Loved every moment in this fantastic restaurant. From the warm friendly welcome as we walked through the door on a cold and wet sunday evening, through the fabulous food and drinks selection to the polite, friendly and very helpful staff. It is very rare that I give 15 star reviews but believe me JAMES ST deserves them all and more. Even if you are only passing through Belfast you have to stop here. After the warm greeting as we entered, we both commented on the lovely atmosphere and amazing decor. This place has everything you could want from a dining experience but it's absolute best asset is the beautiful staff. Oh and the food is delicious 😋 Keep up the great work and I will definitely be back soon.

The food was absolutely amazing here at James St, every bite was full of flavour and so well cooked. Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name!) was just lovely, super friendly, helpful and really made us feel so welcome. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Visited the James St restaurant this evening on our first visit to Belfast. Great food, my Wife & I had the Cervice each to start followed by the Chateaubriand to share which was cooked perfectly. All the staff were very attentive, special shout out to Claire for her wine recommendations & always around checking to ensure we had everything we needed. Great atmosphere with good music that was in the background rather than taking over the restaurant. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Belfast.

This is a really lovely restaurant. They’ve a beautiful, varied menu with its own unique twists. The wine menu here is also very impressive and surprisingly reasonable. We both opted for steaks and they were cooked to complete perfection! I have to say also the staff here are so warm, inviting & attentive. Great service overall. The only slight criticism I have is we found the restaurant a little tight. Tables were quite close together. Also made the restaurant a little loud. Nonetheless we had a great evening here and would definitely return! I would recommend making a reservation in advance. It’s a busy restaurant but for good reasons!

Absolutely amazing food! The scallops and steak I ordered easily deserve an 11/10 — absolutely delicious! The scallops were delicate, fresh, and full of flavor, while the steak was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with taste. Every bite was pure joy. The service was incredibly warm and attentive from start to finish. Despite being a group of 14, everything was handled with impressive efficiency — all the plates arrived at the same time, hot, beautifully presented, and exactly as ordered. Everyone at the table was happy and more than satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend this place — it truly stole my heart.

Great steaks and the suef and turf hit it out of the park. Take your family or dinner date here to seal the deal. (Wink). The desserts were great as well. We ordered a variety of drinks and all were very good. For the price the whiskey flights are a great deal. We enjoyed the 12 year old flight and can say the third variety will be bought as a bottle to consume back home. The interior of the place is exceptionally clean and well put together.

This dining experience was absolutely incredible. The staff here took such great care of us and our little toddler. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The service we got here was unreal. The food itself was so delicious too, we can't stop thinking about James St! We highly recommend checking this place out and we hope to be back again one day. Ellen our server was an absolute delight.

Opted for small plates from the starter section and they were all spectacular. The restaurant is very laid back but the quality of food on offer is anything but. All the staff we met were extremely kind and chatty, well worth a visit.
