Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters - Review - Pasadena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"You’ll walk in to Jameson Brown in Pasadena thinking that your career is going well - after all, you’re not at the office right now! - and walk out ready to become a coffee importer. Because they roast all their own beans in full view of the dining room, which is not only inspirational, but a great distraction from work when you need one. There are plenty of outlets to plug into, and the Wi-Fi is super reliable. The room is huge, and nearly always full, but we’ve always managed to find a place to post up with our laptops." - Brett Keating

It's worth making the trip out here even without the dedicated parking. Right off the freeway, this gem offers some of the freshest coffee in town, given they roast their own beans in house, mere meters away from where you order. They offer a good blend of "fancy" drinks as well as drip and espresso for people who like to keep it OG. Good selection of pastries such as bagels, croissants, and the like. A lot of seating inside and a few seats outside as well.

This space is beautiful for a roaster and the flavors justify the means! I got my standard cortado which is my measurement for coffee quality and flavor outside of a pure espresso - and I must say, the amount of savory umami flavors from this cup was out of this world. There was an impressive bouquet and richness to every sip! My second cup, naturally, was to test the style and uniqueness of their creativity. That award goes to their Coconut Breve which was mind-blowing how flavorful and balanced it was. I was cautious that it might be too sweet but it was aromatic in its fruity coconut perfume but creamy, earthy, and with a touch of sweetness on the palate. Ambiance was clean, cozy and perfect for getting lots of work done. The staff was helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Overall this was a wonderful experience!

Google
A chic cafe with an abundance of coffee selections from different areas of the world. I ordered an Iced Vienna Latte and it was delicious. I can't wait to try more.

I am never really in the Pasadena area but I wanted something light to eat and a good coffee. As soon as I walked in I saw Cafe de Olla cold brew. Had to have it. Wow! This is incredible! It pairs well with the almond danish I also got. Definitely worth coming here if you’re in the area. Close to PCC and the 210 freeway.

The best coffee is had when served by the best baristas, and in this case I mean Genesis. She was very understanding and patient about my indecision and helped me choose a drink that ultimately was one of the best things I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend this establishment but if Genesis isn’t working, they get a few points taken off. She really makes the space.

Vanessa Garza

Google
Genesis is the friendliest barista! She recommended the coconut breve and it was....dare I say...AMAZING! The coconut is perfectly nutty 🤪 and not too sweet. I recommend getting the drink with whole milk and only come when Genesis is working. Seriously. Best service EVERRRR!!!!

Google
Love this place. I just stumbled in one day to discover this beautiful oasis. I’m typically a drip black coffee guy but decided to try their “Orange Blossom Latte” as it sounded very unique…. And let me tell you!!!! My god am I glad I did. It was so wonderfully refreshing and delicious. What an awesome take an a latte. I absolutely loved it. And the atmosphere here is lovely, with your brewery-like vibes of twinkly lights and open spaces. Highly recommend.

Google
Got to try the Mayan Mocha and loved it. Wasn't too sweet and had a spicy kick to it. Only thing I didn't like was the coffee cake due to it being extremely dry. I would like to try more drinks from the menu. Will come here again.

Yelp
writing a review because of the staff! Genesis was lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I get a little indecisive when there are drinks I haven't seen before but she walked me through it! Thanks Genesis-- my chai was delicioussss and I'll be back to try the snowball sometime soon!!

Yelp
It is a pretty sizable roastery and there are plenty of spaces for people to sit in work if you like an environment with some soft level noise. It gives a very hanging in the backyard feel. There's a wide selections of drinks and the drink came out really quick. I got the Vienna latte with oat milk with a Colombian beans. The Vienna latte is a honey and cinnamon latte. I typically do not like very sweet drinks and this is the perfect amount of sweetness. The cinnamon in it tastes like it is a bit toasted so it gives the latte a well rounded taste. The coffee in it is on the lighter side and it is very smooth. There are no bitterness and a coat the tongue evenly. The oatmilk used does not overpower the coffee at all. Overall , I will give this latte 6.5 out of 10 as there are other places that do a better rendition of a cinnamon honey latte in town. But their coffee is good, it isn't acidic and smooth. It is a lighter/medium roast so I look forward to coming back to try their drip coffee or cold brew. Side note it is street parking. There are a lot of spots in the smaller street, it is just a stroll to get to the shop. It is quiet and a pretty wide street so it shouldn't be too difficult. The only thing is if you a cold coffee drinker and you drink your coffee fast, I would say get a bigger size cause you might finish before you get to your car.

Yelp
How did I NOT know this what here in PASADENA this whole time? Also, had to find out the hard way but they are closed on SUNDAYS lol. First off, lots of street parking. You'll find a spot. Came on a Saturday with my best friend right before we hit the road to head off to the beach. I was also able to get my trusty Pasadena Passport stamped as well. I initially wanted to order the Horchata Latte but they were out so I ordered the Iced Amaro Latte & the Spinach Mushroom and Feta. The drink was a nice earthy taste on a hot summer day. The Spinach Cheese was very delicious, but I will say that it was a lot of spinach. They get busy and a long line starts to form, and I can see why. But their service here is top notch and the line goes down fairly quickly.

Yelp
Never knew this place existed. I had the seasonal orange blossom latte and it wasn't too sweet. The Vienna latte was also very good- honey and cinnamon. They are the brewery of coffee of that makes any sense. They look legit and it shows on the coffee. They have an extensive menu of drinks and baked goods, with plenty of seating inside I'm very interested to try more!

Yelp
Very cute vibe here kinda like a brewery but for coffee which was different from anything I've seen before. However I found the coffee to be underwhelming which is such a bummer because I wanted this to be a new spot. If I'm in the area again I'd stop by and try it again just for the vibe but I wouldn't go out of my way. Parking -0/10 couldn't tell if the small area near their building was parking for them or another business, the area this place is located in is industrial and then two rows of houses and car dealerships, parking was rough! I had to circle three times to find a spot. Orange coffee latte - 7/10 it was good but watered down. It did have a hint of orange. Cafe de olla - 4/10 I was really excited for this but it didn't taste like cafe de olla to me, the cinnamon was lacking and again it tasted watered down. It also has a strange bitter taste at the end.

Yelp
This place is so cool! As soon as you walk in you will love this place! I was already a fan before I even tried the coffee just off of the atmosphere and the way the exterior was set up! The coffee itself was also very good -- I got an Americano and my gf got one of their house speciality drinks (wish I could remember which one but I think it had peach in it) and neither of us were disappointed at all! Highly HIGHLY recommend checking this place out if you are a coffee and coffee shop vibes lover in Pasadena!

Yelp
Great Ambiance, sweet service, food looks fire, no wifi :( They roast in house and have alot of seating space, inside and outside

Yelp
I'm always excited to try a new coffee shop :) When it's a roaster that makes it that much better because you know they are going to have great coffee from fresh beans! Jameson just reinforced my belief :) We both decided to have one of their specialty drinks, the Vienna Latte. It was soooooo good, delicious coffee flavored with Honey & Cinnamon :) Plus it was served at the perfect drinking temperature, something I really appreciate. The shop is in a freestanding brick building just a block from the 210 Fwy and only has street parking on residential streets. The interior is large with lots of seating options, a fireplace & of course a roaster. It has a relaxed, inviting vibe for you to enjoy. There are also some tables outside along the shady side of the building. In addition to a nice selection of coffee drinks they also have tea, pastries and, a wide selection of roasted coffee beans. We're looking forward to coming back and picking up some beans.

Yelp
I wish I liked their drinks more! 10/10 for customer service, 4/10 for drinks. I'm not the biggest coffee fan so I ordered their iced Chai latte. The drink had a spicy chai flavor (like the mild spice of ginger and cinnamon), but also tasted very watered down. I asked if it was possible to remake it and the barista was super sweet and remade it, but unfortunately it still tasted watery. She even tried to give me a cup of just the chai concentrate to add in, but unfortunately it didn't do much because of how much water there was. I really appreciated her trying though and now patient and understanding she was. If you're used to a creamy sweet chai latte, this might not be your cup of tea. Jameson Brown's chai latte had more of a water base with a splash of milk as opposed to a chai latte with milk as its base. I eventually asked if I could get another drink and ended up with the Mayan Mocha. I've tried this drink hot before, but decided to get it iced. The drink had a bit too much spice for me. It wasn't too hot to handle, but it felt a bit too spiced and overpowering for a drink. I've had the hot version before and I think the spice is more dispersed and balanced when hot whereas iced stung my throat a bit. I tried my sister's Vienna latte and also felt like it was just okay. Maybe I'm just used to a sweeter coffee. I really appreciated the baristas effort though to try to adjust and fix it especially near closing time. The customer service received was great, everyone was super helpful and attentive. The ambiance of the place was nice. At around 1:30 pm, it was quiet with lots of seats and table available and plenty of natural light. It seems like the perfect place to study or work. I'm not really a coffee person (I'm more of a dessert coffee type of drinker) and I think that's why I wasn't a huge fan of the drinks. If you're more of a sweet latte, dessert coffee type of drinker, this might not be the cafe for you. My mom though loves Jameson Brown and it's one of her favorite coffee shops so it definitely has its audience! She says her only critique is that they're inconsistent which may be the reason I wasn't a huge fan of the drinks.

Yelp
Maybe I tried the wrong drink here since there is so many good reviews and they roast their own beans so I might have to stop by again. I wasn't greeted when I entered and the employees were just talking amongst themselves so after looking at the menu I felt like none of the options were too appealing to me. I got an iced oat milk white chocolate mocha latte and it was made quickly. It was way too sweet and you could barely taste the espresso or any coffee notes so it was disappointing. Maybe I got the wrong thing and I barely touched my drink before tossing it. There were lots of people inside but limited parking outside.

Yelp
Still, one of the best coffee shops in the SGV! Just realized a double shot is the same price as a single shot! At $0.95 what other coffee shops can compete for a double shot!? On top of that, seasonal drinks, homemade syrup, half off day old pastries (that are just as good). Great spot to hangout, get work done, whatever. Only bad thing is they don't provide WiFi. You'll have to put on your hotspot, but who doesn't have hot spot nowadays with your cell plan?

Yelp
Been here a few times. Once to study and the rest to pick up coffee. The parking is the greatest foe here. It's all street parking and bring your parallel parking skills. There's usually a line to order but it moves quick. Staff are friendly. The inside is cozy and warm. It can have medium levels of chatter inside. There's also outdoor tables for those with dogs. The pasty I've had before was tasty. The pumpkin latte is one of the best I've ever had. Today I got the seasonal cardamom rose latte. It was quite good! The sugar and hotness levels are tame, which works for me. I've always enjoyed the coffees here. Definitely worth a chance.

Yelp
I was really pleased with Jameson Brown Coffee !!! They have an assortment of drinks! I had my usual Cafe Mocha! The people here are really nice, greeting you with a smile! You can't go wrong here! The ambiance is pleasant with the aroma of freshly brewed and roasted coffee!

Yelp
The space is warm and inviting, with a rustic yet hip vibe. There is ample seating. There is street parking which was a bit busy when I arrived. The baristas were nice and the drinks were done in a few minutes. Their espresso has a nice toasty profile. The orange blossom was a limited specialty item. The flavor was a bit mild compared to other orange blossom lattes I have had at other places.

Yelp
I was more than happy to try a café in a newer area for myself - Pasadena! I had a quick lunch over at Tops, and this was just a quick walk's away! Inside, there was a really cute industrial design, with good decor and plenty of seating with outlets. It wasn't too crowded on a weekday afternoon, so plenty of spots to sit. I got a plain iced vanilla latte, which came out pretty quick. I'm a massive espresso judge, and this one was great and flavorful! I'll definitely return to try some specialty drinks

Yelp
Ordered a cold brew on a less than moderately busy Friday afternoon. Watched about 5 people who ordered drinks behind me pick up their orders. Finally asked about my order and waited some more before the young lady told me this disappointment cup of cold brew was ready for me.

Yelp
Jameson Brown is one of my all time favorite coffee places! I always get the Mayan Mocha. There is nowhere else that I have found in all of Southern CA that you can get a drink that is hot, creamy, not too sweet, and chocolatey with a kick like this! Seriously unsurpassed! My daughter ordered an iced Chai Latte and it was weak and watered down! We were already in the car, but came back because it was just subpar. The barrister was so kind when we brought it back and remade it, but it was the same weak taste. I think the Chai was premade and was just a bad batch maybe. They allowed her to switch the drink altogether so she got a Vienna Latte instead. It was better, but sadly, not good. Drinks are a bit inconsistent, but service is excellent.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop and it's in walking distance! I love the snowball. They always have alternative milks too! They have a great selection of pastries like chocolate croissants, pan de sal and my favorite is the seed bagel. It gets pretty crowded on weekends and late mornings so just be mindful of that but it's a nice place to grab a cup of coffee with friends or even to do some work. They have pretty limited outdoor seating. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Janine M.

Yelp
I love the vibe here! It's loud, and by that I mean that you probably shouldn't expect to come here to study. This is a social coffee spot that is for all- from the neighbors who meet up here after walking their babies in the stroller to the work buds that need their cup of joe. And speaking of Joe... theirs are made in house. Their coffee is good. 9/10 for me. I love the baked goods that are offered here- especially the bacon cheese pandesal and the coffee cake. But if you want those, come early. Their baked goods do sell out. Their parking is on the street and hit or miss since the Honda dealer down the street hogs up lots of spots unnecessarily. Mondays are the worst days to find a spot, for obvious reasons. Only other thing that I'm not a huge fan of is that their hours aren't clearly posted on the door. Otherwise, the staff is nice enough and the options are plentiful.
google avatar

Brianna C.

Yelp
Great service, very nice interior space. I love that you can see the roasting equipment and the beans! The brick walls are very nice to look at too. I got an iced latte and requested less milk (so I could better taste the espresso), but my cup was filled all the way to the top with milk, which was a bummer. I felt bad asking for a re-make so I just kept it as is. It was fine, not my favorite. They only use light roast beans for their espresso drinks, and I prefer medium-dark roasts. But if you like light roast, you'll really dig this place. They have different light roast beans on rotation.
google avatar

Lilianne T.

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday morning and parking was ROUGH. The inside was very spacious and in addition to selling cups of coffee and pastries, they also sold bags of coffee (beans) you could take home! I ordered their honey lavender breve. It's sooo good. I wish it also came iced! I also got a plain butter croissant and it was flakey on the outside but fluffy on the inside. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back again and hopefully with better luck with parking!

Yelp
Great coffee, with fun seasonal offerings. The pastries were tasty and the staff were super friendly.

Yelp
This is the best coffee house I've ever been too, AAAAAAND they roast their own beans in-house! How cool is that? The ambience, 12/10, it's like stepping into an old coffee bean packing house, very industrialized and chic, but homey at the same time. The coffee is excellent, they have a lot of unique options without the menu feeling too overwhelming. The customer service is fairly variable, but beyond that it's an excellent place to get some high quality coffee, let life slow down a touch, and yap with a pal. They have ample seating, with a few tables outside. A visit to this place is a totally immersive experience. And their merch is beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough, it's one of the, if not THE best coffee houses in Pasadena. 12/10 recommend!!

Yelp
I can't complain too much about this place. It's been around longer than most local coffee shops and it's the closest one to where we stay in Pasadena. Good size, decent ambiance. And the coffee is, good. I will say, I have had better but they're up there. My one major complaint would be the inconsistency of my lattes. I always do whole milk and simple syrup, depending on my barista it's either perfect, or they add a drop of simple syrup. I appreciate the fact that they don't want it to be too sweet but if I am asking for simple syrup, I'd like it to go just beyond really bitter. I feel the employees should have a better idea of portions seeing as they have been there forever and many of the employees seem to have been there awhile too. Perhaps they need to have 1-3 levels of sweetness so the barista can refer to those levels and the customer can taste those levels to decide which they like the most. Good news is with this place; they provide simple syrup on the counter if the barista didn't add enough. But man I loveeee when they get it right, it is somewhat inconvenient and obviously an inconsistency when they don't. I will add a 5th star if I go in there the next 3 times and they get it perfect. I think that's fair lol They're great though. Thanks guys.

Yelp
i've seen this coffee shop for a while and have been meaning to visit. the coffee is indeed very traditionally delicious. i ordered the orange blossom latte and it was a great blend of acidity and creaminess. their orange blossom syrup is made in house so it's not overly sweet. very yummy coffee. the chocolate croissant was surprisingly delicious too. i usually get my pastries warmed up but i had this one cold and it was still exquisite. the shop is very spacious and has lots of seating. the coffee shop vibes are great as well. the only issue is, you have to find street parking. another thing is there is NO WIFI... i wish i had known prior to coming here. otherwise the service was fast as well. would recommend for a chill shop.

Yelp
The coffee here was pretty good, their pastries were solid, and I enjoyed studying and doing work here. My friend and I came around 12pm on a weekday and there were several tables open with a good amount of pastries on display. Street parking can be difficult to find but it seems like cars come and go pretty quick. We got the Vienna latte and the Cafe de Olla as well as the kouign amann and almond danish pastries. The Vienna latte was pretty good with a strong taste of espresso and a slight sweetness of cocoa and cinnamon. The cafe de olla was just okay to me. They let us try a sample of it and it was way too sweet from the cinnamon taste for me, so we got it less sweet, but it ended up just tasting diluted rather than tasting like strong cold brew. The kouign amann was like a tall croissant with flaky layers but it was really dry. The almond danish wasn't as dry and I enjoyed it more than the kouign amann because there was more flavor to it. It may be because we came later in the day, but the pastries were quite underwhelming. Overall the coffee is solid with some Mexican-inspired flavors. I mostly enjoyed the spacious interior and vibes of the shop. Maybe I would come back earlier in the morning to give their pastries another try next time.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday around noon, there was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. I ordered a Vienna iced latte and purchased half a pound of coffee beans. The iced coffee was and average price, under $ 6 for a medium cup. The coffee beans were a bit pricey, I only got half a pound and it was short of $15. Now taste wise on the latte, it was very strong which some might enjoy. I couldn't taste the honey in it so it was a bit disappointing as If I wanted a strong coffee I would've ordered an americano or an espresso shot. This spot did have pastries that Looked good, I will stop by if I'm in the area but I'll try a different drink.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this small coffee spot, which roasts its own coffee on site. They have a nice selection of standard and seasonal coffees, some loose tea drinks, along with daily baked goods. They go beyond the basic coffee and offer light, medium, and dark roasts and blends- quite great for any coffee connoisseur! The ambiance is nice but loud. I really enjoyed their Vienna Latte (Honey and cinnamon) and one of their sticky buns. The only not awesome part is their parking which can get tough given only street parking available.
google avatar

Haleh M.

Yelp
Heard really good things about this place so on my day off decided to bring my laptop and get things done. To my surprise there's no wifi. Like how?!? Are we in the Middle Ages?!? Everywhere has wifi.... It was super annoying to use my hotspot from my phone bc it was slow speed but I had already ordered my drink and decided to stay. I got the Vienna latte and it was aight. Nothing memorable or extraordinary to leave me wanting more. The shop is loud and crowded. Not in a people way but in a stuff all over the place way...there were boxes everywhere. The chairs are metal and super uncomfortable if you're planing on sitting for over an hour. Also, the bathroom is super outdated and needs a remodel asap rust and water damage.
google avatar

Kal C.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Really, really awesome spot with an open industrial vibe. There was quite a line, which meant a decent wait. There are baked goods at the counter. The coffee cake is huge, but it was super mono in flavor and intense texture-wise. It's one of the few times I'll say bigger isn't better. They roast their own coffee with the centerpiece red machine. You can't go wrong with any of their coffees, honestly. You can't go wrong ordering one of their specialties.
google avatar

Yelp
Blink and you'll miss it! Jameson Brown is tucked away in the most random spot--industrial vibes, near a highway overpass, and not exactly a place where you'd expect to stumble upon a coffee shop. I only found myself here because I had to take my mom to urgent care (she's fine, thanks for asking), and while waiting, I needed something better than the usual Starbucks. This was the closest option, and let me tell you--I almost didn't find it. It's kind of camouflaged, like a secret coffee speakeasy. But once I spotted it, which I had walked past several times, I knew in my heart this was going to be the place to be. Walking in, I was met with dim lighting and twinkling fairy lights, setting the perfect cozy mood. A great spot to hang out with friends... if you have them. (I, however, was on a solo mission.) Originally, I ordered the Lavender Breve, but after some deep menu contemplation (aka standing around staring at menu board), I realized--oh no--there was a Coconut Breve. And suddenly, my order felt like a the biggest mistake in that moment. In a caffeine-fueled panic, I rushed back to the barista, asking if I could swap my drink. She didn't even flinch--no attitude, no eye-roll, just a quick "got it" and a fresh Coconut Breve in the making. Now that's top-tier customer service! And the verdict? Coconut Breve = 10/10, no notes, perfection. Would absolutely recommend. Would absolutely come back. And next time, I might even bring a friend. Maybe.

Yelp
Coffee here was really terrific. Really cool place inside. Different varieties of coffee from many locales were on offer. Don't think I've ever been to a shop where the roaster was on site in the place. I had a cafe au lait that was perfectly done. Coffee cake hit the spot too. It's extremely busy (rightfully so) so it may take a few minutes for your order to come through. Worth a lil wait.

Spencer M.

Yelp
Good coffee. They close at 2PM-- tragic. No WiFi. Not much else to say. Nice baristas.

Yelp
I came here between clients and I needed an afternoon pick me up. I ordered a pumpkinspice latte and it was perfect. I also got these cheesecake pastry with a type of citrus it. It was not too sweet and very soft. I definitely recommend both items. I was also able to complete some computer work while finishing the pastry. There are plenty of spots to sit and enjoy your coffee. The service was very friendly and made great recommendations. The ambiance matches the spot that is very unassuming and friendly spot to catch up with friends or with work.

Yelp
YASS YASS YASS!!! This place hit all the coffee notches. Lavender drinks are my current coffee obsession and if you have read my other reviews, you know that not all lavender coffee beverages are created equal. I was looking for a close enough coffee joint to get my weekend fix and I saw this place had a lavender drink on the menu with homemade syrup with pretty good reviews. Off I went.... I ordered the Lavender Vanilla Breve. This drink is served hot and there are no substitutions. Chef's . The lavender syrup gave the coffee just enough of a lavender twist so it wasn't overpowering and did not taste like soap. You can also taste the roast of the coffee beans which aren't too strong and pair well with the lavender. Literally, this drink was perfection! While they don't accept substitutions, I'm thinking next time I will ask for a cup of ice and dump it in there myself because I am curious how it tasted iced. I'm not a conformist lol. Please note for those of you counting cals, this is made with half and half, hence why it's called "breve". You only live once, just do it. I don't have much to say about the bagel - it was tasty. How can carbs with cream cheese get a bad review? I've been craving a bagel with cream cheese for a while so I went basic today with the pastry option. There are plenty of seating options inside - a bar table as well as individual tables. There are also a few tables and chairs outside. I couldn't take better pix of the indoor seating area for fear a Karen would spaz I was photographing her. I took home an iced Snowball. Of course I tried it even though I'm having it tomorrow. This drink has a bolder roast taste but you can definitely taste the coconut. I had mine with whole milk as that is how it comes, but they have non-dairy options for $0.75. Didn't we do away with charging for non-dairy options? Anyways, I digress.... I also brought home a chocolate croissant but I haven't tried it yet. I cannot imagine having anything negative to say based on the rest of my experience. By the way, I am unsure if they make their pastries there or source them from a vendor. Does it really matter though as long as they're yummy? Lastly, some reviews mentioned parking was a tad difficult. There is a side street right where the building is and that's where I parked. I can see what others were saying as the street was entirely lined with cars. I got lucky and a car was pulling out as I was arriving. For what it's worth, I went on a Saturday around 2 p.m. In sum, this is your Pasadena go-to for a lavender coffee drink. Based on what I tried so far, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with any of their other drinks if lavender is not your vibe. I will definitely be returning because we gotta try that experiment mentioned above.

Love their delicious coffee and that they have so many non-dairy options. I love hanging out in their cafe when I get the chance.

Yelp
I had the real pumpkin latte... you could taste the spices. This place was just a vibe. You park on the street and you feel like you are in a different city when you get inside the place. The foam and the way the latte was made was just perfection.

Yelp
Love this local gem of a spot! Their menu is simple and they have yummy lattes and solid pastries with plenty of indoor seating to boot. I've tried the Vienna latte, vanilla latte, and chai tea latte here and they're all good. The ham and Swiss cheese croissant is a good one too. The workers are friendly and orders come out quickly. Street parking is readily available so it's not too difficult finding parking.

Yelp
One of my favorite, if not my favorite spot to grab coffee. They roast their coffee beans in-house so they live up to the name! I appreciate that their beans are very strong and I opt for an Americano with a splash of oat milk, but their other drinks are delicious as well. If I had to pick a latte to order, I think their mocha is very good. It has a rich and deep chocolate flavor... though my favorite is their seasonal horchata latte that is only available during the Summer. Please make this a permanent addition to the menu! Whenever it's in season, I order it about every time I come. I go for the half sweet (in which they just add more almond milk) so that it's not overly sweet for my taste. I do not prefer sweet coffees, but their half sweet is just right!

Yelp
Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters is the best! The coffee is consistent. You know every time you order a Lavender Breve Latte it is going to taste the same. They have a menu with a nice variety. There is a little something for everyone. The associates who work here are all very nice. They greet you and smile when they speak to you. The baristas go out of their way and make cute little hearts on your latte. There is plenty of seating. You can bring your laptop and do some work or study while you sip your coffee. Or if you are just looking to meet up with a friend this is a great spot. Highly recommend this coffee spot :)

Yelp
If you're a coffee lover this place is definitely one you should visit. They roast all their beans in house and there's a pretty big roaster kind of in the middle of the cafe. The staff are all really nice. The coffee offerings are unique. Jameson Brown is one of my favorites in the Altadena/Eaton area. I can't visit often , but when I do it never disappoints. The only con, they aren't open on Sundays.

Yelp
I've been going to this place for the past 5 years and still look forward to going there with the same excitement. I enjoy their coconut breves (my personal favorite), and also the cortado/expresso macchiatos. I love their brick walls and the chill ambience.

Yelp
This review is a long time coming, and I think the only reason I've been hesitating to write is that I almost don't want to share Jameson Brown with the world for risk that it'll get too crowded and popular - but that's not fair to them because they are my favorite coffee shop in Pasadena. In a world where more and more cutesy, gimmicky, over-priced coffee shops are popping up, Jameson Brown is a bright, shining FIVE STAR establishment. They brew their own beans, have some of the most delicious coffee cakes and scones, always knock it out of the park with rotating seasonal drinks, and possibly most impressively: you get so much bang for your buck here. It's one of the last places in LA where you can get a 16oz cold brew for less than $5 and it is incredibly smooth and flavorful. Their lattes and specialty drinks are also fantastic - if you like spice I recommend the Mayan Mocha and the Vienna Latte is wonderfully smooth as well. (not to mention you can get 20oz versions of these drinks for under $7) The staff is friendly and knowledgable and there is ample seating - although it can get very busy on Saturdays. It's absolutely a gem of a coffee shop with great drinks and ambiance, so please don't overrun it or abuse them once you RUN there after reading all the glowing reviews lol. Only downsides to mention are: Closed on Sundays and there's no wifi (which can also be a plus if you want to work undistracted). Thanks Jameson Brown, you're one of the best!

Yelp
Snow ball latte 9/10 You're going to love this place, So if you and a friend, want to grab a cup of coffee this place has a lovely ambience. If you're looking to get some work done, you've come to the wrong place because there's no Wi-Fi, which is unusual for a coffee shop. At a time where the local fried chicken spot is likely to have Wi-Fi , a coffee shop without Wi-Fi is a little inconvenient. Not to mention the abysmal parking situation. I had to park down the street two lights down. Cardio is great, but I'd rather have a say in the matter. This is a destination for quality coffee , atmosphere, and a venue to give your undivided attention to whoever's with you. I also hear their baked goods are delicious . I plan to return with my wife and leave the laptop at home.

Yelp
Good selection of pastries. Parking is horrible. The main thing for me is that I've never gotten good steamed milk. Never thick and silky, always airy with a lot of bubbles. Not how it's supposed to be by the way. The lattes are just meh.

Yelp
Solid choice for a local coffee shop! I heard the coffee is amazing, I personally don't drink coffee but I was here for the vibes. The croissant could have been warmed up longer but it was really good. All of the staff were very nice as well.

Yelp
I think how much a person likes their local coffee shop which is also a beanery is very much a matter of personal preference. Given the above, I'm reviewing the experience of coming to Jameson for coffee and not the coffee - which is perfectly fine, but I just prefer Jones. The good: - Genuinely easy to get to by public transport + walking: The Allen Station across the street serves the A and LA Metro bus lines. The Pasadena Transit depot is across the street. The Foothill 187 is two blocks south. Allen Ave. is part of the city walkability project, so it's been easier to walk around nearby, too. - Open early and always warm: great for students and morning commuters. - Great staff and nice pastries - Lively, but not noisy. - Comfortable with a variety of seating options, but I wouldn't mind cushions. - Has outdoor seating The eh: - Parking. It's a mixed use residential area with little street parking and no lot. If you'd like to be in and out, there are a number of fast food places (including Tops and an In-and-Out - haha) and starbucks nearby (Vons, as well as San Gabriel/ Foothill). So: to summarize, Nice, comfortable for morning commuters looking for a place to take a moment before heading to work or classes. I should probably go more often.
