A 57-Year-Old Suburban Pizza Legend and Two More Closures - Eater Chicago
"Jake’s Pizza has ended a 57-year run in the suburban Franklin Park, 9802 Grand Avenue. The location, not affiliated with the larger Jake’s Pizza chain, was known for its thin-crust pies." - Naomi Waxman
Small hole in the wall with about enough room for 2 people to stand inside while waiting for their pickup order. I paid about $22 for a 12” 2 topping with an order of garlic bread.
Personal preference will have me ordering it well done next time for a bit crispier crust and golden color on the cheese, but there will be a next time. Both the cheese and the sausage weren’t sweating out grease and the large slices of mushroom were clearly freshly cut. Sauce wasn’t too heavy, and that’s just how I like it.
Garlic bread had a nice crunch from the crust, with a generous application of butter and garlic.

I used to order from this place for 5 years, today was my last day unfortunately.
We ordered a 16in Pizza, and we mentioned Don't cut it. Later found out the Pizza was cut.
We gave them a call explaining the situation they gave us the worst attitude and kept hanging up.
Worst customer service ever 👎
They didn't even care to replace it or refund
I don't recommend this place anymore, there is a lot better places nearby

Pizza was good, just as we ordered. We will see how leftovers are in the morning

Simply the best most consistent thin crust pizza in town. Their pizza is always of the highest quality! Their prices continue to be fair and the service continues to be excellent. This family Owned business is a main stay in a town with many pizza options.

First time ordering, will be the last. It was edible, don’t get me wrong, but was it flavorful and out of this world, absolutely not. The pizza was very very bland, not much taste to it at all, the sauce had no flavor, only thing you tasted was the cheese and that was a stretch. In my opinion this is a hard pass. Gave them a shot due to Facebook group recommending them, no deal in my book. Hard pass.

I asked them to not cut the pizza but they did. And it's not a big deal, I get it, busy store, stuff happens, I understand. However when I called in to report this and ordered another pizza and was going to pay fo it. But the manager told me no, I cannot order another pizza and hang up. Hung up on me 3 times... First and last time for this spot. I actually ordered from here cause I was ordering with multiple people who are returning customers for years. They will also stop going here! Giannis or Grand stand has better pizza and good service.

Pizza was amazing. Little Family own place right on Grand Ave. The 12" pepperoni pizza was delicious. And with the purchase you get the 1 liter pops a dollar each. Good deals and very nice men. Really appreciate them let me use the bathroom on this hard times. I'm an Amazon worker so we appreciate restaurantes like that. Definitely will be stopping more often for some pizza. Would love if they add more stuff to the Menu.

Outstanding by far! Every great business starts from beginning to end and that's exactly what I got! I was very happy to have a delivery driver that was respectful and considerate. This place just gained a long time customer! I ordered my 🧀 and onion and 🥓 small pizza at 12:20am when every decent place was closed. I am so glad I took the chance! Thanks to the cool delivery dude! 👊🙌😁
