Highly disappointed Rice and peas absolutely mushy! The food itself reminds me of hospital food. Who serves such food in a soup container? Wouldn’t recommend. Flavours aren’t equivalent to authentic jerk chicken and rice and peas. Definitely wouldn’t be going back.

I stopped by the Canary Wharf branch of Jamaica Patty Co and honestly… I’m so glad I did. I’ve come all the way from America, and I can confidently say these patties are the real deal — super authentic and full of flavour. The curried goat meal was rich, tender, and packed with seasoning. The ackee and Saltfish was perfectly balanced and comforting, and the vegetable patty definitely deserves a shout-out — flaky crust with a well-seasoned filling that wasn’t bland at all. Everything tasted like proper Caribbean food, not a watered-down version. Great vibes, great food, and I’ll 100% be back whenever I’m in London. Highly recommend!

It was a disappointment, too spicy and spices are undercooked. Dry. Overall not a pleasant lunch. I don’t think this is how jerk chicken supposed to taste

Waited around for the food. One girl watered down the curry goat using a cup of water from the sink behind her. The food was still cold when I got it. The attitude was terrible from both girls. The pot was then given to me, only to then be told ‘excuse me that’s not yours, she was here before you’- pointing at another customer. So I had to wait longer. They can’t say thank you or please or even smile.

I went in wanting to order the jerk chicken meal and was immediately met with a blunt, rude “No.” No explanation, no courtesy — just a flat-out dismissive response. When I politely asked why, I was told in an annoyed tone that they had “run out” and that they “only have their patties from the morning.” The attitude was completely unnecessary and honestly shocking. It wasn’t just the fact that they were out of food — that happens. It was the way it was handled. Customer service costs nothing, and basic manners go a long way. Instead of a polite apology or a simple explanation, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them just by asking a question. After this experience, I decided to look up their reviews — and now I completely understand why their ratings are so poor. Rude service, no effort, and zero professionalism. Hands down, the best patties I’ve ever had—flaky, golden crust with that perfect snap and fillings that are bursting with authentic Caribbean flavour. From the spicy beef to the curried chicken, every bite takes you straight to Jamaica. The pastries are incredible, but what really sets this place apart is the staff—so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You feel like family the moment you walk in. Don’t leave without trying the coco bread or sweet treats. These aren’t just snacks, they’re a whole experience. Trust me, one taste and you’ll be hooked!

This was a surprisingly disappointing experience, I love curry goat but it was ruined by the service and attitude with which it was served! I was handed the food with no fork/spoon or anything to use and when I asked I was told they've run out! Honestly, pressing was met with a blank stare and finally advised to go ask for one at the next shop! Really 🤔 I went to the Rice Guys and got one, they were kind and I regretted not going to them! £9.95 for cold food to eat with my fingers 🤦🏾‍♀️ NEVER again!

This was my first time trying anything from Jamaica Patty Co., and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I opted for a ackee and salt fish patty, which cost £3.95. After just my first bite, I was disheartened to discover a piece of hair within the filling. I had hoped for a higher standard of food preparation and hygiene. Sadly, this single experience has completely put me off trying anything else from Jamaica Patty Co. in the future.
