On the Grid : Jamaicaway

"Located in the Farmer’s Market, this modest, counter-serve joint makes some of the most distinctive, authentically inspired meals in the city. Owner Ouida Bradshaw and son Kamal Kalokoh have one goal: serving joy through food. From the coconut delight (v) to jerk chicken to curry goat, they put heaps of heart into every recipe. One day on a whim, Kamal tracked down Drake, who was in town to play a show, fed him, and landed a gig as his tour chef. Later he became Rihanna’s personal chef. Lucky for Nashville, we can sample Kamal’s cuisine any time—no tour required." - redpepper

Nashville’s Best Restaurants for Vegetarians and Vegans | Eater Nashville

"One of the best fixtures at the Nashville Farmers Market is Ouida and David Bradshaw’s Caribbean restaurant, Jamaicaway. Popular meatless offerings include curry tofu, spicy jerk seitan, and barbecue soy. And the culinary skills run in the family — the Bradshaws’ sons Kamal Kalokah and Rashean Conaway run Riddim N’ Spice, which also serves some great vegetarian and vegan dishes." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Jamaicaway Restaurant and Catering - Gastro Obscura

"Since 2003, visitors to the Nashville Farmers’ Market have been lining up for platters of curry goat, jerk chicken, and braised oxtail. Dishes at Jamaicaway come in generous portions with spice levels that range from “mild” to the habanero-heavy “FIYAH.” Everything from the ackee and saltfish—the national dish of Jamaica—to the curry chicken–stuffed roti is made from scratch. In many ways, the restaurant feels akin to Nashville’s iconic meat-and-threes—cafeteria-style dining establishments that have been central to the city’s dining scene since the 1920s—albeit one where Southern sides like mac ‘n’ cheese, collard greens, and cheesy mashed potatoes share plate-space with Caribbean favorites such as plantains, breadfruit, and bammy. The stellar dessert menu is equally culturally split, with slabs of Southern–style frosted layer cakes and Jamaican treats like coconut milk–soaked sweet potato pone. Owners Ouida and Dave Bradshaw now have something of a small restaurant empire in Nashville. Jamaicaway, a play on both the couple’s home country and a parkway in Boston, where they previously lived, now has three branches around town. “[Ouida] has a very gifted hand,” Dave says. “Food has always been in her DNA.” By the age of 10, Ouida was already helping her mother in the kitchen. While working as an elementary school teacher in Boston, her homemade treats quickly developed a fanbase among her students. “She’d tell them if they did well on a test, she’d cook them a meal,” Dave says. The couple’s son, Kamal Kalokah, who decided to go to culinary school after working at the family business, went on to become Rihanna’s personal chef and tour with Drake. He and his brother, Rashean Conaway, currently run Riddim n Spice, a popular Caribbean restaurant in North Nashville. Nowadays, you don’t have to ace a test in order to try Ouida’s cooking. Swing by Monday through Friday for a curried goat plate and a slice of the ultra-moist, boozy black cake as a sweet reward. Know Before You Go The menu has an impressive number of vegan- and vegetarian-friendly options, including a tongue-tingling jerk seitan." - rachelrummel, Diana Hubbell

Google
So many delicious options!!! We tried the spinach and cheese patties, which were perfectly filled and seasoned with a delicious light and flaky crust, and the spicy jerk tofu with collard greens and plantains. The spice level way perfect and the peppery, rich gravy was so delicious with perfect tofu patties, peppers and onions. All the veggies were meat free and it was so hard to pick just two, but the greens were delicious and the plantains provided a nice sweet treat to end our meal.

Google
pricey but good. would recommend trying. we got oxtail and chicken platters. the sauce and rice combo was very tasty. collard greens were nicely seasoned. this is inside the farmers market.

There aren’t too many Jamaican restaurants with excellent food and amazing customer service - this place has both. They have a straightforward menu displayed on a board for customers to choose from. The servers are helpful, polite and friendly. It is located in the food center so the environment is neat and tidy with enough guest parking. The table seemed a bit high when I sat down to eat but I didn’t care as much because of the flavorful meal. Recommended.

Google
First time trying Jamaicaway. Had the oxtail and mild jerk chicken. Both were very tasty. Oxtail was very tender. Tried the Jonny cake and bammy for the first time. Like them both. Glad I stopped here.

Dish Ordered: Large plate of Spicy Jerk Chicken (white meat) with rice & peas and cabbage Despite its “spicy” label, the jerk chicken arrived noticeably mild, lacking the expected heat and bold seasoning that traditionally defines the dish. The white meat portion was unfortunately dry and appeared to have been cooked separately from the jerk sauce, resulting in a texture and flavor reminiscent of boiled chicken rather than slow-marinated or grilled. As a result, the chicken fell short in depth and richness. On a brighter note, both the rice and peas and the cabbage were thoughtfully prepared. The rice and peas were fluffy and well-balanced, complementing the plate nicely. The cabbage stood out with robust flavor, providing a satisfying contrast to the underseasoned protein. While this particular dish didn’t meet expectations on the jerk front, the sides offered promise. I’ll be returning to try the curry next time in hopes of a more flavorful experience.

This was my second visit to this place, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I’m not sure if it was the cooks on duty or the older, judgmental man who was criticizing our orders. Yesterday, I ordered two large plates: one with jerk chicken (rice and peas +cabbage)and one with curry(rice&peas+yams). I specifically requested white meat for one plate. As I was waiting for my food, I couldn’t help but notice &hear the older man. He is light skin with a bald head. He decided to criticize me ,and disgust his “dissatisfaction “ in front of me with another employee, because he just didn’t understand why I chose white meat for a jerk dish….its “insulting”… I was surprised because the menu offered the option of white, dark, or smoke meat. Why would you criticize customers’ choices if you have that option? I still spent my money, but I wish I hadn’t. The plate with jerk chicken was disgusting. The rice and peas were overcooked and bland, with no hint of coconut milk or sweetness. The chicken was tough and definitely not tender/well seasoned..they through a ton of the jerk sauce they have on the shelves behind them to cover up how bland and tough it was. My partner’s curry chicken was also bland and lacked any real curry spices. The yams were disrespectfully diced and poured with maple syrup, which was the only two flavors I could taste. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in leftover Brussels sprout water. Overall, I wish I wouldn’t have had the same experience as my first when I traveled to Nashville last year in the fall. For the price I paid this was a terrible experience, and I definitely won’t be back.

Ordered curry goat and ox tail with white rice and collard greens. Both meat dishes are very tender. Rice is to the mushy side (it’s not a complaint by the way) and the greens taste good as well. Paid about $45 with 3 drinks. On a side note I originally wanted the whole red snapper but they are actually made to order so it’s gonna be a little wait. So maybe I will try next time. Overall I really enjoyed the food, place is clean, and the service was nice. Should come try it if you are in the farmers market.

My friend said that this establishment had very good Jamaican food but unfortunately it was not. I didn’t enjoy it at all!! The females serving were not friendly and behaved as if they didn’t want to work. But there was an older woman who was very pleasant. The food at Kool Runnings in La Vergne is so much better and authentic plus you get friendly service. Definitely worth the drive!

Yelp
I usually avoid eating Caribbean food outside of NY. Places like this reinforce my aversion. The red snapper fillet was so dry it was difficult to swallow. It was definitely not escovitch fish like I was told. The jerk chicken & curry chicken were tasteless. It was hard to find a pea in the rice and peas. Even the cola champagne was flat. The only thing edible was the collard greens. Save your money and feed yourself elsewhere.

Yelp
The staff here wasn't the friendliest. I came around 10:30am, so rather early. Maybe she was just waking up, but it wasn't a good look considering you're located inside a facility that attracts so many patrons. I ordered a Jamaican patty that wasn't the best! They didn't seem homemade at all. Tasted similar to the frozen ones you can purchase at the grocery store. Don't get me wrong the other food on the hot bar looked really good, but I didn't try.

Yelp
The Goat and the channa chickpeas, potatoes, pumpkin, and green beans are all very good and even has a slight smoky flavor like real Jamaican food. The only thing that could be improved on is the roti. Its rather hard and brittle and needs to be a bit more soft and pliable. Price is about $22 with tax which is a bit high IMO.

Yelp
If you get there around lunch time, know you'll have to wait a good while. It's a pretty popular spot. The BBQ chicken was tasty but a bit spicy, and the rest of the food was good. All that food was almost $13 bucks with tip included so it was a really great price!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
So, this was catered and I have to say I'm definitely going to have to check out this spot on my own to try other entrées. Brown stew chicken had such depth, chicken was tender while the jerk chicken was also pretty good. The Mac & cheese was stupendous while the rice and peas were what I would expect...just good and well seasoned.

Yelp
Love coming to this place! Wonderful people and music create such a welcoming atmosphere! The service is always fast and friendly. I've not had anything I don't like as the food is full of flavor and delicious. My favorite is the jerk chicken or the ox tail. For sides, the cabbage is so tender and the cheesy mashed potatoes make you feel like you are on the island! The jerk wings and plantains are great for the table and make a good addition to every meal. You really can't go wrong with anything you get. They even offer wonderful vegan/vegetarian options as well as gluten free. You'll have to ignore my pictures not being the best- we couldn't stop eating long enough to take them LOL

Yelp
Food was ok. I guess my request for a Veggie Roti is a little different here than what I'm use to. It wasn't quite what I wanted but it was ok. It wasn't bussin' like what I'm used to back in New York. Service was weird at first because I refuse the tofu for my veggie roti. It's located in a corner section of a food hall style spot. Live, love, and laugh Sha

Yelp
It was cool to finally have a chance to check out the Nashville Farmer's Market with all its vendors. It took a minute to find Jamaicaway, but we did find it in one of the corners. They have a cool setup inside, so it feels more like it's own restaurant, but we ended up ordering our food and sitting out in the main food court area because the music was super loud. I tried: Veggie Patty: good flavor! I was super grateful it didn't have cheese. So, more how it should be. My boyfriend liked it and felt it tasted "homemade" Mango Chutney Fried Chicken with Rice & Plantains: excellent! And I got a really great portion, too, despite it being a small order. The chutney came on the side; I didn't think the two little cups would be enough but it was plenty. The chutney was flavorful and so was the breading. It was a little sweet-maybe coconutty? It was good, though. Rice and plantains were both prepared well. Sea Moss Strawberry Smoothie - loved this! This was probably my favorite part. The smoothie was actually pretty big for how hearty the drink is. I really enjoyed it and would love to try the other flavors next time.

Yelp
I'm super glad to see this diverse food located in the Farmer's Market. There's always a line so you know it is good. The oxtail and curry goat is amazing, the best I've had in town. Flavor is really good, not too salty. For the oxtail, I appreciated the meaty pieces and it wasn't all bone. Their plantains are amazing. Portions were great, food was good. The only reason why I'm rating it lower is because there was a staple in my goat curry; which I know is an accident, but disappointing when I saw it. Also the pickup was a little hard with the long line and how busy it is. I ordered pickup, but people on line gave me a look since it looked like I was skipping them, but the food was ready and paid, so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait on that long line.

Breyana M.

Yelp
I thought I would give it a try since everybody was talking about it but I did not like the food. I got jerk chicken and it looked and tasted like bbq chicken and it wasn't good bbq chicken . Cabbage wasn't good either or rice.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Got takeout via Grubhub for lunch, had boneless jerk chicken with mac and cheese ($2 extra) and cabbage, along with fried plantains. Got a hot sauce and a mango sauce too. Food was ready when I went to pick up, and it was warm. The chicken was dry, jerk sauce didn't have much flavor. Mango sauce was fine, liked the hot sauce. Expensive for what it was, although it was a lot of food.

Yelp
I have had better Jamaican food. But it was on triple D so I had to try. In the Nashville farmers market. Cafe style where you go down the line and pick what you want. Food was good but not great. If I had a chance again I'd pick something else in the market.

Yelp
I was at the Farmer Market at the Bicentennial Mall in Nashville. I ran across this jewel and was not disappointed.  From the greeting, conversation, and food.  I was really impressed to see Guy Fieri had featured and ate at Jamaicaway.  My coworker and I talked to the owner, Ms. Ouida Bradshaw for about 15- 20 minutes.  We had to leave because we were stopping people from getting food.  Ms. Ouida was very personal and shared several stories with us. She made us feel like family. The food was really good. I had spicy jerk chicken, rice and peas, pantatains, beef patty, and spinach patty. The jerk chicken season to perfection and juicy The kick to the spiciness was great..  The rice and peas were delicious.  Highly recommend that you stop by to partake in the different dishes that Jamaicaway has. Thank you, Ms O.  --

Yelp
Great food, very flavorful, pretty authentic I would say. I got the Rice and peas and collard greens as my sides. For the entree, I got the chicken sampler with jerk chicken and curry chicken. Both had great taste and I am glad I got to try it both. Great prices for this dish! It was not spicy at all. The sauce is amazing with the rice. It is located inside the farmers market place gets packed and there is always a line out the door! So definitely make sure you place your order online and pick it up on their website. However, when you order for pick up, it's awkward because the line is out the door and so you have to ask people to let you walk ahead of them and through the door. Since the line is continuous, it is hard to ask for the order because the workers are constantly taking orders, serving the food into boxes, and the cashier is helping people who ordered but are on line to pay. I had to awkwardly say sorry I ordered already, I'm just looking to pick up and some customers will not let me through and some will. I wish there was a pickup "line" or area. For parking, it is a hit or miss. Farmer's market has a lot for parking but often times a lot of cars are already there. If it is full, there are some parking spots on the street in the back by the park.

Yelp
The oxtails were hard I informed the manager... I wasn't looking for a refund but she was in denial. Arrogance and denial does not grow a business We spent $65 for those meals. NEVA again!!

Yelp
Great food and service. My husband loves jerk chicken, he said it had great flavor and had a perfect spice level. We really wanted collard greens but they were out so we got the green beans. They were delicious and went well with the chicken. The prices and portions were fair and we were happy to have something different.

Lj B.

Yelp
Great Jamaican Food! Kind servers! And, well fine at the Nashville Farmers Market main center dining area, friendly and clean.

Carrie M.

Yelp
Ordered through ubereats. Flavorless rice, continually biting into little bone fragments in the curry sauce. The cabbage was fine, but nothing special. Also not impressed with being charged $1.50 for a 12oz can of soda, especially since the size wasn't disclosed on ubereats. All in all, it was edible but not really the least bit enjoyable.

Howard C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The vibes are great anyone's friendly, feels like you're in Jamaica.. okay let's get to the delicious food I have to eat it maybe twice in month, the curry goat is amazing with the cabbage, yellow rice and johine cakes. Oh the oxtails are also great! To say the least it's all good! The Bradshaw's family are wonderful people too... I think it's one of the best eatery in the city..

Yelp
Visiting from out of state, and was tired of eating typical bar food (burgers, fries, chicken, pizza etc) and decided to check this place out after reading the good reviews. Everything i purchased was delicious. I got brown stewed chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and a side of plantain. My husband got the same sides, as for meat he had curry goat and oxtails. Service was good and the employees were patient with my indecisiveness.
google avatar

Daisy M.

Yelp
Family and I had the beef patty, oxtail, rice and collard greens. All were delicious and freshly made. The oxtail wasn't as super tender as i hoped it would be but the flavor was on point. Everyone was nice. Would come again. Thanks!

Edwin A.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice. We went during lunch time and the service was still good. The food was really good also.
google avatar

Tommy B.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely fantastic. I ordered mild jerk chicken with sides of cheesy potatoes and cabbage. Everything was amazing. The chicken had great flavor, was still moist, and had a decent kick despite being mild. A lot of food, prices are fair, and I was in and out quickly. Highly recommend

Yelp
Who wants some spices Mon? If you are down for some Caribbean food, this place is Legit, straight from Kingston...friendly people and oh so good and delish food! Come check the out. ChowChow Town!!

Yelp
I had been wanting to try out Jamaicaway for the longest time but never seem to remember going to the Farmers Market for a meal. We had a visitor in town, so we decided to stop by the Farmers Market so we could all choose the type of cuisine we wanted for lunch. Negative - It was a very, very, very slow-moving line. If you were on a tight schedule, you would be late. They also have strange operating hours but I guess that comes with being located in a Farmers Market building. Pros - The food was really good. Worth standing in line for! I got the Spicy Jerk Chicken with Rice & Peas and Collard Greens. The entree comes with a Jonny Cake that was so delicious. The chicken had a very mild kick but was fall-off-the bone, juicy and just so good. I wanted more chicken. The rice and peas were very coconutty, so I probably would not get that side again. The coconut just overwhelmed the side dish. The Collard Greens were good but I wish they had some meat in them. Yes, I know you need vegetarian options but a girl can wish. I will definitely return once they reopen in Mid-May.

Yelp
We visited Jamaicaway Restaurant & Catering Friday for lunch. There was a line, but it moved quickly. There was gospel music playing on the speakers and the room felt welcoming. If you like oxtails, then I recommend that you order that for your entree if you are on the fence between it jerk chicken or snapper. They were the best thing that we tried and I would come back just to buy a side order of those alone. I ordered a large snapper filet, cabbage and plantains with a side order of oxtails. The portions are well worth it for the prices. Not only were the oxtails flavorful, but the meat-to-bone ratio was on point. In Atlanta, I am used to getting more fat and bone than meat for market price. I did not like the snapper filet. It was salty and sour (too much vinegar). The cabbage was good texture-wise and the plantains were a bit dry, but ripe and sweet. My hubby ordered the jerk chicken plate with cabbage, rice and peas. He did not like the jerk chicken because it lacked spice, but said that the hot sauce helped. The owner explained that they cook their jerk chicken mildly in consideration of the Nashville customer base dietary preferences. I respected his approach to explain and help compromise by offering their hot sauce. My MOL ordered veggie patties and a veggie plate with oxtails. She liked her food and loved the oxtails too. The owner and staff were friendly. Overall, I'd recommend this spot for the meaty oxtails and good customer service. It's not the best Jamaican food that I've had, but likely one of the best in this area.

Yelp
I have no idea if this is authentic, but it IS good!! I tried the plantains, rice and peas, collard greens, johnny cake, and curry goat. When I saw "fried plantains" on the menu, I was thinking tostones, but these are the soft, sweet skillet version. And they are very good. The johnny cake is, essentially, a deep fried biscuit - also good. The rice and peas had a hint of cinnamon(?) flavor and the greens were mildly seasoned. I've never had goat and did not know what to expect. I've heard it can be "gamey" and off-putting. Not so in this case. A really good, mild curry, tender fall-off-the-bone meat (with lots of bones), and nice mild "meaty" flavor. Plenty of other, great looking choices - definitely worth giving it a try!

Yelp
Best food I've ever had. Everything looked and smelled amazing. Customer service was ok and the place wasn't the cleanest.

Yelp
Stood in the line for over an hour to get the food. I kid you not! It was a Sunday afternoon and this place got crazy busier than any of the other food places there. My hungry growling tummy tried pulling me away from the long line several times during that hour, but the enticing food visible at the counter kept me there. They were also fulfilling several online pickup orders in parallel. There were 3 people working tirelessly at the checkout. They were BUSYYY! It is satisfying to see a business thriving so well! The food speaks for their success! Will visit them again to try their chicken curries.

Yelp
Located within Nashville farmers market. This restaurant in particular is closed on Saturdays Food: curry goat with plantains were amazing. I was pleased with the amount of meat provided for the price. Flavoring never fails. Environment: Jamaican island vibes. Sitting available in the shop as well. When placing my order, the Music background made it hard to hear staff on the other side of the counter. I would recommend this place!

Yelp
Traditional Jamaican cuisine located within the Nashville Farmer's market. We only had two meat pies, one jerk and one spicy beef. So good and made me want to go back to Jamaica!

Yelp
10 out of 10! This place is delicious!! I'm disappointed I haven't tried y'all out sooner!! The ox tails were so tender, the salmon just melted in my mouth, and the sides were equally amazing!! The cheesy mashed potatoes and collard greens... my goodness!! I can't wait to get back here!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best oxtail I've had. Love the Jamaican flavors. I had it with collard greens and fried plantains and a side of yummy sugary sweet potatoes. We also ordered the curry goat, which was super mild. We prefer the oxtail which was super fall off the bone delicious. If you prefer a salad the jerk chicken salad was a substantial portion of salad. Very fresh.
google avatar

Yelp
Very unique offering in the Nashville farmers market. This is the one of the only restaurants here that feels like it's own place rather just a stall at the market. The jerk chicken is always very tender, and served with heaping sides to accompany it. Always order extra sauce to get the full flavor explosion you deserve. Pro tip: order ahead online cause it can be slow when busy
google avatar

Yelp
While on vacation, my sister discovered this gem in a little market. During our tour bus, our driver mentioned a Jamaican restaurant.. we almost missed the place as it is nestled in a back corner inside this food market. We originally were planning to just order patties but then decided to order full meals and so glad we did. I ordered the curried chicken with steamed cabbage and yellow rice and my sister ordered the Jerk Chicken with steamed cabbage and plantains. By far, some of the tastiest Jamaican food I've ever tasted. Portions were beyond generous so much so that we both were unable to clean our plate (but we came close). If you're in this area and looking for authentic Jamaican food look no further, this is your spot. YUM!

Yelp
When at the Nashville Farmer's Market, it is great to have such varied options for a bite to eat. Jamaicaway Restaurant is now among one of my favorite places to eat at the market. I was a bit overwhelmed when I walked in and saw the buffet-style spread of different meats and sides. I must have had that deer in the headlights look, because one of the employees gave me a couple samples and explained some of the dishes to me. She told me that she cooks a lot of the dishes and she was very pleasant to talk to. I ended up ordering the jerk chicken (they have a mild option and a spicy option), the cabbage and the fried plantains which came with a small bread roll. I got a peach tea to drink, which was absolutely delicious. The portions are hefty but they have a stack of takeout boxes in case you throw in the towel like I did. I have never eaten Jamaican or Caribbean food before so I have no benchmark for comparison. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The chicken was tender and easy to break into small pieces with my fork. The jerk seasoning was flavorful and interesting to my tastebuds. The cabbage also had a great flavor to it. The plantains were awesome, but did not reheat as well as my other items did. The bread was one of the best things about the meal! I am glad I had a new food experience and my eyes are open to the interesting flavors of this type of cuisine! I will be back again to try something else and expand my horizons.

Yelp
Jerk chicken This was the busiest restaurant at the Nashville Farmers' Market today - and no wonder. My husband and I shared a spicy jerk chicken plate with collard greens and rice, and it was delicious. Everything was so tasty, the service was super friendly, the portions were generous and it was very reasonably priced!
google avatar

Yelp
AMAZING food! We got the large jerk chicken platter with rice and collard greens, and it was plenty to share for a great low price. Couldn't recommend any more!

Yelp
I haven't eaten here in a few years, and so my Dad and I had the oxtails, curry goat, plantains, rice, collard greens, and johnny cakes. We both were very disappointed with our food. We arrived early, so the food should have been fresh. Upon eating at home, we both felt like the meat had a tug and possibly was maybe a day or so old. People please understand that folks can tell when food is fresh. I ask you to consider serving what you would eat yourself and treat the customer with that same concept. Charging what you charge and serving mediocre food is disrespectful, unhealthy, and down right wrong. I will probably not be back. It's taken my Dad awhile to come back before this, and I'm not sure if he will return either. Bailey and Cato restaurant oxtails are on point and worth the wait and money....

Yelp
I had been craving some oxtail with rice and peas and this came up as a good spot. The place was clean and had a great health score. The rice and peas were good, however the oxtails and Mac and cheese needed more seasoning. It didn't hit the spot with that Caribbean flavor like I thought it would. Granted every island cooks their oxtails a little differently. They may have been having an off day so I will probably try it again just to make sure.

Yelp
Rock Hard Spinach Patties. The man at the cash register was eating and talking with food in his mouth while taking care of customers. A female staff member kept picking up food with her bare hands and putting it in her mouth right over the food that was for sale. In New York this is health code violation. Either it's not unsanitary in Nashville or these people don't care. I have eaten in many many Jamaican restaurants, including spending a month in Jamaica. This is the worst. My review is only for the patties and cleanliness or lack thereof.

Yelp
On Oct 23, at 11:51 am my daughter ordered fried plantains $5.25, 1medium Red Snapper Whole $25.49 and 1Coco Bread $1.95. When I received the meal from Uber Eats, I immediately called the restaurant to inform them that the fish was old and not fresh. The lady at the restaurant told me to call Eber Eats to cancel the order because I lived to far for her to replace the food with fresh food. I called Uber Eats to cancel. Uber Eats refunded her money and took it back the next day. The entire cost was $48.34. I am an American State Citizen. When I spend my money I expect quality and quantity from a foreign restaurant. I was not satisfied with what I spent my money for the second time with this restaurant. I this not the United States of America. Where is the Justice. The address and number is 900 Rosa Parks Blvd Nashville TN 37208 and 615-255-5920. I want my money back

Yelp
Not very often are they open late after 5pm. Not much Jamaican food around where I live. So when I get the chance. I go all the way up to the larges plate they offer. I'm a fan of good oxtails. It had some bold rich taste along with two sides. Collard greens was flavorful cooked. Enough leftovers for next day lunch. Inside Farmer market, food court area with plenty of open seatings. Late summer evening this place has no A/c. It was a bit hard to enjoy our hot food when it was already hot inside the place. Besides that I took it to go. I was pleased with my meal.

Yelp
Stumbled in here on a Sunday morning. Didn't wake up thinking about Jamaican food. Just needed some grub while we were at the Farmer's Market and we were lured in by the great smells. We had the spicy and mild jerk chicken, peas (red beans) and rice, fried breadfruit, green beans as well as a curry chicken patty and spinach patty. The flavors were great, prices reasonable and portions were large. Definitely worth a trip if you want Jamaican food or a stop if you are in the Farmer's Market.
