drink order- oh yes, she read my mind. I needed one. A not too sweet sangria spritz (please don't judge. I had a long night ahead of me) hit the spot. My friends arrived and we went to town on tacos. Dove into queso with chorizo (the best vegan queso in town. Trust and believe). Of the tacos, my favorites are the barbacoa (love the texture of yuba and-- I mean, coconut feta cream. Need I say more?) and spicy birria (all the flavor, all the spice and the rich avocado just makes it next level mouth-watering). Ok, but I loved every single taco that I put in my mouth. You can't go wrong here. I write these reviews for myself as much as I do for others: note that next time, the all day brunch is calling my name. I never ever make it to brunch, so I feel seen. I thought I was in love with Jajaja in the West Village and then the other night I had what I thought would be but a brief fling with Jajaja in Williamsburg, but now I'm contemplating a full-blown affair.

Yelp
i got in sooooo much trouble for this meal and it was worth every bite. before i get into it, i freaking love jajaja. i would eat jajaja every day if it was up to me. i ordered it in twice the week after we went because i was chasing the high that this place gives me. i went here with two of my friends from group therapy thinking that was totally chill and allowed (it wasn't!) but we had the best time! the service is well timed and the vibes were great there was not one but TWO dogs in the outdoor seating area (AND my friend brought her doggie who i totally thought wasn't cute over zoom but was completely wrong on that front!) the heart of palm ceviche was so refreshing. and the tacos were so good i didn't get a pic but the cauliflower one ... run don't walk! our waitress had such cool tattoos and is inspiring the trip i'm going to take soon (thank you!)

Yelp
Delicious food and service! We had the Kale bowl and Dragonfruit tacos. Really great. Our server, Jesus, was also very friendly and professional.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. Specifically the Williamsburg location because it's big and beautiful and near the water. I'm not vegan, but this vegan restaurant recurs in my dreams. The cocktails are excellent as well. Try one of the burritos if you've got a bigger appetite. If you're feeling lighter, the verde enchiladas are very refreshing. Vegan or not, come for good vibes and peak deliciousness.

Yelp
Service, food and drinks were amazing!! I went for my birthday for a quick drink and from the moment i walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The guacamole was delicious, the spicy pineapple was on point (I had 2!!) and when I left they showed up with a birthday card with such kinds words. I will definitely be returning!!

Yelp
I'd rate Jajaja four and a half stars. Came here for a week night dinner with my wife. Tons of tables for two. This place is date night central. We started with the nachos with guacamole. I think the meat emulation was spot on. Tasted exactly like ground beef. The nachos were great and I'd highly recommend them. For the main course, we shared the different tacos: palm, mushrooms, and fried cauliflower. We agreed that the fried cauliflower tacos were the best. Interesting flavors across all three. I was a bit generous with the house sauces on the tacos which were outstanding. Certainly on the spicy side yet rich and flavorful. I had a glass of los siete misterios mezcal with the meal. The smokiness and earthiness of the mezcal compliment the flavors well. Very solid selection of mezcals. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant is vegan and gluten free friendly. They have three gender neutral restrooms.

Yelp
Honestly this is an amazing place. High quality food and attention in the details. The pineapple mezcal was the best cocktail I have had in ages. It's vegan and super tasty....viva la veganismo!!! La comida vegana super rica! Tacos was very good and the darling chicken burrito was also delicioso. Churros also authentic. Service was fantastic. I highly recommend giving this place a whirl.

Yelp
The nachos were excellent! I'm pregnant and they lasted me all day it was such a generous portion. I really enjoyed all the sauces on the side too. Get it with guac for sure. The extra flavor from the cilantro is worth it. My brother got a breakfast burrito and, although he's a meat eater who initially said it wouldn't fill him up, could only manage half before he had to take the rest to go. Great value for the money, and the service was super friendly during a Sunday brunch.
