Jambox Sandwich Shop - Review - Franklin - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The former pitmaster at Honeyfire BBQ retired his brisket and turned his attention to handhelds at Jambox. And the sandwiches do indeed come slathered in a variety of jellies and jams. There’s a whiff of '90s nostalgia in the air—you can play a bunch of old-school video games before or after you eat—that also comes through in the sandwich names. Like the Californication with tender pulled chicken, pepperjack cheese, and red hot chili pepper jam, or the Cranberry Linger with a savory turkey breast, cheddar cheese, and cranberry jam. While you can grab a casual lunch inside, it’s better to bring your sandwiches over to Pinkerton Park." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

If you’re like me and enjoy sandwiches and 90s culture, this place was built for us! I had the “Mambo #5” (Cuban sandwich) and my son got the “Peaches for Me”. I thought I won the ordering battle, but then I tasted his. Fantastic! Highly recommend

Google
The Jam Box is a must if you're in the Franklin/Nashville area. For the first time in a long time, I can say that I was not disappointed in any aspect of my visit besides the fact that I did not get a sandwich to go. Themed around music and sandwiches (they have other items such as hotdogs and wraps as well) this place ROCKS. The menu is fun to navigate with clever names for items. The food bursts with flavor, tasting fresh and delicious. From the bread to the pulled chicken and slaw, I enjoyed every single tidbit l from each of the items ordered. Prices points seemed fair on par with something you'd get from Jersey Mike's if not better. As far as dining area, everything was well laid out, clean and comfortable. The owner was professional and clearly showed his excitement and pride for his business, ensuring we enjoyed everything. This is a great place. AGAIN I recommend you give this place a go and enjoy! 🤘

Google
JamBox! We used them for catering a 55 person luncheon. The food quality is FANTASTIC! The branding is well done! and the owner / team went above and beyond by delivering an setting up! You are missing out! Run, don't walk!

Located on Murfreesboro Rd (Hwy 96) in Franklin, TN just west of I65, this sandwich shop offers unique sandwiches with flavor combinations that please taste buds. We had the small Peaches for Me and large Cranberry Linger. We ordered the combo meal and chose sea salt and vinegar chips. They had 80s pop playing for background music, and different music videos (no audio) on the TV screens from the background music.

Google
Worth a try! Got take out sammys. The Club was amazing (pictured). Loaded and delicious. Their take on the Cubano is very good as well. We ate before this post: Will upload more pix next visit!

I'm mad that I didn't order a few more sandwiches, but that gives me a reason to go back to try the other options. The jalapeño jam is a must try! The shop has character. They have an old school game system you can play while you wait for your food. These sandwiches are big and feeling, I was stuffed after a few bites.

Amazing! Delicious twist on classic sandwiches. Tyler, the owner, was super nice and you can tell he really cares about providing a great experience. Definitely go here.

Google
Not a bad place. Two person staff were both friendly. Restaurant and all tables were clean. Classic rock in the background. I tried the Mamba #5, their take on a Cuban. It doesn’t reach the level of a real Cuban from Miami or Tampa, but it was a good sandwich. Good experience overall.

Yelp
AWSOME SANDWICHES Super soft bread and a lot of meat for a great price. Two meals easily. This is my new sandwich shop. Great staff as well

Yelp
The service here is top-notch, absolutely five stars. They greeted every guest who walked in, they were friendly and helpful, they checked in on each guest at their table, they cleaned up the table after every guest left, just very attentive and great. The interior is retro and cool, certainly reflecting their theme. It is a fun spot to visit. They have a great range of sandwiches, from your standard options to some rather wild and interesting creations. I had the Orange Crush, which was really good. I also had a side of their Alabama White Cole Slaw, which was delicious. The bread reminds me of the "unlimited bread sticks" at a familiar chain restaurant. I thought it was good, but I can appreciate it wouldn't be for everyone. They do offer wraps and gluten-free bread, but it might be good if they added a more traditional bread you would expect for a sub. I would certainly opt for a different bread if they offered it. They are doing a great job in my opinion, and I will definitely stop in again to try some of their other sandwiches.

Yelp
This sandwich was not good in my opinion. For the price I was expecting good tasting quality deli meat. My stomach immediately hurt after a couple bites. Use boars head or top quality deli meat. For the price you're paying here that's definitely one of my suggestions. I could tell this was lower quality products from the first bite. Step it up jam box!! The customer service was great on the other hand just please don't feed us low quality products with a premium price. More feedback: I appreciate your message Tyler, but if you want to charge for sandwiches at premium price study this place I used to frequent in Los Angeles. Their sandwiches are amazing and their top quality ingredients, https://yelp.to/PsMV2bbQ9e. It's called the Heights Deli Shop. Legit and tasty until the end. I'm a foodie and this sandwich I was served at your spot was subway status and I was super disappointed. I'm Not trying to be rude. I'm just being honest and wishing to find a deli sandwich shop like the one in LA I use to frequent. Thanks for reading.

Yelp
On a whim we stopped here for the first time! So impressed by the food, employees, and theme! We will get sandwiches here all the time now! And I'm a picky sandwich girl! The bread is fresh and soft, the options are inventive and addictive!
google avatar

Yelp
4 Stars! I really enjoyed this sandwich spot! As you can probably tell from my photo--m I was hungry and couldn't wait to dig in. The cashier was super friendly and took time to explain the different sandwiches, which I really appreciated. The decor was fun and inviting, and the location made it easy to get in and out quickly. Now let's talk about the food so good! My sandwich was warm, soft, and absolutely delicious. I'm already planning to go back just to try another one. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food Incredible! Tried the Peaches For Me and Californication minus the chips. I liked them both but prefer the Peaches one. Something about that peach jam to offset the savoriness of the rest of the sandwich just works for me. The bread in general is light and fluffy and was toasted. Service Amazing! First time checking out this spot and the employee was patient enough to explain their menu and also the July theme they were doing. Ambiance Retro! Flashback to the 80s with the decor, music and the gaming machine. Can see this as my go-to local sandwich spot!

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches!! Can't wait to return. We had the Peaches for Me and Orange Crush sandwiches. Perfect balance of ingredients, and great bread.

Yelp
Great place, terrible location. Got the Cranberry Linger and it was fantastic. I'm usually a picky eater but tried it the way it comes on the menu board. Every thing on the sandwich compliments each other, and you can tell it was well thought out. The service was helpful in picking out some recommendations. Will def. Be back again to try some more sandwiches. The purple chairs at the tables were def. a nice touch. The location is terrible, but don't let that deter you from stopping in.

Yelp
Ever since experiencing Jambox at an event earlier this year, I have been craving to get my hands on one of those funky sandwiches! Lucky for me, this Franklin location is near my office and now that I am back in Cool Springs/Franklin more regularly, those sandwiches are on constant rotation like a good album (see what I did there?!). This location sits in a small complex just off of 65 on Murfreesboro Road. Getting in and out can be a bit tough, especially given how busy Murfreesboro Road can get...so, be careful! The sandwiches...I have sampled (did it again!) a few sandwiches and have been impressed with each one. I am normally a classic sandwich guy, so the Plane Jane's Addiction is my go-to. When I am wanting something a bit more substantial, the Eye of the Tiger comes in clutch! My partner is a huge fruit jam fan, so the Peaches and Me is always his choice when he knows I am swinging by to grab a few sandwiches before heading home. Service is always stellar, the space, small but mighty is decked out in all things music...totally a vibe in this space! Always clean and well kept as well. Overall, pumped to have Jambox in the "work neighborhood" and equally as pumped to see this local sammy spot's continued growth!

Yelp
Not super easy to access but worth the trouble!! Best sandwiches in all of Franklin!! Wee put together, yummy, creative and just really good. Servings are large so share if you don't do leftovers! People are nice and it is super clean! A new favorite neighborhood place. I expect to eat here once a week for sure!!
google avatar

Yelp
So glad they are in Franklin! I enjoy the Nashville location, and have eaten there many times, so I was excited to see their new location closer to home. This one has a different vibe, but is nice in its own way. Sandwiches are wonderful, as expected. The space is clean and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly and professional. A great experience! If you like a good sandwich that has a unique taste, Give them a try. Located near the intersection of hwy 96 and Royal Oaks, next to Wendy's. Overall a good spot, but it can be difficult to enter if traveling east on 96.

Christina T.

Yelp
Orange crush pulled chicken sandwich was really good! We were impressed! We substituted lettuce for the slaw. Cute decor and friendly service!
google avatar

Shauna C.

Yelp
A great quick spot for a nice Sammy. I had the "Sammy Hagar Club" and it was yummy! Plus, the staff are incredibly nice & accommodating. Will return!
google avatar

Yelp
New lil sandwich shop in town! Fun atmosphere, nice staff and good sandwiches. I got the Hammy Sagar Club which was packed with meat and a half filled me up. Come check this place out!
google avatar

Ruta P.

Yelp
This place was good! I went in thinking the menu was a little off, and it is, but in SUCH a great way! I tried the post bologne, packed with meat, slaw, chips and cheese, very delicious. Bread was fresh, ingredients were very fresh. Loved it. Next was all eyes on cheese which was a pimento cheese sandwich with Doritos, apple butter and something else, a little sweet but my companion loved it. The one to return for is cranberry linger, like thanksgiving in a sandwich, but better. All portions of meat and toppings were generous, thankfully because at first I thought 8$ for a half sandwich was a little high. After eating it, worth the cost. The staff was great, helpful and cared. They even bragged about how dedicated the owner was to this place. They conveyed passion for it very well! Tip: coming from 65 turn in after Wendy's driveway.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
What a great lunch spot! I think this will be a great addition to Franklin. Everyone was so friendly and the sandwich was delicious! I got the Cranberry linger and loved the crushed potato chips on it!!
google avatar

Calvin C.

Yelp
There were trees/bushes near the turn in which made it hard to see the open sign for Jambox. It is located on a very busy strip near the freeway which is good to note. My sandwich was great. If you love meat, then this was the sandwich to get it was said to be 6 inches but was more feeling than some 8 or 10 inch subs that I have had in the past. I loved the art work in the bathrooms (I took a peep in both) which had Jimmy Hendrix and an image from a live performance on stage.
google avatar

SK H.

Yelp
Great sandwich super friendly and helpful staff!! I even bought a jar of the pepper jam.
google avatar

Mari B.

Yelp
Wow! So glad I finally got a "To Go" order from here. Saw them at Fait La Force in Nashville but never tried them. We tried the Hero and wow...so good! Filling to bread ratio was perfect! Sandwich ingredients were delicious and fresh! Loved the jam they used, so good! It was huge enough to share! I only did pick up but staff was great! Also looks like a fun spot to eat at! If only they had an adult beverage to go with it (hint, hint). They also do wraps and pressed sandwiches, as well as salads!

Yelp
Jambox Sandwiches in Franklin is next level. Their sandwiches are awesome--super fresh, very creative, and so damn tasty you'll be dreaming about them later. Whether it's the "Jukebox Jive" loaded with crispy bacon and this killer aioli or the "Vinyl Veggie" (I don't even like veggies). I've had the Pimento Grilled Cheese three times in two weeks. Oh, and here's the kicker--they've got a free arcade with old-school games like Pac-Man and Street Fighter right there for free. Best sandwiches I've found so far in Franklin, please don't waste your time on a chain- support a local small business with much better sandwiches. They've also got a really good hot dog too, just thought that was worth mentioning- good hot dogs are hard to find (not sure if they're technically a sandwich- they're really good either way.
google avatar

Yelp
What a heck of a place! Great ambiance, reminds of the high quality of Pinkberry. I had their Italian, called The Hero. Beautifully composed and put together. I also ordered a Californication. I love a good Italian sandwich, that's my usual go to, but that Californication was flat out amazing. I'll be back, as often as I can.
google avatar

Jeanne G.

Yelp
Ordered the purple rain and the Sammy Hagar. Both were good but a little too salty but perhaps it's what we ordered. We did enjoy them. The location is terrible as it's really hard to turn in to the parking lot. We will be back.
google avatar

Maddy M.

Yelp
when i tell you have a been craving a good sub sandwich for MONTHS and this was the perfect place to satisfy the craving! first of all the bread to filling ratio is amazing, they're not skimpy on meats or toppings at all. i had the cranberry linger (amazing name and amazing sandwich) and the deli meats and toppings were fresh and high quality. the bread was also super fresh and it was the perfect sub bun. the service was so nice! i ordered my sandwiches "to go" and the cranberry linger comes with chips on the sandwich but the worker told me he put them off to the side so they wouldn't get soggy on the sandwich! it was a small touch that i really appreciated! all in all, great addition to the area and I will be back! :)
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Got the cranberry turkey sandwich, pretty good meal. It was tasty and decent size. I'll be back
google avatar

Joe W.

Yelp
We have been to Jambox numerous times and I don't think I have had the same sandwich. I like all of them. My sandwich last night was the "Eye of the Tiger" and it is now my second favorite to the "Orange Crush". Everyone there is super nice. The restaurant has a great vibe with the decorations. Please take time to go by for a visit and I promise you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Donna J.

Yelp
awesome, unique sandwiches with a great vibe! check it out! I can never decide which sandwich so I always buy 2 of these 3 Californication, The Hero, or Mambo #5. well, what are you waiting for?
google avatar

William L.

Yelp
We went to the Jam Box on the recommendation of my sister-in-law. My wife and I both loved the sandwich we ordered. We are planning on going back several times so we can try some of their other sandwiches.
google avatar

Yelp
Once upon a time I had a sandwich at Fait la Force. It was my favorite sandwich. Then the dreams began. Then the dream became reality. #glutenworthy

Andrew H.

Yelp
This newly opened sandwich shop tucked away at 96/Sth Royal Oak offers outstanding sandwiches with unique jam accompaniments along with the usual selection of accompaniments and beverages. Creative and adventurous menu provides plenty of choice for all tastes. The bread is top notch too. Friendly professional energetic staff do a great job to make your visit a comfortable and rewarding one. Great tunes on the Jambox too!. I'll definitely be back for more.
google avatar

Yelp
This 90s kid loves the retro vibes of Jambox, the nostalgia of my old boombox and cassette tapes hit me. The staff were very attentive and helpful as it was my first visit here - walked me through the menu offerings. I was very excited as I was starved and craving something savory & sweet and the Orange Crush really hit the spot for me. These sandwiches are LARGE so I saved half for later, would be great to split with someone. I wasn't the biggest fan of the bread, felt the bacon could have been crispier, but the chicken/cheese/jam was perfection! I really loved it and can't wait to work myself through the menu! Of course, the location is a bit tricky to get into with a heavily congested area, but worth the hassle for a fantastic Jamwich fix!
google avatar

Bryan H.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this. Cool theme, I love the retro "Jam", cassette tapes, cool colors, etc. I am always for the mom-and-pop places, "one offs," or small franchises. I went in with hope, but a new place has to be better than the surrounding franchises to pull people here or keep them coming back. It was fine. The bread was fresh, ingredients were typical, but the "Hero" that I tried today was a little less heroic. Way too much roasted pepper and not enough meat. I will try one more time and some other sandwich...but if they are not better than the boring franchises...I don't see this lasting long to keep up the rent demands of the area. "Sad but True" (a Metallica jam).
google avatar

Raul M.

Yelp
I typically don't get excited about sandwich shops. But, Jambox hits the mark. The menu is very innovative. There is something for everyone. We split the Orange Crush and the Eye of the Tiger. They were both excellent but the Orange Crush edged out as the better sandwich. Really complex flavor and good texture. The bread was excellent as well. Tyler, the owner, came out to check on us. He told us the story of how he came up with the concept. That level of attention is rare in a sandwich shop. Do yourself a favor and check them out. We will be back.
google avatar

Sloane M.

Yelp
Jambox is so good! Everything I've tried slaps! The Motown Philly is a must every visit.

Ashley E.

Yelp
Searching for a sandwich shop that wasn't your typical everyday Subway shop and this fit the bill! First time I've seen or heard of this place and it was worth the trip! We tried 3 sandwiches and all were delicious. Peaches for me, Californication, and Sammy Hagar. I personally loved the peaches for me the best-tasted really fresh and flavor mix was great! All people working were friendly and the person at the register did a great job explaining the menu items and giving recommendations. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Steven A.

Yelp
Ordered 5 different sandwiches for the family on a to-go order. Staff was super friendly and the vibe was retro and cool. Unfortunately, nobody enjoyed the food. The bread was not great and they all were soggy by the time we unwrapped 'em at home. Turkey was tasty but the assembly and presentation was not good with spreads not applied evenly. The Pepperoni was wide/thick cut so each bite pulled the whole slice out of the sandwich. Too bad, was very excited to find a new go to sandwich shop.
google avatar

A L.

Yelp
Good vibe shop , polite & friendly staff ... got the californication ( pretty awful w weird eyeball chunks of chicken thigh & mushy texture , not a good taste ) got the post bologna ( good amount of bologna but overall the sandwich was mushy mostly the taste was mayo HEAVY & sandwich mushy taste ok ) got the haggar was meh again all the veggies n sauce just mushy taste was fair ) got the hero was so underwhelming again not much flavor with mushy veggies .. just a bust ! The bread at this place would be great if not so soft like the inerds! I would say this place is like subway without as many topping options ! Just not this famous Jam I guess!
google avatar

Heath Y.

Yelp
Great sandwiches with great service too! We'll definitely be back to try others! Sub sandwiches with jam was new for me but very good.
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Based on two visits it gets a 5 star from the friendly staff and great food. Had a Peaches for Me and a Purple Rain. Always warm bun and fresh. Didn't know if I was going to go for the jams on the sandwiches but it was just the right amount of sweet and savory.
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
This sandwich was fantastic! I had the Californication, which cage highly recommended by the friendly staff. They did not steer me wrong, this was a great experience all around!

Summer S.

Yelp
This place was so unique! The flavor was amazing! My sandwich had pesto and peach jelly on it among other delicious things and I scarfed it down!!! My daughter ate all of her hotdog (I stole a bite and it was delicious). My mom ate her whole sandwich as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guys working were very nice.

Meredith L.

Yelp
The service was great, the worker gave me a whole run down of the menu when I said I hadn't been and even gave me this recommendations. The sandwich was good but the orange jam was sweeter and more artificially flavored than expected, almost like an orange crush soda. The chicken was also dark but that's just a non-preference of mine. Was good but not likely to go again or crave it. The tables were clean though and it did the job.
google avatar

Cheryl T.

Yelp
Tried this on my son's recommendation. I had the Orange Crush which had orange jam and my daughter had the Eye of the Tiger. Both were very flavorful! Hard location to get to but was worth it. Hope it lasts in that kiss of death location.

karla m.

Yelp
The sandwich was fabulous and I am looking forward to going to try something different!

Westchester M.

Yelp
Decided to try Jam box as it is a newer shop in the South Franklin area. I ordered the Tomato Swift which was roasted peppers, bruschetta, and mozz. When I received the sandwich, my first turn off was the bread - pasty white and mushy - barely cooked. A sandwich shop should have good crusty (and fully cooked) bread as the base of their sandwiches. Next, the mozz was a sprinkle of bagged, pre-shredded cheese. Seriously? For a $12.00 sandwich any respectable sandwich shop is going to have fresh mozzarella on their sandwich. The bruschetta and pesto were fine but I'm guessing based on the quality of this sandwich they are premade and not an in house recipe. I was wholly disappointed and will not be returning. There are several places that provide a good sandwich for an equivalent price point.
google avatar

Josh D.

Yelp
So good!!! I had the Orange Crush and my wife had The Hero. Never thought I'd be a fan of jam on a sandwich but WOW! I'm a believer! A tasty twist on deli sandwiches. Everything was fresh and the service was great! We will be back! Can't wait to try something else on the menu.

Bradley W.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place, as I live near where it opened. Today, I had the Hero -- it wasn't very heroic at all. The sandwich was incredibly bland, which is impressive considering the multitude of ingredients. The worst part was the texture -- giardiniera is supposed to be crunchy, lettuce crisp. The entire texture of the sandwich was just *mushy*, which is impressive, again, because it was toasted. The bread was alright, and I feel like they're generous with portion sizes. But I can't consider this place a step up from Subway or Jersey Mike's. I hope they're able to take a look at some things food-wise, as the service and ambience was great. The employees were nice, sandwich came out fast, and I like the musical motifs and vibes they have at the restaurant. But unfortunately, the best part of my meal today was the chips. I wish them all the best, and would love to see them succeed, but as of today, I cannot recommend this place.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
From Atlanta found this place on Yelp. Great Vibe friendly staff and great food. It's a can't mess come by and get you a good sandwich.

Kenneth H.

Yelp
The sandwiches and service were awesome! Truly wish they had opened this location in a more accessible location as it is extremely difficult considering there is only one driveway in/out and you can only access it from westbound 96. I brought my wife here for lunch today, she works about a mile away, and it took us 40 minutes to get from her office into their parking lot due to traffic and the inability to make legal turns on that block. Once you leave, westbound 96 is your only option. Really want these guys to do well, but I fear access to their location is going to be a problem for them.

Yelp
Just had the "All Eyes on Cheese" sandwich today! Great vegetarian option and so good!!!!! Will be back regularly :)
