We booked a brunch cruise for my sister's birthday. There were 8 of us. We all enjoyed the trip. The brunch was delicious with plenty of food for seconds. We were able to walk around the boat during the trip and catch the sights on both sides of the river. We went out to the lighthouse and back. I thought 2 hours was perfect for us. The 4 people in charge did a wonderful job and made our experience a good one. I would definitely go again . Barb Gail

The sunset river cruise was very enjoyable. The weather was perfect. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of wildlife including deer, eagles, and a beaver. A great date night or family night.

Bingo Cruise fun with J&M Cruise Lines! We had such a great time on the cruise yesterday! From the moment we boarded, the atmosphere was super friendly and welcoming. It’s BYOB and snacks, which made it feel fun and laid-back - perfect for a casual outing. The views were absolutely beautiful - we cruised past stunning waterfront homes, colorful, murals, charming little islands, even spotted some wildlife. It’s such a relaxing and unique way to see the city from the water. The cruise is very affordable, with both weekend and weekday options for events, which is perfect for planning something fun without breaking the bank. Parking was a breeze two dash there’s a secure garage right across from the dock, so those who drive do not need to stress at all. Highly recommend J&M cruise lines for anyone looking for a scenic and fun local experience. Will definitely be back for another cruise soon!

He always loved rivers and lakes, so we searched ChatGPT and found J&M Cruise Lines. The online booking process was simple and we reserved our preferred departure time with ease. Although the weather was cool and drizzly, the directions guided us straight to the boat. Captain Jim met us on time and welcomed us with professionalism and warmth. It was thrilling to see how much the downtown riverfront has changed since we moved away in the late 1980s. The tour exceeded all our expectations and made us forget the less-than-ideal weather. We have one suggestion. It would help if J&M Cruise Lines provided dedicated parking for guests. Our tour began before the nearby garage opened for public parking and this made it difficult for those in our group with limited mobility to find close spots. Other than that, the experience was wonderful and Captain Jim is both an excellent captain and a knowledgeable guide. On our next visit to town, we will definitely book another cruise with J&M Cruise Lines. They are a real asset to Toledo tourism.

It was a nice experience. My wife and I attended the lunch outing. The crew were very professional and nice. The Sandpiper was good for a site seeing trip, though the restrooms were a bit rough. The trip goes upstream for about six miles and mostly you'll see a mix of woods, grain industrial buildings and some nice homes. The box lunch was decent and served. Good amount of drinks available on board. I had hoped for maybe some more local history being told and maybe a bit more about the local wildlife. If you have a mid day open, I would recommend the trip.

We really enjoyed the 2-hour Fall Colors Tour on the Maumee River aboard the Sandpiper. I highly recommend this unique activity! The Captain and First Mate were very nice and provided some interesting information along the way. The hot apple cider and delicious donuts were a nice touch, as well. We will be taking our out-of-town family and friends the next time they visit.

Sandpiper Murder Mystery Cruise Review The staff on the Sandpiper were very nice and friendly, and the show itself was a lot of fun! The audience participation added to the experience, and I really liked that you can bring your own beverages onboard — that’s a great perk. The only slight disappointment was the lack of themed decorations. I had been on the Fall Leaf Cruise the week before, and the same “fall” décor was used without any specific Murder Mystery touches. Still, overall it was a great experience and definitely worth doing!

We booked the Lighthouse Cruise on the Glass City Pearl for August 24, 2025, 2-5 pm. My family of three, along with 30+ other passengers, arrived at the designated dock on time. The boat was in the water, but the dock gate was locked. No staff ever showed up to open it, and despite calling multiple times, no one answered the phone. Everyone stood waiting until it became clear we were not going to be able to board. There was no email, call, or sign posted to explain what was happening. We are flying out tomorrow, so rescheduling isn't possible. We paid $180.15 for this cruise, and not only missed the experience we were looking forward to, but also wasted our time on what should have been a special evening. Very disappointing and unprofessional. I am requesting a full refund and hope J&M Cruise Lines improves their communication and reliability.

We enjoyed the Toledo Mural cruise very much. It was right on time, very relaxing and a pure joy. The prices were very reasonable, the crew were wonderful and informative.

They advertise it is a sunset cruise, It really was a cruise DURING SUNSET. Fire the crew, fire the advertisers. Don't put on post it is a sunset cruise when it is indeed Not...people seemed bored what a joke, what a ripoff , how do businesses get away with this crap?

We booked a cruise to see the Toledo Lighthouse and waited half an hour for them to show up. No answer on their phone, no notice of a delay or a cancellation. Nothing. Nobody bothered to show up or let us know. I'm so disgusted by this lack of professionalism. Edit to add they did call me at almost 3pm and said it was an oversight. Apparently, they aren't aware what is on their own website and didn't even realize a cruise was scheduled that day. I don't know how anyone who runs a business is not aware of what is on their website. Will never ever book them again and will tell everyone I know to never book them.

Very dis appointed food was cold French toast mushy bacon slice of white cheese on cold crescent not appetizing seats very hard only had 4 tables not worth $48.00 will not recommend

We participated in a "taco Tuesday" cruise on the river. We ordered two adult taco meals and they ran out and only provided us with kids meals. Then, as we headed up river, there was a train stopped on the swing bridge and the captain waited 20 minutes (or more) for the train to move (which it didn't) when all he had to do is turn the boat around and go down river for a while. I can't recommend this at all. Very poorly executed.

This was a good time for us. My father in law turned 62 ! So what better way to celebrate than going to put in bay for the day. Pick up drop off right downtown Toledo. The staff was amazing! Professional, kind, and very pleasant to be around. Thanks for the awesome memories

The cruise was nice and we had great weather and a beautiful sunset. The Taco Tuesday food however was cold so I could only give it 3 stars.

The Booze Cruise with Karaoke was nice. The DJ was very shady and very bias on how the order for people that put songs in to sing.. He allowed multiple people to sing multiple times. The last 20 minutes he allowed them others to sing.. Also they did not allow a person from our group on the boat, it was stated there wasn't enough seats but she purchased her ticket ahead of time..

We tried to run a boat with this group for a small reunion. Overall, they could not have been harder to schedule with way too many returned, phone calls, commitments to get in touch, not kept, etc. Ultimately, we chose not to use this business based on our concern in trying to just get a time set up for a private cruise.

Since the second time , i'm taking a big group Of friends on this boat. Thirty people two years ago fifty people this year. Beautiful sites fun experience food was really good. B y o b is nice and save you some money

The sunset cruise was a very relaxing ride on the lake. Staff was awesome and pointed out some sites of interest! Would recommend.

I had a good time & the staff was friendly & helpful . I did not give a 5 due to minor issues that should not deter visitors from experiencing the cruise and have been privately addressed with manager to hopefully improve future guest experiences.

This is a boat downtown that can be rented for private events or they have scheduled lunch and dinner cruises usually about 2 hours. It is BYOB and if you rent the boat out you can bring your own food. My friend rented the boat for her birthday 80s 90s themes party. Plenty of seating for around 50 folks. It just cruises around downtown and she was able to play 80s 90s music. I never did see any staff so can't say much about service. The ladies bathroom quit flushing mid cruise. Thank goodness it was only 2 hours. Smooth water, good snacks, and my own drinks. $25 per person. Check it out when the weather is nice

These people should not be in business, and hopefully, will not be for long due to their complete clueless idea of how to schedule or run a business. We tried to book a night cruise and we're told just to wait on the dock and wait for the Harbor master. The Harbor master told us the boat would be there in w 15 to 20 minutes. It showed up in 50 minutes and then we were told it would be another 30 minutes till we could go anywhere. Everything that Kelly, who I first talked to on the phone, was wrong. Everything the Harbor master said was wrong.

We had the most lovely tour on the Sandpiper this morning. The first mate was efficient and friendly. The captain very interactive and knowledgeable. But.....the young lady from University of Toledo Lake Erie Center "Isabel" was so smart and informative regarding fowl & fauna of the River she held the interest of all age groups. We saw eagles, egret, blue heron and the crew team!!

Great trip to see the mural on the river. Good, helpful crew. Pretty scenery. Just an all-good day for all ages.
