Tasty Spanish tapas — we ordered several from the menu, and they were all very good, though nothing mind-blowing. Perfect spot to enjoy beers, wines, and pair them with a few tapas.

Love this charming place. We dine weekday evening, so a bit loud for a nice conversational dinner. Their valet was a ripped off, use parking meters. Ensaladilla rusa was excellent. Ham croquettes were fine.

In Polanco's midst, a gem doth lie, Jaleo by name, under the sky, A Spanish sanctuary, this place, transporting one through time and space. A merry feast of tapas grand, a culinary trip to Spain's own land. The Solomillo, tender and true, bathed in a sauce of flavor imbued, Each morsel tender, a pleasure pure, a dish in memory to endure. Each bite a journey, each taste a trip, from heart of Spain to eager lip. The Gambas al Ajillo, a marvel keen, fresh as a wave from ocean's scene, Cloaked in a garlic sauce so fine, the taste a dance 'twixt sea and brine. A dish of joy, of sea's sweet kiss, a testament to culinary bliss. Jaleo's charm, its soul, its art, wraps 'round thy senses, warms thy heart. Its service kind, its ambiance bright, Jaleo's a beacon in the night. A Spanish haven, a joyous spree, in Mexico's heart, for all to see. Thus, commend I Jaleo's fare, for none with it could ever compare, A Spanish tale in every plate, a dining experience truly great. So, hie thee hence to Jaleo's door, for food and joy forevermore! A postscript, friends, to my tale so merry, a regret that might seem quite contrary. So wondrous was each tapa, each dish, that to pause for a picture was an impossible wish. Before a snap could our repast grace, every morsel vanished, leaving no trace. So sorry, dear reader, no image to see, but trust in my words, 'twas a feast fit for thee!

Very lovable and cozy place, the food tastes amazing but if you are hungry not really an option, drinks option are good, service is really good and the tapas flavor is amazing just a little more expensive that one could've expected

Google
We had our first disappointing dinner in Mexico City here. We thought Jaleo was part of the José Andrés restaurant group based on the name and logo, but it turns out there’s no affiliation. The food was lackluster—meatballs looked and tasted like canned food. Prices were high, and the waiter pushed us to order way too much. With so many great options in CDMX, I’d skip this one.

Best spanish tapas I've had in years. Service was also outstanding. The boquerones, baby faves, and calamari were excellent.

Google
I chose this place bc it's quaint & seemed like a cute place to sit & chat for a couple of hours and that we did! The service was definitely better than the food, but the atmosphere was what I appreciated most. It's a cute, laid-back spot with great people watching and comfortable enough to sit and enjoy your company for a while.

Good things first: Food is very good, good quality and portions reasonable. If you have visited Spain and know how much a place like this would cost there then this would be very expensive. Bad thing: Service. It is simply terrible waitress was rude and impolite all the time she never made us feel comfortable. We asked her for a couple of things and answers were rude. There are much better price-quality options for tapas in Mexico City

Yelp
Small hard to find place. Even harder to find parking around the area on a Friday night for dinner. Our part6 of three shared a few small plates followed by some entree sized plates. Tried the papas bravas and padron peppers for appetizer. The pappas were in a nice combination of some spicy sauce and what seemed like mayo. Tasted wonderful! The Pollo Al Ajillo was terrific as the chicken just fell of the bone. Juicy thigh served with a garlic herb sauce and fries. The sirloin steak was great as well. Place is small but busy and worth it. Good service.

Yelp
This place has terrible food, I ordered arroz meloso and I got what you see in the picture. Over salty rice swimming in oil. Then morcilla, not good. Pan cristal, crunchy bread without flavor. Anyway don't waste your time or dollars

Yelp
Great food and ambiance!! Sat outside directly in front of the square!! Their dessert is also exquisite

Yelp
I can't imagine this place having good reviews. We tried the morcilla, the Jamón serrano, the papas bravas, croquetas de jamón. The price point is equivalent to a restaurant in LA and everything was not good. The jamón serrano tasted like plástic. It was over five dollars for a dry slice of morsilla on one slice of bread. It is incredible how restaurants can charge so much for food that is not of quality. You're better off going elsewhere. 2 people came out to 130 dollars. This place sucks.

Yelp
Jaleo is a great Tapa and Bar spot in a busy area of Polanco across from the park. The seating is tight, but there's outdoor spots with great people watching. The beer and wine list is a bit limited, but the food is consistently very good. Great place to meet for a Happy Hour!

Yelp
Very good Spanish tapas restaurant. Authentic Spanish dishes and flavors. Short but good Spanish wine list. Very happy to have found this restaurant in Mexico City, and will certainly return on future trips.

Yelp
Very good food and good sangria there! Lots of different types of tapas, which was very fulfilling. It's good to come late night-ish to enjoy some Spanish food.

Yelp
It's a small, casual place around the park area where it's always busy. The tapas were good and you can doodle on the tables while you eat/drink your troubles away!
