Jamie's Italian São Paulo

Somebody tells Jamie they put cream in the risotto there!!! I am almost sure of that, would like to confirm other’s opinion, but the risoto doesn’t look like done the Italian way. Well, a part from that it was lacking flavor, a proper risotto/sauce “ao limone” has lemons flavor, mine was really blend. Chicken was well done and I liked the desert, but nothing special. I was really expecting more, plus it was very expensive for what was served.

It’s currently one of our favorite restaurants in São Paulo. We usually order the Pear&Pinole Salad with grilled salmon and a gluten-free pasta. The environment is very pleasant, like a wooden cabin surrounded by a nice garden. The mushroom risotto is another must try! It is delicious!

The place is cozy, the service was good, and the food is very good. Nothing extraordinary, but very good, and in fair quantity. The price is not high. I ate the burrata, which was delicious, but the nuts had a small insect. Also ordered the parmegiana eggplant, which was wonderful, with stir-fried vegetables, but those were slimy, and I could eat.

The restaurant was 1/4 filled when I arrived. That should have been my first indication something was not right. No one was available to seat me. I waited for a few until someone arrived. Service was quite slow, and servers were inattentive. The chicken was overcooked. The potatoes were soggy with oil. It was very loud in the restaurant. It was not a good experience.

The restaurant has an excellent location and the decoration brings a romantic look, good place for couples. The entries have an option of shrimp that has an amazing sauce with it. The main dishes are plenty, I'd recommend eating the Rib Eye Steak with truffle butter, is a culinary orgasm, the only problem is that you finish always wanting a bit more. The fries on the side dishes are Ok, not that crunchy and a bit heavy to go with the dish, would like them cut thinner. For the pasta, their bolognese sauce is very good and the pasta usually comes in a large quantity, so be hungry!

A stuning experience. Everything was impeccable, from the attention, the quality of the dishes, aromas, flavors, textures, impressive. I have no doubt why it has a Michelin recognition

Modern Italian cuisine, cosy ambient, very friendly staff and great selection of dishes and wine. You will like overall experience. Don't miss Italian Nachos. You'll love it. Caution: very hot (spicy). I used Google maps to get there and sent me to wrong entrance: be aware to go to Horacio Lafer Street ( and not Clodomiro Amazonas Street).

The restaurant was empty at 9:30 PM and was no longer accepting customers, even though the closing time is 11:00 PM. The waiter claimed they were closing early because business was very slow. We went to another Italian restaurant a block away, which was packed like everything else in São Paulo.
