J&T’s Kitchen

My friends and I had lunch there today after seeing the owners on the local TV Channel 4. The food spread looked delicious even on TV! we definitely wanted to go. They did not disappoint! Young lady server was friendly, patience and got all of our orders right!. The food was so so good nicely seasoned and spicy. Everything was fresh from the kitchen in ample amounts. The prices were priced affordable and fair to market. They have an outdoor area street view that's nice too. The street is one way... free parking is on the side street. I told the owner we saw him & his wife on Channel 4 morning news. He was happy we came to "support"

The food is just amazing and flavorful. Big portions, every thing i have tried taste so good. The 3 meat tacos is so bussing. Love love the wings...I recommend

Super friendly staff.. owner/chef is a genuine good person. The food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable. I really like this little place, it's my new go-to. Keep up the great work

Tasty Mexican food! Loved the carnitas and cauliflower tacos, chimichanga, and spicy tinga enchiladas 🤤 Great for takeout and there's some tables outside for when the weather's nice. Affordable and generous portions. Friendly owners and staff!

Everything on the menu is delicious! Big portions, good prices, friendly people! Both indoor and outdoor seating, with quick take out too! Most entrees are around $11 which you just can’t beat.

Food is always on point. Service is super friendly. Great atmosphere. I love coming here. It’s my go-to for Mexican but also excellent for so much more. They have an awesome catering service too.

Was out house hunting in the area with moms and stumbled on this spot, not far from where she grew up on the North End. Ended up being one of the best decisions of the day. Everything here is made from scratch and you can taste it...fresh, legit, and done right. The crew was laid-back, and one of the owners happened to be there. He shared his journey of bringing this place to the west side near Virginia Park/New Center. I ordered an omelet and it was excellent. Normally I don't trust breakfast potatoes--they're usually filler--but these converted me. Seasoned right, crispy edges, and I actually finished them. That says a lot. If you're in the area, J&T's Kitchen is worth checking out. Solid food, good people, and a real Detroit hustle.

I am back for my third meal at J & T's Kitchen Detroit. The friendly face and warm greeting have not faltered. The food just seems to get better every time. The spice is just right with a pleasant burn on the tongue. This is a hidden gem in Detroit.

I don't even like shrimp and their shrimp tacos are The flan and me r good friends. All the tacos r great. My in-laws love the wings. U can't go wrong here.

I am so happy that I stumbled upon J & T's Kitchen Detroit! I was able to try their Cajun pasta when they graciously offered it at The Shareable Table. It was a lovely chicken and penne pasta dish smothered in a Cajun sauce, with onions and green and red peppers The pasta was cooked perfectly. It was also accompanied by garlic bread and a side. I really felt lucky because the pasta dish is actually only on their menu once a month. They have apparently been in the restaurant industry for quite a while but they are currently offering Mexican and Mexican Fusion dishes for delivery and pickup. They actually only have meals available on Friday and Sunday currently. They take orders online or by phone on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The meals are then made and you can request delivery or pick up. My husband who is extremely picky and has not cared for the majority of the carry-out meals we have recently had really like this! I was so shocked. That is how yummy it was. I will definitely be trying more of their menu. I even signed up for text reminders to order.
