8 must-see art shows this spring - SilverKris

"A contemporary arts center near Dubai Creek pairs seven sculptural desert gardens by Swiss-Dutch landscape architect Anouk Vogel—each representing plants from a particular desert—with an exhibition titled 'Desert is a Forest' by Kerala-based artists Sunoj D and Namrata Geog that explores UAE biodiversity and how human activity and grazing animals have altered plant populations." - James P. Ong

Had a really nice experience at Jameel, it’s such a beautiful and clean building, beautiful architecture and layout and the staff are so sweet and welcoming. The galleries they had were nice not my favorite that I’ve seen but still nice. I very much enjoyed going through the building like the library and there little shop near by.

if you’re tired of crowded shopping malls and other tourist spots, you might consider visiting this gallery: it’s spacious, beautiful, quiet, almost no people, the staff is very friendly, the exhibitions will make you think. perfect spot for overstimulated introverts🙃

Entry is free, which is great, but I recommend checking which exhibitions are currently running before you visit. During my trip, there weren’t many artists I found particularly interesting. I actually enjoyed the outdoor area by the water canal more—it was a lovely space to relax and take in the surroundings.

Nice gallery, 2nd floor was closed. Would have been a better experience if it were open. Outside would be nice to walk around during winter. Entrance is free.

Wonderful contemporary art museum, went mid August 2025. Two world class exhibitions on. Kudos to the curators.

Pleasant time spent in a lovely location. Free entry. Smaller Artists featured from around the world over three floors so it can be a bit hit or miss regarding your own preferences but that's the beauty of art as it's good to be challenged by unusual concepts and thinking not considered before. Regretfully, I understood very little of what I was viewing so it was all a bit too aventguard for me to appreciate fully but it was a really pleasant and relaxing experience right at the wharfs waters edge of Al Jadaf that is now a lovely memory. The real Brucy bonus was finding the attached two star Michelen restaurant (Teible) at the end of the building overlooking the creek where we capped our day with a lovely light lunch of shrimp toast within a superb rich sauce and a mango juice costing less than 23 quid for two. A little hidden gem as everyone else has already stated. Plenty of parking or simply walk as we did.

It's genuinely a good idea. They have very interesting exhibitions and events. Even an appropriate little library which, in theory, could serve as a perfect little working space. However, despite the fact that this library has appropriate rules (like silence, no mobile, etc.) to serve everybody who visits, unfortunately even the centre's employees constantly misuse the library as meeting/ chitchat room. Working there has practically become impossible over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately.

one of the calmest places in the emirates of Dubai. I think this is one of the most underrated places in the city. This place should be established with some more commercial food hubs and restaurants as there is ambient parking space availability. More number of refreshment area should be provided for easiness.
