16 Best Things to Do in Dublin | Condé Nast Traveler

"Empty Jameson bottle chandeliers hang from wooden rafters and illuminate the large bar of this whiskey emporium. Remodeled just in time for St. Patrick's Day in 2017, this historic distillery–turned-museum is an attraction for all whiskey lovers . The museum stands at the site of Jameson's original distillery, dating back to 1780, though the brand's major production now takes place in Cork. The 40-minute distillery tour includes a comprehensive Jameson history, a comparative tasting, and a drink on the house at JJ's Bar, the downstairs whiskey bar that's seemingly always rowdy." - Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner

11 whisky distilleries around the world that are worth a visit - SilverKris

"Housed on Bow Street in the Irish capital, this original distillery has been transformed into a lively visitor centre offering guided tours, tastings and whisky cocktail mixology classes. Even though it functions more as an experiential attraction than an active production site, it remains one of Dublin’s most popular tourist stops and caters to both casual visitors and whisky enthusiasts." - SilverKris

I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.

Jameson’s: Great Story… Shame the Whiskey Left for Cork. Here’s the funny thing about the Jameson Distillery tour in Dublin: you walk in expecting copper stills, bubbling mash, secret rooms, workers in overalls — the full Willy Wonka tour but with alcohol. And to be fair, the storytelling is brilliant. Paddy (because of course his name was Paddy) delivered the tour like a man destined for the stage — facts, humour, warmth, the lot. If it were judged purely on personality, this place would win gold. But… plot twist. They don’t actually make any whiskey here. None. Zero. The stuff you taste has taken its little whiskey-self on a scenic journey up from Cork. So while the history is very much present, the whiskey-making is not — which definitely feels a bit misleading when you’re paying premium “distillery tour” prices. Usually with these kinds of tours — think Black Sheep in Yorkshire or XXXX in Brisbane — you get the real backstage pass: the production lines, the smells, the process, the magic. Jameson’s, however, leans heavily into polished sets, heritage storytelling, and then funnels you neatly toward the bar and the gift shop like a well-trained sheepdog. Don’t get me wrong, the setup is gorgeous. The tasting includes three samples plus a cocktail (“here’s some grog, now go buy a bottle”), and the vibes are immaculate. But is it worth the price tag? For hardcore whiskey fans, maybe. For casual visitors? It starts to feel more like a cleverly disguised shopping experience than a working distillery tour. Still enjoyable — but I wouldn’t be rushing back unless Cork relocates.

My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.

Google
What an unforgettable experience at the Jameson Distillery! We opted for the Secret Whiskey Package and savored every moment. The tour was a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and fun, with fascinating insights into the company’s founder and the art of whiskey making. The highlight? Learning the skills of whiskey tasting, followed by a truly delicious sampling experience. Despite the bustling crowd of fellow travelers, the staff made us feel so special and welcome. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return!

Google
This is one of the best distillery tour I’ve ever done! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. Our tour guide was really informative and had a great demote of knowledge about the history of Jameson’s. I’m not usually a Whiskey drinker but after trying a Jamesons, Ginger Ale and Lime in the bar I am converted.

Katarína I.

Google
It was incredible experience. Our tour guide was amazing. First you get free welcome drink - you have 3 options from Jameson (Jameson with lime and ginger is amazing). Then you go to first room, it’s about history of Jameson. Second room is about how to make Jameson and on third you learn about differences, how to smell and taste different Jamesons. With this guide, it was really amazing and I could stay longer than 45 minutes.

Google
Had a fantastic tasting tour on my second visit to this iconic Irish distillery. The guide’s deep knowledge and entertaining presentation made the experience memorable. It’s no wonder Jameson remains one of the world’s top selling whiskeys. Highly recommended!

Google
The tour is small but mighty. They managed to fit so much together that it ended up being my favorite part of Dublin. The presentation of the distilleries History as well as its accomplishments. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was a perfect way to end our day. The John Jamison philosophy of everyone’s family has made this an absolute favorite for life.

Yelp
When planning our Ireland trip, there was a short list of absolute must visits and Jameson Distillery in Dublin was top of that list! As much as Jameson is synonymous with Dublin, you would think they take up several blocks of downtown space...however, this distillery is tucked away on Bow Street in the Smithfield area of the city. It is a little hike on foot from city centre, but on a good day, it is a nice walk that is well worth the reward! The distillery is absolutely gorgeous. The outside if classic Irish infrastructure, then you walk inside and are transported into a modern, rustic, elevated and exciting space dedicated to all things Jameson! We purchased tickets for our guided tour and tasting ahead of time, and I highly recommend you doing the same. Our tour started with a quick introduction to things, then up the stairs we went to the Daily Grog where we got to choose our cocktail, and of course, I went with the Jameson Ginger! From there the tour started where we got to see the inner working of the process, including the ingredients along with a sensory station for tastes, smells, etc...The final tasting allowed us to sample a few different varieties of Jameson, including one that was only available on site. The tour was informative and fun. Our tour guide was fun, engaging, entertaining and an overall joy to wander around and connect with. Clearly a very passionate person about Jameson! After the tour, we wandered directly into the gift shop where we of course picked up a few pieces of swag. Immediately following that, we bellied up to the gorgeous bar downstairs for a final cocktail before heading back out. Overall, Jameson Distillery was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Dublin, and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
One can't go to Dublin and not stop at Jameson. This was a wonderful experience. Booked a regular tasting and a cask draw. Let me start with this... you get a drink while you wait for your tour/tasting to start! From now on, I want all my tours to start this way! Ha. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, and walked us through the Irish Whisky making process while ultimately leading us to the tasting room. We then moved onto the cask draw, where we had a private experience talking about the barrel aging process in a very cool (literally cool) aging room and had the chance to taste a sample of whisky straight from the barrel. As if that tour wasn't enough, we then grabbed a drink at their bar before wrapping up and heading out for a much needed late lunch. Please please please don't drink and drive. The initial tasting alone is enough to put you over the limit.

Yelp
We had a very cool and intimate experience using the 'Secret Tasting' option where we were served four distillery-exclusive bottlings which were all outstanding. There were only 10 people in the tasting and we enjoyed the very classically appointed bar/office used as the venue. My favorite was the cask strength and the 18 year. Both were outstanding. We were also served a special cocktail after the tasting and then enjoyed some time at their bar. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
When in Dublin... This is a must! We didn't have a lot of time, but knew we had to do some tastings. It's a beautiful place and though we didn't get to take a tour, we did find a spot for tasting and really enjoyed the all around atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're into Irish Whiskey or not!!!!

Yelp
We had a standard tour plus a cask draw during our visit, both of which were delightful. We were offered a mixed drink to start the tour, went through a series of interactive sessions, then enjoyed a tasting. From there, we were brought to a side room where they stored the casks then sampled whiskey directly from a cask after learning more about the process and the differences based on age time. We enjoyed both aspects and, even as a non-whiskey drinker, I enjoyed our time there! Plus, there are beautiful bars at the entrance with plenty of drink options for those who just want a spot to sit and enjoy.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Jameson, so had to come by for a tour while in town. The entire place was decked to the 9s in Jameson Christmas bottles and was so warm and inviting. We started the tour with the Bow Street Experience with Eva, who was welcoming and hilarious. Her charm carried throughout the tour. We loved being able to try three different types and the multi-sense explanation of how they distill their whiskey! It was super immersive, and the explanations were visual and super well done. We also did the Cask Draw experience with Alex who was filling in for someone but was super knowledgeable and funny as well. Lastly, I went crazy at the gift shop and bought the distillery edition bottle of Jameson. Val was super helpful and was able to add a name to the label on the bottle for €5 more which is a perfect Christmas present for my dad. Definitely a highlight of my trip!

Yelp
Visited the Jameson Distillery! It was really nice! They have a restaurant that you can get some good food at across the way before your tour (that isn't affiliated). Once you enter, you will find a lobby and a cool bar! They have signature cocktails and you can of course get the whiskey poured straight up. Gift shop is also located in the central area, lots of fun items and bottles! I got a T-shirt and a Red Breast 21 ;) We did the Secret Whiskey tasting, not a full tour. I decided to do this because the normal tour did only included a tasting of some normal Jamesons. I mainly wanted to try some unique whiskeys! The tasting was pretty quick, about 45 min. But you did get to go into the "private office" and try 4 different Jameson branded premium whiskeys. You had an employee guide you through the tasting which was super cool. It was pretty private, since there were only about 8 people in the tour! If you are mainly concerned about the whiskey, I would recommend to do the Secret Tasting! We also hit the bar after the tour to hangout and try some of the signature cocktails!

Yelp
The *secret* whisky tour was amazing. James... my only suggestion is that you need to bring your energy and enthusiasm up a notch, sheesh! The great thing about the secret tasting is that it is intimate and away from the plebs in the general public. Heathens! The amount of time dedicated to a flight of whiskys is just about right. James went through everything with perfect pace and detail, really great. You get to taste exclusive whiskys, available only at this location. Afterwards, I stuck around with my new alcoholic friends and sipped on drinks in the main bar area until it was time for the (add-on) cask pull. This had quite a number of guests, but Niell handled it like a boss. For the love of god, no flash photography!!! To be honest, I haven't traditionally been the biggest fan of Jameson, but this visit was entertaining from start to finish, and I realize now the rest of their product line is nothing to scoff at. Would recommend an elevated experience to get the most from this distillery.

Yelp
I booked tickets online for the Bow Street Experience and Cask Draw (€41 - if you don't want to do the cask draw, the regular experience is €26) for a Saturday at 11:30. We did get there 10 minutes late but the first 10-15 minutes of the tour is getting your included drink at the bar. You can choose from Jameson on the rocks or a Jameson and ginger. From there, they take you into different rooms, where you get to smell the ingredients that go into distilling Jameson, and tell you about the history and the process. You'll also get to try a few different Jamesons. From first drink to finish, the whole thing lasts probably about an hour. When booking the cask draw, the website tells you to make sure you book for an hour after the Bow Street Experience so that you have enough time to finish the tour. We booked the 12:30 and it starts on time, and lasts for about half an hour. They take you into the barrel room, where they explain the whiskey, and then you get to taste cask strength single pot still whiskey, drawn straight from the cask. I don't remember what ABV they said it was but it's very high and not something that should be taken as a shot. In fact, it's so high that children are not allowed in the barrel room because of the fumes from the alcohol. Neither my husband nor I knew this at the time of booking, and we had our 8-month-old with. We just thought they bring you into a regular room, and let you taste the cask-strength whiskey, but you actually get to see them draw it, which was cool. Initially, we were just going to take turns doing the cask draw but my husband didn't end up doing it and they were able to refund us. So just something to keep in mind - if you're just looking to taste the whiskey or if you have kids with you, you might be better off going to the bar (though I'm not too sure if this exact one is served there). The experience is definitely for tourists but I would say it's one of those must-see tourist spots if you find yourself in Dublin.

Yelp
When in Dublin you need to do Jameson! It's my go to drink with ginger ale and to drink exclusive versions during the tour was so much fun and got a nice buzz going Our tour guide Colin was great informative and fun and funny The staff in general very nice and helpful The place is bigger than you think as you walk room to room and explore during the tour Everything is organized well and it's a fun time Love Jameson!

Yelp
We had an amazing time! Alexandra, the tour guide, gave the ultimate whiskey experience. Her knowledge and personality really made it feel like we were family. She even took a picture with us afterwards. Will definitely do this again!!! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
All the drinks here are so amazing! They have perfected to ratios and flavors to complement and create the Jameson mix drinks. I got the Jameson cold brew, cola and orange and I was blown away! I never would have put that combo of flavors together but it all mingled so well! My friends also got drinks and I didn't catch the names of what they ordered but it was all so good. It really felt like you couldn't go wrong with any of the menu options! The inside had plenty of seating and the aesthetic was pretty. A lot of the decor was just displayed bottles of alcohol. Cool place, definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
Such a fun and worth while experience. We just did the basic tour and were able to purchase tickets online. We did the first tour of the day right off the plane but it gave you a fun history of the distillery and a tasting. After the tasting you also get a free drink downstairs.
google avatar

Becky C.

Yelp
Lots of fun. Cool way to learn about such a famous spirit. They take you on a tour and do a presentation which was very impressive. You learn all about the process and there's a tasting with 3 types of Jameson. Lots of drink options.
google avatar

Jarenn N.

Yelp
Robin was an amazing tour guide! I loved that the tour was very interactive, high tech, with great story telling. Tasting the 3 whiskeys was really interesting when it was led by Robin and we had a drink the start the tour off as well. Would highly recommend this as an activity in Dublin! Bought my tickets online and checked in easily. Staff is great and their facilities are clean and well kept.

Yelp
Ok, I loved this! I've had a bit of Jameson in my time! ( I won't say just how often I enjoy a nice neat Jameson, people judge. ha.) When I walked in I swear I heard angels singing. It is beautiful. You feel the history and the love that goes into this brand. We had not booked ahead of time but had no problem getting into the next available tour, only 10 minutes wait. Before the tour officially starts you go upstairs to a bar and can choose from 1 of 3 Jameson drinks. I chose the Jameson and ginger thinking it would last me a bit longer ... apparently I was pretty thirsty and the drink was tasty. Daniel then invited us all in to the first room to kick of the official tour. He was funny and engaging. Top notch tour guide! We went through the history in one room and then the process of making the whiskey in the next room. Both rooms have really cool audio-visual effects. The third room is the tasting room. We each enjoyed three tastings. Daniel was fantastic at explaining the differences and the processes that make those differences. Back downstairs there is a really attractive and busy bar.

Yelp
Jameson was my third distillery to visit on this trip after Bushmills* in Northern Ireland and Kilbeggan in the Republic. This one was definitely impressive and I enjoyed the experience. A number of whiskeys were consumed including the "welcome" drink for the tour, three tastings as part of the tour and then I purchased a final drink in JJ's Bar at the end. My friend described Jameson's tour in Dublin** as Disneyland and yes, it feels quite engineered and scripted. Perhaps because this is such a huge tourist draw, they have a series of rooms with videos and lighting and multimedia screens with some interactive touches and smells that crank people through swiftly. It's fun and it's enjoyable but it absolutely feels "produced." I would still highly recommend it. Lots of history, lots of displays, lots of information about the largest producer of whiskey in Ireland. Jameson outsells their competition by ten-to-one. They have an extensive gift shop and I did check prices. They're the same as the prices in the duty free at the airport though there are a few unique whiskeys that are only here. So if you're looking to avoid carrying your whiskey throughout the rest of your trip, that's an option. [Round number review 23000*** overall - review 1978 of 2024 - 159 in Republic of Ireland] * Bushmills was my favorite. Sorry! ** Eight years ago, my 6900th review was the Guinness Storehouse. Jameson's was closed for remodel at the time. *** 1000 reviews in 136 days! Number 22000 was Atlantic Dunes Park in Delray Beach, Florida.

Yelp
Very cool place. We went for a whiskey tasting with a great host. We had four different whiskies which convinced me to buy more! Lots of photo ops with a nice shop for souvenirs and bottles to take home. Next time we will do the tour. Lots of places around the area for food and drink. Also got an old fashioned at the bar. Loved it.
google avatar

Yelp
We had the absolute BEST experience! Thank you to Neásan for booking us our tour, and Paddy for being the best guide. This was an unforgettable experience for my family and I. Not only did we get to try some great Jameson whiskies, but we also learned so much about the company and how Jameson is made. At the end of the tour, I surprised my dad and bought him his own custom bottle of Jameson black barrel. He was thrilled! Everyone here is so nice and helpful, and the distillery itself is very cool. Definitely a must see if you come to Dublin!
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
Conor made this so much fun. He really engaged the group and when we enjoyed the punch we had a jolly time chatting together. Love the whiskey sour and I didn't think I liked whiskey! My husband loved it all. Thanks Conor for a great time! We will make cocktails at home for our friends.
google avatar

Hayley H.

Yelp
We did the 45-minute tasting and tour! It included a complimentary cocktail (3 different options), a tasting of 3 different whiskeys, and the tour explaining the process of how Jameson was started and made. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable! The group was about 20-30 people. The gift shop had lots of fun Jameson themed items and gifts!
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
This was a fun place to check out. My friends and I did the distillery tour and were able to walk right up and book the next time available slot which was about 30 minutes later. If you are staying at the Generator hostel next door, let them know and they will give you a discount on your ticket. The tour lasted about 25-30 minutes and the tasting was at the end. I will say.. I am not a whiskey fan at all so this was tough for me to get through but I'm sure if you like whiskey then this is absolutely perfect for you. I really just came for the experience + to have Jameson in Ireland and I still found it enjoyable. The tour guide was charismatic and I thought there was a lot of interesting information talked about throughout! You do get a free drink at their bar at the end of the tour.
google avatar

Katrina V.

Yelp
My friend and I got tickets for the Jameson Distillery tour around 3pm on a Sunday. Right off the bat, you kick the tour off with a complimentary drink. I know that there were 3 choices, but I could only recall whiskey neat (or on the rocks) and a cocktail of Jameson, ginger, and lime. No pressure to consume the drink before the tour starts; you can sip it along the way. The tour was awesome. Our guide, Kieran, was funny and passionate. I loved how interactive and high-tech the exhibits were. Very cool, seamless projections told the story of Jameson's history, how the whiskey is distilled, etc. The tasting room was at the end of the tour where we got to try 3 samples including the original, Distillery edition (my personal favorite), and Black Barrel. After the tour, my friend and I enjoyed a few more drinks at the bar. It was a lively spot with friendly bartenders, and a great way for us to mingle with other tour goers.

Yelp
This tour was amazing!! Our tickets included entry to the distillery and whiskey tasting. I was so impressed with the right way to taste whiskey was and how amazingly delicious it tastes. Our tour guide was so fun, friendly and knowledgeable. The distillery is absolutely beautiful and so well kept. I highly recommend this when in Ireland!
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Emer was an incredible tour guide! It was only her second week and she did an amazing job. This was one of our favorite things in Dublin that we did. We did the basic tour that they have and we learned so much about their history. Afterwards we grabbed a drink at the bar and did a red breast tasting. Red breast was the best bourbon we had there so I would recommend doing that when you visit. The orange chocolate drink had amazing flavors. The bar was super clean and the staff were all amazing. Definitely make time to go!
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Better than expected. We did the basic tour and the barrel tasting. We didn't have reservations we just walked in. My husband didn't want to go but we were just down the street. He really enjoyed the visit. It is very commercialized. But, the tour was entertaining and informative. I would visit again but schedule a cocktail make class in advance.
google avatar

Kamron H.

Yelp
So glad I did a distillery tour. The quality of the whiskey is much better at the distillery than getting a bottle somewhere outside of Ireland. The tour guide is super friendly knowledgeable and got all guests involved in the tour. Tour prices and drinks at the regular bar were super reasonable in price and gotta try red bird whiskey when you visit here. It's their staple fancy whiskey that's super smooth and takes the edge off better than most fine whiskeys
google avatar

Grace P.

Yelp
Really happy with our experience here! I went into this tour not knowing any details and ended up loving it. We did the Guinness tour the day before and felt like it kinda fell short, and enjoyed this more in comparison. It isn't too long which I enjoyed, but it is entertaining and the space is great. We had a drink before the tour at the bar and it was one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had. The tour started with a welcome drink as well. Definitely felt like it was worth it and was a nice way to spend some time.

Lara W.

Yelp
We had Emer and she was AMAZING!! So funny and was really getting people into the experience. Considerate to those not drinking and involving everyone. I am not a big whiskey drinker and even I enjoyed this tour! The place itself is really cool to look at and catches your attention. Does not feel like a walk around, has many things going on and is worth it for sure!!
google avatar

Yelp
Obviously when Ireland you need to go to the Jameson Distillery & do the tasting. It's a great time, it isn't too long & the experience is wonderful. Personally not a whiskey drinker but why not if you're here! The tour was great, our tour guide had great information & was very animated. After the tasting we did the 20yr cast tasting which is totally worth it! Trevor was our tour guide for the 20yr cast draw & he had great information too! Super friendly! Recommend asking for Trevor. The Jameson tour was very neatly set up. Come in, grab a free drink, do the tasting of their 3 whiskeys then head over to the 20 yr cast draw. Pair this day with a Guinness tour. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
3.5 stars. We purchased our tickets through the Big Bus Tour company so they were good for anytime arrival. I'm not a whiskey drinker, but that's not really my reasoning for the star count. We had done the Whiskey Museum earlier that day which was insightful and informative about Irish whiskey in general. Then we went to Jameson a few hours later and it felt a bit like a cattle call. They assign a certain number of people into large groups, then herd you into a room where you start off with your cocktail - either Jameson ginger lime or Jameson sugar free lemonade. Both were actually very tasty. Then we were taken into a room where we watched some media history about Jameson before taken into another media room where we learned about the distillation process and smelled different parts of the fermentation. Finally we were taken back to the first media room which then had our samples and water to cleanse our palates. We were given standard Jameson, the distillery's own Jameson that you can only buy/drink there, and finally the 12 year. Our guide Daniel was super knowledgeable and was able to answer questions from the crowd. It's a pretty quick tour which is nice - about 45 minutes total. The gift shop was pretty weak compared to having just been at Guinness whose gift shop is ELITE. I say this is probably worth doing while in Dublin just to say you did, but in my opinion you get a much more in depth history lesson of Irish Whiskey at the Whiskey Museum in town for the same price and get more samples/souvenir glass.

Yelp
Omg came straight over here from a long L.A. flight, jet-lagged and with an empty stomach. No regrets! Lol got the tour and it was nice knowing the little history of it along with some tastings that were included. The shop is pretty cool especially if you're a collector. They have one bottle of Jameson you can't get anywhere but here and you can also get it engraved. You're in Ireland you gotta stop by this place!

Yelp
The place is so nice & big. Has lots of room & bottles of whiskey everywhere, of course. Amy, our cocktail class instructor, was awesome!! She took us into the cocktail classroom & we each had our own workstations to make our cocktails. She went over the history of Jameson it was very interesting. We started off with her telling us about an easy drink to make for gatherings. It's called a punch she put a lot of ingredients together so that it can mix together & sit for a while before we had it. After that, we started our first cocktail, we lined up all the ingredients & started putting them all together. Then, I got ready to mix it all up to make sure & get the foam from the egg whites. We made a strawberry sour it was delicious & came out beautiful. Enjoyed the first drink, then started lining up everything for our second drink we were gonna make. Added all the ingredients & mixed it up. It was old-fashioned & it was really good as well. At the end, they took us to a private part of Jameson Distillery to finish up the last drink the punch. We were able to stay there & have that drink & we also received a recipe book to take home so we can make these drinks again at home. Can't wait to come back when in Dublin, Ireland.

Yelp
Had a great time both on the Jameson tour and afterwards having a couple drinks in the bar area. The tour was fairly quick, but gave a good history of Jameson and their distilling process. At the end, you get to taste three of their whiskeys, which for us was the original, the Black Barrel, and the Distillery Edition. Definitely should visit if in Dublin.

Yelp
My husband really wanted to check this place out as he is a fan of Jameson Whiskey. The tour talks about the history of Jameson and where it's grown to today. They no longer distill out of Dublin, but it is where they started, hence why they still have the tour here. The tour concluded with three small tastings and a whiskey drink of your choice at the end of the experience. There was also a gift shop for you to purchase Jameson related products. If you're a fan of Jameson Whiskey, it's not a bad tour to check out, but personally I'd rather just do the tasting. Keep and eye out for promo codes. We found one at the hotel we were staying at and got 10% off ticket price.

Yelp
If you visit Dublin, you MUST come here. There were many great sites on our trip but this was one of the most memorable and in no small part due to our guide, Molly. I will confess to have never in my life having tried Jameson but we were told this tour was worth it. The history behind this incredible Irish Whiskey is fascinating. Even if you don't drink alcohol at all, you will be captivated by the story of Jameson. We did not have reservations but we just walked up and were able to get tour tickets and the start it off right by giving you a drink to have on the tour. And at the end, there is a gift shop with some very quality T-shirts... and Irish Whiskey too (of course). I've had whiskey back home in the states and we tried whiskey on Scotland but there is no question that Jameson is my number one choice. Again, even if you don't drink, you will enjoy the tour (especially is Molly is your guide). I'm sure all the other guides are as knowledgeable, but Molly sure knew how to get the group engaged and made the tour such a fun and memorable experience.

Yelp
I highly recommend coming here for a cocktail making class. You get 3 drinks out of it (4, if you share a cool fact) and you can to have a neat cocktail menu/recipe book to keep. What's not to like. Our tour guide knows his stuff and gave a few explanations on why you chose this ingredient over that. Very good lessons!

Yelp
The tour was fantastic, our guide Erin was informative, funny, and engaging with the group. If you come to Ireland you must put this on the list of places to visit.

Yelp
I do not remember This place as it has been years since I went to visit. but it was def on my top three places to visit in Ireland. I am pretty sure we had a tour of the distillery and prob got some free tastings. I remember the light fixture had Jameson bottles. It was cool. If you are in the area this is a must visit.

Yelp
For whisky lovers or non-drinkers, great place to view and taste Jameson. When you're done, head to Carrolls to bring home souvenirs.

Yelp
We didn't have time for the tour, so we stopped in for a drink. Place is clean and sleek. Bartenders are friendly and efficient. We ordered The Trad and The Choco Orange, both delicious if you're an Old Fashioned drinker. The Jameson store was smaller than we expected, however, we purchased some really nice whiskey! I will be back to take the tour.

Yelp
This place is hopping and a graining. Everyone is here to enjoy all the many experiences of Jameson. The interior bar is roomy and lots of seating in and outside. They have a gift shop also for shirts and etc. I tried the Trad which is an old fashion, and it was great. Also had a shot of Jameson orange which was good. Looks like the winner was the Irish coffee special everyone was walking around with. Parking was easy and it was a close walk to the front entrance. Happy I picked this out of all the other tours, it was fun..

Yelp
We had so much fun here. Definitely do the cask draw. Jameson in Dublin has a rich history as one of Ireland's most iconic whiskeys. Established in 1780, Jameson's mantra, "Sine Metu" (Without Fear), speaks volumes about its founder's daring and risky approach to distillation. The 1960s marked a pivotal era when Jameson's collaboration with other distilleries helped save the Irish whiskey industry. Whiskey is called "uisce beatha" in Gaelic --the water of life. The visit is not complete without a toast "Sláinte" (Good Health).

Yelp
If you're a fan of Irish whiskey and Jameson in particular this is a must do. The tour is very informative and provides you tastings that elevate your senses. After the tour you can sit at one of their bars and learn some ne drinks from their skillful mixologists.

Yelp
I'm not a whiskey drinker but the espresso martini made with Jameson Cold Brew at the Bow Street distillery is worth buying a flight for alone. My best friend is a Jameson lover and we had to experience everything the Bow Street experience had to offer. We did a tour, our tour guide was great and gave us plenty of fun facts associated to the experience. He also encouraged plenty of questions and with a small group tour, we felt like we could ask and learn throughout the experience. (Please note the first 15 minutes is self guided and allows you to explore the space.) Both of us became obsessed with Jameson Crested. It's a whiskey that's available basically everywhere with the exception of the US and one of the oldest flavors of Jameson. It was incredible and we both ended up buying bottles of it to bring home. The extra add ons offered are also pretty fun (sampling whiskey out of the barrel - woah man, it'll grow hair on your chest ) and bottling your own whiskey is fun too. Pro tip: buy before you fly to Ireland there are bubble wrapper envelopes made for wine bottles that our bottles of whiskey fit in to travel home in within our checked baggage. No issues at all and we're both SO happy we packed them! Save them for your next trip!

Yelp
If you visiting Dublin and you are a whiskey drinker this place is a Holy Grail. The tour was super interactive with complimentary drink and whiskey tasting. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The pictures will give you a glimpse of what to expect. Also if you want to bring a cool gift home they can put your name on the bottle. Slainte!

Yelp
Our group decided to go to the Jameson Distillery on Bow St for their general tour and tasting experience. The tour itself lasts about 45 minutes between the "tour" and tasting. The distillery itself is beautifully done with accents to the spirit lines they have and is a very cool atmosphere to grab a drink. What we didn't realize was none of the machinery is at this location anymore. The tour included a welcome drink, discussion of the history of the distillery, how their operations current work, and the process of distilling their liquor. We ended with a tasting of (3) spirits neat. Our entire group felt the experience was lacking and not curated to Jameson itself. One could learn anything from the tour on a youtube video. Overall, I would recommend going for a drink but nothing more.

Yelp
The Jameson Distillery is a must-visit for everyone ! It's a place where you can learn all about the history and process of making this famous drink. The tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. Plus, at the end of the tour, you get to taste some delicious Jameson whiskey. The atmosphere is lively, and it's a great opportunity to understand and appreciate the craft behind this iconic spirit. You don't need to go on a tour to enjoy some Jameson cocktails but the tour is a bonus and for sure not boring. For sure coming back when I visit Ireland again.
