JAM Brussels

Good value for money. Very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Safe and welcoming neighborhood. Friendly staff. Quite close to city center. Space in four-bed-room was a bit narrow. When reserving and mentioning that we”d travel by car, we were unfortunatly not advised about the required number plate regsitration for the Brussels Low Emission Zone. This is going to cost us a 450 Euros fine.🥲

The decoration of the hotel looks nice and the rooftop bar and swimming pool are a nice touch. The location is also decent; not right in the city center but at walking distance. The room we had was spacious enough and logically decorated, however the beds are a bit too hard to sleep well on. Moreover, our shower would suddenly just turn very hot for 1 second every few minutes for no reason and also the shower head would not stay in place because it was pulling to the side of the wall because of the way how the cable is attached. The swimming pool is nice to chill but it is a few degrees too cold unfortunately. On one of the nights we stayed here the people staying upstairs were making a lot of noise and we couldn't sleep because of it. That should not be the case in a hotel, especially not one in this price class. The rooms were pretty clean btw.

JAM is located in a lovely residential neighbourhood just outside of Central Brussels. There are lots of wine bars, restaurants and bars located a short walk away. JAM itself is quirky and full of character and decently priced, however I would avoid Room 601 at all costs unless you want to be kept awake by the roof-top bar until very late at night.

So the hotel itself was great. |My issue was with them taking the payment a week before, I actually booked pay on arrival. This left me short on money in December. |We had a power cut. Rang downstairs sat in the dark for half hour waiting for someone to come or ring back, nothing. But then the lights worked.

JAM's front-desk staff is off-the-chart excellent. We had a snafu in our reservations and they helped us to clear it up. |The lobby decor is so funky cool as are the rooms. The room staff was very attentive. |The restaurant is 5 stars! We ate almost everything on the menu. |It is on a major tram line.|I will stay at JAM my next visit to Brussels.

Very noisy rooms if you get the last floor rooms due to the bar upstairs. They had no option but to provide earplugs. Not really enjoyable if you're on a business trip. I come to a hotel to have some good sleep otherwise I would go a hostel for backpackers. When you book the room, you don't get any warning and you don't get to choose which floor you would like to stay in. It would be better to inform...

Terrible experience from the start, they gave us a room on the top floor that was filthy with liquid stains on the walls, stains on the curtains, absolutely no wifi, and a room with a window to a public staircase where people smoke. We had absolutely no privacy unless we closed the curtains 100% of the time. Theres also a rooftop bar above this room that would have gotten extreme noisy and been impossible to sleep through. We checked out two hours after receiving our room as they couldn’t give us another room and couldn’t guarantee wifi would work which was important for us as we work remotely. My family also stayed there and had better rooms luckily but when they needed help with a phone the staff at the desk were sarcastic and rude. Really terrible experience right before the holidays but luckily we stayed at hotel Manos premiere down the street and had an amazing experience there. More expensive but 100% worth it. It’s a great location as there’s a lot to do around the hotel but hotel JAM is not worth the money you pay to stay there. Now we are in an annoying battle to get refunded for a reservation we did not complete.

It’s a good choice for 4 people family regarding price. But the hardware condition is not good. Not to mention the dark & narrow corridor, the lights of our room was turned off accidentally and not recovered in 30 minutes. We had to change to another room which also had one broken light. Considering the decoration style(strange painting and raw), it’s not suggested to family with kids.
