17 Don’t-Miss Drive-Ins and Drive-Thrus in Northern California | Eater SF

"This Mexican favorite is a go-to drive-thru for San Jose, where locals roll through the drive-thru, especially late at night, loading up on carnitas and carne asada." - Becky Duffett

I asked for no cheese but still got cheese on my food. The atmosphere of the place is pretty sad. There was a long line of drive-in. The food did not taste that good. Quite disappointed honestly

Always buzzing with cars in the drive-in. Even at the late nights. Have been here multiple times and was satisfied with the food every time. This time we ordered tacos, sope and burrito. We liked the tacos better, they were juicily delicious. Sope was good too. Burrito can have more meat, felt it was more rice than meat. Nachos are must have. Best thing is menu is designed to be simple. If you eat only chicken(pollo), there are two types, grilled and shredded(marinated). Note: Google/Apple Pay not accepted here.

Food is pretty good. One of the better burrito places I've been to. Open late and they have a drive thru (first I've ever seen). I would recommend trying at least once.

This is my second time in, both times the food has been really good and the price point might actually be on the lower side “IMO” They are located in a parking lot with 10 or so other small businesses “no I didn’t count” near to the basketball courts. “across the street” The outside of the building and the building itself is nice. The inside is nice but slightly dated “no big deal” patrons walk in and know the owner by name. “Good sign” The owner makes sure you know what you’re getting when you order, I ordered a chorizo with potatoes burrito, he asked if I would like eggs and cheese on it? Me, heck yes! Wifey ordered a veggie burrito, comes with a side salad “I ate the salad, sooo good, the dressing has a sweetness to it” Wifey loved the veggie burrito, my burrito was freakin yummy, as well and when I added one of the 3 dipping sauces to it, it stepped it up a whole Nother level. Bottom line.... the inside looks dated but the food is on point and the price point left me wondering why I have not come back more often?

Been coming here since Aug 96'. Back then it was a tiny shed almost that had great tacos and burritos. They expanded to the restaurant they have now. Over the years they added a lot of new choices only to take them away. I guess they decided to stick with what they did best. Menu is small as it used to be years ago but everything is solid. They have some of the best asada anywhere because it's tender and never gristley. It gets busy in the evenings but just a sign of how good this place is.

This place gave me one of the worst carnitas burrito I ever had….but since it had no meat, it was really a RICEaritto. The few pieces of carnitas I did get were hard as a rock. I’m literally squeezing the meat with my nails in the photo as hard as I can. If I put all the carnitas pieces into a sock, I could knock someone out with it.

I like going there because it's a drive thru, and most of the time good food. But this time the food was cold and the lady was almost over charging me!

We hit this up as a late night drive thru. Food was okay, had to eat in the parking lot, no where to sit. Probably won't be back.
