"It’s hard to wrong with any order at this Atlanta Jamaican restaurant institution. Try one of the curry plates at Jamrock, including the rich curry shrimp and curry snapper, or opt for a plate of braised oxtails or a hearty sandwich, like the Hotty Hotty jerked chicken and turkey bacon topped with peppers and onions. Breakfast is also served here, featuring callaloo and saltfish, dumplings, and saltfish fritters. Keep an eye out for specials, too, such as jerk fish fried rice." - Eater Staff

50 something and this is the 1st bad review I've ever done. It absolutely had to be done! The cabbage, rice & peas were over cooked and lacked seasoning. Curry chicken was fatty, over cooked and again no seasoning. The jerk chicken seemed to be oven baked, definitely not on a grill, also lacking seasoning. I can't believe Jamicans actually cooked this food. It's sad. The pictures you see are after I shelled the food out to my family on plates. It was not all eaten. 1st and last time eating here. Try your luck! YUCK!

Having Jamaican roots myself, I've often found that subpar customer service can sometimes lead to discovering hidden culinary gems. However, my recent experience at this establishment was quite the opposite. Invited for lunch by a business associate, I was disappointed right from the outset. The staff, particularly one individual, displayed a noticeable attitude problem. As a visitor, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. The food, including the curry chicken and jerk chicken featured in the images below, was passable at best. To compound matters, the washroom was out of order, and the beverage fountain .

Fried snapper, ox tail and patty were amazing!!!!!! This place is just the right size to feel like you are in jamaica with good people and good food. So glad we stayed at the hotel down the street to get more food the next day. We will definitely be back here for more shows and good food in the future.

Delicious! I had the Curry Chicken. I opted for the rice with beans, cabbage, and sauce on my rice. It was excellent! The meat just melted off the bone. I didn’t need a knife at all, just a plastic fork. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a selection of Jamaican soft drinks and juices. I had a pineapple soda. It was great! There’s not a ton of seating so when it gets busy you’ll have to get your food to go. What a gem!

I eaten here a few times, and over all the food isn’t bad. Sometime they can be hit or miss but that’s every restaurant. This time I got curry chicken with white rice and cabbage.

I have no idea how this place has 4 stars! Must be family leaving fake reviews. The food was anemic! Lacking anything jamaican! LOOK AT THE MAC&CHEESE! Only a thin old crusty layer of cheese on the top of plain macaroni. NO CHEESE MIXED IN! Nothing was curried on the curry chicken. Cabbage 🗑 Rice 🗑 Beef patty 🗑. Robbery!!!!
