Lovely stay with unpleasant surprise. Pros: + Great views all around. From poolside to the rooms you always see the sea. + Service was great. Especially at the pool but also for breakfast and dinner. The team is just lovely. Plus was also that if you want a scooter it is directly brought to the hotel. + Diving experience. We went out with Tobi and he was just the best diving instructor ever - super calm, clear and knows the area so well. So plenty of fish. Cons: - Stairs. You have read it a lot but it’s true. From our room to the reception it was the equivalent of ~10 stories, which is fine as long as you are fit :) - The biggest upset for us: Cash was stolen from our room. The director tried to investigate and kindly offered a discount on the services we used, but in the end it was a big trust breaker for us. If you go there keep everything (!!) in the safe.

Beautiful view and the new villa rooms are worth it. This hotel does have a lot of steps and requires either a taxi or scooter to get anywhere given the steep hills to get up to the hotel, and it’s quite far from town. ||The breakfast buffet was not great in comparison to others we’ve had in Thailand but the restaurant’s thai food lunch and dinner options were good. ||The housekeeping staff were not helpful and all seemed to hide/hang out on their phones on the 3rd floor hallway instead of cleaning rooms. The front desk staff were a little better but the hotel overall definitely lacks a level of customer service. ||If you’re very into diving and okay with renting/driving a scooter this hotel is a great option, but for those looking for something with less coordination best to book elsewhere.

We stayed here for three nights. Hotel: This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is clean and well-maintained both inside and outside. Room: We chose a room with a private balcony and a sea view. The room was very clean and had a pleasant fragrance. Location: We decided to stay here mainly because the hotel is located at Shark Bay. We saw sharks and four sea turtles. One of the turtles was the large one that many of the staff had told us about. Service: Room service is handled via WhatsApp, which was very convenient. However, the drinks arrived in paper coffee cups, which was a big disappointment. Who wants to drink a Mai Tai out of a paper coffee cup? The staff is incredibly friendly and service-oriented. Price: I think the price is very reasonable considering what you get. I’ve stayed at more expensive hotels with much lower standards in terms of service, room cleanliness, and overall quality. Food: We didn’t eat at the hotel. Hotel restaurants rarely have great food, so I always prefer to dine elsewhere. I can recommend a nearby restaurant called "Eagle View," where you can enjoy fresh fish. It’s a bit of a rustic spot, but it has a beautiful view and friendly staff. We didn’t pay for breakfast, so we didn’t try it and can’t comment on it. Summary: The snorkeling is excellent if you go early in the morning or swim out around 5-6 PM. During those times, we saw both sharks and turtles every time. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are lovely. I highly recommend this place. I stayed here last year as well and had the same great experience.

This is a lovely hotel located up a very steep hill. We stayed here during severe rain and flooding and the staff helped us navigate scheduling and laundry pickup hurdles. There are quite a lot of stairs at the resort so be prepared to walk! The hotel provides a shuttle service several times a day and the front desk can help coordinate other forms of transportation. Very beautiful location but the island is difficult to get around unless you know how to ride a motorbike! There are also several friendly and cute cats roaming around the hotel in the outdoor areas.

Stayed for 4 days 3 nights. The front desk staff, Fifaj was impolite and rude. He did not offer to bring us to our room when we were waiting at the restaurant and when we asked for the directions to our room, he appeared unwilling and sighed before giving unclear instructions. The porters were friendlier. Even the restaurant staff was unfriendly ( Fifa lookalike). I was told to remove my footwear and he wanted me to move my footwear to the right instead of leaving it on the left. ( who is he to tell the guests how to leave their footwear behind) But due to his bad English I did not get what he wad trying to say until I saw him moving my foorwear. The only good thing is the view. Will never return

Absolute paradise! We were here now for the second time. The Jamahkiri Dive Resort is pretty much as what you would describe as a paradise. The staff is absolutely friendly and passionate in what they do. The quality of food and drinks is perfect. The dive club which belongs to the resort is also very recommendable. It’s an SSI station with lots of motivated and very competent dive guides. Organisation it’s perfect! The last days we had five wonderful dives with our dive guide .Pierre I’m pretty sure that our third is not too far away. Thanks to the whole crew!

This place is truly magical! If you’re visiting Koh Tao, I highly recommend booking one of the villas. The views are incredible, and you’re treated to breathtaking scenery from every corner of the resort! 🌅 One of the highlights was snorkeling, where we had the unforgettable experience of a cute turtle popping up to say hello 🐢👋🏻! It was the perfect island vibe! 🌴

This is a true 5* resort. Beautiful grounds, great pull, awesome service, amazing rooms... Giving it 4, not 5 stars for a few reasons: 1. Horrible, often non-existant WiFi in the rooms. It is better at the pool and the common areas, but not exactly good either. 2. Food is a hit and miss. Breakfast is good, but the choice is very limited, and quality is unstable. Ordered soft boiled eggs, got hard boiled. Strangely, the breakfast plate comes with 1 stripe of bacon, 1 tiny sausage, half of a small tomato, and 1 piece of potato. Cheeseburger and Club sandwiches were good, and tuna salad (Nicoise) was OK, but bruschetta was so salty, it was impossible to eat. Coconut and pineapple pancakes were delicious. 3. Stairs. A lot of stairs. The hotel is built into a mountain, and if you have difficulty getting up or down the stairs - stay away. It is not for you. Other than that, there is not much to complain about. The views from the hotel are exactly like in Thailand marketing pictures. You can go snorkle right from the small beach hotel has, and there is a free shuttle running to the port a few times a day. A truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. Unless you have to work or do something online, then it is stressful. But yes, I would stay again.
