JAMZ is a late night creamery in Inglewood that serves a variety of ice cream options as well as cakes (topped with said ice cream). I came on a Wednesday evening and was surprised how empty it was. It was nice to chat with the owner and learn about how they started the business before proceeding to place our orders. There were a few vegan friendly options (mostly sorbets) but I went with a cookies and cream scoop. It was fine and icy but nothing too remarkable aside from it being a non-fruit option. I probably wouldn't get it again. I enjoyed being able to chill inside and enjoy the large TV screens blasting some solid music videos. Overall, a nice spot to hang for a bit if you're in the area.

Yoooooo this place is fire! Came here on a whim, asked A.I what was the best ice cream nearby, it said this place, no lies I'm coming here again when I come back to LA. Special thanks to my man Jay he hooked it up with them ice cream cake sandwiches 4sho! They was mad delicious! 🔥🔥🔥

Must say every dessert I tried here has been very tasteful,and I was very comfortable every visit. I plan to go on dates here 😂 and can't wait to bring my grand children here. This is definitely a place to create beautiful memories, I highly recommend. The ice-cream is perfectly prepared and you can taste the love put into it...

My wife and I first came here for a date when we were in the courting stage, and now it’s a special spot where we bring our daughter for ice cream. This place is truly amazing—the owner is incredibly kind, the ice cream is delicious, and the music creates such a great atmosphere. I hope this shop is around for generations to come, so one day, our daughter can bring her own kids here. A true gem!

Black Owned creamery with the best customer service imaginable. The atmosphere is very fun and inviting. We got the jazz and root beer float and both were great.

Heading to Kia Forum for Janet Jackson, we found this gem ice cream shop! Gimme all the ice cream and cool music in a whimsical shop! I'm living for this! The owner was fun and friendly! The ice cream treats are delish! Jams on the video screens playing Beyonce and so many other jams. Easy parking and easy to find!! I give 5 stars for happiness . We will come back for sure!!

First, damn good ice cream. Lots of selections. Its a small cute little shop. If you arent lookin for it you could miss it. The guy inside was really nice and very accommodating. Parking not the best but i walked over to it and it was worth it. Id definitely say take the time to check them out.

Black Owned Ice Cream Parlor. Main Street parking. Nice establishment, clean, good music playing. The customer service was great the gentleman man there was really nice! A lot of flavors to choose from! I got coffee ice cream w/ brown sprinkles in a waffle cup and my partner got cookies and cream w/ fruity pebbles in a waffle cup. We sat inside to eat because we liked the music so much. Definitely recommend, gotta go back next time and try the cake/ice cream sandwich situation they got going on.

Nice local ice cream shop in downtown Inglewood. Very welcoming and spacious seating. Had a nice Black Walnut milkshake here, and that is a rare flavor to get. Service was extremely friendly.

Hmm maybe we came on an off day because our experience was a bit different from all the glowing reviews.... We came in to get some ice cream as a mini celebration for our anniversary. Whoever was helping was did allow us to sample the ice creams (we sampled 3 between the two of us), but I felt some impatience coming off and felt unwelcomed. Maybe we took too long to decide? Also the ice cream itself tasted a bit old/dry, and not as creamy as I thought or expected. Our experience was a bit of a let down. We want to give this place another try, especially after really looking forward to trying it to top off our special day.

5/5 we came 29 minutes before they closed on a Saturday night. This man, I believe his name is Jay? SO NICE. Funny, cordial, and soooo nice to talk to. Patient answered all my questions. We're from OC and next time I find myself in the area I will go, and I will recommend to others. I got the Jazz with red velvet cake & black cherry! AMAZING. And good for my sensitive teeth Again, customer service 12/10. thank you sir I've never tipped at an ice cream place, and I would again.

Really clean facility and great staff. It was a very late night but their attitudes were chipper. There is street parking and they have a lot of great options. I got the red velvet cookie sandwich. They play music videos here which is cool and I love the neon lights they have/signs.

Out of towner came here and felt SO welcomed by Jay. We loved the vegan cookies and cream. Sad this isn't my local ice cream joint! I hope other locals will see this and try Jamz!

I highly recommend Jamz Creamery after checking it out, great customer service and quality ice cream. It was also really cool meeting the owner and having him share some of how he got started! I had a strawberry and banana shake that was amazing, peanut butter cookie and sugar cookie. you could taste the fresh fruit in the shake unlike some places that just use fruit syrups in their product. I found Jamz after googling black-owned businesses to check in the LA area. I will be back when I visit LA again and I definitely recommend you all to check out their ice cream and cookies. The inside of establishment was clean and the music while waiting was great. Great spot for a little date night or after dinner treat.

The ice cream was so good, I ate it quickly and didn't snap a pic! Very fresh, definitely has that homemade taste. The owner said everything is made in-house. I thought I was getting a basic cookie dough scoop, but it was above average. Clean little shop with lots of seating. I'll definitely be coming here this summer to beat the heat

Jamz is a hometown favorite! My kids grew up visiting Jamz for Academic and Sports celebrations. You can go anywhere for ice cream, but this is a special place. The owner Jay and his sister never fail to make my kids feel special. They remember that big test my kid mentioned at their last visit or they'll ask how the kids did in their latest game. Plus the environment is cool and bright. Jamz is the place to go for any special occasion, team event, or for a quick treat.

Jamming at JAMZ Creamery for the first time. The service was on point. It was a rainy day and was craving ice cream. Love the decor which is vibrant and welcoming. Red velvet cake on top, vanilla on the bottom, cookies n cream ice cream with caramel drizzle. They are so nice inside, patient with all of my questions. Parking can be tricky but depends on the time.

I love this spot it's a bit pricey but honestly worth every penny. This is the place I take my little man when he does good he is rewarded with this ice cream. The Cotton candy is my little guy's favorite but all of the ice cream here is good. I highly recommend you try it and support local black owned businesses.

Was looking for an ice cream spot that was still open late at night. Happy we found this spot. They had a decent selection of flavors and toppings. My lady had the Black Cherry Ice cream with sprinkles and i had the Salted Caramel with waffle pieces. All were pretty tasty. The gentleman behind the counter was polite and helpful. The spot has a decent amount of seating. If you're having a date night and you want to keep it going check out this spot. I mean you should still check this spot even if you're single, but you know what i mean! You like ice cream right? Then check out this spot.

In town for the weekend with my boy (3 years old) and we were looking for some milkshakes. Decided to try JAMZ and it may end up being the best decision of our whole trip! Not only were our milkshakes (strawberry and mint chocolate chip) out of this world delicious but the owner Jay was phenomenal! He didn't just warmly greet us but made us feel like long lost friends. My son can be very shy but Jay was speaking his language. I can't imagine a better place to go for dessert! Thanks Jay for helping make our "Dude's Trip" extra special, the milkshakes didn't even make it back to our hotel! SO GOOD!!!

If I could give him zero stars I would! He knows exactly how he welcomed us today. Still has the nerve to say he hopes the Lord finds his way into our life. I'm not sure what is it that bothered him maybe because we had 8 kids with us AND DO NOT!! DO NOT ASK CUSTOMERS if they're mad after you're acting funny with them!!! we did feel he was racist in some kind of way. He never greeted us when we walked in, but as soon as we were walking out an African American woman walked in and he yelled "HOLA!!" Why HOLA? Were you making fun of us?? What went through your mind SCREAMING LOUD AND CLEAR HOLA!?? He was being very sarcastic about us being mad because of the way he was "helping us" he was so mad that we wanted to order one ice cream cone at a time, and still acted like he didn't understand what we were telling him. Maybe if he would have took off his air pods while speaking to a customer he would of have.He was on his phone the whole time while attending us and still telling the person he was talking to about us. SHAME ON YOU! Your ice cream it's not $1 we spend almost $50 on 8 ice cream cones and an ice cream sandwich, which I don't mind paying but come on we could off went anywhere else and we decided to go with you and that's the attitude you gave us?? Customer Service was terrible.The owner "Jay" was very rude and racist. My family and I walked in the ice cream shop and as soon as we did we felt tension, we are all hispanics and the owner was black. He was on the phone while taking our order so he was distracted.After he noticed he was making us a little mad by how he was acting he started being "nicer" but he was doing it as a joke.As soon as we were about to leave a black woman walked in and he yelled to her "HOLA", seemed like he was mocking us.We also CLEARLY asked for strawberry syrup on our red velvet icecream cake around three times but he purposely gave us chocolate syrup. FIRST and LAST time we will go there.

OMG!!! This is some of the best ice cream in LA. I had a double scoop of pineapple-coconut and strawberry cheesecake. The place was spotless and pleasant. It's a family-owned business and the owners are such nice people. I urge others to support family businesses like these.

It's a shame because I really wanted to like this place. The desserts itself aren't bad, but the service is. This was the second time I tried because the first time owner was rude when taking order this time I ordered on Uber eats. It only gives option to pick one flavor, even for triple scoop. I wrote in special instructions the flavors for the 3 scoops my child wanted, unfortunately we received one flavor for all 3 scoops. I even tipped the store 2$ for good faith. It's ice cream & desserts, not that hard to please your costumers. Anyways, I will be going back to BR until I can find another small ice cream business to support! Have a blessed day.

We were in tonight and promised to leave a review so here it is! We followed all the good Yelp reviews and they didn't steer us wrong. Lots of ice cream options! I personally had a jazz. It's like a build your own individual ice cream cake. I went with yellow cake, mint chocolate chip ice cream and caramel drizzle. It was delicious! I love options besides just scoops of ice cream. The owner was behind the counter and very kind and accommodating. Definitely a return visit when we're in town!

The hours are wrong, so I drive all the way out here to find that even though when you call they say they are open. Nope they were closed. Such back business, such ghetto business.

We were in the area for an event and I wanted some dessert. Found this place on yelp and was very happy I did. We went and each of the 6 of us got something different. I got the cookie sandwich with chocolate chip cookies, coffee ice cream and carmel drizzle. It was perfect. The others got waffle cones with strawberry cheesecake, banna nut and pecan praline and coffee. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Thank you!

Cookies and cream is my favorite flavor of ice cream, but since I stopped eating dairy, I've never been able to find a vegan version. JAMZ Creamery to the rescue! I saw on their website this morning that they'd added some vegan options, and to my pure delight, one of those flavors was cookies and cream. I ran my errands for the day and made JAMZ my last stop. One of the owners, Tanya, was super friendly and welcoming, and I love how bright, colorful, and fun the design of the store is. The verdict on the ice cream? DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back for more scoops, and suggest anyone looking for a cool treat check out this neighborhood gem.

We randomly found this place when my son was begging for ice cream on his way to tennis. The reviews did not disappoint. The owner, Jay was awesome. So personal and friendly. Rude and disrespectful owner. I stopped with a friend tonight excited to show them this spot and after a few minutes with an attendant, the owner walked out from a back room and said we were wasting time and threw the tasting spoons I'd just used back towards me. It was wildly confusing and plain mean. Will not come back again. Ever.

Great place in to cool down and treat yourself to something sweet in the city of Inglewood. Definitely recommend trying it if you haven't. Nice selection of flavors and unbeatable prices. Jay offers top notch friendly service and keeps his shop clean with a awesome environment. Definitely found my new favorite sweet spot.

I love to support black businesses so my sister and I were excited to try this place! I will say cute set up and good customer set but I was a bit lit down with taste. It wasn't bad, but it just did not reach my expectations I had created from the pictures. Very little sweetness but perhaps I'll go back and try something different. Please see pics below :)

10/10 over and over again. The owner is insanely kind. We have been back twice and each time they make it an experience and want to celebrate with you! The establishment is the CLEANEST location I have ever seen - just awesome. Lastly the ice cream was delicious! We will for sure be back. Such a breath of fresh air!

Delicious little gem in Inglewood. I was in the area, and I was craving something sweet after eating some salty pizza. I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try after seeing all of the amazing pictures. I also saw that it was a black owned business, so I knew I had to go and support. The owner greeted me and was so sweet and helpful, being it was my first time. He allowed me to try a couple of flavors before I made my decision. I decided to go with the chocolate malt crunch ice cream and the yellow cake, which is one of my favorite cakes! I topped it all off with a caramel drizzle. This treat was so tasty! The cake was moist and soft, making every bite taste like a cloud of heaven. When I got to the last bite, I was so sad because I knew that I wanted more but I didn't want to be greedy. The next time I'm in town, I will definitely be stopping here again :)

JAMZ Creamery has wonderful ice cream, service and prices. And it's a sweet little place that we will definitely return to.

Love this spot! Love that's it's black owned in the middle of downtown Inglewood. I've been a few times now and they're great! Super friendly and fun little ice cream shop. Always playing the right Music Jamz in the background and everything looks so delicious. I Definitely recommend this place for your next ice cream outing weather it's a date or with the kids! The Jazz has become my go to I think. 2 slices of cake(I go with red velvet) with ice cream in the middle and drizzle on top, oooh man it's a Great treat for me on a cheat day! ;)

The customer service here is top tier. I really enjoyed my visit here and the ice cream was great. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely come back. Anywhere I am treated well and the food is good quality I will return.

Great service and ice cream. We ordered two the jazz to go, one yellow cake with black walnut and red velvet cake with rock road which contains nuts and marshmallows. The cakes were moist and thick, and you can choose a drizzle to be on top of the cake too. We liked our order, the only thing that's not so perfect was the rock road ice cream was too melted. The store is very small. There weren't many seats. Street parking is available on both sides of the street and some more parkings around the corner.

Still just as delicious! Went back to jamz yesterday and their product is even better now!!! Jay was super friendly, and my sister and I both loved our ice cream!

Wow!!!!!! I did not expect to have the most amazing, delicious & mouth-watering dessert that I had last night @ JAMZ Creamery! We were in the area at LAX & decided to go for ramen on the Westside. To get the garlic taste out of our mouth, had to find a dessert place. Of course we Yelped it. Found a few high star places but most were closed already. Didn't really want ice cream but JAMZ was nearby & had fantastic reviews. So we went! It was just a couple miles down Manchester and in an area called Market. We got lucky & there was 30 min parking just outside JAMZ on the street. Though the market area probably has parking but late at night it's best not to walk far. We walked in and this totally chill dude came & greeted us. Super nice guy named Jay, who happened to be the owner. We decided to try their specialty which is called The Jazz. It's a customizable ice cream sandwich made with a choice of cake, JAMZ ice cream & topped with your choice of a drizzle. Couldn't decide between the yellow cake or lemon cake but we decided for yellow cake. Immediately we both said salted caramel ice cream! And we drizzled with condensed milk. TOO cool that they have condemned milk as a topping. Bonus points!!!! Who doesn't love condensed milk?! We took it to go & it was literally love at first bite! I'm addicted. Great customer service by Jay, delicious moist yellow cake, super fabulous ice cream & yummy condensed milk topping but not overkill. We decided we shouldn't have shared and got our own. Oh well; next time!

The ice cream cake sandwiches here are SO GOOD and the owner was so nice. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to come back to try the other flavor combinations.
