Jamrock Jerk is the best food truck I have ever experienced in my lifetime. Not only is the food unbelievable! The service is all the way 5 star! Speaking from someone that has spent extensive time in Jamaica before it became Americanized many years ago. The food on this food truck is prepared just like it is prepared in Jamaica.
I really could not tell the difference. Only thing missing was the coco bread, and rum punch....but if you're watching your figure, who cares about bread.... (Shrugs shoulders)
Definitely check out this amazing food truck. They are in different locations throughout Manhattan. You will truly enjoy the freshly prepared, authentic Jamaican food.

The food was tasty. However, $25 for THREE pieces of oxtails is RIDICULOUS. And this doesn’t even really qualify as three pieces because one was so tiny. I love trying food and supporting different businesses. But this was a complete ripoff. Never again.

Literally the worst food I’ve had in months. Tasteless, NO OXTAIL GRAVY, stiff plantain. Only the juice was good. Very disappointed. I did everything I could to get a refund and could. I should’ve got peppa’s ins-tead. Like wow all my friends could see how upset I was

I ate oxtail meal before from other restaurants and while some were bad . I have never had this bad of an experience.I don’t know if the food was going bad , if the chef was having a bad day but the food made me nauseous and left my stomach feeling weird . No freshness in the meal , just a lot some-things perhaps spices to confused the public that the meal is good. Negative!

This is a great food truck. Nice to see they have multiple for everyone to try. Would be nice for them to ad a brick and mortar but I’m sure rent is way to high for that. Their prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. We had the chicken and pork. The chicken was better. The pork was just a little dry but good flavor on both. The rice and beans were some of the best I have had. This is a must if in the city.

Only option in the hood for Jerk chicken and pork.
Only open Sundays, from May until October.
Meats are not overly seasoned and have good but not overwhelming flavor. The pork is probably a leg/ Boston butt, juicy & moist, for the most part. The later on in the day, the drier and colder the meats are, so get there early. Lines go faster than you think.
They take Apple Pay.
When the itch hits & you don’t wanna get on a train-It’s good enough; it’s not a destination.

This is actually for the 53rd st / park ave location. First time having chicken from a food truck cart and I’m telling you, this place is legit. If you visit this place, please come hungry because the portion is huge, it is enough to put me into food coma. The chicken (dark meat) is juicy with good amount of seasoning with a bit of peppery taste and the rice is cook to perfection. Sweet plantain is a medium softness, just the way I like it. Money is definitely well spend for the amount of food you get. Happy to support small business.

Chicken was good, and sauce was great. Didn't like little pieces of bone from chopping the chicken. Mac and cheese was dry, rice was good with the jerk sauce, was spicy enough without hott saice.
