The jerk chicken was excellent; perfectly charred and tasty. I got the oxtails as well and they fall right off the bone. Highly recommend this place for authentically cooked Jamaican food.

Although located in a neighborhood that is quite on the rough side, this Restaurant/Club, brings the well needed flavor. Aesthetically, the interior design is impressive; the customer service is newcomer friendly; so if you never ate there before they are patient with you to explain their menu. What was not available on Monday will be on Thursday; giving an insensitive to return to taste one of your favorite dishes. Having prior knowledge of various Jamaican cuisine, my experience was simple smooth and somewhat entertaining as the server taking my order seemed impressed by my knowledge of their various cuisine and beverages. Although I didn’t eat in on this adventure, looking forward to doing so next time. Final thoughts, looking for an authentic Jamaican cuisine, with an incredible chill atmosphere this is your place. Enjoy it, you’re welcome.

**Update: I was last here in January. Now it's August and I'm back. They've completely changed the inside and it looks amazing. Added a video of the interior. ** THE BEST cabbage I've ever had. Maybe the best ox tails too? The whole plate was DELICIOUS and everybody else thought so too. We all ordered the same thing with a ginger beer on the side, the flavors danced in perfect harmony!!

This place is busy, lots of people coming in to order. There is place to sit and eat. Bathrooms are clean. We were a party of 4 people. We ordered 4 different plates plus an order of Jamaican beef patty and large macaroni and cheese. Curry Goat, was not over spicy, but flavorful, tender with lots of very little bones. Brown stew chicken, was fall of the bone tender.Lots of sauce. Be careful, lots of small bones. Oxtail was different, there were three little oxtails, and a couple other cuts of meat with lovely flavor. Jerk chicken was flavorful with VERY sharp bones. The four orders had a large amount of rice, some cabbage stir fry and a slice of plantain.

The food was awesome. It was seasoned well and very tasty. Even though I went to the old location and a very nice patron directed me to the new location I am very satisfied with their food. I ordered a small oxtail dinner and it was enough for three meals in my opinion. Good job keep up the good work because I love it.

The oxtails were excellent, and the curry and jerk chicken dinners are delicious as well. The service was exceptional and quick. The restaurant can probably seat about twenty customers at a time, but I’ve never seen more than a handful of customers actually dining in during the times I’ve visited the restaurant. They also serve a variety of drinks that are familiar in Caribbean restaurants, including one of my favorites, kola champagne soda.

Food was not bad at all until I got to the strand of Steel from a steel scrubbing brush. A huge let down…very disgusting and disappointing. Threw the rest of the food away!

Our family came to Charleston for Thanksgiving and experience everything local. This was the first stop when we got to town and it did not disappoint. The Jerk Chicken was very good. The Oxtails and Curry Shrimp were very good also.

Yelp
Pretty fire. I had great service. Came at 3 so not a lot of other customers but all the food was good and fresh. I got it to go but would be a good place to hang out with friends. I'll get the oxtail next time. Jerk chicken was great but the oxtail is my reason to go back.

Yelp
I was craving ox tail so I decided to go to the Jamaican grill. Upon entry I noticed that the prices had changed. I ordered a large ox tail and when my order was ready I checked the container. Looking at it as if I was skimped some ox tail I asked if it was a large. The cashier told me the large comes with 6 tails. I counted and they were all there. Still feeling unsatisfied, I decided to buy another large ox tail from Caribbean Delight. Upon arrival through the door I said hello and asked how many ox tail come with their large. They lady told me standard is 5. I ordered the ox tail with cabbage and white rice and they asked me the amount of gravy of my choice. When I got home I took pictures, said my grace to the lord, and I ate them both at the same time until I felt I had eaten enough. I noticed how they were both delicious and not the same. Jamaican grill ox tail uses sugar and spice and almost had me hooked. Their cabbage is sweet and crisp with a hint of vinegar. Their rice and peas has a slight kick of spice. Their plantain is cooked good and is sweet. While eating Caribbean Delight I could not taste any spice or sugar in any of the dishes. However, it was made very tasty. The cabbage was well seasoned, the white rice is slightly buttery, and the ox tail is tender and flavorful. Their plantain has a caramelization going on and is very good. All in all, both platters were delicious. Take a look at the pictures from when I started and stopped. I think I dug in the same amount.

Yelp
I would not eat here again. I came in around 3pm to order an early dinner. When I arrived there was a lobby full of people waiting on their order. I waited patiently in line as there were two people ahead of me. The young lady at the counter was extremely slow given the amount of people in the restaurant. I ordered and asked for my drink while I waited. It seemed like she forgot so it took around 5-10 minutes before I had to remind her to give me my drink so I could wait in my car. After another 30 minutes or so I got my food and realized she didn't collect my order correctly. That problem was solved after I checked my food and waited for them to fix my order. Once I got home I tasted my beef patty which tasted terrible, the cocoa bread tasted like a normal dinner roll, and my jerk chicken plate which was awful. I would stay away from this place if I were you.
