You can try their horchatas and agua frescas: pineapple, watermelon, hibiscus, cucumber/lime, mango, strawberry horchata, and horchata! The watermelon is seasonal so we had to get it and it was delicious! The strawberry horchata was the winner though! The staff were amazingly helpful in choosing what dishes. We had such a great experience! This really is a Sonoma County best kept secret!

This food is so delicious and fresh specially the quesabirrias 🤫 I would like to hide this place for my self only but it’s hard not to tell everybody

Birria tacos are amazing! My son wanted to try them after seeing them all over social media. I Googled "best birria tacos in Santa Rosa" and this place popped up. We ate 5 and got 8 more to take home. Mango agua fresca was perfect, the horchata was extra vanilla-y. Service was excellent, everyone was super nice and helpful. The place was also very clean. We are now following this business on Instagram and can't wait to go try some other things they posted.

My son has been dying to taste their Birria Mac and Cheese Bomb since he saw their Instagram page, but we were unaware that they only served them at their restaurant, which is also on Sebastopol Road, so I went to one of their taco trucks yesterday. Since we arrived at the incorrect place the kind man Johnny who assisted us gave us two complimentary drinks. That struck me as considerate. They gave us our drinks when we got to the restaurant, and they were really kind and provided us with excellent customer service. They also created a batch of bombs from scratch because none of them were already made. I strongly advise you to check this place out. In addition to providing excellent customer service, they also provide delicious food and are incredibly kind and hospitable. We will definitely be returning. PS they made the food in a mannerly time and the strawberry horchata is a must! 5/5

This place is so good! I ordered their birria quesadilla, which was massive. It tasted delicious and fresh. The quesadilla came with the lettuce, a salsa, and a little bit of sour cream on the side. Had to order the consomé separately, but it was worth it as it also had a lot of flavor to it. Their strawberry horchata was also really good and not too overpowering. They serve all orders when dining in with some chips and salsa. I will definitely be coming back to try more things on the menu!

I am used to ho-hum service at similar establishments in town. The service here was exceptional! Our table was cleared for us and we were offered something for free even though we had forgotten to order it. We ordered the birria tacos with consomme. It was an excellent meal. We will return for just this meal.

We ordered the street and birria tacos from here. They’re pretty good and cheesy. Unfortunately, the tacos were very oily. They were leaking oil with every bite. It was leaking more that my 95 Jeep Cherokee 😂 The chips were stale and hard as a rock.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is outstanding and very authentic. And everyone there is so friendly and hospitable. They go out of their way to make it a great experience.

Ordered tacos at the Jalapeño food truck and it was great, I figured I would add a picture of their menu since I didn't see a recent one here.

They forgot about my order and when I asked them about my order after 20 minutes they tried to give me the wrong order. Less food than what I paid for... when I told them the right order they gave me some plain tacos so I went back to get everything on them and the cooks rolled their eyes at me. Cold food and horrible service.

Very good quesobirria tacos and consome. I got Jalapeño about 4 years ago as my first time trying birria and it still is really good. This was my first time trying their chips and salsa and it was very great. I would definitely want to come back for their torta and horchata. They were a little slow when we were the only ones who were there but that can be overlooked when the food is good.

Love Jalapeños! They have all the viral birria eats! Birria ramen, birria pizza, it's all so amazing! The beef is so tender and juicy. Service is homey and kind. There's only one bench to eat though, but it's far from the Mitote food parks music if you're not good with loud music.

Very friendly young lady at the order/cashier station. Birria was the BEST and their steak tacos were fresh and flavorful. Although it's a small and simple Mexican restaurant, you can tell they care about their diners and the quality of their food.

This food location is highly recommended. Came here for brunch with my family, first spot here that has quesabirrias and let me tell you they are delicious. I also ordered a huarache and it was so good. This place is pet friendly and can accommodate parties of 5. The service and great and the workers are really friendly. I also highly recommend the agua de pepino its soo good!!

I love love the taco birrias here!!!! So much flavor and they give u a lot of birria on your tacos, nice and full. The queso birrias are also one of my favorites as well with the consume broth cup. The horchata water is also really good not to sweet just perfect!

A coworker told me about this place. Ordered two Birria Tacos to go and thought they were super yummy! Definitely will be back.

Yummy queso birria tacos. Though a smidge pricy ($5 each) and the inside of the restaurant doesn't make me want to stay long. The tacos are filling though and 2 is plenty. Make sure to ask for a healthcare worker discount if you work for a health care provider or are a first responder. I think it's 5-10% off. Appreciate them for that!

LOVE this place. It's our go to Mexican food. We get enough for left overs so we are sure to enjoy the meal again. Pairs wonderfully with eggs the next morning.

This place is gold!!! Wow, we were so surprised. It's backed into a small cut on a bust road. They also have multiple food trucks in multiple locations. The food.... Wow! Best birria I've ever experienced. I had the birria burrito and it was a 10/10. My girlfriend had the birria tacos with rice and beans also a 10/10. A couple mango aqua frescas hit the spot as well. Beware the burrito is massive, probably 10 inches long and Carry's some good weight . Highly recommend this place!

We went to Jalapeños after trying their food truck. I'll say I really enjoyed our food. They tend to lean more into Barilla tacos which I really like. I prefer the truck myself. The brick and mortar add nothing other than a place to sit down inside. In this area there are a lot of good Mexican places this the three stars. I'd recommend trying their truck first. Tacos are delicious and very filling. Give them a try.

Overpriced. Really don't know why we keep returning except they have a decent bar and my kids like cheeseburgers which they serve even when we are craving Mexican . I tell myself every time that I won't be back again.

Excellent spot for Mexican food! I have gone here for a few years now and I must say that I enjoy all their food. Today I came back here again with some friends and it did not disappoint! The inside of the restaurant is very casual, you go the front order your food and sit down anywhere. Service is fast here and they get your food out within less than 10 minutes. I had the quesa birria tacos tonight which are a huge favorite. Then one of the people I was with got this thing that looked like a Mexican pizza called a guache (idk if that's the name lol) but I had a bite and tried it which was so delicious. I definitely would order this food next time I go! Totally recommend this place to anyone and I can't wait to come back.

Hidden gem. Outstanding food and service. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the county. Prices are reasonable and not excessive.

Good food and friendly service!! The shrimp taco wasn't what I expected but was still good. It was more like a mini shrimp quesadilla in a corn tortilla. I'm not a fan of cheese in tacos but this worked. The dining partners enjoyed their birra tacos. The horchata was fantastic. Would not hesitate to eat here again.

Great service, friendly and polite!!!! Got 6 carnitas street tacos and a carne asada and carnitas burritos food was tasty and good quality and of course their prices are not updated on the yelp app just be aware still very reasonable in these times, I look forward to trying other dishes here in the near future!!!! I actually give them 4 .4 stars so it's definitely worth checking out and trying they are really busy and parking can be very challenging just an FYI !!!!!

This is a review for the taco truck in front of the gas station. Foods bomb. Always on point. Usually ive had great service there at truck. But today the young guy working had a piss poor attitude. Zero customer service. Acted like he didnt want to be there, act like he never heard of the words hi, how are you, thank you or youre welcome. Funny thing is he sure said all those things to the white dude that got his food before me. Food be too exspensive these days to act like an a hole when working at a food establishment. Sebastopol road is fulllllll of other options. Ill give this spot another shot. But if lil homie is working i might just keep rollin. Instill good customer service in your employees. Im sure lots of people enjoy feeling welcome when choosing to spend money at your truck.

I love coming to jalapeños. Their chips and salsa are amazing! I come for their Quesabirrias and Gorditas are delicious . There agua frescas are great too especially Horchata it taste like how made and not just from powders. Always great music and amazing customer service. Is a place that you definitely need to try.

This place is mouth watering it's so good you will keep coming back again and again. Very nice large servings no skipping corners at this Jalapeno Mexican Grill I would love to see them up at the fair this summer! I had Birria Tacos, and Birria quesadilla and my friend had Birria white mac n cheese very good!

The food was all so good , but way spicy for my preference. I find the pricing to be decent as well . They have outdoor and indoor seating . I'd definitely recommend to someone who loves Birria, they have a couple great options on what to order .

I stumbled upon Jalapeño (restaurant) when texting my neighbor about delicious birria that I had tried at my friend's house (shout out to Cassie, you know where it's at). In response, my neighbor sent me pictures of a local birria spot here in Santa Rosa. These pictures of birria and agua fresca had my tummy rumbling and my mouth salivating. "When can we go??" I asked. My neighbor responded: "today can be my cheat day" (she's a flexible vegetarian so she was sacrificing her vegetarianism for birria...it's that good). Seconds later, we drove to Jalapeño (restaurant) and the rest was history.... Warning: this next part will have your mouth watering so unless you have Jalapeño (restaurant's) birria right in front of you...be prepared for sensory overload. I went to Jalapeño with a crew. Each of us had a different plate. Overall, we give Jalapeño (restaurant) a 5/5 and here is why: Pros: birria hit the spot, HUARACHE is FIRE, quesabirria is a cheesy heaven, aguas frescas are revitalizing, and staff are super cool. Cons: Jalapeño is amazing but they need to write separate addresses on their yelp page (for their taco truck and restaurant). The address is confusing to customers and can cause a customer to drive to the taco truck location (aka me). I found Jalapeño because my friends drove with me and my neighbor had gone before so she was able to find the location off of memory. During our food sesh, I had each of my friends talk about their experience and this is what they each shared: Lis got the Huarache and reported: "Great portion, great taste." Lis' comment made me wanting to know more so...days later, I went back to Jalapeño (by myself...No shame in that) and bought the Huarache (for the meat, I chose a combo of al pastor and carne asada) and found it to be a euphoric experience. Furthermore, their huarache is my FAVORITE thing on their menu! If you go here, you HAVE TO try this! More on this dish later... Dan got the quesobirria and said this: "It was amazing!! Tasted like a cheesy heaven and I thought it was well seasoned and really yummy. The only one I've had but the BEST!" Dan also got the Quesobirria taco and this is what he shared: "It was a perfect combo between cheese, meat, and toppings that paired really well with their red sauce." Mel got a quesotaco as well and shared this: "I've tried all their food here but I felt like this one is the most balanced one for me. The seasoning is flavorful and just makes me want to TAKE MY TIME. Finally, I got a gordita and taco and this is what I thought: Both were deli and super cheesy and rich but my absolute FAVORITE was the huarache. My friends got the huarache with al pastor and carne asada mixed together and holy moly that was FIRE!!! I went back yesterday just for the huarache and it hit the spot! That with their TASTY and REFRESHING cucumber/lime Agua Fresca (which I finished before eating) made me way too happy. It has onion, cilantro, cream, seasoning, red sauce, and a fried tortilla that is perfectly flavorful and makes you wanting more. Each bite is an experience. Also, the drinks here are the best drinks i've every had! Be sure to try their cucumber/lime Agua Fresca. You won't regret it! Additionally, for milk lovers out there..they have a strawberry horchata drink that Dan said was yummy! I am definitely coming here several more times until I tire myself out (although that may be impossible)....If you haven't tried this spot, you are truly missing out. My family and I are always on the hunt for good Mexican especially good birria. We ordered the queso tacos with everything, the quesabirria with only meat and cheese, cosine and horchata. The staff was nice and made sure to double check our order before placing. The food came out quick and tasted amazing! I could drink the costume it's so good. The tacos had a nice heat to it and was very balanced in flavor. Our kids loves the meat and cheese quesabirria ans we all chugged the horchata! Will definitely be back.

I love this little place. Service is fast, they are quick to get you your food. I love their quesobirria tacos. Two is more than enough to fill you up! So delicious.

It's hard to stand out with all the great Mexican food here in Santa Rosa, well jalapeño grill does just that. The Berria tacos here are absolutely amazing. I'm snow get a craving for these delicious tacos once a week it seems. I have yet to explore anything else on the menu and I will soon because the tacos are a can't miss!

This is review is for the taco truck next to the gas station on Sebastopol rd. I've been craving Birria all day, and so I ordered Queso tacos. They were DELICIOUS! Definitely satisfied my craving! The food was amazing, and the young man named Jose was very nice. He was even compassionate when I could not properly pronounce Birria. (I'm working on it!)

So I wanted to update my review because I received some feedback from Luke. It would be great for the people Answering the phones to communicate what they do and do not have accurately. When I called they said they only had birria. No steak or chicken but apparently seafood is an option? Unclear given I spoke to two people on the phone and seafood was not mentioned

10/10... First and foremost, their Birria is so soft, succulent and full of that consomé flavor. Second, their ramen noodles have absorbed said consomé flavor. Next time I get this I'm going to ask to add some cheese into it. Get this as soon as possible. Literally drooling thinking about this!

Two visits to Jalapeño Mexican Grill on two separate dates and we were NOT disappointed! Don't let the location or interior deter you from this delicious gem of a restaurant. The Birria Tacos are so good and you must pair it with their Horchata. They have plenty more go to items on their menu, but we can't get enough of these tacos. Gustavo greeted us both times and made sure we were taken care of. He was kind and provided exceptional service. We are already planning on bringing our friends and family to share this secret. They have outdoor seating set up, limited indoor seating, and a single stall bathroom.

Good food, huge birria quesadilla although wish we knew the consomme wasn't included. The meat was very good and very large portions. Definitely preferred the tacos over the quesadillas

Everything is Birria and good stuff too. I got the quesoBirria and it was too much cheese. Most places rip you off with the queso, this place doubles down. Tasted great but harsh on the belly. I will have to go with something a little more light next time.

The quesabirria tacos are solid, and the Consume is pretty good, just wish the spoon was a little bigger, not sure if I got the standard size or maybe a smaller than usual one, but it was a lot of spooning for the 32 oz consume.

This has to be the nastiest Mexican food that I have ever tried. I went to the taco truck at the Sebastopol Flea Market. I ordered a regular burrito and the burrito was overly spicy and overly priced. I asked for a carne asada burrito and I got the nerves of a cow. Not even meat and this is the grossest part of the cow. I will never order from the taco truck or the restaurant.

The food here is amazing!!!! Today was my first time here and before I return to Hawaii and when I come back I definitely will be coming back. On the Big island of Hawaii I have not found anything like this since I moved there. Yummy.

Solid birria tacos and the consume was chuggably good. Definitely a meal that makes you feel warm and happy inside. The horchata was pretty yummy as well. I also got super lucky because there was no wait and the guys working were super friendly.

First time coming here and won't be the last. I'm from San Francisco and I know what good Mexican and Salvadorian food is and this place is fantastic. The Pupusas are on point the salsa and curtido extremely tasty. Also the Michelada was delicious and came in a huge mug.

Had dinner with Friends on a Thursday night. We got outdoor sitting, a few tables. My boyfriend and I ordered queso-birria, a huarache, and a queso-taco!and a large cucumber/lime water. Prices reasonable. Food was delicious. My first time having birria tacos. Overall, I gave it a 3 star because food was greasy! Picking up my queso- birria, grease would drop into the plate. Not very healthy... but yummy. Did not finish my food as my stomach could not take it. I am glad I tried it, but it is not a place I would go regularly.

food is okay I got the queso quesadilla and it was extremely to cheesy ! It wasn't even cut ! They also didn't give any utensils and when I asked for avocado in my burrito it wasn't in there. It's pretty upsetting to enjoy the burrito when there isn't any Avacodo and I paid for it !

The besssst birria in all of Sonoma County! If you haven't done so already, stop what your doing and head over there for at least two birria queso tacos!! If you're really feeling hungry the tacos pair best with their signature birria ramen! You won't be disappointed! Complete your meal with one of their delicious Aqua Frescas, and you'll be thanking me later for this post!! Soooooo goood!
