Incredible! I ordered from Janakpur last night and I couldn't be happier to have found my new Indian spot. Spice room was my go to, but my last few orders were sub par. I highly recommend the chili chicken and butter chicken. The only (small) complaint is that I wish they gave you more rice. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! EDIT: Ordered it last night and unfortunately I found two pieces of plastic in my food. I question their sanitation and quality control. Not sure if I can order from this place again.

Tried the chicken biryani at Janakpur Indian Restaurant in Westminster for $18. The quantity was just right. While it’s not quite the authentic Indian biryani I’ve had before, it was still really delicious, to the point I couldn’t stop eating. Loved the generous amount of cashews and raisins, which added a nice sweetness and texture. I went with mild spiciness, and it was perfectly balanced for my taste.

Our family love this place, we usually visit this restaurant. In starters samosa, onion bajji, Gobi Manchurian tastes amazing. For main course we have ordered Garlic Naan and paneer butter masala and taste was delicious. In dessert gulab jamun is so tasty. The service is so good as they serve everything hot. They welcome with good gesture and the atmosphere is very friendly.

First time here, and I love it! The food was delicious and the people were so friendly. They have a lot of vegan options, and everything sounds really good. For sure, I will be back! 😀

This is a hidden gem that needs to get more attention. The owner was very kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, truly some of the best Indian food we’ve had since moving to CO. The menu is huge with many specialty dishes. It is a simple place that looks like it might not be open but go in an take a seat. Prepare for a superb meal.

This is such a hidden gem, you have to try it. I have been to many Indian restaurants in the metro area, and this one is by far my favorite. The makhani is so flavorful and delicious. They also have the best wings, so try those too.

Love this place! My husband and I always get the Thali for Two. I’m a vegetarian but my husband isn’t, so it’s perfect that they have a Thali combo that is half veggie and half meat. But sometimes we get the full vegetarian Thali and it’s delicious for both of us. I love the variety of dishes with it and we always have a lot of leftovers. When we go for dinner, the atmosphere is always very quiet and low key. It’s a great place to go out when you want to get dinner but don’t feel like the noise and chaos of a busy restaurant. And a huge perk… You get a free bottle of wine with the Thali plates on Wednesdays!

Ordered some food for the first time for pick up, and when I arrived my order was missing, as someone else had somehow come in and claimed they were me and took home my order. They were quick to remake my entire order from scratch for no additional charge and apologized for the hassle. The food was also very good and I will definitely be coming back!

INCREDIBLE, AUTHENTIC, DELICIOUS Indian cuisine! Janakpur has become our go-to for an absolutely incredible taste of India! Our family does both take out and dine in from this amazing establishment and we are never dissapointed. We love that they have both meat (me) and vegetarian/vegan (wife) options. The Thali veg/non veg meal is our favorite to order as its a great value and let's you taste multiple parts of the menu. The wings, assorted naan, and samosas are always a must add on. Service is always perfect! Friendly, kind, accommodating staff provide such a wonderful experience. We go with our 3 yr old and the staff are always so sweet to her as well. We will always choose this when we are craving amazing flavors, spices, and an experience that always leaves us thinking about how great everything was. When dining in, they always make you feel like your the only one in the restauraunt, busy or not. Do yourself a favor, whether dine in or take out, and enjoy Janakpur for a true taste of India and unmatched hospitality. Can't say enough great things about this establishment.

Great Indian food and wonderful prices. My wife gets the chicken tika masala and I get the butter chicken and we enjoy it every time. The Naan is always perfectly done and probably the best I have had since my trip to Mumbai. Highly recommend.

Nice decor and lots of seating. We came on a Monday night and there was only a few people dining. Nice decor with a bunch of nice tapestry on the walls. The menu is expansive with a ton of options. Our server was very nice. We ordered the garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken tandoori, lamb curry. Everything was delicious! Prices were good. Very good Indian food!

Delicious lunch at Jankapur. I had the Madras curry with lamb and the dal soup. Both were excellent. Friendly service and reasonable prices. The menu is extensive, and if I lived closer to this restaurant I would be returning frequently to check out their various options. And I will certainly do so when I am in the area again. The restaurant also has a nice and welcoming decor. I strongly suggest you give Jankapur a try.

Fantastic food--to the degree I wouldn't care about the environment I was in. Quick and direct service. The medium spice level has the heat you would expect from a real Indian place. I ordered the Chana Saag (mild) and Chicken Tikka Masala (medium). Both were fantastic and I was excited to eat the leftovers! The naan was great, but I wouldn't recommend the iced chai. The menu is very clear about GF, vegan and vegetarian options! I would 100% go again.

I came here on a Thursday night with my partner and it was great. They weren't too busy and the food came out fairly quickly. I can't have gluten and was so happy they had gluten free rice bread. It was almost as good as naan which is great. We got the saag paneer and the Dal Tarkka. They were both good but the saag paneer was very good. Overall delicious food and a great time.

Janakpur was recommended by a friend who had been living in the area. When I realized it was so close to my house I knew I needed to stop by. I took a look at the menu and tried to figure out what some of the most popular dishes are and order based on that. I tried the Tikka Masala and it was really good. I also tried the bread sampler which came with garlic naan, cheese naan, and aloo paratha. The aloo paratha was divine. It was my first time trying it, but it was like a pillowy piece of heaven! The Tikka masala was really good too. There was a good portion of food. I had plenty left after I ate to my heart's content so I got a few meals out of the portion. This was so yummy. The restaurant itself was quiet and cozy when I was there. I did a takeout order but observed a few people sitting at tables enjoying meals. It was a really good vibe. I can see myself stopping in for another meal soon!

Janakpur is awesome. The food is delicious and the service is friendly, attentive, and quick. Today I had Madras (Madrasi curry, with fish, spiced "hot"), garlic-cheese naan, and Gajar Halwa (carrot pudding) for dessert. I loved the Madras. The naan was the best I have ever had: fresh, soft, hot, tasty. Perhaps softer or ticker than most. The halwa was sweet, spiced well. I just don't like carrots at all so I'm surprised i ordered it, but I longed for a halwa I once had in Chennai, so I tried it. This dessert was good here, but it is definitely carrots! :-) This is a great location. Not busy. Very easy to get to and to get in and out of the parking lot. Great parking. They seem to have a healthy take out and delivery business. Try Janakpur. You'll love it!

Always great food here. We get takeout mainly and service is always great. The restaurant itself looks very nice and clean.

Ordered take out/pick up order. I got the chicken tikka masala, medium spice and upgraded to the saffron rice. I also ordered a veggie samosa appetizer. Everything was perfect. The portion of the chicken tikka was large which I really appreciated. I have tried other places in the Westminster/Broomfield area and the portions here are a much better value! You can order pick up through their website without any fees, highly recommend!

Completely exquisite Indian food. This is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been too, by far, and I have been to many. Their food is just delicious, warming and exquisite, with spice mixes that taste so fresh and heavenly. They are also incredibly kind people, with a good spirit. This place is fantastic.

last night had a dinner party for 18 adults. Food was fantastic especially the bone in Chicken tandoori. Service was great. thank you again for serving our large group.

This place never fails and Always satisfying and Delicious!!!! Even the mild is super tasty! I can onyl eat hot 2 weeks outta the month to keep heatness at bay since sauna daily is my heat maxout. We tried one new thing which is the fruit mixec naan and I am hooked! A hint of sweetness! They have the best naan, aleays said it and it still stands!

Amazing food here are some dishes I have tried with dine in and take-out: Chicken Tikka Masala here has something special about it, it is very rich, creamy, and flavorful. We usually order this dish medium spice level which is very mild, to preserve the rich flavor of the sauce. Saag Paneer is always creamy, mild, and delicious. Vegetable curry (hot) has a wonderful warm spice that compliments the curry very well. Perfect enjoyable heat level. Samosas are always huge. Fluffy flaky pastry dough stuffed with a generous portion of filling, these are savory and so filling. Mixed Vegetable Pakora is perfectly crispy, large portions of mixed vegetables. Delicious dipped in raita or mint chutney. Garlic Naan has huge delicious pieces of garlic, two large pieces of naan in an order. I could do with more naan in an order but it is a very large portion, I'm just saying it's very good and I always wish there was more. Tandoori Chicken is delicious, I order this with the hot flavor level as well. I will be honest, the tandoori chicken is the only dish I may not order again, I just prefer my tandoori chicken to be really dry, theirs has a sauce on it. Saffron rice / Regular rice - both are good, and mostly a vessel for getting delicious curry or tikka masala sauce. Raita is always great, I wish it was a touch tangier from the yogurt but that just may be my personal taste. The side portion for take-out is generous (8 oz to go containers) Mint Chutney is AMAZING. I will always order it, it's got such a unique complimenting flavor, it goes well with every dish. Our one dine in service was not great (slow service, I don't know if this is typical as we only dined in once), our take-out experience is always great. The food is packaged really well, super hot, and delicious. As far as take-out Indian food goes, I think this is our go to spot for Indian food. We would likely try dine in again someday.

We ordered delivery and it was amazing! Portions sizes are perfect for sharing and everything was perfectly spiced. Chicken tikka masala is the best I've had in a very long time. I could sit down and eat the whole dish of saag in one sitting. Can't wait for the next date night when we can order again.

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant since it opened. One of our favorite dishes is the daal puri thadkari with kheer and goat. We have taken many friends and recommended this restaurant many times. I will never be going back again. Not only did it take my online order over an hour to be ready (despite it saying it would take 20 minutes), when I showed up to pick it up the hostess was incredibly rude and kept telling me it would be ready in 5 minutes. I waited an additional 30 minutes before she came out to tell me that one of my items wasn't made because they were confused by the item even though it was their number 1 special on the menu. All of this can be chalked up to inexperienced staff, yes. The worst part was when i got my order, there were key items missing from 2 dishes that make the dish complete. First was the kheer that makes their #1 special dish "special." The other was the Batura for the Chana Batura. Batura is a specific bread to complete the dish). We got back home to eat and found both missing. I contacted the owner and I asked for those 2 dishes (I ordered 4) be refunded because the dish was so incomplete. The owner was just as rude as the hostess and making excuses about how hard it is to do a partial refund for online orders. He then continued to say that these things happen and made multiple excuses. Based on his lack of caring and being so easily dismissive about the experience we had after being a loyal customer for the past 2 years, I will never return to this place and will actively recommend against visiting this place. On top of that, the food was incredibly bald tonight and lacked the flavor it had in the past.

Amazing as always. I could have sworn I wrote a review but I guess not! Everything we've tried from the veggie biryani to the paneer masala to the samosa chaat to the various naans has been incredibly tasty, rich in flavor and color, and consistently yummy. We basically only order delivery (like for lunch today) but have tried an assortment of vegetarian dishes (+ I believe a shrimp biryani) and sauces/sides. I finally had a chance to stop in today to pick up something for our order. The owners are so friendly and the interior is impeccably clean and welcoming! Highly, highly recommend checking Janakpur out for your next Indian feast! Edit: ahh, just saw i HAVE reviewed this place :) Yelp gave me the blank stars and didn't mention an update being created, oops. Well, here ya go. Still a great spot!

Bathrooms are very clean coming from a plumber the food is very good and hot and temperature which is good. I got the spicy and my wife got the mild together. We're very happy together. They have very nice music playing in the background. very, very, very elegant. I really enjoyed myself.

We came with our Indian friend and she ordered everything, in two different rounds. First round included an assortment of Naan breads; Chicken Makhani (kinda like Chicken Tikka Masala but I wasn't too crazy about how they cut the chicken, it didn't do any favor to the breast meat); and Saag. It's nothing unusual than my usual Indian Food orders. Second round was so much better. Turned out, she had mistakenly ordered from the Vegetarian Bread section without knowing the better stuff is on the last page. So this time around, she got us the Cheese one and the garlic ones. So much softer when it's not all made with wheat flour! Great vehicle for the Chicken Curry we had, which featured really juicy dark meat in chunks - just the way it should be cut! Lastly we had the appetizer "Samosa Chat (Smashed vegetable samosa topped with yogurt, tamarind, mint, and chat masala.)" So much better than the whole Samosas as it's more flavorful and less dry (thanks to the yogurt and tamarind mixture)

So good! This is my favorite place for Indian food. The food is always fast and delicious. It's quiet and never overly busy. I think they do mostly take out, but I love that we can always get in quickly and have delicious food.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Located behind Walgreens, it isn't easy to see, but the food is fabulous. The portions are very generous and the menu has many choices. Heat choices of mild, medium and hot are offered. A full bar allows you to indulge in fun alcoholic drinks as well. The owner was also the waiter and was very nice and accommodating. Please support small business and eat at Janakpur! I will definitely be back.

That was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. And that's saying a lot since I'm an almost-50 foodie. I had mixed chicken/veg tikka masala, garlic naan, and a side of achaar (spiced pickled fruit/veg used like a relish). I would consider flying back from Idaho just to eat here again. The facility is pretty basic but between the tablecloths and wine water glasses, excellent service, and out of this world food, no one would care that the ambiance was simple.

If there's one place that's become synonymous with our D&D and Gloomhaven nights, it's Janakpur. We've been consistently ordering from them for our play sessions, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute treat every time. Their samosas? Downright addictive. They've got this perfect salty kick that hits just right and leaves you reaching for another. I have definitely ordered these for lunch several times as well. And the Dal Tarkka? A flavorful masterpiece that warms you from the inside out. Speaking of warming up, anytime I'm under the weather, Janakpur is my go-to remedy. Their Dal Soup and Chicken Soup are the perfect comfort foods when I'm feeling down. There's just something about their rich flavors and hearty ingredients that feels like a warm hug and helps set me right. Cheers for getting me threw several bouts of the flu or COVID this last year.

My daughter and I wanted to try a place for Indian food. My daughter hasn't tried Indian food. We searched in our area around Standley Lake and this came up immediately. They have a 5 star review with 34 reviews. That's awesome! It was fantastic! Please go Here. You won't be disappointed! Please try and visit the location rather than do take out with a food delivery service. They need our help! Good food!

We had the lunch special and the food was good. However, we had bought a Groupon and this is the reason we came to this restaurant. Not until the end where we told that we can't use a Groupon for the lunch special. I read the terms of the Groupon when I bought it & nowhere did it say this would not apply to specials. We feel the restaurant should have accepted our Groupon anyway since this was not clarified in the Groupon information. Very disappointing and not the best customer service.

Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and Protein Salad are out of this world! Can't comment on service as we did a pick order but the food quality is well worth the visit!!! Pro tip, dip and dunk that naan into the masala - yummmm

My husband and I have been to Janakpur five times now and they never disappoint. Their food is authentic, it's delicious, and it's a craving that is satisfied often. Get the Gobi Manchurian no matter what, medium heat, and you'll be addicted.

Went on a Thursday night and our wait time, food, and service were fantastic. We started with the veggie samosas which had great flavor, flaky pastry with a good touch of salt, and good dipping sauces. For dinner we went with Chicken Tikka, Saag Paneer and Lamb Biryani. I love spinach and the Saag was awesome. Super creamy, and we ordered it mild so the sweetness shone through. Tikka was great, and we always order that as a baseline when trying new places . Biryani wasn't like others I've had but was quite good. For us it was a little hot, even though we ordered it mild. Restaurant itself was clean and inviting and I'm sure we'll be back!

I've only ordered takeout from here so cant speak to in store experience. This is my favorite Indian spot / their food has great flavor, especially the chicken. The texture is just right (not overcooked) and the seasoning is delicious. The garlic cheese naan is great as well - the best I've found west of denver!

The food here is great and the people who work here are friendly. When I've eaten here, the service has been slow but attentive and kind. They have some very good vegan options. But there's one incredibly frustrating thing about Janakpur. If you order online, rice is not included by default, and the way the Clover website is designed, it's very easy to miss the "add rice" radio button. I have ordered twice and not gotten rice. (Other times, I have done it properly and gotten rice! It's easy to just skip right past it.) It's not exactly the restaurant's fault - it's their online ordering system Clover, but rice really should be included anyway. It's incredibly frustrating to get home and find there's no rice. If you order online, make sure you scroll down when the "add to cart" window pops up and add rice to your order.

My wife and I ate here on Valentine's Day last week and we both really loved the food. The service was also great and it was a very nice atmosphere as we ate. We both highly recommend this as a place to go if you want to get some delicious Indian food!

I would give Janakpur 10 stars if I could. I've only ordered dishes for pick-up, but each time I've had their food it is outstanding! The flavors are absolutely wonderful. My order has always been correct and the restaurant is consistent which I love. There's nothing worse than ordering your favorite foods and something changes without you knowing about it and no indication on the menu. Excellent job yet again Janakpur, you are my go-to in Colorado for Indian food. Thank you!

We shared Chicken Mushroom Masala and Vegetable Kheer Puri Tarkari with garlic nann. Absolutely delicious and have leftovers for lunch this week. Great environment and helpful staff. Will be back!

Unbelievably delicious from the Gobi Manchurian to the rice dessert. Their combo dinners are a fantastic collection of the greatest hits. The owner is excellent, friendly and actively wants you to enjoy your meal. It is kind of hidden but worth the hunt!

I regret that it took so long to try this place. Hidden in the backside of a strip mall off Wadsworth & Church Ranch, it's easy to miss. Despite the restaurant's humble location, the interior is classy & spotless, with a white tablecloth covering each table. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We ordered the garlic naan, chicken makhani, & chicken vindaloo. Our favorite was the makhani, with its rich, buttery taste and complex blend of spices. Both the makhani and the vindaloo also had nice heat. We look forward to our return.

We ordered vegetarian Thali an hour ago, they gave us vegan one. We asked twice if it vegetarian and NOT vegan. They confirmed twice. We ordered about 20 min before closing. But it seemed like they were in a hurry to close and hurriedly gave us something that we didn't order. It is disappointing and I feel fooled into spending about 50$ for something which we didn't want. Being an Indian, being cheated by an Indian outside India for Indian food is a new low.

We ordered carry out tonight. We got a larger order and it took a while for them to make it. That's ok. They were busy and it is a small place. It's nice and bright inside and impeccably clean. I had seen good reviews of this place and was excited to try it. I love how they have what is vegan very clearly labeled so I can order online and don't need to call and check. We got samosas and onion Pakora as appetizers. I got veggie korma with saffron rice. My husband got tandoori chicken and we ordered two pieces of bread. I really enjoyed the food. I liked the spicy korma and the samosa was excellent. I thought this was some of the best Indian food I've tried so far here in Denver. My husband said the saffron rice was a little bland but he is picky about rice. My husband also really enjoyed his food. I love all the clearly marked vegan options, but I would love to see more vegan protein options with chickpeas and tofu on the menu. However, although I realize pricing for everything is going up, I was surprised how small the portions are for the price. I don't mind paying as much as I did if I we also have leftover for lunch but we didn't and they charge extra for rice and an additional charge for saffron rice and $3/4 for small one piece of bread. I would feel like I was getting a better value if I was getting a mix of things as meal for a flat rate. They had a meal deal for two but it didn't work for us because of our different diets.

Wow this is the best Indian food in Westminister that we've found! We got the Madras Chicken and naan stuffed with potato. Sooo delicious

You will love the food here! It was excellent quality & piping hot (temperature, we are spice wimps;) The service was attentive without hovering. We really enjoyed our evening.

Met a friend for lunch, ordered the veggie thali for two. Generous portions. Flavors were good. We ordered medium spice and the spiciness was right on. A couple of the dishes tasted sort of the same, but everything was tasty. They give you a couple different chutneys. I'd rather have raita served than rice pudding, but other than that small complaint good value. We had leftovers.

We ordered from Janakpur this evening. The food came in a reasonable time and was pretty good. The order was delivered by Grubhub. Unfortunately, the samosas we ordered were not included in the delivery. When I called the restaurant, they told me they were included and told me to shoot a picture of the order and send it to them. I assured them the samosas were not delivered and then they told me the "driver must be greedy and took them out of the bag." I told them I doubted that and then rather than offering to give a refund for those items, they told me to drive over and pick them up. I ended up calling Grubhub and they very quickly credited my account. While the food was generally good enough and was delivered in a reasonable time, the employee who called the driver "greedy" and accused them of stealing was a real put off. We likely won't order from here again.

Great food, ample portion, excellent service and at a good (reasonable) price. The chicken wings appetizer was great, and the lamb dishes were particularly tasty. Will return soon.

Janakpur is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Each dish is done so well, even a staple like Tikka Masala is better than any I've had in the front range. This place is a hidden gem and should be a lot more recognized for its quality.

Soooooo good. We've tried a couple Indian places lately to try to find our go-to and this was our favorite so far. People were super nice and service was pretty good. Probably best chicken tikka masala I've ever had, the sauce was like joy. Great chicken tandoori, and GREAT garlic naan. Highly recommend. Deserves to be way more busy than it was when we went in.
